Well here we are another weekend closer to whatever date the next/first new episode is for you in your respective localities. Ain't time passing quickly?
No?
Obviously Captain Kerry is not keeping you busy enough just taunting you with the islands off our port side as we sail round and round waiting for her permission to land. Actually I think that she has developed phobia of grass skirts hence our still shipboard state.

Question of the weekend then: What were Veruca's (Grrr, spit) band called?

Katharyn... still waiting for shoreleave.

It was Shy or Shine, or something like that, wasn't it? It's a bit too early on a Sunday morning to go trawling through Buffy tapes. Also rather damned too cold for grass skirts. Stood outside for about ten minutes or so, just now (was about 7:45), watching another beautiful sunrise, with frost across the gardens, pink cirrus-typ clouds, etc, and suddenly realised that I was getting rather chilly (had just got up to let the dog out, and pulled on a pair of rather ripped jeans - would make old ladies faint, if browsing the bottom shelf in a supermarket with no underwear, like now, if ya know what I mean ). Feeling a bit sad, actually, wondering what my Dad's gonna do over Christmas - life is a bit of a mess for him right now, and hope he accepts my invitation to come over. Ho-hum, the tangled lives we lead.

Sorry - I'm burbling. You should see this dawn, though - its lovely. Its gone all silvery now. I think the sun'll break over the trees at any moment.

By popular request we are now anchored at a dock in the sunny Hawaiian islands. Shore leave is authorised for all ranks. Sorry it took so long, I've been a wee bit distracted of late. (There is a real downside to these grass skirts - bits of grass in really awkward places! lol)

It has occured to me to wonder what Katharyn has been doing down in the brig? She spends an inordinate amount of time down there, pottering about? Or is it something more mysterious? Has she got someone hidden down there perhaps? Methinks I ought to make a thorough inspection of this brig as I was in no condition to notice anything about it last time I was there.

It's good to have you back on board Wolfie, although I do ask that you wear jeans without holes, we wouldn't want any nasty clothing related accidents now, would we?
I hope things work out with your dad - give him a present from Hawaii for Christmas.

Who me? Just formulating questions and helping make the skirts up... nothing else. No need for an inspection. None at all. No sir nobody down here but us crazy people... BWWAAHA!

Shy was the right answer. Obviously far too simple though I must admit it was not something that I remembered. Okay same episode as that one... where is Oz's cage?

Bingo! Correct answer... again too easy.
Enjoy the play Hanki... I always firmly avoided anything involving musicals and dancing... I don't sing and I don't dance. Two golden rules for life.

Just go do it, I am sure that you should get permission but the Captain is an easy going sort who is spending what should be her shoreleave snifffing around my brig. Sorry the brig. What she hopes to find I can't imagine.

Hanki, you can go anywhere you need to with my blessing. I remember the days of doing the school musicals. We always had fun. I hope you have fun too!! Break a leg!! Let us know how it turns out.

I am not sniffing around the brig!! I am inspecting it - there may or may not be any actual sniffing involved. Besides, I may find something (or someone) interesting down there.

I keep telling you there is nothing there.. certainly nothing weird... this is just persecution...

*Got to distract her - waves a grass skirt on the Captains direction again hoping that she will take fright*

I get the feeling that Katharyn is trying to keep me out of the brig. Ok, I won't ask, and I won't look, but if I hear any weird noises or smell anything particularly pugnent, then I'll be down there like a shot.

Please - no more with the grass skirt!!

Oh, Good Lord! Now you've done it, Katheryn. I'm supposed to work, and all I'm going to be able to do, is think about Willow saying "I'm a rabid dog ..." Etc. I can see her saying it, but I can't think what the ep was, except that it was an earlier one ..? Oh, Hell, flip, damn and custard. Ho-hum.

*thinks hard, focusing all energies on remembering what the damn ep was*

Glad one is finally proving a bit of a challenge! Not a very early Willow, but earlier...

You will note that our valiant Captain is above such menial things as questions... though I didn't say that as she is keeping out of the brig.

Now you didn't really imagine that I'd let a taunt like that just slide by without comment, did you?

The episode was S3 - Homecoming.

As for the brig, I don't want to know - I'm probably too young for that sort of thing anyway.

Dead right with the question though.

I haven't got a clue about this question, but that's ok because I've demonstrated my intelligence by answering the last one - somebody else's turn.

*Wolfie wakes up to find his hair is glued to a piece of errant Twinkie, that had fallen onto the pillow and as a consequence, has walked around all day with the pillow attached to the side of his head*

Got some rather odd looks when I took the dog for a walk. Thank God I work from home!

Passion could be it. Couldn't see the TV because of the pillow, so couldn't check it up (honest). It kinda helped, though, as I worked on my PC today, and the work was very boring, so muchas thankyou's anyway!

Ooh! I think I've got this one. Ah, oh, wait, no ... Yes!

Dating a musician, new witch stuff (if only she knew what she was getting into, heh), and, and, uh, oh, damn! I can't remember. Wasn't there something about blowing the power for a whole block. No, that was at the cheery end of the ep, not the teary confrontation.

"I'm dating, I'm having serious dating with a *werewolf*, a-and I'm studying witchcraft and killing vampires, and I didn't have anyone (starts sobbing) to talk to about all this scary life stuff."

So very nearly.... killing vampires, why would anyone get that on a show called Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

It was a toughie without looking it up though.

What is Willow writing an "Angry Letter" about?

Edited just to add that you spoiler free types can look out for a safe spoiler free fic on Pens daily from Sunday until Xmas Eve... An Xmas treat put together by the Captain and myself set in S5 so you can read it without fear. Shameless self-promotion but heck why not?

All aboard who's going aboard... I have it on good authority that the Captain wants to show us the Ring of Fire.
Now I am not totally sure what that involves, possibly a long line of volcano's but I fear that it might involve a particulary spicy curry and a grass skirt.
The latter worries me...

Willow's angry letter was, as no one is getting this, to the watchers council re Gile's sacking.

Okay another question... Willow's choices in "Anywhere But Here..." easy if you look it up. Bonus promotion opportunity for the best speculation on what that answer might be post "NMR" providing the who is a certain Tara Maclay*S*

well, as I hold onto the rail, and choke on sea spray (glug), I can say that Willow's choice of Anywhere but here was: Sitting outside a cafe in Florence, with a scooter parked on the curb, eating ziti (whatever the blue-rinsed Hell that is), and John Cusack is seated next to her. Post NMR, I reckon it would be ... Hmmm, more of a toughie. Who would Wills have a crush on? What about moving into a beach hut in France (to write the great American novel, because Willow must want to do that), and just happen to be on the porch one evening, eating chilli, and thinking existentialist thoughts, when a gorgeous brunette in little more than an apron (Beatrice Dalle) saunters up, and asks about the previous occupier, a chap called Zorg, who just happened to be a writer, too (she just *loves* writers, she says in a sultry french accent, rolling her eyes) ...

Nice place Wolfie, food and ambition - great thoughts... though I think a blonde in little more than apron with the initials TM might be more fitting hereabouts (as suggested in the question*S*)
As you are the only reply have a stripe...
