Well,I hope to have the Amber pics tomorrow. Don't expect anything better than this. LOL.

This pic is pretty big and it has a tiny shot of SMG sitting reading. Her stunt doubles were busy doing scenes while she sat and relaxed.

That's SMG and her 2 stunt doubles. She's got the black jacket. The stund doubles are wearing the red top and the blue jeans. They were helping her do her moves against what I assumed was April's stunt double.

More of the same. They shot a ton of shots like this.

That big wall thing they're in front of - is that something permanent on the playground or something the crew brought in?

I couldn't figure out why she needed 2 either. I think one does one type of a stunt and the other one another type. Don't know

Darin, that's something they brought in. They had 2 huge screen things they were moving around. Bob tells me they are there to reflect sunlight.

Here are the ones I lost! Damn it all! So here's my post again.

Here's Amber in that coat she kept running back and forth for.

Here's anya and Amber. Notice how I am trying to let the car hide me.

That last one is write before they began shooting. This is where she was jumping up and down getting ready to shoot. She transformed from this hyper young woman, to shy quiet Tara. Very cool.

Thanks Xita for the great photos! It is very interesting to read about Amber's transformation as she prepares for a scene.

One question about the stunt team. I read that SMG's two stunt doubles (Michelle Waitman and Melissa Barker) bring different skill sets to BtVS - one has extensive experience as a gymnast, the other as a martial artist. Were there any differences in the moves each one was showing Ms. Gellar? I've noticed Buffy's stunt gags this year involve more leaps and flips than during Sophia Crawford's tenure.

Thanks for the additional pictures Xita. It's interesting to find out how Amber get's "in character".

This is just my opinion but I found the stunt work was more dynamic when it was being done by Jeff and Sophia.

Dave, half the time the 2 stunt doubles were working with what I assume was the stunt coordinator on diff. moves. However, one of them was being shot the other one was just looking. The shorter of the 2 stund doubles was the one doing a lot of the punching and hitting. Then at one point SMG came and did one scene where she had to take a tombstone (I think) from April and hit her sideways with it. Both stunt doubles would help her swing. Actually, I was surprised at how little direction SMG needed during the fighting. She was very vocal in how the scene was going asking questions and even telling April's stunt double, or April herself how she should grab stuff. Very professional. Again I call her April, but that may not end up being her name.

Xita, thanks for the extra info! I enjoy the stunt work on both BtVS and Angel. It's neat seeing how the differnt stunt teams and the actors carry off the fight choreography.

If my memory serves me correctly, Clare Kramer (Glory) also remarked upon SMG's professional approach to the blocking and execution of their fight scenes together.

wow, that sounds like it would be really neat to see...makes me wanna go to a shoot now. oh well. if there's a buffy shoot scheduled next september when i'm back in CA for my friend's wedding, i may have to overcome my dislike of LA and head down there.

too bad i won't get to see robot me though! her name had better be april now, or i'll be disappointed!
