Tara lay there, snuggling up to the sleepy redhead, but not too obviously; after all, Buffy was mere metres away.



“Mmm,” Willow mumbled appreciatively.



“Guys?” Buffy asked from her own bed on the other side of the room, “Remember that we have to get up for Giles’ Scooby meeting tomorrow morning. And that includes you, Tara. You’re meeting the gang properly,” she underlined before trailing off, her voice replaced with quiet, almost silent snores.



Tara shuffled closer still, now that it was safe. She was entirely glad to find that Willow moved a little closer, too, putting her good arm around Tara’s middle and nuzzling her head into her neck.



Tara leaned her head down and kissed the cute little hacker on the forehead, just above the swollen area of her cut. “Goodnight,”





“Nngnite,” Willow replied, already half in dreamland.



As Willow slept, Tara continued to lay awake in contentment, thinking about the beautiful redhead in her arms. She smiled, lightly, picturing Buffy half-carrying Willow half way to the dorms, before giving up and picking her friend up, carrying her as Willow slept.



She thought she could stay forever like that; snuggled up to Willow. She kissed me. She likes me. This is like a dream come true,



She closed her eyes, listening to the hacker’s breathing. It was soothing. Though suddenly the hacker’s small jerked slightly, and she mumbled something in a mildly distressed voice, “No! It was the frogs! Take them! They stole the pie…” she trailed off, her sleeping face forming a little pout.



Tara shifted slightly so she could stroke Willow’s fiery hair, soothing the hacker to more pleasant dreams, as she smiled at the absurd situations Willow’s dreams could create.



After a minute or two, she herself fell deeply into unconsciousness.
