*

She had returned to consciousness with a suddenness which continued to surprise her after many years of practice. It was still dark outside, the only light in the room coming from the alarm clock as it counted away the seconds of her existence...

Snuggled beneath the quilt with her lover, all she could feel was the comforting weight lying just below her breasts,a slim thigh draped over the calf of her leg;the arm curled round her waist...Her last memory was of the both of them going to bed last night.

They had not made love, just exchanged some smoochies and settled down to sleep, cuddled together like any couple who had been together for a time...

Now she was awake, and for some reason thinking about her life, and how she had journeyed to reach this point.

Somebody had supposedly said that Life was an adventure.Well they'd been right...

She'd managed to survive HighSchool, which was possibly the whole point, and now she had just graduated from UC Sunnydale,a little middle-league college situated not more than 5 miles from a Hellmouth. Her life had changed enormously in the last few years, branched out in totally unexpected directions...

She now had more friends than she had ever had previously. She even knew some people in LA...Little old her-she knew some people in the Big City, admittedly some of them were UnDead, but that wasn't really relevant, was it?

She was known from The Roof of The World to the Low Countries. Her Name was known and respected, and yes, sometimes feared;from Washington to Paris, from London to NewYork...

She had helped to broker the Restoration of Rights...

She knew two Slayers...

She had met and married the most wonderful woman in the world, who, even as she thought about her was beginning to stir within her arms...

Feeling the tip of a talented tongue move over her belly in a good morning lick, she raised her head and gazed down at just opened eyes which now searched to connect with her own...

"Willow...?"

"MmHm?"

"I love you..."

Complete.The End.

Oooh Lucy, that will do very nicely indeed. Loved this bit:

"Snuggled beneath the quilt with her lover, all she could feel was the comforting weight lying just below her breasts,a slim thigh draped over the calf of her leg;the arm curled round her waist..."

Nothing very special about that line (anymore than the rest) but for some reason it touched me deeply.

Great!

I liked this.

It fits into my personal belief system that Tara and Willow will live happily ever after!

Very sweet. There's an innocence about this fic that really tugs at my heartstrings. And the retrospective of a waking Willow is just delightful. Thanks.

Kitties are certainly the best... how long have I been saying it?*S*

Why is it Lucy that I suspect a fic titled "Bloodbath" is unlikely to be quite the warm, fuzzy, nice, lovely, romantic, happy, joyful place that this one was?*S*

Ahh well I am certainly not one to complain about that. Looking forward to it already. BTW is Bloodbath a solo work for you too?

More Feedback? This is truly amazing !

Postby Lucy Moore » Fri Apr 12, 2002 3:20 pm

Well...I'm glad that the kitties are still liking this small effort on my part...

As for BloodBath...I'm halfway through 'blocking' it out and hope to have the first part 'edited' by the end of the week-(Damn Shift-work)-As for warm and fuzzy,we'll see...

Katharyn (you're right!) - A Solo work? Only if I ignore a certain young Female who insists on leaning on my shoulder and saying "You can't do *that!*"... Ah well,I just say "Go away! Finish editing your own first!" Isn't domestic bliss grand...

Thanx again everbody !

My own "other" is absolutely disinterested in the time-consuming writing thing (except that it keeps me out of trouble when she is not there) and just looks at the final product...

I am not sure which is better... but hey it's why we love 'em!

Looking forward to "Bloodbath"

Now this was such a wonderful short story. So sweet and innocent and warm. I love the adoration evident in your words.
