Hey KISMIC! Any sightings of this film yet? I've been prowling my local video stores and bugging the hell out of the staff to no avail. But South Australia seems to be the hotspot these days for new releases. :)

Okay so "Don's Plum" comes out in South Aus in November, I'm thinking around about the 13th-ish.

Indygo, see if the video stores have a "coming out in (insert month here)" sheet/board/etc, that's where I get all the up-comings from.

I keep getting the film mixed up with the band Eve's Plum. (Are they even a band, or am I more confused than I think I am?)

Hello to all. As I promise, here is next caps.

And short reviev of Ambers appereance in this movie.

Amber play young girl named Amy in trip to Las Vegas. She hitchhike, but driver

who take her in his car, kick her on some street in L.A. She hitchhike next

car and she go with this driver to meet with his friends. They mets in bar named

Dons Plum. They are very disgusting, nasty and some more. They talk about sex,

alcohol, drugs, make nasty fun from other visitors of Dons Plum. Amy not feel well,

and when they make jeers about fat black woman, she gall about this and cry when a

leader of pack (played by DiCaprio), make her by jeers to fury. She goes to toilets and when she

return, throw on DiCaprio shoe and run out (My lovely scene) . The pack tells about her that she madness.

When Amy go out from bar, she kicking a jeep of driver, who bring her here. And when she looking for

baseball bat, she destroy this jeep (another my likely scene :) ). Last scene where Amber appereance is

when she hitchhike another car (driven by woman) and leave this horrible place and movie.

My feels about this movie is that only light point of movie is Amber´s appereance.

In Czech Republic this movie first aired on the festival in Karlovy Vary (I dont know if they are english name) year ago. I hope that Amber´s movie Chance will be in this festival, but I think that is not possible.

P.S. - Sorry about my english and quality of screencaps (okay, my english is my problem :) , but about

caps - this movie is record on hand camera, and qulity of screen is´nt my fault).

Here is screen caps :

The movie.. or how you may call it.. will be released in Germany on January 15th.

I'm not sure if I wanna pay for that.. ok, it has Amber in it, but I can't stand Tobey and Leonardo..

Yeah, Don's Plum sucks. I'd recommend just watching the Amber bits. The whole thing is pretty nauseating. The part she's in is actually pretty nauseating, too, and very angry-making. Not because of her, of course, but because of all those other horrible people.

Hey Everyone -

Don't know if this will help you at all...but I've seen several copies of "Dons Plum" for sale on Ebay...

Although - just my humble opinion (as someone who paid actual money to buy the DVD's of Rip It Off/Beyond the City Limits and Taboo) - find someplace to rent it. The only thing that salvaged Taboo for me was the fact that Amber was in it...

Ah yes, what we won't do to get fleeting glimpses of Amber/Aly goodness on film.

This coming from myself who shelled out money on ebay for VHS copies of Don's Plum and Rip It Off and bought Taboo on DVD just to see a kitted up Amber and Aly.

Rationalizations abound as there are wheels within wheels working here; one hates to reward bad low-budget near hate-crime filled independent films but it's a cheap way to see the world if you're an actor.:miff

Same here... :smash

I have the film but I'm sure I will never watch it again. The worst thing is that, like with others, I could usually think of watching only Amber scenes, but they are the hardest ones to watch in this film (not because of Amber, of course!).

Uhmm... maybe if you turn the sound off and don't look at anything but Amber... maybe...

I am really curious about this movie now. Sometimes it is fun to watch a movie if it is really really bad or cheesy, as long as it is for free that is. What is so horrible in the scenes that Amber is in?

I love bad, cheesy movies. And I'll pay for them, too.

But Don's Plum...it's not like it's just bad, like a regular low-budget movie that might have horrible acting and special effects and is fun to watch because it's so bad.

The characters/actors in Don's Plum are mean. They're awful, vicious, and shallow. And most of them, especially that Leonardo asshole, are mean to Amber.
