Part 3
Willow was thrown a few feet from Tara's grave by the force of the bolt that disconnected her link to Tara. Willow didn't let the sudden action keep her from her main focus--something happened to Tara.
"Oof!" Willow groaned as her butt hit the hard ground. She stood quickly and dusted herself off. She stared up at the clouds looking to see Tara looking down on her. No such luck and Willow slumped her shoulders foward.
"Tara?! Tara, what happened?" Willow questioned hoping maybe Tara would respond.
Meanwhile from above Tara screamed in agony from the bolt that shocked her and disconnected her from Willow. She grabbed her head tightly after the man took his hand away from breaking the link.
"Willow? Honey?" Tara thought softly hoping the shadow wouldn't harm her or her lover any further. She looked down and saw that Willow was moved from her original spot by her grave. Realizing she must've been thrown by the bolt of energy Tara became enraged.
"She can't hear you, you've lost that priviledge." the voice snarled having heard Tara's thoughts she hoped to convey to Willow.
        "You hurt her!" Tara scowled.
"Just a little." he shrugged innocently not seeing the big deal.
        "Connect me!" Tara commanded.
"You are in no position to be throwing out orders." the voice chuckled.
"I said connect me!!" she bellowed a bit louder.
"I can not do that." the voice said coldly.
"And why not?!" Tara furrowed her brow.
"You practically had her here with you, Ms. Maclay, it's against policy for such things to be allowed." the voice answered and somehow Tara could hear compassion in his voice now.
        "I didn't mean--"Tara began to apologize.
"I know." the voice said holding up a hand to silence her apology.
Willow fell apart at the thoughts that she imagined were happening to Tara at that very instant. Willow began to sob and sunk to her knees on the ground. Pounding the ground with her fist.
Suddenly, Willow felt a hand on her shoulder. A glimmer of hope passed through Willow but it was too quick for even her to register it rationally.
        "Will?" Buffy's voice whispered softly.
"Buffy, it's not fair." Willow whimpered.
"I know, it's hard." was all Buffy could say.
Buffy scooped Willow into her arms in a strong embrace and began to rock Willow gently to soothe her pain.
"Maybe you should stop coming here alone, Will. We'll make it like a Scooby thing to visit her, we lost her too." Buffy bargained.
"She's been watching me, Buffy." Willow spoke softly still crying.
"Yes, of course." Buffy agreed in theory thinking Tara must be somewhere watching Willow because it only seemed logical the two could not be kept apart for long.
"No, no. She really has been watching me!" Willow backed out of the embrace a little to stare Buffy in the eyes.
        "Willo--" Buffy began.
"No. She spoke to me, Buffy. We had a conversation--"Willow started to explain the events that had taken place but Buffy stopped her.
"Willow, you have to stop this. It isn't healthy, you can't move on if you keep trying to convince yourself she's waiting for you. I know what it's like, Willow. I went through it with my mom, thinking she'd come back. I even thought I'd spoken to her. But I didn't." Buffy sighed.
"But I did! I spoke to Tara. She said she's coming back...there was this man speaking to her and he...he did something to her Buffy...he hurt her and I felt it. I landed on my butt a few feet from her...grave. I was sitting there. Now I'm here." Willow tried to explain fragmentally.
"A man? Hurt her?" Buffy crinkled her nose in confusion.
"I dunno who he was but he was talking to Tara... then bam this bolt of like--like...energy was thrust out and now I can't hear her Buffy! She said she was coming back...but I could feel her doubt and how scared she was she might come back wrong...I told her not to if it wasn't safe I don't want her miserable." Willow sobbed.
"Willow, you're telling me Tara really spoke to you? As in had an entire conversation, and you felt her?" Buffy questioned intrigued.
"Yes! The man was speaking about some 'link' or other right before we got cut off...he was yelling at her...I don't want her to be hurting Buffy. If she's happy I will move on." Willow answered.
Tara watched the scene unfold as Buffy had approached and how Willow sobbed in her embrace. Tara felt awkward feeling like an intruder on such a personal conversation about herself.
"When is the meeting?" Tara turned her head slightly to stare at the darkened figure.
        "Soon." the voice answered vaguely.
"Cryptic much?" Tara raised an eye brow
"You should prepare." the voice advised.
        "Prepare? Like strategize?" Tara asked.
"They don't just let anyone go back...but this is an extreme circumstance and I'm sure they need you now...since everything is getting very close to the time." the man pointed out.
"They need me? What is getting very close to the time?" Tara began to play twenty questions with the dark figure almost beginning to forget about the state Willow was in down below.
"She needs you to help her through this." the voice instructed.
"What does Willow need me to help her through, getting over her loss? Is something dangerous coming for Willow?" Tara panicked.
"The Slayer needs your help...that is all I can say for now. Bargain with the Powers they are soft on exchanges of mutual help." the voice advised further.
"Buffy needs me? That's quite imposs--oh no if Buffy goes too Willow won't be able to live! First me then Buffy!! No, they can't let that happen!" Tara jumped quickly to the next page she hadn't turned in the chapter the voice had been unfolding for her so cryptically.
"Bargain with them." the voice repeated.
"Okay, okay let me think...Willow needs me. Please can't you connect me with her again? She's really frightened and I don't want her doing something--" Tara shook her head at the absurd thought of Willow turning to dark magick again.
"Use your ability to find solutions, Tara. You have been cut off from Willow." the voice said and with that he was gone in that instant.
"My ability to problem solve? Buffy and Willow are in trouble and I need to save them? Bargain with the Powers? This is all just a little overwhelming!" Tara grunted scrunching her face in a huff.
So as Tara said in this part "Cryptic much?" hope you all enjoyed check back soon tell me what you want to see come next or if you want anything else to come.
