ooooh, jen/Mabb sent me an E yesterday in response to the ltr i sent her re: Amber's fundraiser. i suggested this:
"I was just wondering... if it's not too much to ask, it would be cool how Amber is doing with the developments of the movie through a weekly (or monthly) journal. I know she's gonna be busy with all aspects of the movie, but then atleast she'll be able to tell the fans her thoughts and feelings re: the process. Just a suggestion though, but thanks anyway for considering it."

as a newly-annointed moderator, i have a favor to ask of you: we've been having some board glitches and errors that occur when threads reach a certain length, usually between 3 and 6 pages. for some unknown reason, these errors occur most often when people double-post, which is part of the reasoning behind our "no double posting" policy. in order to keep the length of this thread down and avoid glitches, in the future could you respond to multiple people in one post or edit your posts rather than double posting?

by the way, here's how you can avoid double posting: see the icon at the top of your posts with the little pencil? that's the "edit" button. if you click on that, you can change things in your post or add things to it! that's just what i did with your last two posts... i cut and pasted your response to me into the first post!
sorry if i seem paranoid about this, but page 6 of a thread is where things really start wigging. i spent half an hour yesterday trying to rescue someone's post from oblivion. and we hardly want our amber updates to end up in oblivion now, do we? hee hee...

I just wanted to drop in and give everyone a big ol' THANK YOU!!!
Because of all your support, we've already collected far more than we ever thought we would at the beginning of this project, and it's only been just over a week.
We're stunned, amazed, grateful and deeply touched by the amazing generosity that Amber's fans have shown for her in the past week. The response has been truly overwhelming.
We're less than two weeks away from the first day of filming!! I'm nervous and excited and beyond thrilled that Amber is going to be able to fulfill her dream of making her own movie. Not bad for a twenty-four year old, huh?
Let this be a lesson to everyone that thinks that their dreams can't come true. Because THEY CAN!!!
This just proves what I've known all along. Amber truly has the BEST fans in the world.

I know I should post more -- it's just quicker and easier for me to lurk these days. I am very busy with my work, both in the office and out. But I will try to drop a line more often.
As for Ms. Spoiler Demon -- now she's a tough one. She has taken the winter off for what she likes to call "psychic hibernation." Perhaps I can rouse her though -- a few jabs with the magic wand ought to do the trick.

As far as the CB site, CB people are aware that not everyone has Flash 5, and they don't seem to want to care about it. Me and Amber say, grrr!

LW that really bites! I've looked into a few of these celeb site places before (there are three companies that I know of who specialize in hosting celebrity websites). They all seem to be high on flash, low on content AND to top it off...they have lots of rules about content and the like.
Most of the actors I know have hooked up with fans to run their 'official' sites and that seems to work out the best. You get someone who REALLY knows and appreciates their subject and does it for the pure fun & joy. Not some paid techie (no offense to computer geeks ) who wants to show off their skill and most times could care less about their audience -- the fans.
