Tara sat in her room reading a book for her geometry class as she wondered what her ex-lover was up to. She was having a hard time concentrating; it was as if something was throbbing in her head.
Tara closed her eyes, she could feel the pain in her heart, and she did what she had to do. She hoped Willow was doing better, because all she wanted was to be with her beloved again.
“Oh Willow I miss you so much.” Tara said quietly.
She looked down at the phone and thought maybe I should check up on everyone and call Dawnie. < Maybe I could talk to Willow.> She picked up the phone and dialed Buffy’s number waiting for an answer.
Dawn looked up for a second then back down at the book she was reading for homework. She lifted up her hand slowly and answered it.
“Hello?”
“Hey Dawnie!” Tara said as she grabbed for her geometry book once more.
“Hey Tara. What’s up?” Dawn put a bookmark on the page she was on and closed the book so she could have more attention to the phone and to the person she was talking to.
“Nothing really, H-how is everyone?”
“Everyone is okay.” she replied, but there was doubt in her voice was she answered Tara’s question. She felt bad for lying to Tara, but could she tell the truth?
Buffy walked in after a good night of working at the Double Meat Palace. Placing her brown purse on the table she walked into the living room to find Dawn talking on the phone. She mouthed to Dawn when she looked over at her “who is it?”
Dawn mouthed back to Buffy “Tara”. A concerned look crossed Buffy’s face when she read her younger sister’s lips. Walking into the kitchen she grabbed some things and put them on a tray and walked upstairs to her best friend’s room.
“I have to go.” Dawn said quickly as she looked up the stairs.
“Okay… well bye then.” Tara said a bit confused. Normally Dawn liked to stay on the phone and talk to her, but not tonight. She knew then that something was up.
“Bye.” Dawn hung up the phone. She couldn’t believe what she did. Everything was going wrong and she could not tell Tara.

Willow was upstairs in her room. Her skin was as pale as a ghost as she just sat there. Doing nothing. Not like she could anyway after the news she just heard. As a cough escaped her throat she covered her mouth, not wanting anyone to catch what she had, but then again this wasn’t contagious.
Buffy made her way inside her best friend’s room carrying a tray filled with food, medicine and a drink. The slayer put the tray on the redhead’s bed, and walked carefully over to Willow who was facing the window.
“Who was on the phone?” asked a curious redhead, she had heard the phone ring and often she would want to know who it was.
“Dawn was on the phone with Tara.” Buffy said hesitantly. She wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to say to the sick redhead, who was stressed as it is, and didn’t want to burden her any more.
“Tara? As in Tara Maclay…or someone else?” Willow said quickly, turning her head so she was partially looking at Buffy, her green orbs slightly misted, praying to the Goddess that Dawn didn’t tell Tara. The least thing she wanted was Tara worrying about her.
The only people that knew about Willow being sick was, Xander, Anya, Dawn and Buffy. Knowing Dawn though, if she told she would have come inside the room and apologized for telling. That hadn’t happened yet, so most likely she did not tell. The radio was on, but it could not be heard clearly since the volume was really low. Music was something that now entertained the redhead. Turning up the volume she listened to the song.
When I think back on these times
And the dreams we left behind
I’ll be glad 'cos I was blessed to get
To have you in my life
When I look back on these days
I’ll look and see your face
You were right there for me
In my dreams I’ll always see your soul above the sky
In my heart, there always be a place for you for all my life
I’ll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you’ll be
Well you showed me how it feels
To feel the sky within my reach
And I always will remember all
The strength you gave to me
Your love made me make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me
I n my dreams I’ll always see your soul above the sky
In my heart, there always be a place for you for all my life
I’ll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you’ll be
' Cos I always saw in you
My light, my strength
And I want to thank you now for all the ways
You were right there for me, you were right there for me
For always
In my dreams I’ll always see your soul above the sky
In my heart, there always be a place for you for all my life
I’ll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you’ll be

After the song ended, a warm tear trickled down Willows face. This song was very touching to her and it played with her emotions.
“Can we play this song if I… you know…”
“You won’t!” Buffy cut her off sharply.
“I h-have to tell Tara…” Willow said softly as she turned herself to face Buffy completely.
“Alright, but Willow please listen to me. I don’t want you telling her while you are in bed and all sicky. I mean yeah you’re sick but… I mean like if you go out and talk with her you could tell her. That’d be best.”
Willow nodded slowly, now all the redhead had to do was figure out a way to tell Tara without having a nervous breakdown. Sighing softly she grabbed a note pad and started scribbling down some notes.
