Yeah, and it's quite cheap too, although the trip down to London will cost a packet. Should be fun though, I am so hoping to go.

Note how there is no mention of her previous TV work.

This is about the multi-talented writer, director, producer Amber Benson.

BBC Cult has an article about Amber's upcoming appearance in London (if you click on the above link, you can see a nice little pic of her too).

Latest on the Wolf Boards from Wolf is:

"Germany looks like it will happen more info next week."

So there may be some hope for the German Amber fans too :)

Ok, call me cynicial, but has this been officially announced on Essence by Little Willow?? I just checked the Essence board and didn't see anything other than folks posting happily on her message board. I haven't received any mailing from LW about it yet, nor do I see any updates about it on the Essence of Amber board. So I guess I'm just wondering how "official" this is, in view of the recent Jealous Events "con."

I'm happy for the European kitties if the info is correct.:)

I've been to many Wolf events and I really doubt they would announce something that hadn't been confirmed with Amber.

I could be wrong of course, but in my experience you're pretty safe with the Wolf people :)

Well at least this time she actually will be in England shooting that movie right? So chances (har har) are she will have the time and opportunity to make this appearance. I am sure she is aware of the disappointment a lot of people suffered because of that con, totally not her fault in any way, but Amber seems the type that literally goes out of her way to make people feel better. Bless her, but whyyyy could this not have been a few weeks later though, I was planning to go to London early december for a long weekend. Not that I have set any dates yet. :grin

From what I can gather, Wolf Events are a pretty good bunch (as opposed to certain Jealous competitors I could mention) so I reckon the ad is genuine for the following reasons:

1) After the much publicised debacle (con organisers do look at what the others are doing and the reaction to it) that Wolf wouldn't advertise without checking with Amber first.

2) Unlike the Jealous events ad, this has a price tag on it and a date to buy tickets to see her.

3) She is in Britain shooting "Watchful Eyes" so she will be in the area and by the sounds of it will be wrapping up filming at about that time.

4) I think, and this is pure speculation, that Amber herself may have had a hand in this. I think she is aware of the deep disappointment that Jealous Events caused and I think she wants to give the fans some sort of consolation.

I so want to go to this event and hope I have the funds.

Hmm, I believe November 28 is a Friday, the day after Thanksgiving here in the States. I wonder how that might affect airline flights of US kittites thinking about going.

Doggone, I do so want to see that woman again in person some time in the not so distant future!!

Off to go to Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, etc.

Janice

Edited to add that I just went back and checked the Wolf Events site and the possiblilty of Germany and Ireland appearances sunk into my foggy,not-yet-caffeinated with- enough- coffee brain. Hmmmm again. Maybe if those happen flights might be cheaper.

Amberthings that make me go "hmmmmmm." :)

hi all,

Is anyone going to this?

i would love to go but after being ripped off by J.E im wary of these things now, so want to make sure this is all above board

it sounds good and the price is reasonable and she will be in the country at the time

but there is no venue annouced and i couldn't see anything about it on the escence website

so i just wanted to know if anyone else is plaining on going or if they know this is all above board

thanx :)

Well, my sources tell me that Wolf are a reputable company and after the debacle of J.E. and the bad publicity they got for the David Boreanaz event I doubt that Wolf would attempt to offer something that wasn't a done-deal with AMber.

However, I cannot go as it seems that we lowly people without credit cards are discriminated against by Wolf. I have asked them if they would accept a cheque or Postal order for the amount and have heard nothing from them. It is somewhat disquieting to be given a deaf ear by a company when you have made it plain that you are willing to pay a little extra for using a cheque. As such I am very cautious about these people now.

London calling!

Postby Chino6069 » Tue Oct 07, 2003 1:20 am

You can fly from Glasgow via EasyJet for a few quid if you book far enough in advance. We booked last night to fly down in December (on way to New Year in New York!) and our return flights were £12!

It's never expensive to get to London these days.

It's a shame it's had to be delayed but that's the way it is sometimes. I hope people who booked flights will be able to change them to the new date when it's announced.

The notice says that the delay is due to two new films.

I already know about Watchful Eyes, but does anyone know what the other film is?

I just got more info from Little Willow

Quote:
Hey everyone!

Yesterday's announcement about the events was a little premature. This might clear things up.

If you've already purchased tickets or made reservations, you do not have to change anything yet. Just hang tight and wait for updates from Wolf Events.

The stuff for the films isn't 100% firmed up yet. Once it is, Amber will know what dates are available, and then know if the UK event dates will have to be changed or not.

So it seems it's still not fully known when the event will be.

hi all

just thought i add what was put up on the wolf boards aswell :)

------------------------------------------------------

" hi all,

The official word from Wolf.A posting was made on the Essence of Amber site stating that the dates for her tour have been postponed.

The posting was done in goodfaith and with no malice intended.

That said the situation is that Amber like all actors gets offered projects almost every week.Approx 1 in 20 of these projects go ahead.

As we stand today Amber does not have another work commitment but has the potental of one.

If anything changes we will notify you.

Other locations are STILL in the development stages and hopefully work permitting we will make annoucements shortly.
