WILLOW WEEP FOR ME

Willow weep for me

Willow weep for me

Bend your branches green

Along the stream that runs to sea

Listen to my plea

Listen willow and weep for me

Gone my lover's dream

Lovely summer's dream

Gone and left me here

To weep my tears into the stream

Sad as I can be

Hear me willow and weep for me

Whisper to the wind

And say that love has sinned

Leave my heart a-breaking

And making a moan

Murmur to the night

To hide the starry light

So none will find me sighing

And crying all alone

Weepin' willow tree

Weep in sympathy

Bend your branches down

Along the ground and cover me

When the shadows fall

Bend oh willow and weep for me

Between the lyrics and Nina Simone's beautiful voice this song always makes me weepy!

I could paint you in the dark, 'cause I've studied you with hunger as a work of art - Collecting you (Indigo Girls)

Iris

Postby Enigmatic » Mon Apr 08, 2002 7:23 am

I've always loved this song...it reminds me alot of the early Tara, and her feelings for Willow and her insecurity...

Iris by Goo Goo Dolls:

And I'd give up forever to touch you

'Cause I know that you feel me somehow

You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be

And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment

And all I can breathe is your life

'Cause sooner or later it's over

I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

When everything's made to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming

Or the moment of truth in your lies

When everything feels like the movies

Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

When everything's made to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

When everything's made to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

When everything's made to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am

I O U Love

by six by seven; my personal soundtrack to sassette's answering darkness fic on the pens' board :-)

you are the atom that started life

you are the glue of the universe

every thousand years i’ve learned to take a breath

you are cosmic and i love you

they brought down the stars and shined them because of you

they painted the sky in blue because you asked them to

and all the rewards of life are just simple truths

you are reasoning for sure

oh

i’ll never know the secrets of the world

oh

i’ll never know them

never know them now

i o u love...

i remember when you covered the earth in sleep

the ebb and flow and touch of your kiss

oh there can’t be a better way

with my last breath i will call your name

oh

i’ll never know the secrets of the world

oh

i’ll never know them

never know them now

i o u love...

Since I am a huge 80's hair metal fan, I would say that Without You by Motley Crue, Love Song by Tesla or Don't Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone) by Cinderella sometimes make me think of Willow and Tara.

"Perhaps we should just leave nature alone to its simple, one-assed schematics."

"Will she keep on the ground, trying to save me. Slowly forgive my lie, lying to save me. Could she love me again, or will she hate me." Alice in Chains, 'Rain When I Die'

For me it would have to be this old Roberta Flack song ('cos I'm an old guy), and I have a thing for 'first times'...

The first time ever I saw your face

I thought the sun rose in your eyes

And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave

To the dark and the end of the skies

And the first time ever I kissed your mouth

I felt the earth move in my hand

Like the trembling heart of a captive bird

That was there at my command, my love

And the first time ever I lay with you

I felt your heart so close to mine

And I knew our joy would fill the earth

And last, till the end of time, my love

The first time ever I saw your face

Your face

Your face

Your face...

The song I've chosen has been performed by several different artists but the words ring true for Willow and Tara.

CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU

You're just too good to be true

Can't take my eyes off of you

You'd be like heaven to touch

I wanna hold you so much

At long last love has arrived

And I thank God I'm alive

You're just too good to be true

Can't take my eyes off of you

Pardon the way that I stare

There's nothing else to compare

The sight of you leaves me weak

There are no words left to speak

But if you feel like I feel

Please let me know that it's real

You're just too good to be true

Can't take my eyes off of you

I love you baby and if it's quite all right

I need you baby to warm the lonely nights

I love you baby, trust in me when I say

Oh pretty baby, don't bring me down I pray

Oh pretty baby, now that I've found you stay

And let me love you baby, let me love you

You're just too good to be true

Can't take my eyes off of you

You'd be like heaven to touch

I wanna hold you so much

At long last love has arrived

And I thank God I'm alive

You're just too good to be true

Can't take my eyes off of you

I love you baby and if it's quite all right

I need you baby to warm the lonely nights

I love you baby, trust in me when I say

Oh pretty baby, don't bring me down I pray

Oh pretty baby, now that I've found you stay

Oh pretty baby, trust in me when I say

ESCAPE by Enrique Iglesias

Postby BloodysGirl » Mon Apr 08, 2002 7:07 pm

I think that in a way the song "Escape" by Enrique Iglesias. Espcialy the courus! Tell me what YOU think though...

ESCAPE

~~~~~~~
Here's how it goes
You and me…up and down but maybe this time
We'll get it right, when we fight
Cause love is somethin' you can't hate
When it breaks…all it takes is some tryin'
If you feel like me than I'm not gonna make you stay
But soon you'll be finding, you can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love!
You can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love!
So, leave you both,you should know, it's hard to just forget the past
So fast, it was good, it was bad but it was real and that's
All you can, in the end all that matters to know that your in love…
To feel like me than I'm not gonna make you stay
But soon you'll be finding, you can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love!
You can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love!
You can run…you can hide…but you can't escape my love…(x2)
Here's how it goes
All it takes is some tryin'
If you feel like me than I'm not gonna make you stay
But soon you'll be finding, you can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love!
If you feel like me than I'm not gonna make you stay
But soon you'll be finding, you can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love!
You can run…you can run…you can run… Babe you can't escape my love…you can run…Maybe It's bad, maybe it's nice, but babe you can't escape my love…you can run …you can run
You can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love.
More songs
Postby AlexisMQ » Mon Apr 08, 2002 10:51 pm
Well, I am on an 80’s kick today. I was listening to random cds on my drive to work today and found some songs that remind me of Willow and Tara.
I have to agree with the people who said Stay and The Rose and You're Still You. I love those songs. Also After All from the movie Chances Are (Cher and Peter Cetera) and Somewhere Out There! (I love the mouse! *grin*)
Also, Total Eclipse of the Heart (the Bonnie Tyler version… :) )
I could so see Willow singing:
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart
And Tara singing the Turn Around, Bright Eyes….
Also, There You’ll Be sung by Faith Hill from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack
When I think back on these times
And the dreams we left behind
I'll be glad 'cause I was blessed
To get to have you in my life
When I think back on these days
I'll look and see your face
You were right there for me
In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there'll always be a place for you, for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am there you'll be
And everywhere I am there you'll be
Well, you showed me how it feels
To have the sky within my reach
And I always will remember all the strength you gave to me
Your love made me make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me
In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there'll always be a place for you, for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am there you'll be
Cause I always saw in you my life, my strength
And I want to thank you now for all the ways
You were right there for me
You were right there for me
Always
In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there'll always be a place for you, for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am there you'll be
And everywhere I am there you'll be
There you'll be
Crazy For This Girl
Postby BloodysGirl » Tue Apr 09, 2002 6:27 pm
I also like the song "Crazy for This Girl" by Evan and Jaron. It reminds me of the feelings Tara must have had in the beggining of the whold W/T relationship.
CRAZY FOR THIS GIRL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She was the window down

And she talks over the sound

Of the cars that pass us by

And I don't know why but she's changed my mind

Would you look at her she looks at me

She's got me thinkin' about a Constilene

But she don't know how I feel

You know she carries on with out a doubt I wonder if she's figured it out

I'm crazy for this girl

Yeah, I'm crazy for this girl!

She was the one to hold me

The night the sky fell down

And what was I thinkin' when

The world didn't end

Why didn't I know what I know now?

Would you look at her she looks at me

She's got me thinkin' about a Constilene

But she don't know how I feel

You know she carries on with out a doubt

I wonder if she'll figured it out

I'm crazy for this girl

Yeah, I'm crazy for this girl!

Right now.

Face to face.

All my fears, pushed aside.

And right now…I'm ready to spend the rest of my life with you!

Would you look at her she looks at me

She's got me thinkin' about a Constilene

But she don't know how I feel

And if she carries on with out a doubt

I wonder if she'll figured it out

I'm crazy for this girl

Yeah, I'm crazy for this girl! (x2)

Anya : I swear, I am just trying to find my necklace.

Willow : Well, did you try looking inside the sofa in hell?

I just love The One by Shakira:

"The One"

So I find a reason to shave my legs

Every single morning

So I count on someone on Friday nights

To take me dancing and then

To church on Sundays

To plan my dreams

And someday think of kids

Or maybe just save a little money

[Chorus:]

You're the one I need

The way back home is always long

But if you're close to me I'm holding on

You're the one I need

My real life has just begun

Cause there's nothing like your smile made of sun

In the world full of strangers

You're the one I know

So I learned to cook and finally lose

My kitchen phobia

And so I got the arms to cuddle in

When there's a ghost or a muse

That brings insomnia

To buy more thongs

And write more happy songs

It always takes a little help from someone

[Chorus 2X]

You're the one I need

You're the one I need

Feel my real life has just begun

You're the one I need

You're the one I need

Nothing like your smile made of sun

Nothing like your love

Nothing like your love

Nothing like your love

-------------------------------

I just love the line the say nothing like your smile made of sun.

For me 'Trouble' by Coldplay and 'Playground Love' by Air

'I'm an highschool lover, and your my favourite flavour. Love is all, all my soul, your my playground Love.

Yet my hands are shakin', I feel my body Reeling,

times no matter, I'm on fire, your my playground Love.

Your the piece of gold, that flashes on my soul,

extra time on the ground your my playground love,

anytime, anyway your my playground love.

Possession (By: Sarah McLachlan)

Listen as the wind blows

from across the great divide,

Voices trapped in yearning,

memories trapped in time,

The night is my companion

and solitude my guide,

Would I spend forever here

and not be satisfied,

And I would be the one

to hold you down,

kiss you so hard,

I'll take your breath away

and after I'd wipe away the tears,

Just close your eyes dear

Through this world I've stumbled

so many times betrayed,

Trying to find an honest word,

to find the truth enslaved,

Oh you speak to me in riddles and

you speak to me in rhymes

My body aches to breathe your breath,

you words keep me alive,

And I would be the one

to hold you down,

kiss you so hard,

I'll take your breath away

and after I'd wipe away the tears,

Just close your eyes dear

Into this night I wander,

it's morning that I dread,

Another day of knowing of

the path I fear to tread,

Oh into the sea of waking dreams

I follow without pride,

Nothing stands between us here

and I won't be denied,

And I would be the one

to hold you down,

kiss you so hard,

I'll take your breath away

and after I'd wipe away the tears,

Just close your eyes dear...

'Only Hope' by Mandy Moore. (Actually, I think it was originally by Switchfoot, but I like Mandy Moore's version much better)

There's a song that's inside of my soul

It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again

I'm awake in the infinite cold

But you sing to me over and over and over again

So I lay my head back down

And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours

I pray to be only yours

I know now you're my only hope

Sing to me the song of the stars

Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again

When it feels like my dreams are so far

Sing to me all the plans that you have for me over again

So I lay my head back down

And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours

I pray to be only yours

I know now you're my only hope

I give you my destiny

I'm giving you all of me

I want your symphany singing in all that I am

At the top of my lungs

I'm giving it back

So I lay my head back down

And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours

I pray to be only yours

I pray to be only yours

I know now you're my only hope

Mmm...ooohhhh...

And, I also like 'Cry' by Mandy Moore. I'm too lazy to type up the lyrics right now, though.

Every time I hear Now and Forever by Carole King I think of Willow and Tara. For those of you who think its familar, it is on the soundtrack of "A League of Their Own"

Now and Forever

Carole King

Now and forever, you are a part of me

And the memory cuts like a knife.

Didn't we find the ectasy, didn't we share the daylight

When you walked into my life.

Now and forever, I'll remember

All the promises still unbroken

And think about all the words between us

That never needed to be spoken

We had a moment, just one moment

That would last beyond a dream

Beyond a lifetime

We are the lucky ones

Some people never get to do all we got to do

Now and Forever

I will always think of you

Didn't we come together,

Didn't we live together,

Didn't we cry together,

Didn't we play together,

Didn't we love together,

And together we lit up the world

I miss the tears, I miss the laughter

I miss the day we met and all that followed after

Some people never get to do

All we got to do.

Now and forever

I will always be with you.

Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop to look around, you could miss it.

Crematory - For Love

For years this feeling of intimacy

This pleasant well-known shower

Of endearment

My love for you burns like a fire

In my deepest self

Your love is the absolute

Perfection on earth

People would kill for these

Feelings and emotions

My thoughts circle around your life

Around our life till eternity

You are the enrichment of my life

You are the vitality of my life

My heart enflames at the sight of you

I would die if I couldn't feel your love

I hear your smile

Your voice in my dreams

When I wake day and night

But I would never like to miss

The feeling

Once I gave you my heart

And you treat it like your own

Flesh and blood

Emotions say more than

Thousand words

With you to the end of the world

To the end of our life

Neither Death nor Satan are

Capable of separating us

You are the enrichment of my life

You are the vitality of my life

My heart enflames at the sight of you

I would die if I couldn't feel your love

I hear your smile

Your voice in my dreams

When I wake day and night

Your eyes are like a drug

(from the 1997 album Awake)

Songs that remind us of Willow and Tara

Postby Shinnen » Sun Apr 21, 2002 9:52 am

I've got a few songs that always remind me of Willow and Tara's relationship.

Peter Cetera & Cher - After All

Alison Krauss - Looking In The Eyes Of Love

Kenny Chesney - You Had Me From Hello

The Pretenders - Loving You Is All I Know

Peter Cetera - After All

Well, here we are again;

I guess it must be fate.

We've tried it on our own,

But deep inside we've known

We'd be back to set things straight.

I still remember when

Your kiss was so brand new.

Every memory repeats,

Every step I take retreats,

Every journey always brings me back to you.

(chorus)

After All the stops and starts,

We keep coming back to these two hearts,

Two angels who've been rescued from the fall.

After All that we've been through,

It all comes down to me and you.

I guess it's meant to be,

Forever you and me, After All.

When love is truly right

This time it's truly right.)

It lives from year to year.

It changes as it goes,

Oh, and on the way it grows,

But it never disappears,

chorus

Always just beyond my touch,

You know I needed you so much.

After All, what else is livin' for?

The Pretenders – Loving You Is All I Know

I don’t understand how the sun keep shining

And I don’t understand why the seasons change

And I don’t have a clue what makes the rivers flow

Loving you is all I know

I can’t tell you why stars come out in the evening

And I can’t tell you where they go when they’re gone

And I don’t have a clue what makes a flower grow

Loving you is all I know

I don’t know how the world keeps on spinning round

I don’t know why the sky don’t come falling down

I just know that I would die without your touch

I don’t know what the time is to reach the shore

I just know that I’ll need you for forever more

Knowing that, I guess I know enough

I can’t really say if there is a heaven

But I feel like a tear when I feel you near me baby

If angels are real

They must know how I feel

Cos loving you is all I know

I don’t know how the world keeps on spinning round

I don’t know why the sky don’t come falling down

I just know that I would die without your touch

I don’t know what the time is to reach the shore

I just know that I’ll need you for forever more

Knowing that, I guess I know enough

I don’t understand how the sun keep shining

And I don’t understand why the seasons change

I don’t have a clue what makes the rivers flow

Loving you is all I know

Kenny Chesney – You Had Me From Hello

One word

That’s all you said

Something in your voice calls me to turn my head

Your smile

Just captured me

And you were in my future far as I could see

And I don’t know how it happened

But happened still

You asked me if I love you

If I always will

(Chorus)

Well you had me from hello

I felt love start to grow

The moment that I looked into your eyes

You want me

It was over from the start

You completely stole my heart

And now you won’t let go

I never even had a chance, you know

You had me from hello

Inside

I built a wall

So high around my heart I thought I never fall

One touch

You brought it down

The bricks of my defenses scattered on the ground

And I swore to me

I wasn’t gonna love again

The last time was the last time

I let someone in

But you had me from hello

I felt love start to grow

The moment that I looked into your eyes

You want me

It was over from the start

You completely stole my heart

And now you won’t let go

I never even had a chance, you know

You had me from hello

That’s all you said

Something in your voice calls me to turn my head

You had me from hello

You had me from hello

Girl I’ve loved you from hello

Alison Krauss - Looking In The Eyes Of Love

I wonder should I tell you

`bout all the crazy things I've ever done

I've been searching all my life

And when I should have stayed

I tried to run

I was searching for an answer

In a world full of strangers

But what I found was never real enough

Now that I've found you

I'm looking in the eyes of love

Darling' you've been good to me

You are so much more than I deserve

I never thought that I would find

Someone who's so sweet and kind like you

Please believe me when I say

This time I won't run away

I swear by all of heaven's stars above

Now that I've found you

I'm looking in the eyes of love

[Chorus:]

Looking in the eyes of love I can see forever

I can see you and me walking in this old world together

Lord my heart's found a home

I've been dreaming of

Now that I've found you

I'm looking in the eyes of love

[Chorus]

This song reminded me of the whole Willow/Oz/Tara affair from New Moon Rising. Its a cover of the Gram Parsons song, Hot Burrito #1 sung by Tanya Donelly (from Throwing Muses, Breeders, and Belly) with Julianna Hatfield (Blake Babies and solo) doing the harmonies. Tanya kept the original gender pronouns in (irony is kinda ironic that way) and sorta crunched what was a somewhat tender country song into a melancholic, witty, and (inadvertently?Shah.) queer pine. Its fierce and very sexy, so you should download (or buy) it if you can...

Hot Burrito #1

You may be sweet and nice

but that wont keep you warm at night

cuz I’m the one who showed you how

to do the things you’re doing now

He may feel all your charms

He might hold you in his arms

But I’m the one who let you in

I was right beside you then

Once upon a time,

you let me feel you deep inside

But nobody knew

Nobody saw

Do you remember the way we cried?

Im your toy

Im your ol’ *boy*

But I don’t want no one but you to love me

No I wouldn’t lie

Was out drinking over the weekend, and a gang of us were singing. This is one of the songs we sang. Some of you may know it (or some of the verses anyway) from Lilith Fair volume one (sung by Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan and Jewel.

The Water is Wide

Traditional

The water is wide;

I can't cross o'er,

And neither have I

Wings to fly.

Give me a boat

That can carry two,

And both shall row,

My love and I.

A ship there is,

She sails the sea,

She's loaded deep,

As deep can be.

But not so deep

As the love I'm in;

I know not how

I sink or swim.

I leaned my back

Against an oak,

Knowing it was

A trusty tree.

At first it bent,

But never broke;

Thus did my love

Prove true to me.

Oh, love is handsome,

Love is fine,

Gay as a jewel

When first it's new;

And love grows old,

And ever bold,

And shines as bright

As morning dew.

Adding up the total of a love that's true, multiply life by the power of two

"Wherever You Will Go"

The Calling

So lately, I've been wonderin

Who will be there to take my place

When I'm gone, you'll need love

To light the shadows on your face

If a great wave should fall

It would fall upon us all

And between the sand and stone

Could you make it on your own

[Chorus:]

If I could, then I would

I'll go wherever you will go

Way up high or down low

I'll go wherever you will go

And maybe, I'll find out

The way to make it back someday

To watch you, to guide you

Through the darkest of your days

If a great wave should fall

It would fall upon us all

Well I hope there's someone out there

Who can bring me back to you

[Chorus]

Runaway with my heart

Runaway with my hope

Runaway with my love

I know now, just quite how

My life and love might still go on

In your heart and your mind

I'll stay with you for all of time

[Chorus]

If I could turn back time

I'll go wherever you will go

If I could make you mine

I'll go wherever you will go

'It's good to be a chicken casserole'-Sass, answering darkness

'My heart is cleverer then I and it knows what to do.'-MC Legends of the Kiss

Songs that remind us of Willow and Tara

GiveMeChocolate - I'll see your Coldplay "Trouble" and raise you with "Yellow".

Two great tracks - one for the good times, one for the bad.

only finally listened to this song's lyrics and i think they're really appropriate for W/T.

it's by Jewel and i think it would make a nice song for them when they find each other again.

"Break Me"

I will meet you

In some place

Where the light lends itself

To soft repose

I will let you undress me

But I warn you

I have thorns

Like any rose

And you could hurt me

With your bare hands

You could hurt me

With the sharp end

Of what you say

But I'm lost to you now

And there's no

Amount of reason

That could save me

So break me

Take me

Just let me

Feel your arms again

Break me

I'll let you make me

Just let me

Feel your love again

Feels like being underwater

Now that I've let go

And lost control

Water kisses fill my mouth

Water fills my soul

So break me

Take me

Just let me

Feel your arms again

Break me

Make me

Just let me

Feel your love again

Kiss me once

Or maybe twice

Oh, it never felt so nice

So break me

Take me

Let me

Feel your arms again

Break me

Make me

Just let me

Feel your arms again

Just let me

Feel your love again

Funkytown? Nah, just kidding. For a while when they were on the outs, I was thinking Kasey Chambers' "A Million Tears", but ever since Willow copped a feel in Hell's Bells, I've been looking for a new one.

When ever I listen to the song 'He Touched Me' I change the 'He' to 'She', that kind of reminds me of :willow and :tara . For those Kittens that don't know the song, it's a older song and I have Streisand covering it.

Song line: 'I felt a sudden tingle, when she touched me'

Tara: "I am, you know" Willow: "What?" Tara: "Yours" (Hearts a Flutter)
