Certainly the performance of the lead is extraordinary. The fact of the stress that her condition puts on her family seems to be generally very well handled.
The "alters" so far revealed are fascinating and amusing: "T" the teenager who never grew up and "Buck" the super-macho male. I have to admit that I got a kick out of Buck going after the guy who abused the daughter (who, btw, danced very nicely in "Coppelia"
).
Anyhow, the series seems off to a promising start (I'm looking forward to meeting the other "alters"). Other actresses have made a name for themselves playing "multiples" (Joanne Woodward, Sally Field), and I have no doubt this one will as well.
It will be interesting to see how this continues next week.
