Hey Folks. It seems the old long threads like our original introduction thread may be on the fritz for quite some time if not forever. Therefore, here's the new Introduction thread. You can read about some of the other folks here by clicking on the Introductions link. Just don't post there. There is no telling when and if your post would show up there.

So, welcome and tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hey all!

Okay, the only thing i have to say is that from the moment i first laid eyes on her i knew i was in love. Miss Kitty Fantastico i love you!!!

Heheh, anyways i've been lurking for awhile now and thought i'd actually join in on the fun. I'm 17 and from Australia and have been a huge Buffy fan since it began. Now I'm also a huge Amber/Tara fan not only because Amber is so goddamn beautiful on the outside, but she is such a beautiful/cool person on the inside too. From the interviews and stuff i have read, she seems like such a natural person and not at all a foney (is that how u spell it?) like other people in showbiz often sound like. She just says what she wants to say, which is so cool. Okay i admit it, i'm a smitten kitten!

Meow

Did u know i had to edit this because i wrote Ms Kitty instead of Miss Kitty the first time!!! I'm not worthy, I am sooo not worthy. hehe

Hello everyone!

Like Catwoman, I was a longtime lurker before I decided to make my first post.

I'm from Canada and has been an ardent follower of BTVS since day one. I love the writing and acting on this show. It became even better for me when Joss introduced the W/T storyline, which was a breath of fresh air on prime time television. It was a gutsy move on their part and that made me admire this show more.

My two closest friends are in the same situation as Willow and Tara. I was so relieved for them when they finally came out into the open about their relationship just recently. It felt good to exhale after a year and half of holding my breath. I was the only one who knew about them and I obviously felt like I was constantly making sure that I didn't do or say anything that would give them away. Boy was I GLAD when it was all said and done.

Sadly though, my friend's mother disowned her and so they were forced to move to a new city. To be honest with you, it took me a while to get used to the idea too so I know that her mom will eventually come around. I don't see them as often anymore but everytime I see Willow and Tara together I'm reminded of them. Actually, they watch BTVS now too and we always e each other after the shows.

I told them about this site which someone from a list posted a link to. I find myself laughing and learning something new everytime I come to visit.

Ah, so that's why I couldn't post earlier! It all falls into place now.

Anyhoo, I come to the Buffy circles via the fanfic world - I read LOTS of f/f stuff, Xena, Voyager, Scully, you name it. I started reading Buffy stuff even though I'd never seen the show - it's hard for me to catch primetime stuff 'cuz I work nights.

Then, about 2 months ago, I discovered that a cable channel up here in Canada (YTV) has Buffy on Saturday nights! I've been watching weekly since, and am pleased to see the expectations I had from reading are well-matched by the show itself.

So, I just *adore* the W/T relationship, and eagerly await the day Faith finally returns and confesses her undying love for Buffy. Hey, girl can dream, eh?

Yours,

Kalita, finally an intro post Have you seen any of the season 4 eps? I hope you get a chance to see how this relationship developed, if you haven't seen season 4. You are in for a treet!

Hey!
I totally love it here! I've just been sitting and reading for ages! It rocks to be able to hear peoples opinions on Willow and Tara, especially since they're the same as mine! Guess I should introduce myself then!
I'm 16 and live in Gosport, England and I totally love Buffy, espesh W/T, but I loved Willow before the Tara storyline anyway. I think I may favour Tara, but my opinion is different nearly everyday! Um, right now, I'm up to episode four, and it's five this week, of season five, which means I've yet to see 'Family' and I am just DYING!!!I can't wait, and I'm *almost* completely unspoiled! Anyway, great to be here,

{{hugs to all}}

No, I haven't seen any season 4 - but I've read up on what I could find. I don't know anyone who keeps tape archives or anything, though, and I probably wouldn't have time now anyway, with work and school.

I'll keep my eyes peeled, though!

Introduce myself, introduce myself...hmmm...not sure what to say: "Cause I'm...shy." Heh, 2nd favorite line in that 3rd season ep Dopplegangland.

OK, I saw BTVS the first time while switching channels during commercials a few years ago & decided it was better than what I was watching. I think it was Becoming Part 2.

I don't watch Angel because I think the Scooby gang *makes* the show. And I've lurked/posted on a few boards enough to be amazed at the season 4 hatred - I didn't enjoy the Initiative/Adam storyline, but it was a great year for Aly/Willow.

And, yes, I *knew* something was up when Tara clasped hands with Willow to move that pop machine: I got a warm quiver in my stomach and thought "Are they (TPTB) gonna do what I think they're gonna do?" Yeah, baby!

You see, whenever I watch an ensemble show, I *expect* that at least one of the characters will be gay or bi or questioning or transitioning. If it isn't shown, I pick a likely one & wait. This attitude started when I wrote a paper in college on The Appearance Of Gay Characters In American Television. At the time there were only two. Now there are too many for me to be a one-pup GLAAD anymore, so I'm farming the work out to others (Will & Grace, ER, etc).

I just try to keep up on stuff, due to my love/hate relationship with mass media, and watch what seems interesting.

Hi, I'm Kristin, I post here sometimes but have avoided introducing myself, because I like to be elusive...er, rather i am very shy.

I'm a huge Buffy fan and the moment I saw Tara and Willow hold hands in Hush i knew they were going to have a relationship...I can't even believe the denial some people were in over them being together, to me it seemed so obvious and right.

I'm a 19 year old college student studying studio art and doing a little anthropology on the side (just in case the Watchers council needs an extra set of hands...that's the kind of fantasyworld i live in).

Geez, how rude of me to just get all post happy w/o properly introducing myself.

Hi! my name is discostar! I am 19yo male, i live in NYC (staten Island). my hobbies include, publishing a zine, anime/cartoons (80s too) and playing in a cheesy band. i also have my own webpage http://www.coveredinstars.com/

I am a pretty big buffy fan and have been watching since day one. It actually happend quite by accident. I was walking home and listening to the radio and a commercial came on for it and i was shocked they that made buffy into a series--of all the obscure movies, right? well i was shocked at how much fun it was! I was on the same page as buffy. When i looked at the other two WB shows i watched on a regular basis, the creek (lol) and felicity, i noticed that dawsons creek was like a year or two behind me and felicity was a year ahead, but buffy was right there w/ me. We entered senior year of high school together, went to the prom together, we graduated together, we destroyed the evil mayor together...oh wait that was a day dream i had. so yeah...

I didnt become a big willow fan untill about season 2. I love her and tara! When i heard there was a comic coming out that was just about the witchy poos we love, i decided to see if there were any fan pages and stuff for fans of the couple and its great to see that there are. lol, take that "willow and oz forever" people! lol (^_^) (not that i didnt love oz!) I also found out my sisters fav characters are willow and tara too.

so thats me!

Hiyah. I'm a 31 y.o. male from New Zealand. I post elsewhere using the handle IdiotJed but I felt like a change of name for this MB and Waffles kind of appealed to me.

I liked Willow from episode one and though I once was a W/X shipper I now like them both where they are. Amber is gorgeous and she and Alyson have some real chemistry on screen.

I something of a spoiler slut. My all-consuming passion is the mind-bending "Restless". I'm also a compulsive speculator.

And now... some gratuitous smilies

I'm 18, I live in California, and I'm currently in my second semester of college.

I've been a Buffy fan for a while, can't remember what season I started watching it. I think I watched it on and off seasons 2 and 3 and really really got into it season 4. That's right about the time Xena started to um not be as good as it used to, so Buffy became the new favorite show.

I'm sorry for not having introduced myself earlier, but as someone has already said, shy people tend to do that...
My name is Luciene and I'm 27 years old. I'm a Brazilian EFL teacher (which makes me even more self-conscious about my typing errors...)
I love this board because I love to talk and to read about Willow and Tara. They're absolutely sweet and I was very (pleasantly) surprised when I learned that Willow had fallen for a girl (do you remember when she had a crush on Xander?). But, when I got to know Tara, I understood it completely.
They are airing the last episodes of the fourth season and on Tuesday I'll be watching the Yoko Factor. But I love to read spoilers; in fact, I enjoy reading the scripts that are on-line. (Tommo, if you're reading this, now you know that I haven't watched "Family" yet, just read the script; I was too saddened by it to admit it...). Anyway, the fifth season will be airing March 6 and I can hardly wait.
What a long introduction for such a shy girl! Well, one more thing about me: my girlfriend really likes you people, because I'm always pestering her about W/T and she isn't even a fan - she needs a break.
It's good to be here.
