Hey if the ending is better than dancer in the dark, does that mean the rest of the movie is as depressing as dancer in the dark?

A psychopathic lesbian rapist murderer, I bet she was miserable as well and died in the end, just to complete the whole thing.

No, she didn't died. Her raped roomate impaled her with a big metalic stick but she survived. Maybe they want to make a sequel.

Clamdandy is led by guitarist/lead singer Jacki (Gershon), who is two days shy of her 40th birthday as the movie starts, which leads her to question whether it's time to quit the rock star dream and just concentrate on her tattoo parlor. Providing Jacki with her core support are lesbian lovers Faith (Petty) (lead guitar) and Sally (Cole) (drums), both of whom face adversity as the story unfolds. Meanwhile, providing more problems for the group is bassist Tracy (de Matteo), a spoiled trust fund brat who spends her money on her debilitating addictions to alcohol and heroin. Added to the mix are Sally's brother, Animal (Blucas), who is recently released from prison and Tracy's erratic boyfriend, Ivan (Martin).

A FAMILY AFFAIR
It takes this movie to make us realize that we really haven't seen many witty lesbian romances. Writer/director/star Helen Lesnick works her Woody Allen impression for all it's worth as she looks for Ms. Right. Notable is that "coming out," the usual point of crisis in gay films, is nothing more than a matter-of-fact plot detail. The film drags in the middle but saves the good feeling with a warm and humorous finish. Not rated. 101 minutes. -- C.W. Nevius
I am curious because michelle greene is in it, the same one that quit LA Law because they made her kiss a woman.. hahah times change. - - - - - - - - - - -
