Ode To The Fanfic Writer

There is an abundance of incredible fanfic here and I have to admit to currenly being totally addicted. So in between waiting for updates, I have written (and rhymed quite badly) an ode .
Disclaimer- naturally the author names, story names & stories etc do not belong to me. The coining of the term mitten is by Lisa of Nine (I do hope its ok to use it below)
If anyone else wants to add more verses please feel free.

Ode to the fanfic writers

Glory, glory hail & Glory,
Lisarificus is still writing her story.
She was to stop at 21
but we're at 29 and she's not yet done.
Your humble mittens await your next chapter
and we really do hope that nothing's the matter.
This amazing story is epic and engrossing and if you start reading
Trust me when I say this to you
You will be very familiar with a certain haiku!

Wiccachica has given us the late shift .
A story filled with twinkies,tattoos and a temporal drift.
Its laugh out loud funny and borderline camp.
Its just the recent cliffhangers have left me verklempt!

Reunited is Canadiankitten's.
Its so good she deserves her own 'mittens'.
There's Willow in peril and Tara to the rescue.
What more do you need, go read it - I tell you

Sassette has written Anwsering Darkness.
Its filled with angst and relationship goodness.
Please Sassette don't leave us hanging
we need more smochies and NC-17 rating.

Mariacomet's Legends of the Kiss is almost finished .
A tale of sacrifce, acceptance and awaiting a kiss.
This story unfolds with pleasure and grace.
It's ending should put a smile on your face!

Series Six belongs to the wonderful Pezzky.
Each episode's so good, it should be on TV.
But please pezzky for my poor heart's sake,
don't give Willow & Tara such a long break.

Please fanfic writers its now up to you. Oh please, oh please you know what to do. This is now all that I have written so update your stories for all your poor mittens.

Awesome! LOL! My goodness the things that come out of our keyboards when we're waiting for more fic - haikus, songs, threats to break fellow kitties' kneecaps, and now odes! I'm totally with you Jomarch in your addiction - as evidenced by my posting at all hours and my bastardization of Barbra Streisand. But, you know, we have to keep these writers happy and loved so we get more fic!

That was great! There is such an abundance of good fic out there that I can't get through it! Besides having to (still) avoid some due to spoilers... allow me to take this chance to apologise again to people I appear to be ignoring... I'm not. I agree with everything in this Ode... Wow. Now that's the best kind of feedback a gal can ask for. Although i feel my bit-o-fluffy angst isn't nearly good enough to share company with the other stories you've mentioned. But I'm very glad you enjoyed it so much.

you even got the muse to come out of her self involved world for 10 seconds and snort her approval. I think she likes you.

I got mentioned in an ode! does this mean my rise to stardom has begun?

wow, thanks everyone.
Trust me, writing this probably saved my refresh key from getting hit continuosly to see if there were any new updates. And if anyone else wants to add verses about other great stories, please do so. It is totally cathartic and sort of like therapy.

This is my contribution to the new kitten board fanfic anonymous group...I'm working on the name :-). It's where poor mittens go when they are going through withdrawal symptoms from not getting an update.

PS Canadiankitty - Your story definitely rocked. So if you nice muse liked this ode, can we get another story, please. I promise to write the muse another verse!
