Summary- Alternate universe where Buffy and Willow have finished their first semester at UCSD. During the long summer break, Buffy’s cousin comes to stay.



Notes – Ok this will probably suck and will be very cliché I guess but hey. And well it was gonna be fluffy bunnies but I’m not promising un-angst anymore, but there may not be umm well anyway, thoughts are in <

“Hey, did you have a good night.”



“Yeah it was…great.”



“Cool, me too, I’ll tell you all about it in a while, I’ll be down in about five minutes okay?”



Willows eyes widened, “Uh five minutes…k.”



“Alright later.”



“Bye.”



“Five minutes?” Tara asked.



“Five minutes!” Willow confirmed before they both darted to the bathroom to get ready.

“I have no idea how I managed to get dressed so quickly.” Tara said as she collapsed on the sofa next to Willow.



“Me neither…oh and we have 15 seconds to spare.”



“Yay…lots of time to die!” Tara said before sinking even further into the comfy chair.



Willow looked over at Tara and smiled. < She’s so pretty…not pretty…beautiful, amazing, gorgeous...I need more words! What do we have now? We shared a huge thing, are we girlfriends now? >



Tara turned and saw Willow staring at her intently with a frown on her face, “What’s wrong?” Tara asked as she ran a hand through Willows fiery locks.



Willow sighed at the touch, “Nothing, I was just thinking.”



“About?” Tara prodded and sat up a bit.



“Nothing, just random thoughtness.”



“Hey, if you can’t tell your girlfriend, who can you tell?” Tara looked at Willow confused when she saw a huge grin creep over the redheads face, “What?”



Willow leaned down a little, inches away from the blonde’s mouth, “So I’m your girlfriend?”



< Oops, well I bet you just royally scared her off MacLay! > “Umm, if you want to be.” Tara said shyly, avoiding eye contact with Willow.



Willow leaned down and kissed Tara lovingly. The kiss soon escalated and showed the level of passion

they shared since making love the previous night. Tara groaned frustrated when Willow pulled back,

“Of course I do.”



It took a while for Tara to recover from the kiss and figure out what Willow was talking about. She smiled happily when her brain processed what Willow had said, “So we are.”



“Definitely,” Willow said before placing a few quick kisses on the blonde’s mouth, “I better stop, wouldn’t want to give Buffy a heart attack.”



“Well maybe that would stop her from phoning at inconvenient times!”



Willow laughed a little until she heard a knock at the door, “Speak of the devil.” She said before moving to answer it.

Buffy sat opposite Willow and Tara relaying ever detail of her date with Mike, “And then he held the door open for me and then we went to his car and did I mention he was a good kisser?”



Willow rolled her eyes, “Just a few million times.”



“It was so great! Okay I promise I will stop talking about it now. What did you guys get up to?”



Willow and Tara smiled sheepishly at each other, “Um, not much.” Tara said and gave Willow and a knowing look, “Watched some videos, ate too much, played board games…”



“I whipped Tara’s ass!” Willow blurted out. Tara looked at Willow wide eyed, “At the game of course.”



“Sounds like fun. So what we doing today?” Buffy asked.



“You mean you haven’t planned anything with Mr.Machopants?” Willow asked.



Buffy looked back guiltily, “Well I was going to coax you two into coming to the beach with me and then accidentally on purpose bump into him, but now that you know the plan, you coming to the beach with me?”

“Are you sure my costume is sexy enough?” Buffy asked.



“Buffy, its sexy okay!” Willow confirmed for the billionth time. Tara glared at her girlfriend and the redhead went into panic babble mode, “Well not to me obviously, but if I was a man looking out for sexiness you would be high on the chart, not that I would make a chart, do guys have a chart?” Willow noticed that Tara was grinning and she breathed a sigh or relief.



Buffy stood confused for a moment and then began walking again, “Wills, your babbling is becoming harder to decipher everyday!” Buffy looked around trying to spot Mike, there were only a few people on the beach and she spotted him with some other guys staring at a surfing board as if it was the best thing since sliced bread, “Oh there he is!” Buffy squealed and called over to Mike.



Mike looked up and wandered over to Buffy and wrapped an arm round her shoulders, “Hey Buffy and um, friends of Buffy.”



“Mike, this is Willow my best friend.” Mike shook Willow’s hand, “And this is Tara my cousin.” Mike shook Tara’s hand and eyed her up a little.



Willow noticed this and frowned, deciding she really didn’t like Buffy’s new love interest. Mike whispered something into Buffy’s ear and she giggled, “Me and Mike are gonna take a swim, see you guys later okay?” Buffy waved a little before walking away hand in hand with Mike.



“Can you believe that jerk!” Willow said annoyed as soon as Buffy and Mike were out of earshot.



“He seemed okay.”



“Okay? Did you see how much he was drooling over you? And what is with the fake tan, hello orange but much!” Tara smiled at her girlfriend, “What?”



“Jealous but much.”



“I am not!” Willow said before folding her arms over her chest, “Maybe a little.”



“Will, there is only one person for me.”



Willow smiled and pretended to look around, “Where is he? I’ll kick his ass!”



Tara laughed a little, “She’s right in front of me.” Tara said before staring intently at the beautiful redhead in front of her, “Lets go for a swim!”

Willow and Tara had worn their costumes under their clothes so they could change quickly. Willow had trouble controlling herself when she saw a very curvaceous blonde clad in a tight fitting black costume. Tara noticed this and whispered in Willow’s ear, “See something interesting?” Willow could only gulp and nod a little. Tara nibbled a little on the redhead’s earlobe and then suddenly pulled back and ran into the sea.



“Vixen!” Willow shouted before running after her.



They swam around for a bit, trying to adjust to the temperature of the water. They could see Buffy being whirled around in the air by Mike, then kissing much making out. Tara felt a pang in her chest at the sight. It didn’t seem fair that Buffy could be so open about a little fling, but Tara couldn’t be open with the woman she was falling madly in love with.



Tara swam a bit closer to Willow and under the water, ran her hands over the girl’s stomach. Willow could see the desire lingering in Tara’s eyes and started to feel a little warm under the girl’s gaze. Tara looked around and noticed a secluded space a little way down, “Come on.” Tara pulled Willow over behind some rocks.



“What are we…” Willow started but felt Tara’s demanding mouth on hers and saw the hunger in the other girl’s eyes.

“Maybe they went to get an ice cream or something?” Mike suggested to a worried Buffy.



“No they wouldn’t just…they would say. Besides I’m sure I saw them swimming, oh god! What if they got dragged away by the current? I’ve got my best friend and my cousin killed…my moms gonna kill me!”



“What’s going on?” came a voice behind Buffy.



“Willow! Tara! Thank god you’re alive!” Buffy shouted as she hugged both girls tightly. She pulled back and noticed that there were a few tears in the girl’s costumes, “What happened?”



“Oh…well that, we were running and we fell and there were stone’s and we umm…you know.” Tara offered lamely.



“Yeah with the rocks and stuff woo man you wouldn’t believe.” Willow added.



“You’re okay though right?” Buffy asked.



“Yeah great, better than great.” Willow said.



“Good, cos I’m starving.” Buffy said before getting her wallet out, “You wouldn’t mind going up there and getting a burger for me and Mike would you? I thought not, thanks Will you’re the best.” Buffy said before patting Willow on the shoulder and wandering over with Mike to his posse.



Willow just stood for a while and then shook her head, “Guess we better put some clothes on.”



“Yeah, ones that don’t look like we have been attacked be a shark or something.”



“Hey you started the feisty clothes ripping missy!” Willow defended.



“Are you complaining?” Tara asked huskily.



“Good point!”

Lovely Aly, a heart attack certainly would stop the inconvenient phone calls Felt bad for Tara when she saw Mike and Buffy being all kissy faced and she couldn't be like that with Willow. Though can't argue with finding a secluded spot and tearing away Willow's swimsuit.
