My dream last night involved falling in love with a woman who then turned out to be marrying a cousin I don't have but somehow that was a good thing, going on a treasure hunt that at first (when I was winning) involved non-existent earrings from my grandmother and lots of candy but then suddenly required lots of salad (at which point I lost), walking up and down really gigantic hills trying to get back to a hotel room, almost being attacked by a bear and a wild dog, and being saved by cousins I actually have (who even actually looked like themselves which *never* happens in my dreams).

I guess when my subconcious decides to stop being boring and mundane (like causing me to dream about finding nail-clippers) it does it all at once.

I can create a character and be that person for hours at a time. This became a paid gig in my teens and definitely helps with writing plays and acting.

I keep my fingernails long, cannot stand to have them short. Although, they are naturally white and very hard. It's not easy to cut them..I'm sure they planned it so I wouldn't.

Last night my wife, daughter and I went to see I Am Number Four. About half way through the movie I leaned over to my daughter and said, "This movie is a Buffy rip off...in a round about way. There's a ton of similarities"

Good looking HS guy with special powers, has a 'protector' (aka watcher), moves to a new town, meets and befriends the school nerd and falls for super sweet 'Tara like' girl. Then fights evil demon like bad guys with friends, escapes the HS through underground tunnel system and so on, lol.

Then as I'm watching the credits...

I didn't know it was weird to have crushes on my girl-friends until I was 9 or 10. I was at a birthday party and we were playing a game where we took turns asking questions and everyone had to answer, and I asked who out of the girls there would you rather date. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. After that I suddenly had crushes on boys for a few years.

My mother came downstairs and stood right in front of the TV when Lora Hirschberg won and I missed her kissing her wife, Damn It! I think I may have actually said 'STFU and move' out loud!!!

I'd totally rather read really bad W/T fic than watch the Oscars. I mean, we're talking bad spelling, no punctuation, horrid characterizations, funky formatting, cross-over Uber with Jersey Shore type-fic.

(No offense to those who are enjoying the award show, naturally, just awards shows these days are very much not my cup o' tea.)

ETA: Just re-read my post in context with the ones above about watching the Oscars and realized I am well on my way to being that annoying mother-in-law that ruins award shows. My son will be so proud!
