Well Kittens, no update yet, but there will be one up by Wednesday night at the latest. I've been insanely busy lately and I thought I would make it known that I'm not dead, just preoccupied. Here's some long awaited replies and please excuse my lateness!

Dianneswillowtree: More smoochies are in order for you! Thanks for the elephant dances and the cute kittens and the next update will be dedicated to you in honor of your birthday, to which I must wish you a very belated happy birthday! Would it be rude of me as to inquire how young you are?

guppy: Thanks and wait no longer...well not much anyways.

cantbefredless: Wow Stef, that's a lot of dances...you know how I do enjoy those so... Tara's back story is in the works, I think I will try to work it in there in two updates. Thanks so much for the hug! I love hugs more than dances, and that says a lot!

BigBlueEyes: Thanks 4 the dancing and happy you enjoyed the update! More soon I promise!

caz: No we can't find the guy that whipped Willow and Dawn...but I'll tell you this; he has been punished in a way that only people like him deserve to be punished like. I'll leave it up to your mind to devise that wonderful torture, whatever you think it should be. As for the musical evening, it was inspired by my civil war studies and my family's deep roots in bluegrass history. I thought it would be fun to portray, and there might be more of them in this fic, I haven't decided.

Willowslover: You're welcome. Hope you keep reading!

Shy One: Glad you are enjoying it and there will definitely be more :wtkiss in the future!

AlysonGoddess: Hey Erin, hope you had a good vacation! That sounds good right now... where'd you go? Glad you are liking the graphic details, I was a little worried that they might slow down the story, but it is moving quite nicely. As for Will and Tara being pretty fast, I didn't want to do that but due to my short attention span and the story being more about their life together, it was kinda inevitable. There will be angstyness but it may not be for a few chapters, we shall see...(evil grin)...

Update soon ya'll! See ya and thanks for the kind replies!

Here's just a little something til I can get to the next update. A bit of romantic fluff dedicated just especially to Dianneswillowtree whose birthday I regrettably missed. Here's to your romantic at heart nature Dianneswillowtree! :flower :x

The next morning dawned with a crow from the rooster promptly at five a.m. For once in her life, Willow willfully ignored the incessant crowing and continued to lay in her bed. She happily noted that she hadn't moved from the position she had fallen asleep in, and neither had her new lover. Tara still lay with her head on Willow's shoulder and her arm over Willow's middle. The redhead waited for any sign to see if the crowing of the rooster had woken Tara, but all she observed was the slow and steady rising and falling of Tara's side under her hand. Willow smiled and placed a tender kiss on the crown of Tara's head. She inhaled the deep, rich scent that had burned itself into her brain and then gently began to move her hand up and down the blonde's side. Tara stirred at the touch and looked up at Willow through half open eyes.

"Mmm, good morning." She mumbled through a yawn. Willow's heart nearly leapt out of her chest at the sound of Tara's voice.

"Good morning beautiful." Willow said with a small smile and another kiss, this time on Tara's forehead. Tara grinned sleepily and snuggled closer to Willow, if that were possible.

"It's time to get up. I have to go to work today." Willow pouted. She hated the quarry. It was dirty, physically demanding work and she often came home sore and filthy. Not to mention the way the menfolk treated her. She was looked upon as a weakling and a worthless woman. The men there were no better than her father. Willow always made it a point to be doing something extra strenuous when her foreman came around. She wanted to show them that she was no weakling and that she was worth her keep.

"Will?" Tara's quiet voice broke through the redhead's thoughts.

"Yes?"

"I was thinking last night at supper how you said that you never went to school like Dawn gets to. I was thinking that maybe as a form of gratitude toward you taking me in, would you like me to teach you to read and write?"

Willow's eyebrows shot up and she shifted slightly under Tara to sit up a little.

"You would do that for me?"

"Of course. Look at what you are doing for me. It's the least I can do Will. Please, let me teach you."

"Okay," Willow said after a moment of thought. "Only if you promise to be patient. I'm not the fastest of learners."

"I promise."

"Alright." Willow grinned as she settled back down on her pillow with Tara. The blonde's body warmed Willow's and she felt herself growing more sleepy by the second. There was a pounding on the floor and both women faintly heard Dawn's voice downstairs.

"Will! Tara! Wake up! The sun will be up soon!"

The blonde and the redhead looked at each other and began giggling uncontrollably. Neither knew what was funny about their impromptu wake up call, but both seemed to find it very humorous as they laughed for several minutes. When the laughter had subsided to broken giggles, Willow sat up in bed, taking the sheet with her accidentally. Tara felt the warmth dissapate as the sheet swished off of her naked body. Willow stood and stretched, then turned as Tara was scrambling for the sheet or something to cover her nude form. Both stopped in mid-movement and stared at appreciatively at the others nakedness as if seeing each other for the first time. Tara was the first to move as she felt a sudden rush of cold air over her bare skin. She grabbed the sheet and pulled it back over her prone form on the bed. Willow blinked and shook her head slightly, pushing aside the images of passion from the night before, of Tara's body in the light of the raging storm.

"Why do you hide yourself?" Willow's question was innocently curious. She clearly was unashamed of her nakedness as she rounded the bed and stood at Tara's side, waiting for an answer.

"I-I don't know. I'm embarrassed, I suppose." Was Tara's almost whispered response. She fought herself from putting her head down. Willow's curiousity was heightened as she cocked her head to the side and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Why are you embarrassed? I've already seen you naked."

Tara merely stared up at the redhead. Willow held out a calloused hand.

"Come. Stand up."

Tara hesitated, then took Willow's hand and stood, still holding the sheet against herself with her free hand. Willow tugged her hand away from her body and the sheet slipped to the floor, once again exposing Tara to Willow's green eyes. Willow took her in with a longing gaze at her body, then lead her by the hands to the full length mirror that stood against the far wall. Willow gently guided Tara in front of her. Tara stood facing her reflection in the mirror, turning red from staring at her own body in the reflection. She attempted to cover herself with her hands, but Willow anticipated this and reached for her hands first, easily guiding them down to her sides.

"A naked body is a beautiful thing Tara. Something of which you should never be ashamed of. Especially yours. Look at all of the wonderful hills and valleys. It's like looking at the countryside from the top of the trees. It's such a wonderful sight." Willow ran her hands lightly over Tara's many soft curves. The touch was feather light, just barely grazing Tara's skin, but it was enough to make goosebumps cover her body and her nipples stand out slightly. Willow went all the way down to the blonde's calves, then back up to her shoulders.

"See? Beautiful." Willow said as she stared at Tara and herself in the mirror. She wrapped her arms around Tara's middle and Tara hands over Willow's.

"What do you see?" The redhead asked quietly. Tara stared hard at the mirror and an image flashed in her mind's eye of her mother standing in her bedroom in a brown dress, her curves accentuated nicely by the soft fabric. She had always thought her mother was beautiful.

She looked at her reflection again and tears formed in her eyes. She never realized just how much she looked like her mother.

"I see my mother. She always looked so beautiful. She had the bluest eyes you have ever seen and the silkiest brown hair. She had lots of hills and valleys like me." Tara said with the merest hint of a smile. Willow smiled and kissed the curve of Tara's neck.

"What do you see?" Tara asked more quietly than usual. The blush that had somewhat gone away was renewed when she spoke.

"I already told you what I see." Willow said as she turned Tara towards her and wrapped her arms around her waist once more. She kissed her gently and stared deep into the watery blue pools. "Beautiful." Willow whispered.

Tara's tears finally fell as she wrapped her arms tightly around Willow's neck and hugged her.

"Thank you."

"I love you." Was Willow's response as she held the blonde closely and took in more of her defining scent. Tara could only nod as she clung to the one person she thought she would never find; her soulmate.

Alrigh kittens, another update for you!

After seeing Willow off to work, Dawn and Tara went about their chores. Tara was sweeping the porch when a tall man wearing spectacles approached.

“Can I help you?” Tara asked as he stopped in front of the steps. She noticed a worn book in his hand that had several sheets of paper tucked into it.

“Is Dawn home?” The thick British accent caught Tara off guard.

“She is. May I t-tell her who is here?”

“Oh yes, how careless of me. I’m Rupert Giles. I’m her school teacher.”

“Oh, is it Tuesday already? Time passes s-so quickly here.”

Tara went into the house and invited Mr. Giles in as well.

“Dawnie?” Tara called out.

“In the kitchen!” Dawn’s voice rang out.

“Mr. Giles is here to see you.”

Dawn appeared in the foyer a few moments later.

“Hello Mr. Giles.”

“Hello Dawn. I wasn’t aware that you have a new guest.”

“Oh, Mr. Giles this is Tara. Tara, Mr. Giles.” Dawn introduced the two and Mr. Giles shook Tara’s hand.

”Tara is a friend that will be staying with us from now on.”

“How lovely. How are you getting along so far?” Mr. Giles’ pleasant nature made Tara like him very much.

“Very well, t-thank you.”

“Well have you any need for a tutor, I come by on Tuesdays to bring Dawn her books and lesson.” He handed the book and papers over to Dawn as he spoke.

“Thank you.” Tara answered courteously. There was a bit more small talk and then Mr. Giles said his goodbyes and left the girls to their chores. They took a break for a quick lunch, and then they were back to their chores. As they washed and hung the laundry, Tara treated Dawn to her lovely voice by singing her a song.

Before they knew it, the sun was setting and they went inside to wash and prepare dinner. Willow came in soon after. She had had a very bad day at work and was in a foul mood when she came in. She had been put on the blast clean up crew, and all day she had done nothing but haul out the debris and rock that the blasting crew had blown out of the caverns. Tara and Dawn managed to get some conversation out of her while they ate and by the time she was getting ready for bed, Willow was in a much better mood. Tara knocked softly on the door and Willow opened it for her.

“I thought you m-might like me to read to you for a little while.” Tara said as she held up a book.

“Of course. As long as you’ll lay in the bed with me.” Willow said with a slight smile.

“O-okay.”

They both climbed into Willow’s bed and Tara began to read by the light of the oil lamp next to the bed. Soon Willow had dozed off to the sound of Tara’s soft voice and Tara kissed her softly and blew out the lamp.

The weeks went by quickly, and each day Tara began to love her life with the Rosenbergs even more than the last. She became very fond of Dawn as they worked side by side on their daily chores. She and Willow spent the evenings with a blackboard in front of the fire and Willow learned very quickly, despite her protests that she was a slow learner. By the end of the first week, Willow had learned how to write her name. By the end of the second, she could read small sentences. After all she had a wonderful teacher.

By the time Willow was in her last week of work, they had all fallen into a comfortable routine. On a Tuesday night, they were relaxing in front of the fire after a long afternoon, when there was a knock at the door. Willow answered it with Dawn and Tara following her to the foyer. A look out the window revealed a tall young man in his twenties, with reddish brown hair. He wore the dusty, torn uniform of a Confederate soldier. He gave Willow a smile when she opened the door.

“Hello ma’am, I was wondering if you might have a place for a homeward bound soldier to rest his head for a night?”

Something about his mannerism nearly made Willow turn him away, until she thought of Xander and how she hoped someone would give him a warm bed on his way home. She nodded and invited him into the foyer. He removed his cap once inside and ran a dirty hand through his scruffy beard.

“I’m Willow, and this is my sister Dawn and our friend Tara. She lives here with us.” Willow introduced them.

“Name’s Donald ma’am. Thank you kindly for the bed. I’ve been walkin’ a mighty long way.”

“Is the war over?” Dawn inquired.

“Dawn, I’m sure this nice man doesn’t want to hear a bushel of questions right now. He’s probably tired from his long walk.” Willow finished speaking to Dawn and turned back to address their young stranger. She saw the stranger was running his eyes up and down Tara’s form. Tara looked at the floor at the sight of his attentions and Willow unconsciously took a step closer to Tara. Donald’s eyes snapped back to Willow’s face when she turned toward him but not before she caught him staring salaciously staring at her friend. He quickly cleared his throat and tried to bring Willow’s attention away from the fact.

“It’s no bother. Dawn is it?” At Dawn’s nod, he proceeded to tell her about the battle he had last fought in and how his regiment was defeated and driven apart. He came upon a regiment of Union soldiers, who believed him to be a scout for the Confederate army, and was fired upon. He was wounded and left for dead, but a sheep farmer found him and nursed him back to health, then sent him on his way. Since most of his regiment had been scattered or killed, he was on his way home.

“We can’t harbor a deserter. I’m sorry but I have too much to risk.” Willow told him after he finished his story.

“I promise I won’t cause any trouble. They think I’m dead, no one will think to look for me.”

“Until the home guard comes by. I’m sorry but you can’t stay here.” Willow argued. She didn’t like him for some reason, and she didn’t really want him in the house around Tara and Dawn.

“Please ma’am. I got nowhere else to go tonight. I promise I’ll leave tomorrow. If the home guard comes by here I’ll leave with no argument. Please.” He pleaded.

Willow thought for a moment. It was only for one night, she supposed.

“Alright but only for one night. And I don’t want you hangin’ around my farm when you’re supposed to be gone.”

“Thank you. May God bless all of you.”

“The spare bedroom is down the hall there and there’s some leftover stew in the pot in the kitchen. I’ll put some water in a pitcher for you to wash with.”

“Thank you.”

Willow nodded and went to fill a pitcher from the well. Tara showed him where the bowls were and left him to eat alone in the kitchen. She joined Dawn in the sitting room to wait for Willow. Willow returned a few minutes later and motioned Dawn and Tara to follow her upstairs.

“Dawn, I want you to sleep in my room tonight. You too Tara. I don’t know that I trust him.”

Dawn and Tara nodded and Willow retrieved a few extra blankets from the other two rooms. She spread them all out on the floor next to the bed and placed her old pistol under the bed within reach. They all changed into their nightclothes and Dawn and Tara climbed into the bed and Willow lay on the floor next to the bed with her hand on the pistol.

That's all for now my friends but more soon I promise. Just a few notes on this one:

Note 1: I realize that in the series, Donnie is Tara's brother, but he always gave off such and evil vibe every time I saw the ep. Family that I couldn't come up with anyone I despised more to have his particular part in this story.

Note 2: I have nothing against the Confederate army, nor was Donnies association with them meant to imply that they were all evil. Please don't be offended if you are from the south.

Note 3: For the next update, you might go back to the first post and read the disclaimers, it might get a little rough from here on out.

So my computer's been broken but now it works so here's some replies and an update!

Dianneswillowtree: Thanks for the dibs! So you think you know huh? We shall see...

BigBlueEyes: Yay for the pink elephant!

Willowlover: Your wish is my command! Just read it and see...

Guppy: Thanks for the post, I think you'll be surprised at what's going to happen when the smoothness disappears!

cantbefredless: Aw Stef, I've missed your hugs and dances so much...I guess in essence, I've missed you. A lot. Hope you got your computer fixed my friend. Hope to hear from you soon!

Alright here's your update...just in case, you need to go back and reread the disclaimers...it's likely to get a little rough from here on out...

The next morning, all three girls woke nearly at the same time. Willow stood from the floor and stretched before dressing and going downstairs. She saw that their guest wasn’t up yet, so she went outside to feed the horses and tend to their stalls. When she finished, she came back into the house for some breakfast and discovered that Donald was up eating with Dawn and Tara. Willow took her place at the table.

“Good morning. I trust you slept well?” Willow asked purely out of courtesy than interest.

“Yes ma’am. Thank you.” Donald said around a mouthful of bread.

Willow nodded before resuming her own breakfast. She finished quickly and returned upstairs to retrieve the pistol from under the bed.

“Dawn, would you come up here please?” She called. She heard Dawn’s steps in the stairs and then her sister entered the room. Willow beckoned her over to the bed and placed the pistol in her hand.

“I want you to keep this with you today until I get home. He should be gone soon, but keep it with you all day in case he comes back. Do you understand?”

Dawn nodded her understanding.

“Good. Leave it here until I go. Then come upstairs and get it and hide it somewhere where you can get to it if you need it.”

Dawn nodded again and Willow gave her a slight smile and hugged her.

“You’re growing up too fast, you know that?”

“Yeah, that’s what you tell me.”

Willow laughed and released Dawn from her hold. She relinquished the gun to her younger sister and Dawn set it under the blanket on the bed. They both went downstairs and Willow tied back her hair and said goodbye to Dawn and Tara.

“I don’t mean to be ill-mannered, but I think it best that you are gone before I return from work.”

“I understand. Thank you again for your kindness.” Donald said with a little too much enthusiasm. Willow gave him a suspicious look before motioning Tara to follow her outside.

“I left a pistol with Dawn in the house. She’s to use it if he gives you any trouble. I’ll be home later on tonight. I love you.” Willow said in a near whisper. She kissed Tara briefly before setting out on her way to work.

Donald eyed Dawn as she bustled about the kitchen. The other two were outside on the porch. The younger sibling was pretty, but Donald fancied the older girl over her. Tara, he thought, was more his type. Pretty and full-bodied, she wasn’t lacking in any physical department. He heard the front door close and Tara came back to the kitchen. She helped Dawn clear the breakfast dishes and Donald stood up.

“I want to show my gratitude to you folks for lettin’ me stay here. I’m going to go out to the field and make myself useful.”

“That’s really not necessary-“ Dawn began, but was cut off by Donald.

“No, I insist.” His smile was similar to a snake’s as he bowed slightly to the girls and left through the back door, presumably heading towards the barn for farming equipment. Tara watched him go.

“I don’t like him.” Dawn said as she watched him through the kitchen window.

“I don’t much like him either. Didn’t Willow leave something for you? Upstairs perhaps?” Tara motioned toward the stairs.

“Oh! I forgot!” Dawn quickly went up the stairs and to the bedroom, retrieving the pistol from underneath the blanket. She went back down the stairs and to the kitchen and placed the gun in a cabinet near where she would be working for most of the morning. Tara nodded and finished helping Dawn in the kitchen. They hadn’t seen their unwanted guest emerge from the barn yet and so assumed that he hadn’t. Tara and Dawn did a few more things around the house and Dawn made up Donald’s bed, and then ventured to the kitchen for some more work. Tara had gone upstairs to make the beds. Dawn thought she heard the front door open but when she went to see if it had, it was closed and there was no sign that anyone had entered the house. Dawn went back to the kitchen and began to slice vegetables for supper. She heard what sounded like a muffled scream, and a strange thump on the ceiling over her head. She quickly grabbed the pistol from its hiding place and ran up the stairs two at a time. She didn’t hear the noises any more so she started opening doors at random. She opened Tara’s first, then her own and found nothing.

“Tara?” She called quietly. She approached Willow’s door slowly and saw a shadow moving under the door. She quickly ran to the door and threw it open. Donald was standing over Tara with his breeches undone, and Tara was unconscious by the look of it. He turned toward the door quickly and ran at Dawn, who attempted to raise the gun and fire. She was so shocked and frightened by what she saw that she barely had time to get the gun up before he tackled her. They flew backward into the hallway and landed with a heavy thud. Dawn kicked him violently until he rolled off of her in pain. She stood and ran to the edge of the stairs where the gun had fallen. She had just enough time to turn and fire a shot before Donald knocked her backwards down the stairs. She heard his cry of pain right before her head struck a stair and her world went dark.

Willow dropped her loaded cart and straightened to wipe the sweat from her eyes. She’d had a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach since she had left the plantation that morning. She looked up and saw her foreman standing about twenty feet away. Carting the rocks over to the growing pile, she dumped them and headed over to see her boss.

“I need to go home, sir.” She said when she approached the burly man.

“Why?” He practically yelled.

“I don’t feel well sir.” It wasn’t completely a lie, she reasoned.

“No, get back to work.”

“Please sir.”

“You can either get back to work or go home permanently Rosenberg! Which is it?”

Willow set her jaw firmly and looked her foreman squarely in the eyes.

“Then I say thank you and good day sir.” She turned on her heel and marched away, leaving the big man looking bewildered. By the time Willow got to the outskirts of the quarry, she broke into a full run in her hurry to get home. She knew something was wrong. The closer to home she got, the more sickening the feeling in the pit of her stomach became. She burst through her front door nearly out of breath.

“Dawn! Tara! Where are you?!” Willow ran to the stairs and found Dawn unconscious at the bottom. There was a large cut above her eye. Willow picked up her sister in her arms and laid her head in her lap.

“Dawn? Dawn can you hear me? Dawn?” Willow had tears in her eyes as she looked for any other injuries on Dawn’s body. Dawn’s eyes fluttered open and she looked at her sister in confusion.

“W-will? Is he gone? Where is he?” Dawn’s eyes were wild as she looked around in fear.

“Who did this? Was it Donald?” Willow was furious and nearly beyond control. Dawn nodded and tears began to spill from her eyes. Willow held her shaking sister in her arms as she looked over to the stairs. There was a thick trail of blood that lead from the top of the stairs down and through the kitchen doorway.

“Where’s Tara? Is she okay?” Willow asked her now wildly sobbing sister.

“Upstairs. Willow, I think he did something horrible to her…” Dawn trailed off into another episode of hysterics. Willow pulled her to her feet and nearly carried her up the stairs.

“Tara? Tara!?! Where are you?” Willow searched until she found Tara, exactly in the same place she was when Dawn had interrupted earlier. Willow rushed to her side, leaving Dawn to lean on the doorframe. Willow had tears running down her face as she picked up and cradled Tara in her arms as she had Dawn. She gently ran a hand down the side of Tara’s face and pushed her hair behind her ear. When she pulled her hand away, she had blood on her fingertips from the wound on the side of Tara’s head.

“Tara? Tara wake up. Please Tara, wake up!” Willow cried. She could see that Tara was breathing very shallowly. She carefully picked her up and eased her into the bed, then placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

“Dawn, will you be okay here?” Willow asked with a shaky voice.

“Please don’t leave us here Will! Please!” Dawn began to cry again. Willow crossed the room and gathered Dawn in her arms.

“Dawn, I have to go fetch a doctor. Tara won’t wake up, and you need to be examined as well, but first I am going to find the bastard who did this. You injured him, of that I’m sure. He can’t have gotten far.”

“No, leave him. I don’t want to stay here by myself!”

“Dawn, I need you to watch over Tara. I’ll be quick.” Willow pulled her sister away and held her at arms length, placing her hands on the sides of Dawn’s face.

“Stay and watch Tara. I love you and I’ll be back soon. I promise.” Willow kissed her sister on the forehead and strode with purposeful steps out the door and down the stairs. She followed the trail of blood out the back door and down the steps of the porch. The trail grew more sparse as it reached the tree line of the woods near the plantation. Willow stepped into the woods and had walked nearly one hundred feet when she heard a stick crack off to her right. She quietly picked her way through the brush and trees and stopped near a small clearing. A stream trickled through it that was perhaps two feet deep and for a moment she wished that she could just stop everything and enjoy the pleasant scenery. Suddenly she was tackled from the side. She felt something slice across her side and she and her attacker tumbled into the clearing. She looked up and met the eyes of Donald, who was weak and pale from the gunshot wound to his belly. He was wielding a knife in his bloody hands. Willow didn’t hesitate to charge him and tackle him into the stream. She quickly gained the upper hand and held him below the rushing waters of the stream. His struggles did him little good and in a matter of a few moments, he stopped moving. Breathing hard from exertion and the pain of the slash wound across her ribcage, she released him and watched his body float down the stream. She shook her head and sloshed her way to the bank of the stream. As she stumbled out, she placed a hand to her wound and found that although it was painful, it was not threatening. Still she knew she had to find a doctor soon, before she bled too much and became too weak to be of help to Dawn and Tara. She set off at a quick pace toward town, hoping that the doctor was home.

Wow....what an update.
You had me really worried..........but it wasn't quite as bad as I
was anticipating. So that's good.
I'm also glad that Willow got the satisfaction of killing Donald.

But I've really been thinking about this update. This is what I think
could happen (hint, hint ;-) )
Tara was either knocked unconscious or fainted BEFORE Donald
did......you know......to her. :rage So that way, she hopefully
won't have much recollection of what happened and won't be too
scarred. Then.....about a month later, she should begin experiencing
nausea, vomiting, and maybe dizzy spells or fainting. Then Willow will
have the doctor check her out and tell her she's going to have a baby.
Since they're not witches and it's the 1860's, this would be the only
way for them to have a child. And I always thought that Tara would
make a great mother.
I just think that it would be nice to have something good come out of
the bad that just happened. Of course, Tara would probably feel like
Willow would be upset about the baby, but then you could have her tell
Tara that she loves and wants the child because it is a part of Tara.
And Tara could then have a little girl that looks just like her. :baby

Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm a hopeless romantic. :blush
But it's your story.....so I'll stop rambling on like a crazy woman. :crazy
I'm also glad your computer is fixed. Does this mean we'll be
getting regular updates? I hope so.
This is a really great story.

You've got a great story here, but it's a bit choppy. It's unfeasible for Willow and Tara to be saying their "I love you"s, having only met the day before. Things are happening too quickly, other things seem to not be happening at all, and some things seem to have no point.

A bit of advice: trim your story, take an event (ie. Donald) and make it last for three or four, or perhaps more, updates. Try and smooth things out; more descriptive words, less paraphrasing. Use soft words in soft situations, for romance, for dreams and cuddles. Shorter, sharper words for nasty moments.

Anyway, it's a really good story, it's just the mechanics that need to be worked on. Hope you don't take this the wrong way, it's really just meant to be constructive.

On another note: I'm relieved, on Tara's behalf, to remember the forum rules. Like... no rape and shit. 'Cause... yeah. That'd be bad.

Go Dawn, good for her for having the guts to actually fire the gun. It takes more than people realize.

WOOOOO I got so excited when I saw the title Civil Love...I thought "Is it? IS IT? IT IS!!! A Civil War fic..." I'm a big Civil War junkie and I really love the setting (obviously). I also like Willow as the determined quarry worker-she's so tiny but I know she works harder than those big ole oaffish men there.
I would love to hang Donald from a tree by his man parts but I guess Willow got to him before I could-damn!

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this one. Thank you for sharing it!!!!
