It's NYC Party Weekend, Miss Kitty Fantastico!

Postby BBOvenGuy » Sat Jul 14, 2001 12:06 pm

Happy Saturday to all!

By now those folks lucky enough to be in NYC this weekend are whooping it up and painting the town red at the PBP. Even a city as big and with as big a reputation as New York must be quaking over such a momentous event. If y'all at the party manage to tear yourselves away from the merriment long enough to read this thread, we who are not there salute you and wish you well.

As for me, I have a relatively quiet weekend ahead. I plan to do a lot of work on our Kitten Board Book. I also have to go out and be an industrial spy. We're developing a new electric cooktop at work, but every time we turn on our prototype, smoke starts coming out of it after about ten minutes. I'm therefore going to go buy a competitor's version of the design so we can take it apart and see what they've done differently. Naughty us... mwahahaha...

As for today's W/T question, imagine it's a few years from now, where Willow and Tara are out of college and living in their own home together. What kind of party might they have at their place? Which parts of the preparations would each of them handle? Might they use magic to help them get their home ready? Use your imagination and tell us what you think.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hmm, the city DOES look a little reddish when I look, I just thought it was the sunlight.

It's reverse engineering weekend! Good luck with the spy business, Bob!

If the girls had a party at their house, I imagine Tara would do a lot of the planning and preparing. I think Willow would help with the planning, but her primary role would be as hostess. She'd be good at greeting people and keeping the conversation going.

Hope the NYC kitties are having fun. Have a great weekend, all!

Those kitties in NY are awefully quiet, so either they have all been arrested or they are having a *really* good time.

Actually, they probably all got arrested while having a really good time.

Just came into this thread to whine about idiotic parents who permit their 5 year olds to run around without a leash. *grumbles*

Children btwn the ages 2 and 12 should be locked away somewhere secure and kept really far away from silver crystals until they learn that they do not climb tables/chairs to get to those shiny pretty things which were so obviously deliberately kept out of their reach!! GRRR...ARGH!!!

Howdy from New York! We're all having a faboo time here, and I'm being pressured to make what is for me a rare post in the daily thread.

RIght now we're all hanging out at Michele's place, about to start an epic round of tape watching. We visited the Museum of Natural History today. Xita behaved quite badly, we believe she was overcome by the big crystals in the mineral section, we had to drag her away and calm her down. We also all filled out a survey about the Human Evolution section, which indicated strongly to us that they're about to renovate the whole thing. I was quite disappointed to find out that they didn't have a Pteranadon model available for sale, despite hanging several cool ones from the ceiling in the museum shop.

Anyway, this is Adrienne (aka dri) so I'm being forced... in more ways than one... to post now. We are having a blast. Seen many, many things... and more things than I care to remember. By the time I get home on Monday night, I'll be so exhausted from all the kitten adventures, that I'm sure it'll take at least 2 hours before I run to my computer, and chat!!

I guess I'll chuck this baby to the board as everyone seems quite occupied on the bed at the moment evil laugh

Bye!

tee hee

hey again peeps! (my last post in this thread was actually written by len and adrienne. i don't want anyone thinking i did something like use capital letters, or that i would EVER use the word "faboo")

anyway, we are back in xxxita's den o luuuuuv -- me, xita, len, michele, adrienne and heather (evil skanky). we just had brunch and walked on the lovely promenade in brooklyn heights. you'll get lots of pics of kitties against the manhattan skyline.

last night, we had a *blast* getting drunk and watching willow/tara eps. we also met dazey, who was lots of fun. and a redhead! woo! sadly, she had to go back home and won't be able to make it today. but dazey, we were so glad to meet you!

for your edification, we watched:

"beer bad" - because adrienne really wanted to see an early season 4 ep, and watching willow tell parker off is priceless.

"hush" - we may have all seen it 4 million time, but seeing willow and tara move that soda machine in a room full of kitties is truly an amazing experience.

"who are you" - i *insisted* on this one. we were all beside ourselves over the "i am, you know...yours", and dear god in heaven, the flaming o scene. as soon as willow fell to the ground, we all burst out with "they were SO fucking!!!"

then a few shippy bits from superstar, just to make us all go "awwww"

next: "new moon rising". michele told us that she'd seen this for the first time completely unspoiled, and was SO sure that tara was a goner the moment oz came back. when oz left, and willow chose tara, she told us, she cried. aww...

then we couldn't wait any more, and had to skip straight to "family". no matter how many times we see the bedroom scene at the beginning, we're all still blown away that they got away with that. and of course, this is the best ep to drool over tara, and the dance scene at the end just kills us every time. i'm so glad i got to watch that one with kitties.

we ended the evening with the kiss scene from "the body". a hush fell over the room at the exact moment their lips touched. don't think any of us will EVER get sick of watching that one.

then, i'm told that we culminated the experience with an orgy in michele's bedroom. but for some reason, i don't really remember it. i must have had too much lemonade. um, guys, i hope i was good....

okay, i've rambled on for long enough now. the party continues at my place tonight, with a kittyy bbq and the end of season 5!! awwww yeeeeahhh...

I'm glad you guys are having such a great time

How could you guys watch all those episodes and NOT watch Tough Love and The Gift?...or were you too drunk to even notice?...LOL

And I'm really disappointed now...HOW could you have an orgy without Trevor?
That's just not right, I mean he wouldn't have to be the "star" of the orgy, you could just pass him around, you know, like a joint

You are kind to say so.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone who was at the party. I wish I'd gotten there earlier and had more time to hang out and talk to everybody. It was very annoying that I managed to drive from my house in New Jersey to within a 2-block radius of michele's apartment in Brooklyn without a single wrong turn, then drove right past her street and got hopelessly lost. But eventually I got there, and got a Big Kitty Hug from xita for my troubles--made the whole thing worth it! Then michele tried to kung fu my ass but I laid her out with a single deadly blow. Okay, I was coming out of the xitahug and I spazzed and clocked michele in the jaw with my elbow. Still, I think she was impressed.

And april is right, watching W/T moments with a room full of kitties is quite an experience. I think my favorite thing though was seeing the obvious affection everyone felt for each other, particularly our mods. It's not like I didn't think so before, but I can now confidently say that we are all in good hands.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the BBQ today, but I hope that there are more parties in the future.

Oh, one more thing: which makes me a bigger dork, the fact that I deliberately chose an amber necklace to wear to the party, or the fact that I felt compelled to point this out to those present?

well... its EARLY in brooklyn, and i just came back home from accompanying heather to the airport, seeing her off to chicago. waiting for the cab home, i missed her already. this weekend has been SOOOO fun.

yesterday, we went to april's house for the bbq and we did watch tough love and the gift and few others. all the important ones. i cant remember all the details, because i was introduced to the joys of lemonade, and things are a little bit fuzzy...

april was very concerned that we not walk on her precious new lawn, so instead xita and i rolled across it several times, evenly disbursing our weight so as not to damage the young grass. minor injuries resulted, but nothing we couldnt handle.

and its true, dazey has a mean right backhand. but i toughed it out, and just tried to stay out of her way for the rest of the evening. seriously, though, dazey we totally have to hang out again and SOON. somewhere centrally located... so you dont get lost in the depths of the outer boroughs.

and not only did xita kick my ass at pool but she made me lose my super cool exterior and blush more than once. naughty thing, that xita.

but there will be pictures. many pictures, in beds all around brooklyn. and there will be future roving kitty parties across the nation, because everyone is just too wonderful not to hang out with again...

so thats the early morning update on brooklyn kitten fun. now, maybe i can get a little sleep before lunch and study a bit this afternoon... hehe. right.

Brian!!! Don't Bogart that Trevor my friend..lalalalala. Old songs die hard.

Adding: I originally started this post to share some good news with my fellow NZers.
But I saw Brian's post and well The thought of Trevor ... well you know.

Good news for NZers: Starting soon (ahem) TV4 will be showing Season 5 of BTVS. YES!!! Now I hope starting soon isn't the same starting soon as we saw for Angel, 'Cause we may never see Angel.
Now I wonder what day and time they will show BTVS?

well... its EARLY in brooklyn, and i just came back home from accompanying heather to the airport, seeing her off to chicago. waiting for the cab home, i missed her already. this weekend has been SOOOO fun.

yesterday, we went to april's house for the bbq and we did watch tough love and the gift and few others. all the important ones. i cant remember all the details, because i was introduced to the joys of lemonade, and things are a little bit fuzzy...

april was very concerned that we not walk on her precious new lawn, so instead xita and i rolled across it several times, evenly disbursing our weight so as not to damage the young grass. minor injuries resulted, but nothing we couldnt handle.

and its true, dazey has a mean right backhand. but i toughed it out, and just tried to stay out of her way for the rest of the evening. seriously, though, dazey we totally have to hang out again and SOON. somewhere centrally located... so you dont get lost in the depths of the outer boroughs.

and not only did xita kick my ass at pool but she made me lose my super cool exterior and blush more than once. naughty thing, that xita.

but there will be pictures. many pictures, in beds all around brooklyn. and there will be future roving kitty parties across the nation, because everyone is just too wonderful not to hang out with again...

so thats the early morning update on brooklyn kitten fun. now, maybe i can get a little sleep before lunch and study a bit this afternoon... hehe. right.

As far as I can tell, they don't even bother to take their clothes off -- it's just two women sitting around Utopia, being gay.

Michele, how could you forget that lovely conversation you and I had? When I was trying to get you to...oh never mind.

So I got a phone call at some time after 11pm, but only after april told me to 'get off the internet'. Scary.

Anyway, from the sounds of it, everyone was having a blast. It was just fab to talk to everyone at once properly. Although apparently my voice is higher on the telephone, bleh.

Jill, you're a shocker. And it's a good job I was very drunk otherwise I'm sure I would have been more embarrassed.

The mods sound like they're getting along nicely; and I too am glad we're in safe (ahem) hands.

Len giggles like a girl, by the way. It's very cute.

Thanks for phoning people, and april, I did offer to call you back, so don't come a whinin' to me when your phone bill is like, astronomical.

Heather....just wait till I get to Chicago.

So I'm kind of excited now about next year and where the PBP will be. It seems like such a success this year that there will definitely be one in 2002. Garfield, you will be there next year. Otherwise I'll have to come and get you...

I will be there even if I have to bloody swim across the ocean. Although I kinda like the idea of you coming to get me.
