This will be the first thing I have written that I have ever let anybody read.



I have had this story floating around in my head for a while but it was very difficult to sit down and really write it

WARNING 1: this takes place durring "SEEiNG RED" and "VILLIANS"



WARNING 2:about the way i bring tara back. she does not get her origonal body back, but she will still be Tara and she will still look like Tara. I' saying this now becausesome Kittens might object to Tara in a differnt body and i don't want to offend anyone

Summary: Tara was shot, But that’s nowhere near enough to keep her from her willow. Besides this is Sunnydale no one stays dead here

Tara was happy. For the first time in months she knew everything was going to be ok.

She had her willow back.

Spike and Buffy had ended their um…“thing”.

She had her Willow back

They had a taken down two out of three stooges.

She had her Willow back.

Dawn was out of her klepto faze.

And Best of all, She had her Willow Back!



Tara took a moment to admire Willows shirt. If I look hard enough maybe I can see…

?!? WHATS THAT RED STUFF?!?

“Your shirt…….”



Tara felt a warmth and a feeling of love surround her, lifting her up into the air. Happy thoughts swirled through her mind too fast to track. But one thought bought her back to reality.



I’m going to see Mama again, I can’t wait for her to meet Willow………….WILLOW!!!!!!



Tara quickly spun around, hearing Willows sobs for the first time.



“Tara? Come, on baby. Get up. Please. Tara..” Willow cried



“OH GODDESS NO!!!” Tara said as she desperately tried to stop her upward journey

She focused on her love for Willow. She focused on her family, Buffy, Dawn, Mr. Giles, Xander, and Anya. They all needed her and she needed them. She couldn’t leave them now, She wasn’t going without a fight!



Just when Tara thought that no amount of willpower would halt her assent, she suddenly stopped.

She felt the warmth and love dissipate and she was left floating near the ceiling. She tried to move back towards Willow and her body, but she had no strength left. She looked at Willow and saw her eyes had turned black and energy crackled around her. “No sweetie, please don’t“ Tara says as dark clouds form in the bedroom



“ By Osiris, I command you! Bring her back!” Willow said full of rage and sorrow.



“No baby no, not this way, please.” Tara said and then covered her eyes unable to watch anymore.



Tara tries to block out the activity in the room, but she can tell that willow and a demon are arguing and things aren’t going well. She hears a almost inhuman scream from Willow fallowed by a completely inhuman scream from the demon. Then silence.



Tara opened her eyes just in time to catch a glimpse of Willow leaving.

“WILLOW WAIT, I’M HERE” Tara yelled. But Willow kept walking.

Tara’s left floating all alone for awhile. Slowly she feels the warm/love feeling return stronger than before but without the pulling. She can sense a presence behind her. She knows who it is, and fight the urge to turn.



“Tara” says a voice very similar to Taras



“M-m-mama” Tara whispers. She can’t turn around. Seeing her mother would be too much. She couldn’t find the strength not to go with her.



Taras mothers voice was sad as she spoke.

“You know its not possible to return to your body. The damage is too great”



“Yes mama I know, but I can’t leave. Please, there has to be some way, any way“ Tara said, sobbing now.



Tara as felt her mother embrace her from behind her willpower weakened. She missed her so much.



“Shhhh. I’m not here to force you to leave. You have a choice.”



“A choice?” Tara repeated in shock



“Yes you can stay if you want. I just wanted to make sure you knew it would be rough if you did. You cant just hop back in your body and POOF everything’s ok.”



Tara was confused “But I thought……”



Her Mother stopped her. “This IS Sunnydale Sweetie, there is always a way back here. I wish I had been….Never mind that’s not important now”



“Will Willow know its me?” Tara asked



“Of course. She always will know you, and you her . Just as you always have found, and will find each other. You two are soul mates” Taras mother said with sincerity.



Tara faced her mother and returned her embrace “ Mama, will I ever see you again?”



“Tara , we will all be together some day. I still have to meet my extended family don’t I” she said, stepping back so Tara could see her smile.



“That reminds me , your friend Buffy, She had a choice. She doesn’t remember, but she chose to come back. Let her know that. It should help her some.”



“I will Mama.”



“I have to go now Sweetie, when the time comes focus all your energy and your thoughts on being alive. Try not to think about you own body or you could end up back here and miss your chance.” Taras mother said as she slowly faded away.



“I love you Mama”



“I love you too Tara, always.” With those words she was gone. Tara was alone again.



I wonder how I’ll Know when its time



Just then the door is pushed open. Tara turns to see who’s there



Oh no, Dawnie!



“…Tara?”



Suddenly there’s a flash and Tara feels magic all around her as every thing goes white.



Ok this is it. I want to be alive. I want to be alive. Iwanttobealive Iwanttobealive I hope I get hair like mine. Willow loves my hair and my…Oops!

Nice fic... you should force your thoughts into written words more often.



In my head it's going to work out as: Tara gets a similar body, takes on her own appearance (through magic), stops Willow before she goes too far and they live happily ever after. But of course nothing ever runs that smooth in Sunnydale does it? I'm very interested to see how you're going to work it.

To say Tara was worried would be an understatement. Although the energy around her created a total whiteout, she could tell she was moving . At first it had been a gentle feeling like a kite in the wind. Once she had let her mind wander to Willow things had changed, because she could only picture Willow with her. Not someone with hair like hers. Not someone who looked a little like her. Her the one and only Tara Maclay, and that sort of threw the whole ’don’t think of your old body’ thing right out the window. Now she felt like a rocket locked on course with no way to abort. At least she wasn’t stuck in her and Willows room again, which had been her first concern.



Well, I cant be headed back to Buffys house , I would be there by now.

So I must still be on my way to a new body.

I hope its not to far away, I have to get back to Willow

I can feel the dark magic she’s summoning, I have to stop her before…..



Taras thoughts were cut short as she suddenly felt herself stop. A tingling sensation went through her, and the white light faded into darkness.

Tara immediately became aware of three things



I’m laying on the floor. OH! I’m on the floor in a body! I’m on the floor in NAKED body!



As Tara stood up she took in her surroundings. It wasn’t very well lit in the room she was in, but she could tell it had been trashed. All around her was various broken electronic equipment. It looked like someone went on a rampage with a chainsaw.



“Wow, looks like someone had a party” Tara said.

Hey! That sounds like my voice?



“Testing Testing” Tara said.

Yep that’s me.



Tara carefully moved through the debris filled room towards a darkened doorway, hoping to find a light switch.



This body doesn’t feel as weird as I thought it would. It’s kind of like a new pair of jeans.



She found the switch and turned the light on. The room looked even worse in the light. Not only had everything in the room been destroyed, even the walls had large gashes in them. Tara glanced down getting her first look at her new body.



Hmmm.. looks about the same.



Tara would have taken more time to inspect herself, but she knew she needed to find Willow soon.

She could still feel the dark magic growing. Every magic user on the west coast could feel it. Tara headed for the door, then remembering she was naked, began searching for something to wear. She found a box containing various Star Wars collectibles, including a pair of R2D2 boxer shorts. Now all she needed was some kind of shirt.

Tara saw what appeared to be a sleeve sticking out from under an overturned file cabinet. She gave the cabinet a shove and was shocked by two things. Firstly: A shove that should have moved the cabinet about two feet, sent it flying across the room. Secondly: Next to the lab coat that the sleeve belong to was a bloody severed hand.



“AAAHHHHH” Tara screamed as she backed away.



Unfortunately walking backwards in a room full of junk is not a good idea. Tara stumbled over something, but with a large amount of effort she didn’t fall backwards.

She overcompensated and fell forwards. She landed with her face about seven inches from the hand. She only fought the urge to scream again because she noticed something strange.



Metal!?



While looking completely human on the outside, blood and all, underneath the skin was metal and wires.



“Can this day get any freakier?” Tara exclaimed as she got up, grabbing the lab coat on the way.



Who in their right mind would have severed robot hands laying……



“Warren!”

I can safely say, there are going to be issues. Wonder what Willow will say when she finds out her love's a hunk of metal... or even that she's alive.

First I want to say thanks for the encoragement everyone

Now on to the reason I have no update.



I had the next few scenes written and ready to post but my dog ate them. No wait, aliens stole them. Whould you believe suddenly appeared and took them.



Ok i screwed up



I didn't really pay close atention to "Villians" when it aired because it was very depressing to me.

For some strange reason I thought Willow went to Racks Before she went after Warren.

Now I have to do a mojor rewrite, but it should work out better this way.



I realized my mistake at 6:35 am. I'm way too tired to think right now. I will work on it later today,and hopefully I will have something good by this time tomarrow if not sooner.

Tara had gotten out of Warrens place as fast as possible. She had left by way of the window in the room she was in, fearing that in going through the house, she might set off a trap similar to the one Buffy had faced. Tara was now running full speed through Sunnydale talking to her self, wearing only a lab coat and boxer shorts.

A pretty normal sight for Sunnydale.



“I am NOT a bot” she said to herself. “There are plenty of explanations as to who else would be in Warrens basement”



Yeah, like some girl who just happens to look exactly like me She thought as she saw her reflection in a store window.



Tara was headed in the direction she felt Willow was in. Not even noticing that she was moving faster than most of the traffic in the street. She did notice however, that she was able to leap over the intersection, instead of waiting for the cars to stop.



“And even if I am A bot, I can…No WE can deal with this. The important thing now is finding Willow, Before she sinks too deep into dark magic.” Goddess, I hope I’m not too late.

A freaked out Warren stumbles though the woods with Willow hot on his trail. He ducks behind a tree and removes an axe from his backpack. He waits for willow to pass then steps out behind her. Warren cocks back and swings full strength. With the blade just inches from Willows back, a hand grabs the end of stopping it cold. As the axe is yanked from his hands the handle hits warren in the face, breaking his nose and knocking him to the ground.



Willow whirls around to face the noise behind her. She see warren on the ground and makes a grab for him without even looking to see who saved her from a nasty axe wound. As she lifts Warren off the ground and into the air she hears a voice she knows cannot be real.



“Willow, let him go” Tara said as she laid down the Axe.



“Well there goes the last of my sanity, now I’m hearing voices” Willow tells Warren calmly.



“No Sweetie, I’m here” Tara says. She reaches out an places her hand on Willows shoulder.



As soon as Taras hand connected ,Willow felt her heart come alive again. She allowed herself to accept the feeling that she had been blocking out ever since Tara first entered the woods. Tara was back, she was here, and she was alive. Tears welled in Willows eyes. She released her hold on warren and turned, wrapping Tara in her arms.



Willows voice cracked as she spoke “It was so horrible….. You were gone….. He shot …… He..k..kil….” Willow began to sob onto Taras chest.



“Its ok, I’m here now, I’m not going anywhere.” Tara said soothingly, tears surprised her by running down her own cheeks.



Tara lifted Willows face from her chest and gazed lovingly into her eyes ,which had returned to normal.



“I love you Willow, and no matter what happens. I will always come back to you.” Tara said and then kissed Willow with all her heart and soul. Willow returned the kiss with just as much love. Her rage gone now, the dark energy left her. Her hair and skin returned to normal. Neither Willow or Tara noticed that they were now floating several feet above the ground.



Warren watched all this from behind a nearby bush.



This is impossible. She’s dead Warren thought.

Wait, I can use this. I’ll take them both out while their guard is down He crept toward the forgotten axe



Willow and Tara gently landed as they ended the kiss. Willow slumped in Taras arms, exhausted from her over use of magic. As Tara tried to awaken her, she heard a ‘swoosh’ as Warren swung his axe.



Faster then Warrens eyes could fallow, Tara moved herself and Willow out of the blades path. Tara felt a sharp pain as the blade still managed to open a gash on her upper right arm. After quickly making sure Willow was out of harms way Tara turned to face Warren. She expected to find him preparing for another swing, instead he was starring at her arm, with a sadistic grin on his face.



“Well well well, you almost had me fooled for a minute.” Warren said still looking at Taras arm.



Tara followed his gaze. The gash on her arm was deep, inside she could see metal and circuitry.



Guess that settles it, I’m a Bot After all that had happened it wasn’t much of a surprise to Tara.



“That was an excellent performance you put on sweetcheeks. She really thought you were her girl. You didn’t have to break my nose though” Warren continued as he wiped the blood from his face.

“ Not that I‘m surprised. I created you so of course you’re perfect. I just can’t figure out how you got activated.”



Warren looked to Tara for answers. Tara just stared at Warren, her anger rising as she thought about what Willow had said.



He’s the one. He shot me. He put my Willow through so much pain.



“Ok…. we can deal with how you’re up and about later. Right now we need a plan. I’m sure the Slayer isn’t too far behind my goth nightmare over there.” Warren stated pointing at Willow, as he began to pace back and forth.



Warren continued to make his plan, talking out loud. Tara wasn’t listening, She just kept starring and thinking. The longer she thought the angrier she got.



After everything I’ve faced since coming to Sunnydale, this little pathetic excuse for a man almost ended it all



Tara focused on Warren again, hatred boiling inside.



“…..I can see her face now, poor slayer, both her lesbo witch friends are dead. Bo hoo hoo.” Warren wiped his eyes mimicking tears.



“WHAT?” Tara said only hearing the last part.



“Ok Robobimbo, let me make this simple for you. Kill the wicked bitch of the east.” Warren said with a laugh



“NO!” Tara said furious, Walking toward warren.



Warren let out a deep sigh “Alright I’ll do it, you’re obviously malfunctioning ”



“No you won’t” Tara responded venomously , blocking warrens path.



“What, you don’t think I can. I’ve killed before, twice actually. What’s one more.”



Warren tried to step around Tara . Suddenly Tara grabbed Warren roughly by his shoulders.



“What the hell is wrong with…..”



“ YOU ASSHOLE, YOU’RE PROUD OF IT? YOU THINK TAKING A LIFE IS SOMETHING TO BOAST ABOUT?”



Warren looked into Taras eyes for the first time, and what he saw scared the hell out of him. The secret to his bots was that they had a soul. He had always used the souls of things like mice or ginny pigs, but that’s not what he saw when he looked into Taras eyes. He saw a soul that could only be human, and he knew he was in trouble.



“Wait, I’m sorry. It was an accident.” Warren said, trying to save himself.



“SAVE IT WARREN. YOU’RE DISGUSTING. OF ALL THE EVIL THINGS IN THIS TOWN YOU”RE THE WORST, BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO BECOME EVIL. YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING WILLOW WAS GOING TO DO TO YOU TEN TIMES OVER.”



“You're really asking for it, you know that?” Warren stated



“I’m asking for it?” Tara repeated



“I'm gonna walk away from this, and when I do, you're gonna wish you stayed dead.”



Tara tightened her grip on Warren until he cried out in pain.



“OH GOD…PLEASE STOP! I’M SORRY……PLEASE….DON”T KILL ME.”



Tara realized she was loosing control of her anger, and forced herself to calm down. She could never forgive herself for taking a human life, even if it was slime like Warren.



“Please Terri,………Please don’t kill me. Please please Terri, I’m so sorry.” Warren cried



I won’t kill you, but you are not going to get away with this. I OWE YOU PAIN!!



“The names TARA………BITCH!” Tara said as she brought her knee up hitting Warren right in the groin.



Unfortunately for Warren, Tara forgot about her new robostrength. When Tars knee connected a loud sickening crunch could be heard, companied by a high-pitched scream from Warren, as he was launched fifteen feet through the air. He came crashing down in front of a very shocked Buffy and Xander, who had witnessed the last few seconds of the confrontation. No one would ever have to worry about any baby Warrens running around.



“Sorry Warren. Guess I don’t know my own strength “ Tara said , not sounding sorry at all.

Well, well, well... poor Warren. Lovely update, but I can only imagine Buffy, Xander and Anya's response to seeing Tara... back from the dead... in the forest... as a bot... dressed in only boxers and a lab coat. Going to be interesting, that's for sure.
