General Season 6 Spoilers - Part 8

Postby Ari » Sun Mar 10, 2002 3:16 pm

Here's a thought. You have to figure Giles is going to be back at some point, right? It would probably be finding out about what happened to Tara that would make hurry back. Probably 21.

So what's Mr. Watcher-man going to think of his brilliant idea to go off and leave everyone to their own devices? I wonder if that pseudo spoiler Wanda gave out a long time ago is true, that when he comes back he would stake Spike? It's possible. I bet they are all dropping like flies by the time 22 rolls around.

In his dream in Restless, Willow said to him "You know this is all your fault." Is Giles partially blame for everything going so bad because he abandoned them?

Oh, and I've seen this mentioned elsewhere, but in terms of death foreshadowing in Restless, how about Death of a Salesman as a huge clue that in the end it would be Anya?

So Amber said: "it's not Xander." At this point it's conceivable that Xander's just about the only one who won't die before this whole thing is over with.

Cheery thought, no?

About Amber laughing and saying that it's not Xander when asked about the BSD, well what if he's the only one alive at the end, him and Anya, everyone else is dead, like Buffy and Willow dying in some giant showdown between the both of them and Anya finds that she still loves him and her final gift to him is the return of all his loved ones?...I like it, not that I want anyone do die, but if it's between Tara and Anya...HELLO!

Very cheery, Ari! Not. I really think that this is going to be some sort of all-out, worst-case-scenario blood bath for all the Scoobs. It is interesting that Amber said that it's not Xander. Odd choice. Unless, of course, he literally was the only one left until Anya sacrifices herself or whatever. (Once again, this is pretty clearly the scenario Wanda--oy--has been alluding to. So while she's not exactly someone anyone here trusts, she IS another spoiler source providing a possible resolution to Michelle's trusted spoiler.)

Interesting thoughts about Giles. Sad to think that everyone would fail so miserably in his absence, though. He shouldn't have to shoulder all that blame.

I have yet another scenario. D'H made a deal with Anya that there are no takebacks this time; if her pendant gets broken, she dies. She grants Warren a wish that Xander die a terrible death, but it affects everyone. Warren kills Tara, Buffy and Willow face off and kill each other, Spike goes evil and attacks Xander, Xander stakes him, and Xander's lying there bleeding. Anya loves him enough to smash her pendant, undoing the wish but killing her. See, in that scenario Xander is dying, but he never actually dies.

Anyhow, i didn't mean to imply that you or anyone using that word had some hatred of differently abled people, i used to use the word myself and never thought of it in that context. I just didn;t want anyone to get hurt by the word without anyone meaning to be hurtful.

Back to spoilers.
I like all these theories, if only because it is something hopeful to grasp too. What keeps popping up in my mind is Halfrek. Dawn losing her mother figure? that sounds like Halfrek's area of expertise when it comes to wish granting. hmmm.

General Season 6 Spoilers - Part 8

Postby Kittie17 » Sun Mar 10, 2002 5:27 pm

I'm still confused and i need to say how i feel right now.
I never believe in true love, in happyness, 'til i found Willow and Tara. They show me what love could achieve, how 2 persons can be in love with each other and be happy. They gave me hope. My mum is always saying to me how wrong is to be gay, how unhappy i'm going to be, and that's when my world falls apart. All i have to do is look for Willow and Tara and i know i can be happy. They make me strong. They give me reasons to look for that person, they make me believe i will find someone.
Here i also found a family. I'm always reading everyone's post and i've learnt to love you people, even though i don't know you.
But if this spoilers are true, what i'm going to do?. I know Tara is a character, she might not be real, but she's real for me in my heart. So if they kill her they will be killing a part of me. It might sound crazy, but is the truth. If she's gone then all my hopes, all those reasons, that strenght will be gone too. I know i'll feel empty. I don't wanna be like that, life has been pretty hard with me and they are also my light. They are true love, everytime i see them i have this feeling in my stomach, this big need of having someone special in my life, someone real. I see Tara and I even wanna be a better person.
So, Joss, if you ever read this, i wanna say thank you for giving us Willow and Tara but i could never forgive you if you take that away.
Still i trust him, i really do. They can't kill her...
I needed to say it.
And i'm happy with you people. We are a big world wide family with the same pure vision of love.

*sorry about my english!

Steve's already said one non-spoilery thing about spoilers:

quote:
I do hope you’ve been avoiding those nasty spoilers. That goes for the rest of you too. Right now we’re filming episode 20. 21 and 22 are both being written as we speak.

I also don't know the etiquette of posting at the Bronze. I'd probably lose my cool and start shouting, "WHAT KIND OF CRACK ARE YOU MORONS SMOKING OVER THERE?" or something. I don't think he'd respond.

Fortunately, I've seen at least one Kitten posting already. quote:

DeKnight at the BronzeBeta on those nasty Spoilers:

Steve DeKnight says:
(Mon Mar 11 00:24:13 2002) [Edit/Delete]

Malum-forma: DeKnight’s a jackass that’s deluded himself into thinking he’s a real clever pill. Don’t believe a word he says. I sure don’t.

Bhd: Yeah, I usually hang on Fridays, but I’ve been busy or ill lately, hence the special visit. As for my health, I worked so hard on episode 19 that it sent me into a bout of pneumonia. Luckily I caught it before little Stevie needed to spend a month in the oxygen tent. Yee-hah.

Y_Slaybelle: That Sarah’s pretty great, huh? And kudos to big Jim Cotner for directing the hell out of Dead Things. Jim da man, baby!

Kenickie: One man’s tacky is another man’s fancy. And I’m EXTRA fancy.

Paks: I do hope you’ve been avoiding those nasty spoilers. That goes for the rest of you too. Right now we’re filming episode 20. 21 and 22 are both being written as we speak.

BBOvenGuy--Honestly, I don't care about etiquette when it comes to begging and pleading about Tara's "death". I really honestly mean I will not want to go into work if that happens. I wouldn't be able to handle all the nasty comments. It was bad enough when they broke up.

Steve DeKnight says:
(Mon Mar 11 00:37:23 2002) [Edit/Delete]

Tralfamadore2001: Itty bitty Steve’s lungs are mighty too. Watch him blow!

Eric: I formerly hail from Millville, NJ. Teeny little town down south, about an hour inland from Atlantic City.

Smiley Faces: Thanks. Joss had always planned to set the troika up as comedy relief – then have them turn dark. Trust in Joss! I sure do.

Major Wiggins: I confirm or deny nothing. Just expect a few surprises – if you steer clear of those nasty spoilers.

Phil PhuD: As far as I’m concerned, Elektra died when Bullseye killed her – and she stayed dead. Yeah, Jane
Espenson and I each wrote three of the BTVS cartoon scripts. Currently the project is looking for a network to air it.
Hope that happens soon – it’d be a really cool, really funny (that’s right – FUNNY) show.

Moriah: The pleasure is all mine.

All this spoiler business makes no sense, its makes just about as little sense as jumping out of a plane without a parachute.

I think that now the best thing to do will be to wait and see how everything plays out. Because honestly I believe that the writers know what they're doing.

And right now Stevie boy DeKnight is telling us all to avoid dem nasty spoilers. With all this light hartedness coming from the cast and crew I can't really believe things will be as dark as they seem come season finale.

General Season 6 Spoilers - Part 8

Postby Wiccagrrl » Sun Mar 10, 2002 5:50 pm

Ok, couple more thoughts (cause this is really eating at me and I keep trying to rationalize that it won't be as bad as it sounds)

If they do any kind of reset/putting things right, the only way I can see it possibly tying in with the season's "Oh grow up" theme is if things are made somewhat better, but the memories of what happenned aren't taken from the Scoobies. Tara's alive at the end, maybe whatever events go terribly wrong are fixed to some extent, but not totally and the Scoobies still have to live with knowing how badly they screwed up.

Regarding the possibility of a 23rd ep this season, part of my likes this idea. Why? Because if it's the case, my guess is that we would get a Joss-penned finale, and my oh my does this season need it.

Of course Tara is a positive lesbian character and very important for Willow, Dawn and the other Scoobies, I agree with you there. Like Willow said Tara is essential. What I was trying to say is that for me killing her it's homophobic that's all.

Elusio--Thank you for acknowledging that my post had spoilers. B/c otherwise no one would have known it was a spoiler b/c I did not quote an episode, nor did I say anything different from what I have said EVERY single time I post. PLEASE DON'T KILL TARA. It's my mantra. Now he knows we know about the spoiler, and that gives me hope.

Yes, I truly believe killing off Tara is homophobic, cliche, and would totally undo all the good they have done with the W/T relationship and ME is above that, or at least I think they are.

Thanks Partyman! I wonder that with the major stuff in AngelX's spoilers that Joss is not writing one of the eps. Steven DeKnight seems to be denying the rumors at the BronzeBeta. He called them "nasty spoilers". I'm staying on the false rumor bandwagon. I wonder if it's coicidence that soon after the spoilerscame out, Steven is on the Bronzebeta reassuring the fans. i'm a newbie here, be kind. hopefully i'm doing this correctly. wanted to comment on couple of posts talking about joss mentioning Tara being killed offscreen and scoobies not finding the body yet. maybe a month or so ago, i was at the beta and i'm 99.9% sure that DeKnight was on and said the same exact thing. *sigh*
assuming this is true, i am getting very attached to the character of Tara so it figures this would happen! i can't even imagine what the writers are going to do to poor Willow if this is indeed true.

I'm a regular poster at the Bronze Beta. Steve usually posts on Fridays, but has been ill recently. He posted I think on Friday(before the spoiler *broke*) to say he had been ill and would post at some point over the weekend. So I don't think it was deliberate.

I am not suprised if he is reading some of this board now though, as someone posted a link!

Mmmmmm....

Didn't Deknight say a while back that 19 would be pretty light? I don't consider Tara getting shot light.

Geez, who told Little Willow she could come along and post a big ad for all her websites in the middle of the Bronze thread?

But at least I posted something! And I didn't even mention smoking crack once.

i'm a newbie here, be kind. hopefully i'm doing this correctly. wanted to comment on couple of posts talking about joss mentioning Tara being killed offscreen and scoobies not finding the body yet. maybe a month or so ago, i was at the beta and i'm 99.9% sure that DeKnight was on and said the same exact thing. *sigh*
assuming this is true, i am getting very attached to the character of Tara so it figures this would happen! i can't even imagine what the writers are going to do to poor Willow if this is indeed true.

General Season 6 Spoilers - Part 8

Postby Rally » Sun Mar 10, 2002 6:03 pm

Steve DeKnight says:
(Mon Mar 11 01:02:09 2002) [Edit/Delete]

Invincor: Hopefully you’ll see one of your problems addressed later this season and next season. And that’s all this kid’s
saying about that!

Jason: Thanks! Sarah and Amber did a great job with that one. And – one more time – Jim Cotner nailed the directing.

Dogmeat: Thanks! And I’m good with the garlic – just had some on my pizza last night. Mmmm. Pizza…

UpsetTummy: Didn’t I warn you those spoilers would ruin your dinner? As for the drugs, well, uh, I didn’t inhale. Much.

Elusio: Little is relative. I hope.

Evalie: Tsk tsk. On a family board no less. You little scamp!

Miller’s angel: Nekkid Spike? I’ll work my magic and see what I can do.

Rias the Host: Thanks! Now quick! Dodge that evil boss! Or better yet – turn him into a Buffy fan!

White Wings: I hear you. Had dinner with some friends last night – then slept for 13 hours. And there wasn’t even any
beer involved.

Partyman: What ode where? Repost! Noxon is writing 20, Petrie 21, and Fury 22. It’s the big guns, baby.

Eibhilin: What’s a set up?

OneStepBeyond: He who looks at spoilers gets the sour milk. You get nothing from me, baby!

DeAn : Yeah, I got it rough. Especially that crappy office filled with toys and movie posters. Jeez, I gotta get a better
job.

Jason: I haven’t seen it yet. Perhaps I’ll pass. And something’s always coming up with Dawn. Ad hey – Charisma.
Swoon. She’s even more beautiful in person.

Bhd: Thanks for the advice. Just don’t burn the place down, Milt.

GiftofAmber: Thanks!

Evalie: Learned your lesson, didn’t you?

Malum_Forma: Your love of Dead Things has redeemed you admirably. Stop kicking yourself and let me get in there.
Pow! (That was Love Bucks, by the way.)

General Season 6 Spoilers - Part 8

**edited cause Rally beat me to it

Heh. I was Onestepbeyond.

Anyhow...that was the next to last post from Steve. At least we know THEY know how we feel.

AND Steve seemed fairly playful given that lots of people were being very honest about how they felt about the current spoiler crop. He also cautioned against reading spoilers several times. I find that interesting.
