It took Tara a while to coax her mom into letting her go out for a bit with Willow. Belinda’s arguing point wasn’t about Willow, it was more about it being a school night. But Tara couldn’t understand why she’d care in the first place, seeing as she wouldn’t be home anyway.
So, Tara sat on the living room couch waiting for that doorbell to ring. Sure it was only ten minutes until seven, but Tara wanted to be ready so they could leave as soon as she got there.
Pouncing from here seat when she heard the doorbell, Tara swung open the door. “Willow.” She grinned from ear to ear.
“Tara.” Willow grinned back. “These are for you.” She pulled out some flowers from behind her back. “Don’t worry, I actually paid for them and did not raid any gardens.”
Tara giggled softly and grabbed her coat. “Be back around ten!” She yelled to Belinda before shutting the door.
“Aren’t you going to put those in a vase with water?” Willow asked softly, pointing to the flowers.
“Yes.” Tara smiled and took Willow’s hand, leading them to the cellar door. “I kept this unlocked just in case…”
“Just in case what?” Willow asked suspiciously.
“Just in case I’m later then ten and she so happens to be home cause of some weird reason.” Tara shrugged her shoulders and opened the heavy doors, climbing inside. She quickly grabbed a pale and a hose and filled it, placing the flowers neatly inside. “There, that should do until I get back.”
Willow smiled and leaned in, kissing Tara softly on the cheek. “Well, lets get this date started.” She swung their hands as they started walking towards the streets.
“Does this date happen to include Fred and Spike?”
“Um, no.” Willow squeezed Tara’s hand lightly. “Just you and me, baby.”
“Great. Because you were so excited at the school today and I knew you had something to tell me, and it was good. I didn’t want to have to throw myself at you in front of people after you told me.” Tara smirked. “Unless of course, you know, we’ll be in front of people when you tell me.” She blushed quietly.
“I’m taking you out to a lovely dinner, I thought we could see a movie, but then that wouldn’t give us time to talk more. So I was hoping you’d come with me back at the Warehouse.” Willow looked over a Tara.
“I’d love too.” Tara smiled and pulled Willow closer as they continued walking.

“Ice cream?” Xander asked as he and Tray-Al walked through the streets, passing many food courts on the side walks. “We can cool ourselves off, have a nice cool chat, eat cool ice cream…”
Tray-Al smiled and tucked herself under his arm. She liked this guy, from the very beginning. He was always interested in her, in her life and tried his best to take her mind of things, he knew she didn’t want to think about anymore. Sure, he was younger, but no younger then Tara, in fact, he was slightly older. Xander was, after all, going to be seventeen in a few more months. “Sure, I’d love some.” She smiled up at him.
Xander grabbed his wallet and pulled out some money. “Ma says I have to get a job soon, where do you think I should work?” He asked as they stood in line.
Tray-Al thought about it. “Well, you do volunteer every once in a while at that Children’s Kid Zone. And you’re very good with children, maybe consider doing something with the kids.”
“I’d need to go to College and stuff to do that.” Xander sighed. “Oh, but they are looking for someone to dress up as a big dinosaur in that new diner they opened up at the mall.”
“There you go.” Tray giggled.
“But then you wouldn’t like me anymore because I’d be teased for being a mascot.” Xander grumbled.
“Xander!” The blonde swatted her boyfriend. “I’m going to like you anyway. Dude, I get to come in and kiss you in that costume on your breaks.” She smirked. “And I wouldn’t care you was looking or talking about us, because it’s just you and me….not them.”
Xander blushed a bit. “Two small vanilla cones please.” He ordered and gave his money to the young guy.
“Or you could always apply here.” Tray pointed to the ‘Help Wanted’ sign.
The young guy smiled at Tray-Al and back at Xander. “She’s right, we need the help as soon as possible. No resume needed, just fast hands.”
“Great!” Xander smiled and grabbed the application form. “Would you still like me if I worked here? ‘Cause I know how excited you were when you wanted to see me in the dinosaur…” He was cut off by Tray’s lips on his own.
“Lets just have our ice cream and talk…ice cream man.” The blonde giggled.

Willow and Tara sat down in a booth at a nice Italian Restaurant. The place was beautiful and the music was soft and soothing. The place wasn’t busy, just a few tables filled by family and couples, here and there.
Tara looked at Willow with anticipation. Willow was overly excited earlier that afternoon, what exactly could be keeping her so happy?
Green eyes locked on blues and smiles were exchanged. Willow scooted closer to her Tara and held her hand. “You’ll never guess what happened.” She started out calmly. “Last night, after I left you, I went back to the Warehouse and found my address book. I’ve been struggling with the decision for a while now, but I couldn’t wait any longer. Tara…” Willow’s voice dropped an octave, but in a good way as a smile curled up at her lips. “I called my grandparents.”
Tara sat back, her mouth slightly open, her eyes twinkling. “You did?” She asked.
Willow smiled. “I did! I’m so glad I did. They want me to come and visit them this weekend.”
“Oh my God, Willow!” Tara leaned over and hugged the red head. “That is so great!”
Willow and Tara were bouncing in each others arms. “I know! And Tara, I was wondering if you’d come with me? I mean, it’s out of the city….they sort of live on a farm…but I told them about you and they want to meet you.”
“Me? Why me? What they possibly want to meet me for?” Tara asked.
“Because I told them that you were the only friend who has stuck by my side since we’ve met…plus, they kind of know how much I like you.” Willow blushed a bit.
Tara smiled shyly. “I’d love to Will, but what about my mom? I don’t think she’d approve.”
“I know, I just thought I’d ask.” Willow said quietly.
Tara looked up at Willow, knowing how big of a deal this was for her. She decided it wouldn’t hurt to ask her mom. “I’ll ask, but how are you, we, planning on getting there?”
“Spike and Fred have a run down truck actually, but my grandparents said that they’d pay for a train ticket into the small town, then they’d pick us up.”
Tara nodded and looked at Willow intently. “Are you nervous?” She asked.
“About?”
“I mean, about seeing your grandparents for the first time in like, forever.” Tara replied softly.
“A little, but that’s to be expected, right?” Willow shrugged. “So, are you in?”
“I am so in.” Tara leaned in again and brushed her lips against Willow’s cheek.
“I’m not done though.” Willow surprisingly said. “Remember how you asked me if I could go back to school?”
“Yea?” Tara’s eyes went hopeful.
“Well…they’re going to talk to the school, your school, and see what they can do!” Willow squealed and sighed happily when she was practically tackled by Tara, kissing her smack dab on the lips.

Buffy was in her father’s Den, searching for her paper that she had asked him to go over. Sighing in frustration when she couldn’t find it anywhere, she came across a beige folder and it triggered her curiousity. “Anna Maclay.” She whispered and frowned. “As in Tray-Al Maclay…”
Sitting back in her dad’s seat, she opened up the file, knowing that it was wrong, but couldn’t help it. Her eyes grew wide when she started to read some more. Quickly, she closed the folder and searched for her mother. “Mom!”
