Hiyas all thank you for the feedback..
Here is the next part, warning its a bit of a shocker though.
Later that Day
1630 Revello Drive
Buffy opened the door to her house and stepped inside, from the look on her face she was thoroughly fed up. She had spent some of the morning trying to get an answer from Spike as to whether he had been killing again. He had denied it and said he had only vague memories of what had happened last night.
Buffy wasn’t sure that he was telling the truth, he was hiding something she could feel it, but with him denying it and she had only the word of another vampire to say that Spike was killing again. She had very little to go on, but tonight she would find out the truth. Buffy planned to follow Spike and see what was going on, she hoped it would lead her to the truth and hopefully prove that Spike was not back to his old ways.
She glanced at the clock in the hallway; it was still early afternoon so it would be a while before sunset. At least she had a little time to prepare for tonight. Xander and Anya had agreed to watch over him while he slept during the day; both of them had stakes just in case the worst happened.
Buffy sincerely hoped that they wouldn’t need to use them, but Spike had seemed calm and didn’t get upset so Buffy did feel a little more at ease about the whole situation.
She walked into the lounge and sat down on the sofa and sighed. “I could do with some good news right now.”
Looking up at the ceiling she wondered how Willow and Tara had gotten on together, they had said that they where going to try a spell to help rebuild Willow’s confidence in herself. She didn’t really want to disturb them as she knew that would need to spend time alone with each other in order to work the magic.
Buffy hoped that through the magic perhaps Tara could help close the hole in the redhead’s life left when Tara was murdered. Until a few days ago Willow was still in so much pain, grief over losing her soulmate, the hurt and guilt she felt for killing and almost ending all life. Now with the appearance of Tara she had seen a little of the old Willow begin to remerge, how it was that Tara could always do that.
She heard footsteps and guessed they had finished the spell; she turned towards the stairs to see a smiling Willow followed closely by Tara coming down. Both girls looked happy and they where holding hands, that sight alone brightened up Buffy’s mood.
“Hey Willow, Hey Tara.” She said greeting the two Wiccan’s. “How did the spell go?”
“Oh goddess Buffy it was amazing.” Willow said happily. “I didn’t feel anything dark when we joined our minds to perform the spell.”
“That’s great news Will, so what’s with the holding hands huh?” Buffy said grinning. “That a result of the spell?” She added winking.
Willow giggled and to Buffy it was a sound she had really missed, she could also see that Tara was all smiles as well; both girls looked happy and Buffy guessed that the two girls had done a little more than just bonding with magic.
“Tara and I floated a rose between us and then together and just using magic we plucked the petals off one by one.” Willow beamed proudly. “Tara gave me the control I needed to focus my energies on the spell, she was my anchor.
“Sounds very romantic.” Buffy said.
Willow knew her best friend guessed that something more than just magic had happened between them. “Ok Buffy, yeah Tara and I kissed.”
“You kissed?” Buffy said looking so much happier. “Really kissed?”
“We did.” Tara said finally breaking her silence; she could feel herself blushing at the memory of Willow’s soft and delicate lips upon her own.
Buffy saw the little flush in the blonde girls face. “I’m really pleased for you both.”
“Thanks Buffy, I think it’s best for both of us if you just you know start out slow together.” Willow said. “She’s so special Buffy.”
“S s so are you Willow.” Tara told her.
Buffy came over toward them and hugged each girl in turn. “Oh my god Dawn is going to love this.”
“She’s a lovely girl.” Tara said.
“She adores you both no doubt about that, it’s just really wonderful news.” Buffy said.
Tara could tell that something was troubling the slayer. “Buffy are you ok?” She asked her.
“It’s Spike I can’t tell if he is back to his killing ways, he denies it but something is wrong I can tell.” Buffy replied. “I just wish I knew the truth.”
“What are you going to do?” Willow asked.
Buffy shrugged her shoulders. “I’m going to follow him tonight, see if I can find out the truth.”
“I’m sure it’ll be ok Buffy.” Willow said trying to reassure her best friend.
“I hope so.” Buffy nodded sadly, then after a few moments she brightened up. “Enough of the doom and gloom for now, you two are together and that’s something to celebrate.”
“That’s a point where is Dawnie anyway?” Willow asked. “I haven’t seen her all morning.”
“I guess she must be still asleep.” Buffy said. “Come on lets go find her and tell her the great news about you two.”
The three girls climbed the stairs towards Dawn’s room; Buffy listened at her door for a moment. She could a noise from the room so at least Dawn and her friend where probably awake. Without thinking to knock Buffy opened the door to Dawn’s room and stepped inside, what she saw gave her a total shock. Buffy’s mouth hung open as she caught the sight of her sister sitting on her bed kissing Kit, the two girls where completely unaware of anything around them aside from each other.
Willow felt herself smiling at the sight of the younger Summers girl, enjoying what seemed to be a passionate kiss with another girl. Tara had a little smile on her face; she had been right about Dawn and this young girl.
Tara and Willow gave each other a little wink and turned to see the reaction on Buffy’s face. The blonde haired slayer was still staring open mouthed, she was speechless.
Dawn could feel several pairs of eyes upon her; she broke from the passionate kiss and turned to see Buffy standing there looking on in shock. Just behind her stood Willow and Tara who had little knowing smiles on their faces.
“Oh god Buffy don’t you ever knock?” Dawn protested. “This is my bedroom not yours.”
Buffy was still unable to say anything as much as she knew that Dawn and this girl Kit where good friends she had no idea that their feelings ran any deeper than just friendship.
“Buffy?” Dawn asked.
Finally Buffy composed herself enough to speak. “Sorry Dawn, I guess I should have knocked first.” She said quietly.
“I should think so too.” Dawn said a little annoyed.
“Are you two?” Buffy began to say.
“Dating?” Dawn finished. “Look I didn’t want you to find out this way Buffy, I’m sorry.”
Kit looked nervous she glanced from Buffy to Willow and then to Tara, she noticed that the two Wiccans were holding hands, part of her relaxed as she guessed they might be a couple.
Willow smiled at Dawn. “How long has this been going on?” She asked softly.
Dawn looked nervously at Kit and then turned back to Willow. “Not long.” She replied then faced her sister again. “Buffy I know I should have said but with everything going on I got a little nervous, I guess I was worried that this would freak you out.”
Buffy relaxed a little and came over and say down on the bed next to her sister. “Dawn I’m surprised about this, but no it does freak me out.” She said finally giving her sister a smile. “Dawn do you like her?”
Dawn grinned and slid her arm around Kit’s waist. “Yeah I do.”
Buffy turned to Kit who still looked a little worried. “How long have you liked my sister?”
Kit finally gained the courage to talk. “A few weeks now, she’s lovely.”
Dawn just smiled. “Are you ok with this Buffy?”
Buffy smiled and gave her sister a little hug, Dawn returned the hug feeling a great weight coming off her shoulders. After the bad start to the day with Spike things where looking up, Willow and Tara had started to fall for each other, and now her sister had finally met someone. She broke from the embrace and smiled at her sister.
“Dawn as long as you two are happy I’m happy for you.” Buffy said.
“Thank you Buffy it means a lot to me.” Dawn said. “I love you.”
“I love you too Dawnie.” Buffy replied. She could feel the two Wiccan’s behind her smiling, what better time than now to break the other happy news to her sister. “Dawn I have some good news for you, well Willow does.”
Dawn looked a little puzzled and turned to face Willow. “What’s going on?”
Willow smiled and stepped forward her hand still firmly linked with Tara’s. “Dawn?” She began. “I hope this ok with you, but Tara and I are going to take things slow for now, but we’re girlfriends.”
“Oh my god.” Dawn squealed with delight at hearing the news, she released Kit’s hand and leapt off the bed and threw her arms around the two girls. “This is just so amazing, I love you two.”
Tara put an arm around Dawn returning the warm embrace. “Thank you Dawn, it’s new for me and I guess new to Willow.”
“This is the best news.” Dawn said excitedly, she turned to her sister and her girlfriend. “I knew it Willow and Tara you two are made for each other, this is just wonderful.”
Willow giggled. “We are happy.”
“Has there been kissing?” Dawn asked them both. “This is very important you know?”
Willow looked at her girlfriend then back to Dawn. “Yes Dawnie we’ve kissed.”
Buffy could tell that Tara was a little overwhelmed at all the fuss about her and Willow becoming a couple. She felt a little sympathy for the shy blonde girl; after all she had suddenly come into a world where she was already well loved. Seeing her though with Willow brought smile to her face, it was so good to see her there with Willow. “Tara?” She said.
Tara smiled at her. “Yes Buffy?”
“Sorry about all the fuss, it’s just...” Buffy began.
Tara reached out and put her hand on Buffy’s arm. “I I it’s ok I understand.”
“We are just really happy to see you and Willow together that’s all.” Buffy said.
“I’m very happy to b b be here.” Tara said her smile genuine and full of warmth, she turned to Willow her smile even more radiant. “I I I I’m happy to be with you Willow.”
Willow’s heart just melted at the beautiful blonde’s smile. “Tara believe me when I say I am overjoyed to be with you.” She said edge ever closer till their lips where just a barely an inch apart from each other. “Goddess.” The words escaped her lips in a whisper just as they kissed.
Buffy felt herself grinning at seeing the two girls kiss, she could see from the expression on her sister’s face that she was over the moon. Even Kit was smiling at them. “Well looks like it’s date fest 2003 here.” She said giggling.
Dawn rolled her eyes. “Aww is poor Buffy feeling left out?”
“Trust me with my dating history I’m staying single thank you.” Buffy replied. “I’ll leave the smoochies to you girls.” She stood up and walked over to the door; she turned and faced the four girls. “I’m going to make something to eat ok?”
“Sure Buffy thanks.” Dawn said, and she sat down next to Kit and smiled. Both girls could still see Willow and Tara in their own little happy bubble, totally lost to all around them as they kissed. “Kit?”
“Yes Dawn?”
“Kiss me.” Dawn said grinning, Kit wasted no time with Dawn’s request, and she cupped her cheeks and kissed the young brunette firmly on her lips.
Buffy left them alone and walked slowly down the stairs towards the kitchen; as much as she hated to admit it she was lonely. Angel, Riley then Spike, she wanted to ignore Parker as he was just a mistake. She was happy for Willow now that Tara was there, even for Dawn with this girl Kit she knew from high school, but for Buffy there was no one.
Xander although technically single was still very close to Anya, and she suspected that the two former lovers where getting closer all the time. She had seen them together lately getting closer, perhaps in time they would rekindle that spark between them. Once again Buffy would be left alone with no one to love her.
She could feel a little tear roll down her cheeks, as much as she cared for Spike deep down she knew she could never love him. In that path there lay nothing but pain and anguish, and she had been down that road to many times before.
“Maybe one day.” She whispered to herself. “Maybe.”

Night Time
It was pretty cold out tonight and Buffy had wrapped herself up nice and warm, she gazed up into the night sky, the moon was shining brightly and the sight gave the slayer a little comfort. She had waited just outside Xander’s house until Spike made his appearance from the door; she waited until he had walked a little further before she started to follow him.
“Buffy I hope you know what you’re doing here.” She said quietly to herself. “Please be wrong about him.”
Buffy still hoped that the soul that Spike had somehow won back, would at least keep him from hurting others. Shortly before she had left the house, she had asked Willow to check for missing people.
Willow looked in some distress when she told Buffy that there were a lot of missing women in Sunnydale, all around the same age as well. Mostly girls about twenty two to about twenty six, the news upset Tara who was really still only coming to terms with vampires and demons.
Buffy watched Spike as he headed towards the center of town, there was a parade going on which at least would help give her some cover. She could see the vampire just wandering about paying no attention to the people around him.
“That’s a good sign.” She thought to herself as she saw Spike pass a couple of very pretty young women. He had barely given them a glance; she held out a hope that perhaps the vampire she dusted last night was just telling lies to frame Spike.
Without warning someone bumped into her and she lost sight of him, she apologized to the young man and tried to see if she could see any sign of Spike.
“Damn it.” She cursed as he had vanished from view.
She started to walk off in the general direction that Spike had gone in to see if she could catch up to him. After a while of searching she couldn’t find him, she shook her head and sat down on a bench nearby. “Where are you Spike?” She said to no one.
Not to far away from her Spike had met up with a young woman and was talking to her, she seemed nice enough and he was just chatting to her when all of a sudden he could hear a tune around him. It sounded like something from his past, a song what was it? “Early one morning.”
Suddenly Spike grabbed the woman and he morphed into his vampire visage, the girl screamed in terror as she saw the hideous face of the creature.
Spike said nothing he pulled her head to one side and sank his fangs deep into her neck, he drank deep until moments later he dropped her body to the ground.
In front of him stood the form of Cassie Newton she just smiled and grinned at him then morphed into the form of Buffy Summers. “That’s my boy.” She said evilly.

1630 Revello Drive.
Willow was pacing up and down the dining room floor; she had a worried expression on her face. Tara came in from the kitchen and handed her a glass of milk. Willow took the glass from her and then sipped it; she set it down and looked into Tara’s eyes.
Tara spoke first. “Who was that on the phone?”
“Xander.” Willow replied. “He found something in Spike’s bedroom.”
Tara too began to look worried. “What’s wrong Willow?”
“He found a pendant from a girl and several bracelets there where names in them.” Willow said.
Tara went very pale. “Not from the missing girls were they?” She asked.
Willow nodded her head. “They were.”
“Oh god no.” Tara said. “Call Buffy?”
“I tried but the phone was busy.” Willow said. “Spike is killing again, I guess that proves it.”
“I’m she’s going to be ok.” Tara said. “What do you think she’ll do?”
Willow shook her head. “I don’t know Tara, I’m worried about her.”
Tara tried to give her a little smile she just placed her arms around the redhead’s waist and help her close. Willow buried her head in Tara’s soft blonde hair grateful for the comfort. “Don’t ever leave me.” She whispered to her softly.
Tara was puzzled by the comment but she just kissed Willow’s hair and whispered in her ear. “I won’t Willow I promise.”

Buffy put the phone away back into her pocket, her hands where shaking with fear. She had just spoken to Spike who had asked her to meet him at a house not to far from where she was. He sounded worried about something, Buffy tried to ask but he said nothing just insisted she meet him there.
It only took her about twenty minutes to reach the house, but there was no sign of Spike. She sat down on the steps and waited for him. She looked up into the sky again and saw the bright moon shining in the sky; it gave her no comfort this time. She could feel the worry building with in her; she had a bad feeling about this.
Her thoughts where interrupted as her cell phone chirped, she took the phone and saw that it was Willow calling her.
“Hey Willow.” She answered. “What’s up?”
“I spoke to Xander a little while ago.” Willow told her.
From the tone of Willow’s voice it wasn’t good news. “Will what’s going on?”
“Xander said he found items that belonged to the missing girls in Spike’s room.” Willow told her. “Buffy I I..” Willow’s voice trailed off, but she had said enough, Buffy could feel her heart sinking.
“Thanks Willow.” She said sadly.
“Buffy please be careful ok?” Willow told her.
“I will.” Buffy replied. “I’ll see you soon ok.”
Buffy closed the phone and put it back in her pocket, she looked up and down the street. Her heart jumped as she saw the familiar sight of Spike walking towards her. She stood up and waited for the platinum blonde haired vampire to reach her.
“Hello Spike.” She greeted him.
He smiled. “Hello Buffy.”
“What did you want to show me?” She asked him, getting straight down to business. “I don’t have time for games.”
“It’s no game Buffy.” He replied.
Spike opened the door to the house and walked inside, he held the door open for her and she stepped in. This worried the slayer even more as it meant the owners of the house where dead as no vampire could enter a place without permission.
“This way.” He said, and opened the door to the basement; he started down the steps and paused when he sensed that Buffy was not following him. “Buffy?”
“What’s down there?” She asked him.
Spike nodded. “Ok fine, look Buffy this morning I said I didn’t kill anyone.”
“I remember.”
“I think I did, Buffy I’m getting flashbacks of something, I remember walking a girl home.” He said.
Buffy felt a cold shiver run through her body her worst fears had come true, Spike was killing again. She slowly moved one hand behind her back and gripped the familiar feel of a stake. “Go on?”
“I think I killed her, and not just her others too.” Spike said. “I think I buried them here.”
“Oh god Spike.” Buffy said, she slowly descended the stairs to join him.
Unseen to Buffy there was someone else in the room it held the form of Buffy for a moment then changed into Spike.
The real Spike waited for Buffy to join him, he pointed to the ground. “I buried them there.”
Out of sight the second Spike started to sing a tune. “Early one morning, just as the sun was rising, I heard the fair maid sing in the valley down below. Oh, don't deceive me. Oh never leave me. How could you use a poor maid so?”
Within seconds the real Spike’s face changed into that of his vampire visage, he suddenly growled and lunged at Buffy. The move startled her and she was thrown to the ground.
“Spike no.” She screamed at him.
Spike didn’t seem to hear her he just produced a knife and swung it at her, she barely managed to avoid it in time, but it cut into her jacket and scraped her arm.
“Spike don’t do this.” Buffy pleaded with him, she was hoping to reason with him before she had to take action.
Spike said nothing and just continued to advance on her, suddenly several pairs of hands burst out from beneath her. Within moments she was surrounded by three other vampires all glaring at her.
“Oh god.” Buffy said. She reached for her stake and before the first vampire could strike she had thrust the stake deep into the girl’s chest. Seconds later she exploded into dust, Buffy quickly jumped to her feet as the other two lunged for her.
Ducking she was able to avoid them one of them however kicked out and caught her in the ribs, she went flying into a pile of sandbags. One of the vampires grabbed an axe and advanced towards her, but Buffy was ready for her. She dropped to the ground and lashed out with her feet sending the vampire to the ground; she rolled over and plunged the stake in to the heart, the vampire dusted immediately.
All through this Spike just watch her he was trying to fight off the sound in his head but it got louder and louder. The image of Spike sitting on the stairs continued to hum the tune. Both of them watched as the slayer faced off with the one remaining vampire.
“See Spike they have made her weak she is almost ready for you to taste her.” The image of himself taunted him. “Take her.”
The other female vampire was still too slow for Buffy, despite landing a good punch on Buffy’s jaw she was no match for the slayer. With an elbow to the face the vampire went down, Buffy drove the stake into her chest and she too was dust.
She turned around in time to see Spike rushing towards her, his fangs bared and the knife in his hand. He was too fast in seconds he was upon her and he sank his fangs into Buffy’s neck and began to drink.
Suddenly he broke free as he tasted her blood, the images of all the victims flashed through his mind. “Oh god no.” He screamed out loud.
Buffy still in shock brought up her stake and pointed it at Spike she was ready to strike it deep into his heart.
“Oh god I’m a bad man, I hurt the girls.” Spike said whimpering.
“Spike what’s going on.” Buffy said her stake still at the ready.
“I remember Buffy I remember it all, I killed them every one of them they died at my hands.” He said. “Buffy you have to help me stop the voices please.”
“Spike what how can I help you?” Buffy asked him, her voice shaking with fear.
“You have to stop me Buffy before I kill again.” He said. “Buffy you have to kill me.”
Spike’s vampire face morphed back into his human features, he slowly walked towards her. Buffy still wary kept the stake at the ready; she wasn’t just ready yet to believe him.
“Buffy please help me.” Spike pleaded with her.
“I’ll help you.” Buffy said and lowered the stake. “I think something else is going on here.”
The second Spike glared at them both evilly this was not what was supposed to happened. Spike should have either killed the slayer or she would have killed him, but this was not the right way.
Spike walked up to Buffy and smiled. “I’m sorry Buffy, I’m really sorry.” He said.
Buffy looked up into his eyes and saw his pain. “It’s ok we can help you Spike.”
Spike nodded his head and reached down to take both of her hands. “I know.”
In the background the other Spike began to sing again the same tune, Buffy thought she could almost here something, but she wanted to get out of here fast. She was about to turn away and lead him back upstairs when she felt his arm grabbing hers.
“Spike what are you doing.” Buffy looked on in shock.
Spike gave her a kiss on her forehead and then smiled his face suddenly changed into that of his vampire self. He lunged for her again total evil in his eyes. Buffy reacted instantly she brought up the stake and then plunged deep into his chest.
“Spike!” Buffy screamed in tears as his features slowly became serene and calm, he smiled just as he crumbled and turned to dust around her. Buffy just collapsed to the ground tears streaming down her face.
In the background the other Spike watched on and grinned in glee. “Ok one down, four to go.” Then the image vanished leaving Buffy alone in the basement of the house.

An hour or so later
1630 Revello Drive.
Willow sat in the sofa with Tara’s head resting against hers; they had stayed up waiting for Buffy to return. Willow was nervous and desperately wanted to call her best friend. Tara wished she could do something to relieve the worry from her new girlfriend. So she just wrapped an arm around her waist and gave her a little of her own strength.
“I’m sure she’s ok Willow.” Tara said softly.
Willow just let out a little sigh. “I hope so Tara.”
They sat up and looked into each others eyes, Willow gazed into Tara’s sapphire blue eyes and saw the familiar warmth and comfort that only Tara could give. Willow felt a little peace as she saw the gently smile on her face.
“Thank you Tara.” Willow said her voice quiet.
“What for Willow?” Tara asked her.
“Just being here with me.” Willow said and kissed her gently on the lips. At least with you around I feel a lot happier.”
Tara was still getting used to thinking about Willow as her girlfriend, just a few days ago the idea of her going out with someone so beautiful was nothing more than a fanciful dream. Now it was reality, Willow was her girlfriend and she had never felt so happy in all her life.
“Willow I like being around you.” Tara told her. “You’re very special Willow, I really care about you.”
Willow broke into a smile and again their lips met in a passionate kiss, both girls drawing a little comfort and strength from each other as they kissed.
They where interrupted by the sound of the door opening, they turned to see Buffy walking in the door. Willow breathed a sigh of relief to see that she was ok. That changed in a moment as both Willow and Tara could tell that something was very wrong.
Buffy shut the door behind and walked into the lounge her face was wet with tears. She said nothing and then fell down to the floor and began to sob.
“Oh god Buffy.” Willow said, and broke from Tara’s embrace and rushed to her best friend’s side. “Buffy what’s wrong? Are you ok?”
Tara too joined them on the floor; she didn’t know what to say so she placed her hand on Buffy’s shoulder. She glanced at Willow who briefly turned to face her, they gave each other a little look of encouragement then Willow turned back to her best friend.
“Buffy?” Willow asked again.
“Spike.” Buffy answered her. “It’s Spike.”
“Buffy what happened?” Willow pleaded with her to tell her.
“I killed him.” Buffy replied. “He attacked me, I I had no choice I had to do it.” Buffy said and began to cry again.
“Oh god Buffy.” Willow said as she held her friend close. “I’m so sorry.”
“Willow what happens now?” Buffy said. “I always hoped he would be there with us to help fight this.”
“I don’t know Buffy but somehow we’ll find a way, we always do.” Willow said softly. “Come on Buffy lets get you upstairs to bed.” She turned to her girlfriend. “Can you give me hand?”
“Sure.” Tara said and gently took one of Buffy’s arms.
“Thanks Willow.” Buffy said, through her red rimmed eyes.
Together Willow and Tara managed to get Buffy to her room; they waited outside while she undressed and then when Buffy said it was ok they came in and sat down on the bed beside her.
Buffy had gotten into her bed and she just sat there holding a pillow close to her chest. “Thanks you two, I’ll be ok I promise.”
“I know Buffy.” Willow said and kissed her cheek. “If you need anything you know where we are.”
“I know.” Buffy said.
The slayer felt a little peace knowing that her best friend was there, and with Tara around too she felt a little hope that things would in the end work ok. Looking at the shy blonde Wiccan she felt that her arrival was perfectly timed, she was here at the moment when a battle was looming, and when Willow needed her most.
Buffy knew that with Willow beginning to heal and Tara by her side they had two weapons in the coming battle.
“Buffy sorry I have to ask but do you love him?” Willow asked her.
Buffy looked into Willow’s green eyes and smiled. “No, no I didn’t.” She paused for a moment. “Willow I’m fine really, a little sad but I’m ok really.”
“Ok Buffy.” Willow said.
“I think we should all get some sleep ok.” Buffy said. “I think we have a lot to think about tomorrow and I need you two now more than ever.”
“We’re with you Buffy.” Willow said smiling and she hugged her best friend closer to her. “I love you Buffy.”
“I love you too Willow.” Buffy said returning the hug. She turned to Tara who was feeling a little bit of an outsider still, although she was new Buffy still felt as though the shy girl was still a part of her family. “Tara?”
“Y y yes Buffy.” Tara said.
“Welcome to the family Tara.” Buffy said breaking her hold on Willow and embracing the surprised Wiccan, the slayer was glad when she felt Tara return the hug.
“Thank you.” Tara said. “I I I’m really happy to be here.”
Willow felt a glowing pride in her girlfriend; she took a hold of Tara’s hand and gave it a little squeeze. “Ok I think it’s time we got some rest.”
Tara nodded and faced Buffy again. “A a a are you sure you’re ok Buffy?”
Touched by her concern Buffy just smiled. “I am Tara, goodnight ok.” She then faced her friend. “Goodnight Willow.”
“Goodnight Buffy.” Willow said and kissed her friend again on the top of her head.
“Night Buffy.” Tara echoed.
The two Wiccan’s got up and slowly left the room once more leaving Buffy alone, Buffy watched them go and then sank back onto her bed still holding the pillow close. She stared at the ceiling for a moment then closed her eyes. “Goodbye Spike.” She whispered and then gently fell asleep; hoping that tomorrow would be a better day.
