Just a reminder that the deadline to donate to charity through the Amber’s Birthday Brigade project and still be listed on the certificate is January 8th.



I also wanted to thank those who have already donated once again. You guys really are great.



T-shirt Update:



No news. I’m going to email the company again today. I’m hoping the Web page will be up in early January so everyone can order any shirts that they want.

The design is set. I talked to the company today and they will have the web page up and running within 2 days.



That means, as soon as I now it is operational, I'll email you all with the link. That mean you can order a shirt if you like.



On another note, as many of you know, the deadline to donate and be listed on the certificate is January 8th. I've noticed an increase in donations the last couple of weeks, and I thank you all for your contributions.

T-shirt update time!



The T-shirts are ready!



That’s right, finally the shirts are ready to be ordered. I sent out emails, including the link to the Web site, to everyone that I had an email address for today.



If you did not receive an email with the link to order a T-shirt, please email me at ambers_bday_charity@yahoo.com and let me know. There were a couple of people who didn’t include their email address (I have your name for the certificate, but not your email address). If you are one of those people, I apologize for not sending a thank you email, but I had no way of contacting you.



For all of you who have decided to buy a shirt, I hope you enjoy them. Next year we’ll have an all-new shirt, hopefully designed by Tina (the fabulous and official graphic artist for the ABB).



The shirt this year is a little different, but being the inaugural year of the ABB, I wanted something unique.



Thanks again everyone for your support. I hope you enjoy the shirts!

Hi All,



Well, today is it! Amber’s birthday, and the VERY last day you can donate and still make it onto the certificate. If you are planning to donate today, please do so by midnight PST because I’ll be compiling a list of the names for my graphic artist tomorrow.



Another note, some of you who donated to Make A Wish yesterday didn’t include your email address in the personal message. As a result, I have no way of contacting you to send a thank you note and the link to the T-shirt company. If you donated yesterday to Make A Wish and didn’t include your email address, please email me at ambers_bday_charity@yahoo.com as soon as possible. I plan to get my graphic artist the final list of names by the end of the week.



Also, some people did not include their last name when donating. If you want your last name to appear on the certificate and did not receive a thank you email, please contact me as soon as possible so I can make the necessary adjustments before the certificate is printed.



When everything is said and done I will update the ABB Web site with pictures and images, so everyone can share in the presentation of the certificate. I don’t imagine I’ll be able to update the site until January 29th, but I’ll try to post sooner.



I’d like to thank you all one more time for making this project such a success. You really are amazingly generous people and you should be proud of yourselves



As I’ve said, hopefully next year will be bigger and better. I’m working on some ideas that should improve things and add another dimension to the ABB.



Although this sounds very final, I’ll certainly be around. I just wanted to say a few things at the deadline

Well, I don't have time yet to write a greatly detailed account of what happened at Metro yesterday. I didn't get home until after midnight, and I have a ton of stuff to do before work today.

Okay here's my very slight account of what happened.



BTW, I FINALLY met and introduced myself to Xita. Hey Xita it was nice to finally properly meet you.



January 25, 2003 – Metro Entertainment



Sorry folks, but I’m afraid my report will be rather one sided and short. I really didn’t spend that much time interacting with people in line. I had a brief moment with Amber in the line at the signing.



BTW, for those of you who are attending Moonlight-Rising. Amber signed an ‘Amber’s Birthday Brigade’ T-shirt which I will be donating to the charity auction in June.



I spent the majority of the day chatting with Diane (Amber’s mom for those of you who don’t know). We covered a lot of subjects and to be honest I’m not sure what is public knowledge and what isn’t, so I’m not going to expand on that at the moment. Sorry



Here is a bit of info that I believe is public knowledge at this point:



Amber picked up a bug in London. So, she wasn’t feeling very well. But, she attended the signing anyway knowing that many people had traveled to see her. She didn’t want to disappoint any of us



So, never doubt that Amber loves you guys as much as you love her.



In regard to the presentation of the certificate, Amber was very touched by what you all accomplished. She told me to send you all her love. I got several hugs, which I like to think were all for you guys too



To be honest the actual presentation of the certificate was not very long at all. It’s really kind of a blur at the moment. LOL. Amber already knew what I was doing because I told her at “Albert Hall” as I wanted her seal of approval on the project. So, it wasn’t surprise.



Tina, she REALLY liked the design of the certificate and the framing. So BRAVO to you You really did a kick a$$ job!



She liked the T-shirt too. For those of you who haven’t seen the T-shirt I gave her, a pic is available on the ABB Web site.



Yeah, I know. Julie is supposed to be a writer, why isn’t she being more descriptive?



I’ll try to expand on things as details navigate my foggy brain. This whole weekend is kind of a blur, but then I didn’t exactly get a lot of sleep. LOL.



So, keep checking back, and I’ll post when details come to me.

She received this at the same time she got Amber's certificate in the mail. I thought she deserved something for being the organizer and so much more. ABB News - Over the next few months I'm going to work on improving the ABB. I am looking into moving the domain so I can get away from GeoCities and go somewhere with some bandwidth. I will most likely redesign and reorganize the site when I move it.



I'm also kicking around the idea of including the T-shirts when you donate, but I'll have to see if that will take money away from the charities.



So over the next few months, I'll keep you all posted on new developments.
