Summary: Willow and Tara have a lazy day and remember.

“Mmmm, I love days like these.” Tara said as she stretched out on the blanket that she and Willow were laying on. It was a wonderfully beautiful day. The sun was shinning bright and there was a light breeze in the air.
“Yeah, I think that this picnic was a great idea.” Willow answered as she rolled over to look at Tara.
Tara smiled at her lover and then leaned over and kissed Willow softly on the lips. “Mmmm. That was the perfect dessert too.” The redhead just laughed at this.
“Well lets see: we ate, we tanned, we kissed. Anything else on the agenda for the day my love?” Willow was enjoying doing nothing all day.
“No, that’s pretty much it.” Tara smiled at her girlfriend. They had been together for just about five months now and each day was better than the one before the last. So many things had happened in this short time. She was just glad that it had all worked out.
At this same time Willow was thinking along the same lines. She thought herself the luckiest woman in the world. So many things had gone wrong. The first of which was that Oz had shown up to win her back. When she had told him that she was in love with Tara, he wolfed out and started to chase the two down the hall. Luckily for them Buffy was on her way to find the two witches. Buffy tackled Oz to the ground and knocked him out. Then they locked him up until he calmed down. He left afterwards and said he wasn’t sure if he’d ever return.
After that Tara’s so called “family” had shown up to take her to her so called “home”. She had runaway from that house and from their abuse and had hoped to never be found. When the Scoobies had come looking for Tara in her and Willow’s dorm room they found her “father” and “brother”, I use the terms loosely, beating on Tara. Buffy and the rest of the Scoobies stepped in to pull them off. After making sure that Tara was okay, Willow went right up to Tara’s so called “father” and slapped him right a crossed the face as hard as she could. He stood there in place shocked. Then she said in a calm but deadly threatening voice,
“If you ever come near her again I’ll kill you myself! Do you understand?” All he could do was nod. Then the Scoobies took and disposed of them and sent them packing.
Tara spent three hellish days in the hospital for that. After she got out it had been wonderful since. The occasional vampire attack or such, but nothing her real family couldn’t handle.
Tara looked over to Willow and saw the concentrated look on her face. “Hey honey, what’s wrong?”
“Oh nothing. Just busy up here.” Willow answered with a smile. She loved this part. This is when the round about game started.
“Busy huh? Anything I can do to slow things down a bit?” the blonde asked with a smirk. She knew what Willow was after.
“Um, don’t know, is there?” Willow smiled over at Tara as she inched her way up towards her.
“I don’t know, let me see. How about……….this?” Tara asked right before she kissed the redhead. The kiss started slow but built with the need they had for one another. When they finally pulled back it was for air only. They left a trail of kisses, as they slowly pulled apart.
“Mmmm, honey we have to make sure we don’t get to caught up in the fun here.” Tara said sadly to her redheaded lover.
“And give me one good reason why not!” Willow gave the blonde a pout that could melt an iceberg.
“Because, we promised that we would be over at Buffy’s tonight for Scooby movie night. Plus, it is our turn to bring the movies,” the blonde witch answered.
“Fine, it isn’t a good reason but it is a reason.” Willow knew she would never win this. “So what time do we have to be there by?”
“Around seven o’clock or so. We are doing it before patrol so Dawnie can watch too. The rest of us can do watch more later on after patrol if we want to. Oh and don’t forget we said that we’d stay over tonight.” Tara knew that the redhead was going to be grumpy now.
“Humpf, fine.” Then a little light bulb went off over the redhead’s head and her face lit up. “You said seven, well it is four now. That gives us three hours to kill. Lets go back to the room.”
Tara laughed when Willow yanked her up and through everything into the picnic basket. Then she grabbed the basket in one hand and Tara’s hand in the other and started back to the room.

When they hit the room Tara barely got the door open and closed before Willow was on her. Kissing her hungrily. You would have thought that they hadn’t been together for weeks instead of a few hours.
“Baby…honey…Willow! You have to slow down.” Tara laughed.
“Don’t want to. Want…You…Now!” Willow said and then went right back to Tara’s neck and began to suck on the pulse point.
“Well, if you slow down it will be more fun. We can slowly strip each other and explore along the way.” Tara smiled. She knew that she had Willow. She couldn’t resist undressing Tara and loved to have Tara undress her, and then to kiss the skin that had just been uncovered.
“Okay. I’ll even put on the radio so that only I can hear you scream.” The hacker walked over and grabbed a CD from the stacks and put it in the stereo. Then she found the song she was looking for and walked back to the blonde.
“May I have this dance m’lady?” Willow asked with a bow.
“You goof!” Tara laughed. “I would love to dance with you.”
Then Amazed by Lonestar came on and they slowly swayed to the music.

By the time the song came to an end the girls were kissing and were running their hands through each other’s hair. They had tears running down their faces. They pulled back and wiped away the tears and started to kiss again. They slowly started to make their way to the bed. They lay there kissing and then started to undress each other leaving trails of kiss where their hands pass. When they were both fully naked they sat there for a moment looking at each other. Lost in the beauty that was the other’s body.
“I love you so much!” Tara said.
“Not as much as I love you.” Willow responded.
They lay there in that bed for the next two hours and made love. It was slow and unrushed. They both just enjoyed the feel of the other while being inside each other and having the other in side them. They felt like they were the only two in the world.

“Will, honey?” Tara asked to see if the redhead was awake.
“Mmmm, yeah baby.” Willow said then lend up and kissed Tara.
“Ah, we have to get going or we’ll be late. I don’t want to have to explain why we’re late, again.” The blonde laughed the last word.
“As I recall, last time we were late, it wasn’t my fault.” Willow smirked and looked at Tara with a knowing smile.
“Yes, but you tried to explain.” Tara shook her head and laughed at the memory. I still don’t believe they bought the whole ‘Miss Kitty got out and we had to run her down’ story.”
“Oh they didn’t.” Willow said. “They just let it go because they really didn’t want to know what we had been doing. Didn’t want to think about it all night, you know.”
Tara’s face turned five shades of red. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Didn’t think you needed to know. Didn’t want to embarrass you.” Willow gave an innocent little smile.
“Lets get ready. There will be NO excuses tonight!” Tara glared at Willow and tried not to laugh.

At about 7:30 that night the girls had shown up at Buffy’s house with movies. Ready for a night of fun.
Buffy answered the door. “You guys look good and you’re here on time. What happened? Tara did you tell Willow that she got no love snuggles just to make it here on time? I’m touched.” Buffy wiped away a fake tear and put her hand over her heart.
Willow looked at Tara as they both started to blush heavily. They were shocked, Buffy just shrugged.
“What? It was either I get you good privately now or let Anya go later. Now when she starts you have already had worst. Oh, and I don’t need an answer. This is just my warning. Anya has sex on the brain worst than ever tonight.” She then hugged the girls and led them to the living room.
“Great, just what I needed.” Willow said sarcastically.
“Love, calm down. It can’t be too bad. I’ll handle it if it gets to bad.” Tara always had a way of calming the redhead down.
The two girls following the slayer back into the living room and sat down to start movie night. They handed Dawn the movies to choose which she wanted to watch first. As they figured she picked ‘The Craft’. The girls liked this movie even after seeing it a dozen times. The added bonus of this fact being that the girls could snuggle during it.
“Hey Buff, when is your honey going to show up?” Xander asked when he noticed that Buffy was at a lack of snuggle partner.
“In a little, had to stop and pick something up.” Buffy answered with a smile.
“Does it have to do with sex?” Anya asked.
“What no, no. Why would you say that?” Buffy spit out at the ex-demon
“Because, that is the code that sex stuff is being bought.” Anya stated matter-of-factly.
“An hon, lets not get the slayer mad.” Xander stepped in.
This whole time Dawn and the lovers had been watching the vein in the slayers neck strain.
“Lets just watch the movie.” Tara tried to calm everyone before something happened, ever the peacemaker.
“Yeah. The movie.” Dawn said jumping off the floor and sat next to Buffy to calm her down.
“Fine.” Both Buffy and Anya said.
They all turned to the TV and started to watch. Willow reached over to turn the light off for effect. Then turned back and snuggled up to Tara. As the movie went on things calmed more. Suddenly, Tara heard the door open and close very quietly. When she saw the figure she smiled. The figure just smiled back and gave her the ‘shhh’ sign. Then snuck up behind Buffy and lend over and licked the back of her neck. The slayer jumped ready to fight. Then she saw who it was.
“Faith, what do you think your doing. You scared me. Thought you were dangerous.” Buffy laughed.
“Hey B., I am dangerous.” Faith smirked and wriggled her eyebrows.
“Yeah, you are.” Buffy giggled as she hugged Faith close and kissed her.
Faith had shown up a month ago just after Riley had left. He and Buffy broke up after she realized that he could never be the one that she loved. It just wasn’t there. When Faith had come into town everyone was so happy to see her. Last time they had seen her she had taken off to help Angle in L.A. and they hadn’t seen her since. It had been almost a year to date. Buffy and Faith had always had feeling for one another but had never admitted to them. Then one night after patrolling, they got into a scrap and Faith almost got bit by a vamp. After Buffy saved her Faith looked at her and just had to do something. She grabbed the blonde slayer and kissed her good and hard on the lips. After a second Buffy responded. Ever since that night they have been a couple. All the Scoobies welcomed Faith into the family with opened arms. They were happy that she was home already but the added fact that she made Buffy so happy was the kicker.
The two slayers had a slight make-out session going on until Dawn spoke up. “Hey guys, get a room already would ya!” she groaned at seeing her sister making-out.
“Not a bad idea squirt. What do you say B.?” Faith asked.
“No, if we can’t, you can’t!” Anya spoke up at this.
“Fine. We have to go patrol in a bit any way.” Buffy answered.
“Kay B., lets head out and get with the slayage.” The brunette slayer had that itch to kill some vamps.
“Ok, Xander, Anya, you guys staying the night or heading home?” Buffy asked while putting her coat on.
“We’re going to head home. I have wok in the morning.” Xander answered.
“Yes, and we want to have lots of sex.” Anya said in her usually blunt way. One day she really would learn when enough was enough.
“Girls, you’re staying right?” Faith asked.
“Yeah we are.” Willow answered.
“Great. Well Red, Blondie, we should be back in an hour or so. See ya then.” With that the two slayers walked out the door to go patrol.
Ok, Dawnie I think it is time for bed. You have school in the morning.” Tara said in a very motherly voice.
Dawn was about to put up a fight but decided against it. Since her mother was out of town Tara and Willow were the only ones left that treated her like a grown up. “Kay, night Tara, night Willow.” She hugged both women and headed up to bed.
“So what do you want to do now?” the redhead had an idea but decided it was Tara’s turn to pick.
Tara knew what Willow wanted and who was she to let her down. “Well I was thinking you could take me to bed.”
“Ahh, yes ma’am.” Willow hopped up and helped Tara up and then they headed up to the room they used when they stayed the night.
“I love you.” Tara breathed out.
“I love you too.” Willow answered. “I really like lazy days like these. We should have more of them.” Tara shook her head in agreement. She had had a wonderful day with her lover.
“Yeah. Now lets finish off this lazy day in bed.” Willow gave her girlfriend a wink and then stared to kiss her.

The two witches spent the rest of the night making love. They took a break once around one a.m. when they heard Buffy and Faith come in. They wanted to make sure that they were alright. The two slayers were covered in dirt. They had encountered a huge demon on their way home. The fight was long and rough but in the end the slayers won out.
When they were assured everything was fine and that the slayers were both okay the two witched followed the slayers up to their respective rooms and said their goodnights. Then the two couples went to bed.
None of the four were seen until late the next morning, and when they were seen they had huge smiles that couldn’t be wiped off of their faces.
When sleep had finally come to the two couples, after hours of lovemaking and more hours of talking and kissing, both couples found themselves wrapped in the arms of their lover. It was the only place in any and all worlds they wanted to be. It was home, it was safe, and it was filled with ever-lasting love.
In the background from some where a song could be heard by the four. “I’ll Be by Reba McEntire. They all knew the lyrics were true.
