Hey guys, new story. This one might be a long one. It’s supposed to be like the butterfly effect but a little (very little) different. It might be a little confusing in the beginning but it will all add up. This whole chapter is just about a little Willow and the next one, she will be a teenager! So just wait. The *FLASHES* are the blackouts. Think Restless when Xander kept going from one place to another. That’s what Willow’s doing except she doesn’t remember anything. So here it goes. Enjoy!

Title: The Butterfly Effect: Sunnydale Style
Author: iloveamber
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Life is great... but not for Willow Rosenberg.
Note: There are no vampires or anything like that. This is totally AU. So enjoy!

Boston, Massachussetts.

It was a bright sunny day and seven-year old Willow was outside playing with her dog Amber. Meanwhile, her mom was outside trying to start the car.

“Come on Mom! I’m going to be late!” Willow whined.

“I almost have it. You seem more excited than usual for school. Why is that?” Sheila Rosenberg asked her daughter.

“Today, we’re setting up the room for parent’s night. You’ll get to see my drawing of us.” Willow smiled.

“Don’t worry. You’ll be on time.” Sheila smiled.

“Is dad going to come?” Willow asked.

Sheila froze at the mention of her husband, looked to Willow and said “You already know the answer to that Willow.”

“But can’t he come out just for one day?” Willow pleaded.

“We’ve already talked about this sweetie.” Sheila told her daughter. “It’s too dangerous for him.”

“Yeah but everyone else’s dad is coming. And Donny and Tara’s dad.” Willow said.

“I know but… Come on, I’m not so bad am I?” Sheila asked her.

“No.” Willow said defeated.

“Come on or you’ll be late.” Sheila said.

Once Sheila stopped the car and Willow got out, she yelled “Have a good day at school dear!”

She looked out her window and saw Willow’s teacher standing there.

“Oh, Mrs. Brewster, hello.” Sheila said politely.

“Hello Mrs. Rosenberg, do you have a minute?” the teacher asked.

“Well, actually, I’m going to be late for work.” Sheila said, looking at her watch.

“It’ll just take a minute.” The teacher said.

Once in the classroom, the teacher led Sheila to her desk.

“Now Mrs. Rosenberg, yesterday I gave the class an assignment. It was to draw whatever they wanted to be when they grew up. Now, most kids drew what their parents did. But Willow…” she said trailing off. “Well, I think you should see for yourself.” She said handing her the picture.

Sheila looked at the picture and it revealed Willow, standing on dead bodies, holding a bloody knife.

“Oh my.” Sheila exclaimed. “Willow did this?” she asked then looked to Willow.

Willow just looked at her mother with an innocent smile.

“Yes and this drawing really scared me. I just felt like you should see it.” Mrs. Brewster said. “Another thing I wanted to bring up with you is that when I asked Willow about the drawing, she said she couldn’t remember doing it.”

Sheila just frowned at her daughter.

Trenton Institution…

Sheila and her daughter were walking up the steps to this big building. Willow stopped and said “Mom, do I have to come here?”

“I told you this was something important that we had to do Willow.” Sheila said.

“But mom, I don’t want to be here. Can we just go home? I promise I won’t draw anymore bad pictures. Please, let’s just go home.” Willow begged.

“Don’t worry Willow. You’ll be fine; they’re just going to do a few tests. They might actually be fun.” Sheila said, trying to lighten the mood.

Inside…

Willow was lying on a table and she was being pulled in by the machine. Willow just watched as a big white camera floated around her head and took pictures.

Behind the glass, the doctor and Sheila were looking at the pictures of Willow’s brain.

“Please, tell me she hasn’t inherited her father’s illness.” Sheila begged the doctor.

“I’m sure the test results will come back negative.” The doctor said. “But there is something you can do to help her remember things.

“What?” Sheila asked.

“A journal. Just have her write down everything she does.” The doctor said.

“And what will that do?’ Sheila asked him.

“It could help jog her memory or help her remember new things the next day.” The doctor said. “The tests won’t come until a couple of days. By then, we’ll know for sure.”

Willow’s house…

Sheila is cleaning up the kitchen while Willow is sitting at the table, writing in her journal.

Today mommy is taking me to Tara and Donny’s house to play. I will meet their father and see what a real dad is like.

Sheila then left the kitchen to get her coat. When she came back, Willow stood in the doorway, holding a knife.

Sheila gasped “Willow, what are you doing with that knife?”

Willow blinked a few times and dropped the knife.

“What happened?” Willow asked her mom.

Sheila grabs her daughter’s shoulders and asked “Willow, what were you doing with that knife?”

“I-I don’t remember.” Willow answered honestly.

Sheila just hugged her daughter.

They slowly drove up to Donny and Tara’s house.

Donald Maclay came rushing out and opened Willow’s door.

“Hey there, little girl!” he said, excitedly. “Hi Sheila!” he greeted.

“Hi Donald.” Sheila greeted back. “Thank you for watching Willow today.” She said while writing on a pad of paper. “Here’s my number for work in case there are any problems and can you please keep an eye on her because…

“Are you kidding? We’re going to have a great time today, right Willow?” Donald said, grabbing the piece of paper and putting it in his pocket.

Willow nodded enthusiastically.

“Okay, well you be good today for Mr. Maclay, okay? I love you.” Sheila said, hugged Willow then left.

“Hey Willow. You like to play a little football? Go long!” Donald yelled then threw the football to Willow.

Willow ran into the backyard and caught it but threw it on the ground when she saw Tara and Donny.

Willow walked up to them in confusion because they were in costumes.

“Willow, Willow, guess what! Daddy got a new camera and we’re going to make a movie!” Tara yelled.

“That’s right Willow. And you get to be the star of this film.” Donald said.

“I thought I was the star!” Donny whined.

“Hey, what did I tell you?” Donald whispered angrily to Donny.

Donald knelt down to Willow and said “Now Willow, you have to promise your bestest super duper promise, that this will be our little secret. You think you can do that?”

Willow nodded, smiling hugely.

*FLASH*

A big light was shining in Willow’s face and Willow tried to cover her eyes from the brightness. After a few seconds, she realized that there was a light on the camera. Confused about where she was, she asked “Where am I?”

“Calm down kid.” Donald said from behind the camera.

Realizing she was naked, she grabbed her clothes off of the ground “I was just somewhere else. How did I get here?” Willow asked, looking around the basement.

“Quite acting like some damn retard or I’ll call your mother and tell her what a naughty little shit you’re being.” Donald said, drinking some of his alcohol. Willow just looked into his eyes and she was sure that she saw evil in them.

She looked to her right and saw Tara, standing naked too, and staring off into space.

“Tara.” Willow said. “Tara, what happened?”

Tara just stood there, not moving. Not even blinking. She couldn’t believe her dad made them do what they just did.

In back of them, on the stairs, Donny was sitting there twisting a doll’s head back and forth. He just looked at Willow evilly.

Trenton Institution…

The doctor and Sheila re looking at Willow’s test results.

“Well, the good news is that she hasn’t inherited her father’s illness.” The doctor informed. “I found nothing. No hemorrhages or tumors or anything dangerous.”

“There must be something that’s causing all of this.” Sheila said.

“My guess is that the blackouts are stress related.” The doctor said.

“Stress?” Sheila asked him. “What kind of stress can a seven-year old have?”

“Plenty.” The doctor said. “Maybe she isn’t fitting in at school or she’s having trouble dealing about the fact that she doesn’t have a father figure around.”

“She has been pushing me to meet her father.” Sheila said, lowering her head.

“It’s worth a shot Sheila.” The doctor said.

Sheila and Willow are on the road and Willow was writing in her journal.

Today I get to meet my father. His name is Ira and he’s crazy. I hope he let’s me call him dad.

They drove past a sign that said Trenton Institution Psychiatric Hospital.

Willow, Sheila and the doctor are walking in the hall.

“My dad lives here?” Willow asked, suddenly feeling nervous.

“Uh, not in this wing. You’ll get to meet your dad in a few minutes. And if he seems sleepy, it’s because of his medicine, okay?” the doctor said.

Willow just nodded then was led into a white room that had a table and two chairs. One on each opposite side.

Willow just waited until she saw a shadowy figure pass by the door. The door then opened and two doctors led a man in. They checked the restraints on his hands and sat him in the chair.

Willow didn’t know what to say to this man. She didn’t know how to react.

It was silent until he spoke up “It’s okay, I won’t bite. So you’re Willow. My daughter.”

Willow nodded and said “Mom says I have your smile. And your hair and-

*FLASH*

Ira was on top of Willow, choking her with all of his might. Willow didn’t know what happened.

Sheila opened the door and ran in yelling “No! Ira, stop!”

Doctors came and grabbed him off of her.

“She’s got to die! It’s the only way to stop it!” Ira yelled. “She has to die!”

“Ira! Stop it!” Sheila yelled, while holding Willow close to her.

Doctors then hit him in the head and Ira fell to the floor.

Willow and Sheila just looked at Ira lying on the floor unconscious and bleeding to death.

“Get his family out of here.” The doctor ordered.

Sheila and Willow were standing in front of the casket while it was being lowered in the ground. Sheila was crying but Willow just looked depressed.

Tara came from behind and reached out for Willow’s hand.

Willow turned and saw Tara there and grabbed her hand for support. Tara just smiled at her and Willow returned it.

On the drive home, Tara was just sitting in the backseat looking down, not wanting to meet anyone’s gaze.

Sheila kept stealing glances at Willow and felt horrible for what Willow is going through.

Willow just ignored everyone in the car and kept looking out her window, realizing that she will now never have a father or even know who he was.

Damn dude.. this is as creepy as the movie... In a good, entertaining type way!

I loved the movie, and I can totally see this all played out in my head.. So I, too, am curious to see how you get the girls together and have (hopefully) a happy ending.

Can't wait to read the next bit :)

Hey guys. The beginning may sound familiar, then I added something I made up, then it goes to the movie again. This story will be off and on. I’ll steal ideas and I’ll make ideas. Plus, there WILL be a happy ending, I promise you. I’m not taking the sad ending from the movie so you can all relax. Also, I NEED feedback people. It’s what keeps me writing. So enjoy!

Six Years Later…

Willow, Tara and Donny were in the Maclay’s basement sitting on the couch, smoking.

Donny was looking at a Penthouse Magazine while Willow was drawing a portrait of Tara in her composition book.

Willow signaled to Tara that she was done and Tara got a cigarette from Donny’s pack, which Willow lit with her lighter.

“God, I’m so fucking bored!” Donny exclaimed. “It’s the summer. We should be out having fun, causing mischief!”

“Big word for you.” Willow said, laughing.

“Shut up!” Donny said then resumed back to his nude pictures.

“We sh-sh-should go.” Tara said, looking at the Donny’s magazine. Seeing that magazine in the basement reminded her of what her dad made her do with Willow six years ago. This was the reason why she thought she started stuttering.

“Why? Go where?” Donny asked.

“I d-don’t know. Somewhere. If dad catches us s-s-smoking down here, we’re dead.” Tara said, making up an excuse.

“Then let’s go!” Willow said enthusiastically. “Oh but hold on, I’ve got to call my mom.” She said, taking out her cell phone.

“You have to tell your mom everywhere you go?” Donny asked.

“In case I have one of my blackouts and I get lost.” Willow said. “She just gets worried.”

“Alright, let’s go to the gas station and get some chips.” Donny said then Willow hung up her cell phone.

“Okay, she knows we’re going to the gas station.” Willow said.

They walked upstairs, past the living room until Donald Maclay saw them.

“Where are you kids going?” Donald asked, obviously drunk.

“Uh, we-we’re just going to the gas s-s-station dad.” Tara said, not wanting to upset him.

“Good, pick me up some beer why don’t you.” Donald slurred.

“B-but dad, we’re not old enough.” Tara said.

“What did you say to me?” Donald yelled.

“Uh, yeah, we’ll get it for you dad.” Donny said then pushed Willow and Tara out the door.

Donald just shrugged it off and went back to watching T.V.

“What did I tell you about pissing him off when he’s drunk?” Donny said, grabbing Tara’s arm.

“I-I’m s-s-s-sorry. I d-didn’t mean to.” Tara said.

“Hey! Let go of her, what are you doing?” Willow said, pushing Donny away from Tara.

“Sorry, I do have dad’s genes you know.” Donny said. “Come on, let’s go, I’m getting hungry.

They started walking away from the house and after a couple of minutes, Donny was walking ahead of them. He noticed that his sister and her redheaded friend weren’t nearby him. He looked behind him and saw them whispering things in each other’s ears and laughing.

‘Chicks.’ He thought.

After a few minutes, they finally arrived at the gas station. They walked into the store and Willow and Tara started looking at magazines while Donny searched for food.

The cashier saw Willow and Tara and said in an Indian voice “Hey, this is not a library! If you want to read those, you’re going to have to pay for them!”

“S-s-sorry s-s-sir.” Tara stuttered.

Willow looked to Tara when she did this. The redhead always wondered why Tara started to stutter. She asked her once if there was a reason behind it, but Tara ignored the question and changed the subject. So now, Willow just tries her best to comfort her.

Willow just put the magazines back and went to find Donny. She finally found him near the pastries.

“What are you doing? I thought you were going to get chips?” Willow asked.

“I can’t decide between that or these doughnuts. Man, they both look good.” Donny commented.

“Well, hurry up. I don’t want to stay here all day.” Willow complained.

“Hold your fucking horses!” Donny yelled. “This is a major decision, you know!”

All of a sudden, a little girl walked up to Donny and said “Ooh, you said a bad word!”

“Yeah, you want to hear another!” Donny yelled to the little girl.

“Hey! Relax, okay? Fine, Tara and I will wait outside then.” Willow said then walked out with Tara.

Meanwhile, the little girl just ran back to her mom, who was getting her an ice cream.

After a few minutes, Donny decided on chips. He went to the cashier and threw them on the table.

“How much?” Donny asked.

“3.95” the cashier said.

“What? Damn, that’s expensive! This isn’t even a big bag!” Donny yelled.

“Take it or leave it!” the cashier said.

“Fine!” Donny mumbled. “What a rip off.”

While he was getting his change, the cashier said “It looks like your lady friends get along well.”

“What?” Donny said, still digging for change.

The cashier then said “Yeah, it looks like your redheaded lady friend likes the blonde. Look.”

Donny followed his gaze outside and saw Willow throwing water from the car wash lot onto Tara. Tara just screamed and threw the wet wash towels at Willow. Willow yelled then ran towards Tara and picked her up and started swinging her around.

“They’re just really good friends.” Donny said.

“Oh, I don’t think so.” The cashier said.

“Hey, that’s my sister man!” Donny yelled.

“Don’t yell at me.” The cashier said. “I just sell food.”

Donny walked outside to Willow and Tara.

“If you two are done, let’s go!” Donny said, while lighting a cigarette.

“What’s wrong?” Willow asked, following him and holding onto Tara’s hand.

“Nothing, I’m just tired!” Donny yelled, still walking fast.

“If something’s bothering you-

Donny turned around and threw his cigarette in the direction of the gas station “You want to know what my problem is?”

*FLASH*

Before Willow knew it, she tripped and fell on the ground.

Donny stopped running and went to Willow “Come on Willow! Get up!”

He helped Willow up but Willow ran out of his arms. She looked around and yelled “What happened? Where am I?”

Tara just stood beside her with her face in her hands, saying “Oh my god, what did we do? How could we?”

“Come on Willow, this is no time to fuck around!” Donny yelled then they all ran back to the Maclay’s house.

When they walked in, Mr. Maclay wasn’t in the house.

“Awesome, dad’s not here!” Donny said then closed the door behind them.

Donny ran straight to his room while Willow and Tara went to Tara’s room.

Willow followed Tara in and closed the door behind her.

“Okay, Tara what happened?” Willow asked.

“What do you mean?” Tara asked.

“I mean what happened at the gas station?” Willow asked.

“You don’t know?” Tara asked back.

“No, I blacked it out.” Willow said.

“Oh Willow it was horrible!” Tara said with tears streaming down her face.

“Hey.” Willow said, walking over to her. “It’s okay, you don’t have to talk about it now.”

Tara looked up to meet Willow’s gaze and the barely realized that they were an inch apart.

Willow was about to lean in when they heard tires screech.

They ran to the window and saw Donald Maclay getting out of his car and walking into the house.

“Willow, you should go.” Tara said. “My father already doesn’t like you and he’ll hate you more if he sees you in my room.” She said, knowing that her father was drunk and afraid of what he would do to Willow.

“Alright, we’ll meet up tomorrow for the movies still, right?” Willow asked.

“Yeah, I’ll tell Donny.” Tara said then Willow climbed out of her window.

Once Willow was gone, Tara could hear her father come up the stairs.

He pushed the door open with his foot and yelled “Tara!”

Tara winced at the way he said her name.

“I went to the gas station and couldn’t believe my eyes. There were pretty lights everywhere. The cars, the building. And I thought to myself, ‘hey, I wonder how this started.’ Then your name came up.” Donald said, drunkenly and walked towards her.

“Dad, believe me, I didn’t do it.” Tara said.

“And I thought that I should punish you!” Donald yelled.

“Dad please-

Then he hit her on the face and pushed her into the wall.

In the room next door, Donny could hear everything. Every blow, every scream. But still he just sat there on his bed, listening. He felt bad for Tara, getting beat up for what he did. But he also knew better than to fight with his dad. Especially when he’s drunk.

Willow’s house, Later that night…

Willow was upstairs writing in her journal about everything she remembered from the gas station.

Meanwhile, Sheila was in the kitchen, cleaning up and watching the mini television.

The news interrupted her show and the reporter announced “This just in. A local gas station disaster. The gas station on Treborn Street was lit on fire today. The cops’ only evidence is a cigarette. Police officers reported that the manager/cashier and a lady with her six-year old daughter were brutally burned to death during this explosion. Pedestrians walking by reported that the saw three young teenagers running from the scene but no one has a picture of these hoodlums who are now suspects.”

Sheila just stood there not believing what she heard. ‘Willow went to that gas station today but said she blacked it out.’

She went to the phone and dialed for the Psychiatric Hospital.

At the Psychiatric Hospital…

Willow is lying on the couch and she is under hypnosis from the doctor.

“Okay Willow.” The doctor said. “Relax. Relax. Your mind is completely relaxed. I want you to go back to the time when you were at the gas station. Think of it like a movie. You can pause, rewind, or slow it down. You can do anything you wish. Just try to remember.”

Willow just lays back, totally relaxed.

“Now tell me what you see?” the doctor asked.

“I see me running towards Tara and she’s screaming.” Willow said calmly.

“Are you hurting her?” the doctor asked.

“No, I’m playing with her.” Willow said. “We’re throwing water on each other and laughing.

“Okay, what happens next Willow?” the doctor asked.

Willow’s eyes start to tighten and she says “Donny is yelling at me and then the next thing I know, I’m on the ground.”

“No, you’re not on the ground Willow. What happens after Donny says what he says.” The doctor asked.

“I-I don’t remember.” Willow said, moving her head from side to side.

“The movie in your head is broken that’s all. Rewind it and try to remember Willow.” The doctor said.

“I can’t! The gas station just vanishes!” Willow yelled, starting to feel pain in her head.

“The gas station does not vanish Willow! What happens next?” the doctor said, more loudly.

Willow tightened her eyes more shut and blood starting flowing down from her nose due to the pain in her head.

“Oh my god! Stop this now!” Sheila yelled.

“When I count to three Willow, you’ll wake up!” the doctor yelled.

Willow was still struggling until the doctor started counting.

When he said three, Willow flew off the couch and landed on the floor with blood up to her chin.

“What happened?” Willow asked. “Did it work?”

Sheila just frowned at Willow and looked at the doctor, who was fresh out of ideas.

At the movies…

Sheila drove Willow, Tara and Donny to the movies the next day.

They all got out of the car and decided to go see The Devil’s Rejects.

They were walking towards the theater when Donny told Tara “Wipe that sad ass look off your face! You’re going to get us busted! Did you see the way Willow’s mom was looking at you?”

“S-s-sorry.” Tara said, but not really meaning it.

“Okay, can someone please tell me what the hell happened at the gas station?” Willow asked.

Donny grabbed her shoulders and pushed her into the wall “Don’t you ever, ever mention that shit again, do you hear me?” then he walked away.

Willow just ignored Donny and looked at Tara, who seemed more distraught then the day before.

“Are you okay?” Willow asked her.

Tara just gave a little smile then walked into the movie theater.

Willow just sighed out of frustration and followed Tara into the movie theater.

Donny was sitting in a seat with his legs up on top of the one in front while Willow and Tara sat next to each other behind Donny.

“Holy Shit! Look at that girl getting her arm sliced off. Rob Zombie is a fucking master!” Donny yelled.

A guy turned around and shushed Donny.

Donny just threw popcorn at him and said “Shut up faggot! Nobody’s talking to you!”

Everyone turned their heads and gave him evil glares.

Willow was watching the movie but Tara couldn’t stand it.

She got up and went to the lobby and Willow followed.

When Willow got to the lobby, she saw Tara facing the wall.

“Hey.” Willow said.

Tara slowly turned around and Willow could see that she was crying.

“Are you okay?” Willow asked her.

“You really don’t remember what happened at the gas station?” Tara asked her.

Willow just shook her head.

“You’re so lucky.” Tara said.

“Hey, everything’s going to be alright.” Willow said, touching Tara’s arm for support.

Once she touched it, Tara winced.

Willow quickly pulled her hand back and said “Sorry.”

“It’s not your fault.” Tara said, while pulling up her long sleeve, revealing bruises everywhere. “My dad found out about the gas station and he punished me.”

“You’re dad did that to you?” Willow asked, appalled that her dad would do that.

“I deserve worse.” Tara said, lowering her head.

“What are you talking about?” Willow asked, not believing Tara just said that. “What you need is a better father and brother. All they do is make you feel like shit.”

She noticed Tara trying to hide from her behind her hair and said “You really have no clue how beautiful you are do you?” she said, stepping closer.

Surprised from Willow’s words, Tara looks up to meet Willow’s gaze. Willow just looks at her tearful blue eyes and starts to lean in. Tara leaned in the rest of the way and they met in a searing kiss. The kiss only lasted a few seconds then an abrupt voice interrupts them.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Donny yelled.

He started walking towards Willow and Tara but a nearby punk tripped him and said “Buying popcorn, what the fuck are you doing?”

Donny slowly raised his head to meet Willow and Tara’s gaze. He looked at Willow with evil eyes. He then grabs a nearby velvet rope pole and hits the guy who tripped him with it. Willow and Tara just watched in horror as Donny was beating the crap out of this guy. With one final punch, the punk fell onto the ground and Donny looked at Willow, like she was pretending it was her.

Just then two security guards came and took Donny away.

Donny just laughed evilly as he passed Willow and Tara.

The ride home was a quiet one without Donny in the car. Willow told Sheila what happened and she didn’t say a word.

“Thank you for the ride home Mrs. Rosenberg.” Tara said politely and got out of the car.

“Your welcome, have a nice night Tara.” Sheila said.

“Thank you, you too.” Tara said then ran into her house.

Willow was a little upset that Tara didn’t say goodbye to her but Willow didn’t say it either.

While driving home, Willow was in deep thought until Sheila broke it with two words that changed Willow’s life forever.

“We’re moving.” Sheila said.

Willow just looked at her mom in disbelief. ‘Oh no, what about Tara?’ Willow thought.

Willow was walking with Tara into the woods while her mom was at work.

‘You’re moving?” Tara asked, with sadness in her voice.

‘Yeah, right away.” Willow said.

“Right away?” Tara asked again.

“Yeah, as in tomorrow.” Willow said. “I hate this!” she yelled.

“You’re not the only one.” Tara said.

“I mean things were just starting to progress. I don’t want to leave you.” Willow said. “You’re my best friend and I love you. I’m in love with you and I always have been.”

“Oh Willow, me too. I just didn’t know for sure if you felt that way about me.” Tara said.

They stopped walking when Willow said “Hey, wait a minute. Do you smell smoke?”

“Look, over there in the junkyard.” Tara pointed then they ran towards it.

Once there, they saw Donny pouring gasoline all over a bag but inside the bag was Willow’s dog Amber.

“Amber!” Willow yelled. “What are you doing with my dog?”

Donny grabbed a large piece of wood and ran towards Willow and swung. But instead of hitting Willow, he hit Tara in the head.

“Look what you made me do!” Donny yelled.

“What the hell is your problem?” Willow yelled back and Donny hit her a few times until she fell on the floor in pain.

Donny then walked away and threw the stick of wood on the ground.

Willow looked back to see Amber struggling but she checked on Tara first.

“Tara?” she asked while pushing her over so she could lie on her back. There she saw a lot of blood around her head. “Tara, please, wake up!” she said, while moving her.

Donny grabs a stick that was on fire and says “Why don’t you fucking kiss her like Prince Charming.”

Willow looked over at him and saw him lowering the stick to Amber. She ran towards him then

*FLASH*

Willow started to stir and she had blood everywhere on her face. She guessed that Donny beat her up into a bloody pulp.

She sat up and saw Tara sitting next to her, hugging her knees and crying.

“How long was I out?” Willow asked, but got no answer. “Tara, what’s wrong?”

She followed Tara’s gaze and saw the burned bag. Willow started to cry along with Tara.

Willow’s dog Amber, her first friend in the world, was burned slowly to death.

Willow was sitting in the U-Haul truck writing in her composition book. When she looked in the mirror, she saw Tara running towards her.

Willow quickly started writing while Sheila started the ignition.

When Tara got close enough, Willow put the comp book up to the window and revealed to Tara what she wrote.

I WILL COME BACK FOR YOU.

Tara stopped running and watched as her love drove away from her forever.

After minutes of staring at Tara, Willow finally turned her head and rubbed her eyes in frustration.

Sheila looked to Willow and said “I’m sorry.”

Willow looked angrily at Sheila and started writing her feelings down in her book.

‘I’ll never forget this moment’ Willow thought angrily.

Now they were on their way to a new town called Sunnydale, California.

Hello there!

I'm enjoying this very much. I liked the movie, it's creepy and with a not so happy ending, but you said you have a happy one for this, so everything is good. :-D

When reading your second update, I got confused because I didn't remember any gas station, I liked that change very smooth the way you included that scene in the story.

At the movies very cute, Willow & Tara's kiss, not the movie or Donny. Poor guy he'll get some bad changes in his life if things go like in the movie.

I can't wait for the next update. Please update soon. :bounce :applause

This one is kinda scary-sounding, I'm getting mega-cooties already. As I'm not familair with the movie, I don't know what to expect next.

Hi :wave

I really liked the gas station twist, & I'm interested to see what Willow's gonna do to 'fix' that.

I know it's necessary for the story, 'cos it's what happened in the movie, but it's so sad to see Tara being treated so badly by her father & Donny. & you've made Donny every bit as scary as Kayleigh's brother (whose name I don't remember) was in the movie.

You're doing a great job & I'm certainly looking forward to seeing some more of your own twists. :)

Hugs
Jeanne

Hey, this one's good but yet a little angsty at the end. Just remember: Happy ending! so bear with me here. I'm glad you're liking this guys so I'll keep updating it:)

Seven Years Later…

Setting/Background info: Willow and Sheila made it to Sunnydale and Willow started going to Sunnydale High where she met Buffy and Xander and Anya. They became very close and had the best 4 years anyone can have. Willow and Buffy are now attending UC Sunnydale and Xander still lives at home with his parents, while Willow and Buffy share a dorm together.

Willow was sitting in her desk finishing up her midterm for psych which she chose as her major. Once she was done, she got up to turn it in and walked towards the professor.

“Okay, put your pencils down and place your blue books on my desk! You too Mister! I see you!” the professor yelled then turned to Willow. “So how did you do Willow?”

“I don’t know. I might have gotten some of the stories mixed up. Was it Pavlov’sconditiontosaltandlickhisnuts?” Willow asked him.

The professor laughed and said “You know, for a Psych major, you’re a complete smart-ass. And how is your project coming along? You still planning on changing how we humble scientists view memory assimilation?”

“There’s no other choice.” Willow smiled.

The professor smiled back, understanding about Willow’s blackouts.

Willow rode her bike all the way back to the dorm.

Once inside, she saw Buffy getting dressed.

“Finally you’re getting dressed.” Willow said, handing Buffy her test. “We got our test back today. Where were you?”

“I was sleeping because math sucks Will.” Buffy said, grabbing the paper. “A 96? Well this is definitely a cause for celebration. We’ll all go to the bronze tonight.”

Willow stops and says “What’s the real reason that we’re going?”

“What do you mean?” Buffy asks.

“We’re not going in my honor. Why are we going?” Willow asked again.

“Alright, there’s this cute guy in my history class and he’s going to be there tonight. So please?” Buffy begged.

“Why do you need me to go?” Willow asked. “Just have Anya and Xander go.

“They are going Will. But you have to come too, I’m not just going to leave you here.” Buffy said. “Come on Will. You can meet a hot girl there.”

“Buff, I don’t want to meet any hot girls.” Willow said.

“What, would you rather be with Tara?” Buffy asked.

Willow turned her head and asked “How do you know Tara? What do you know about her?”

“Hey easy Will. I just heard you talking about her in your sleep.” Buffy said. “So who is this mystery girl?”

“An old friend.” Willow said.

“Close?” Buffy asked.

“Yeah, we were best friends. She even returned my feelings but I ended up moving.” Willow said, looking down.

“I’m sorry.” Buffy said. “Then come on, we’ll cheer you up at the Bronze.”

“Fine, I’ll go.” Willow said, depressingly.

At the Bronze…

Buffy, Willow, Anya and Xander are playing pool. After a few hours, Buffy realized that her new crush wasn’t going to arrive.

“Damn! He’s not coming tonight!” Buffy said.

Meanwhile, some fraternity girls were throwing popcorn at Buffy from behind.

“So, which one of you has the pet worm?” Xander asks.

“Worms. Plural!” Buffy said.

“That is so disgusting!” Anya said.

“Talk to her about it. She’s got the fetish.” Buffy said, pointing to Willow.

“Hey watch it! It’s a Psych project.” Willow defended. “It’s actually a study on memory loss.”

“Can’t you do it with something less icky?” Anya asked.

Willow just ignored what she said and shot her ball in the pocket.

Meanwhile, the girls behind Buffy are still throwing popcorn at the back of her head.

“I heard she was a weirdo.” The girl whispered to another.

“Well, if I can I figure out how the memories of a simple worm function, it could help me figure out the complexities of the human brain.” Willow said as she took another shot and made her ball in.

“Well good luck with that Will.” Xander said.

Finally annoyed by those girls, Buffy walked over to the Willow’s side of the table.

“Hey, let me have the next shot.” Buffy said to Willow as she grabbed the pool stick.

Buffy took aim and shot the ball which went flying to the girls’ table, knocking over their food and drinks.

“Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing?” the girl yelled.

Angry, Buffy smacked the stick against the side of the table, causing it to split in half.

The girl just sat down quietly and avoided eye contact.

“Well, I guess that’s you’re game.” Willow said to Buffy.

After a few more drinks, Buffy and Willow decided to head back to their dorm.

“Hey Buff, I think I’m going to take my shower now.” Willow said.

“Okay but before you go, can I borrow your To Kill a Mockingbird book for class tomorrow?” Buffy asked.

“Yeah, it’s under my bed.” Willow said.

Buffy knelt down and felt underneath and pulled out a box with that book and a bunch of composition books.

“What the hell?” Buffy said.

Willow looked to Buffy to see what she was surprised at.

“No! Oh no! Don’t touch that Buff.” Willow said, grabbing the box from Buffy.

“Why do you have a bunch of composition books Will?” Buffy asked.

“Um, they’re my journals.” Willow said sheepishly.

“Why do you have all of your old journals?” Buffy asked. “Feeling nostalgic?”

“Alright, I guess I should tell you.” Willow said. “When I was little, I used to have blackouts and these journals were supposed to help me remember things.”

“Wow, really?” Buffy asked. “Well, do you still get them?”

“No, it’s been seven years since I’ve had a blackout.” Willow said.

“So, these journals are from your childhood?” Buffy asked. “Well, read me something.”

“No, I don’t think that’s such a good idea.” Willow said.

“Come on Will. I want to know about your past.” Buffy said.

“If I read you something, will you promise never to speak of my childhood? Ever?” Willow asked.

“I promise.” Buffy said.

“Fine.” Willow said as she opened up to any random page and starts to read.

“It’s like my mind refuses to believe what I’m seeing.” Willow read from the book.

Willow stopped and looked at Buffy.

“Keep going.” Buffy said.

Willow just rolled her eyes and continued.

“Hearing Amber make those awful screams.” Willow read. She shifted on the bed, remembering that awful day.

Buffy looked at Willow’s face and saw her eyes tearing up.

“Just writing about it gives me the shivers.” Willow read.

“You know what, its okay Will. You don’t have to do this.” Buffy told Willow but she kept on reading.

“It was like Donny was possessed or something.” Willow read. Willow started to notice that the words were shifting in the book.

“There was a hate in his eyes that I couldn’t really call human.” Willow read then stopped as she noticed the room was shifting also.

She looked to Buffy and saw Buffy shifting too.

“Are you okay Will?” Buffy asked.

Then the room stretched and a big flash was all Willow could see.

Willow opened her eyes and saw that she was lying in dirt. She looked up and saw Donny putting the fire stick down and grabbing a big piece of wood.

“What happened?” Willow asked and looked around. “What the hell is going on?” she asked as she got up.

Donny walked over to her and hit her in the face with the wood.

Willow landed flat on her back and groaned in pain.

Donny threw the wood to the side and stepped on Willow’s stomach.

Willow groaned again and turned to her right side, holding her stomach in pain.

She opened her eyes and saw Tara there, lying unconscious.

“Tara?” Willow asked.

She looked over to Donny who was now over by the fire.

Donny grabbed the stick that was on fire and held it close to the bag Amber was tied in.

“You listen to me Willow. And you listen to me good! There are a million other sisters in the world, so why did you have to fuck with mine?” Donny said, lowering the stick to the bag. As it came closer, Amber started whimpering.

Willow opened her eyes and shot up.

“Will, are you okay? You passed out and it sounded like you were having a dream.” Buffy said.

“It didn’t feel like a dream.” Willow said.

“Maybe that’s because they never do.” Buffy said. “Maybe we should get some sleep.”

“Yeah.” Willow breathed. “It’s been a long day.”

The next morning…

The sunlight beamed through the window and onto Willow’s face. Willow started to stir and she turned to where her clock was.

“Eleven o’ clock? Shit, I’m late for History!” Willow said, while grabbing her clothes.

She was running down the hall now and occasionally tripping. She turned the corner and ran right into someone, causing their books to fall.

“Shit!” Willow exclaimed. “I’m so sorry.”

“I-i-t’s o-okay.” The girl stuttered. “It w-w-was m-my fault.”

Willow’s head shot up when the girl started talking.

“Tara?” Willow asked.

Tara’s head shot up and she asked “Willow?”

“Oh my god!” Willow hugged her. “What are you doing here?”

“I take an art class here.” Tara said, equally surprised. “You go to school here?”

“Yeah. Actually I’m late for my History class right now.” Willow said.

“Yeah, I’m late too. I forgot to set my alarm.” Tara sighed.

“Been there.” Willow agreed. “Actually, I was just there this morning.”

Tara laughed at Willow’s quirkiness.

“Well, I got to get going but do you want to meet for lunch?” Willow asked.

“Yeah, I’d like that.” Tara said.

“Okay, well see ya.” Willow said.

“Bye.” Tara waved.

When Willow walked in class, everyone stared at her.

“Nice of you to join us Ms. Rosenberg.” The professor said.

Willow just sat next to Buffy.

“Why didn’t you wake me up this morning?” Willow asked Buffy.

“I thought that you could take the day off today Will. You know, after last night.” Buffy whispered.

“I don’t need a day off Buff.” Willow said. “Oh, and thanks.”

“For what?” Buffy asked.

“Well, if I was on time today, I wouldn’t have ran into an old friend of mine.” Willow whispered.

“Who?” Buffy asked.

“Tara.” Willow said.

“The mystery girl?” Buffy asked. “I got to meet this girl. From the way you’re grinning, she must be something else.”

At lunch…

Tara was sitting at a table, eating her food when Willow and Buffy walked up.

“Hey Tara.” Willow said.

“Hey Willow.” Tara said.

“Oh, this is my friend Buffy.” Willow said.

“Hi, well I just wanted to see the famous Tara. So now I’ll leave. Bye Willow. It was nice meeting you Tara!” Buffy walked away.

“Sorry about her.” Willow said, sitting down.

“Oh no, she sounds nice.” Tara said. “Is she your girlfriend?”

Willow just laughed.

“Oh sorry, um, no she’s not my girlfriend.” Willow said. “That would be really weird.”

“So how are you?” Tara asked.

“Oh, you know same old, same old.” Willow said.

“No I don’t know.” Tara said playfully. “Fill me in.”

“Well, my mom is good. School’s going good. I’m taking Psych as my major.” Willow said.

“Really? I’m taking art.” Tara said.

“Wow, how did you get interested in that?” Willow asked.

“Well, I still have that picture that you drew of me when we were kids and I guess that was my inspiration.” Tara said.

“So, are you here alone?” Willow asked.

“Alone?” Tara asked, not understanding exactly what Willow meant by ‘alone’.

“I meant, are you still living with you’re dad?” Willow asked.

“No.” Tara responded, putting her head down. “I emancipated myself at fifteen.”

“That must have taken a lot of courage.” Willow commented.

“Not if you remember my dad.” Tara said.

Willow avoided Tara’s eyes, regretting mentioning her dad.

“So, why didn’t you go live with your mom?” Willow asked.

“She already had a new family in Colorado. There wasn’t enough room.” Tara said, looking down. “Whatever, I made my choice.”

“What choice?” Willow asked.

“Well, when my folks split up, they gave Donny and me a choice to live with whoever we want to. And I chose my dad.” Tara explained.

“Why would you choose him?” Willow asked.

“Because I knew if I went to go live with my mom, I’d never see you again.” Tara answered honestly.

Sensing that the mood was tense, Willow changed the subject. “So, how’s Donny?” Willow asked.

“Well, they kept him in a Juvenile Prison for awhile, but now he’s working over at Bill’s Auto Shop.” Tara said.

“Wait, the Bill’s Auto Shop over on Stanley Street?” Willow asked.

Tara just nodded her head.

“So, he’s here in town with you?” Willow asked, suddenly feeling nervous.

“Him and my dad.” Tara said. “They sort of followed me. They were worried about me not being able to take care of myself.”

Wanting to get the attention off of her family, Tara said “I missed you Willow.”

“I missed you too.” Willow said, putting her hand on top of Tara’s.

Tara stared at Willow’s hand on top of hers and then looked at her watch.

“Um, I got to go or else I’ll be late for work.” Tara said, pulling her hand out from underneath Willow’s.

“Oh, okay.” Willow said, disappointed. “Where do you work?”

“Um, over at Phil’s grill.” Tara said, putting on her jacket.

“Well, how about I come over some time and you can give me a free slice of pie?” Willow said.

“I think I can arrange that.” Tara smiled then hugged her. “It was nice to see you again Willow.”

“You too.” Willow responded then they walked their separate ways.

Later that night, Willow decided to study for Psych but ended up looking through her old composition books.

She was lying in her bed, reading one from her teenage years.

“The last thing I remember before the blackout was Donny yelling at me.” Willow read then saw that the words were starting to shift.

Just then the room started to shift and stretch. A big flash blinded Willow’s eyes.

“If you two are done, let’s go!” Donny yelled.

Willow opened her eyes and saw that they were at the gas station.

“W-what’s w-wrong Donny?” Tara asked, following Donny and pulling Willow with her.

“Nothing! Now let’s go home!” Donny yelled.

“D-d-donny-

“Fine, you want to know what my problem is.” Donny yelled, throwing his cigarette on the ground. “You have a thing for my sister, don’t you?” he asked Willow.

Willow looked to Tara and looked back to Donny. “Donny, I don’t think it should really matter-

Just then Donny hit her in the jaw.

Willow held her jaw in pain and tackled Donny. They ended up rolling around on the floor near the cars.

“You guys, stop it!” Tara yelled.

They kept throwing in a few punches but not enough to shed blood. Then Donny grabbed Willow’s arm but when she pulled it away, Donny left two long scratches.

Willow, lying flat on her back, looked over to her left and saw the wind blowing Donny’s cigarette towards the gas pumps, where there was a little leak.

“Donny, look!” Willow yelled.

Donny turned and saw it move faster. They both got up and ran away from the gas station.

Donny jumped near bushes while Willow grabbed Tara and they both jumped with him. Just then, the cigarette made contact with the gas and the whole place lit up on fire and blew up.

Willow looked over to the gas station, and saw the roof collapse.

The roof fell in front of the door, making it impossible for the people inside to get out.

“Mommy, it burns!” Willow heard the little girl yell in the store.

Willow stared at the building with wide eyes while Donny was saying “Come on Willow, let’s go!”

Then the three of them ran off.

Willow opened her eyes and shot up from her bed.

“Oh god!” Willow whispered to herself. “What did we do?” then she put her head in her hands and sobbed silently.

She lifts her head and looks around the room.

“Buffy must still be at the library.” She said to herself, while grabbing her books to put them away.

While reaching one, she saw two long scratches on her arm.

“What the hell?” Willow whispered, remembering that that’s where Donny scratched her.

The next night…

Willow was out to dinner with her mom, celebrating the A she got on her midterm.

Sheila walked over to Willow’s side of the table and kissed her on the cheek.

“Mom.” Willow whined, rubbing the lipstick off her cheek.

“I’m sorry, I can’t help it. I’m just so proud of you.” Sheila said.

“Did dad… I mean, did Ira get good grades?” Willow asked.

“Please, he got straight A’s without ever touching a book.” Sheila explained. “That was the one area his memory never failed him.”

“Did he ever say that he could like, find a way to recall his lost memories years after he blacked them out?” Willow asked.

“Why do you ask?” Sheila asked, getting upset from the mention of her dead husband.

“Oh, no reason.” Willow said. “It’s just… you know, if he was such a brain and all, you’d think he would have come up with a way.”

“Well, when he was your age, exactly your age come to think of it, he said that he had figured out a way to remember his past.” Sheila said. “But I couldn’t tell if they were real memories or just his imagination. And just before it got so bad that, uh, he had to be institutionalized, he said that he could… um…

“What?” Willow asked. “He could what mom? What could he do?”

“Nothing, just forget about it.” Sheila said. “He was far too sick then.”

Willow was a little disappointed but she let it slide.

After paying the bill, they walked outside to wait for valet to bring their car around.

“Hey Mom, I, uh, ran into Tara Maclay yesterday.” Willow said.

“Tara Maclay?” Sheila asked, surprisingly. “How is she?”

“She’s doing well. She’s taking art as her major.” Willow said.

“Well that’s wonderful. I would definitely like to see her again.” Sheila said. “She was the only one out of her family that I really liked.”

“I’ll bring her by one day.” Willow said.

“Oh look Willow, a fortune teller. Let’s try it.” Sheila said.

“Oh come on mom. You know that’s all fake.” Willow said.

“Come on, it’ll be fun.” Sheila said, walking into the room.

“Okay, but it’s your dime.” Willow said.

Sheila put the five dollar bill in a nearby money jar and sat down next to Willow.

“Give me your hand young lady.” The psychic said to Willow.

Willow handed the lady her hand. When she touched it, Willow gasped and jerked back.

She turned to her mom and started laughing at her own little joke. Sheila started giggling too.

The psychic’s eyes grew wide when she looked at Willow’s palm.

“Have you ever had your palm read before?” the lady asked her.

“No this is my first time. Be gentle.” Willow told her.

Sheila smacked Willow’s shoulder playfully “Behave.” She said.

“You have no lifeline.” The lady said. “You don’t belong here.” She said, giving Willow her palm back.

“Wow, for an extra five bucks, she’ll spit in your face mom.” Willow whispered.

Sheila rolled her eyes at Willow and looked at the psychic.

“No really, what’s her future?” Sheila asked.

“She has no soul!” the lady said loudly. “You were never meant to be!” she said to Willow.

Sheila’s face dropped at this and she ran out of the room.

“Mom!” Willow yelled. She turned back to the psychic and said “Psychic huh? Did you see this coming?” she said, yanking the five dollar bill out of the jar and walked out after her mom.

When she went outside, she saw her mom, sitting by the parking lot, and smoking.

“I guess you started smoking again.” Willow said.

“Lay off Willow.” Sheila said.

“Hey.” Willow said, looking at Sheila’s tear-stained face. “You’re not going to let that old hag ruin the rest of our time, are you? She’s nuts, she’s a loony, I mean they just do that to-

“I know.” Sheila said. “I know it’s not real, but she just struck a nerve, that’s all.”

“Why?” Willow asked. “I don’t get it.”

“Before you were born, I was pregnant two times and they were both still births.” Sheila confessed.

Willow sat there, shocked at what she heard.

“Why didn’t you ever tell me that?” Willow asked.

“It’s not something I’d like to remember.” Sheila said, taking another puff of her cigarette. “And then when I was pregnant with you, I was terrified. I had to expect the worst.”

“And?” Willow asked, wiping away her mother’s tears.

“And you came out fine. And ever since then, I’ve considered you my little miracle baby.” Sheila said, rubbing Willow’s cheek.

Willow hugged her mom and said “Don’t cry.”

“Come on.” Sheila said, getting out of Willow’s grasp. “We should go, it’s getting late.”

Later that night…

Willow was looking through all of her old comp books again and grabbed one that said seven years old. She flipped to the page that had a post it saying blackout on it and started reading.

“I didn’t want to be in the movie anyway.” Willow read. “It was cold and I wanted to wear my shirt. But Mr. Maclay took my shirt off.”

Buffy walked over to her and yanked the book out of her hands “What do you think you’re doing? Are you stupid or something?”

“Give that back to me Buff.” Willow said.

“No, maybe there’s a reason you repressed the day some pervert had you in your tighty whities.” Buffy said. “I’d think twice about what you’re doing here Will. You could wake up a lot more fucked up than you are now.”

“More fucked up than I already am?” Willow asked. “You think you know me Buffy? I don’t know me!” she said, grabbing the book roughly out of Buffy’s hands. “Who fucking knows me anymore?”

“Fine, I’ll be at Giles’” Buffy said, upset that Willow is pushing her away.

She slams the door and Willow throws her comp book on her desk. “Damnit!” she whispered to herself.

Willow was riding her bike all the way to Phil’s grill. She looked into the doorway and saw Tara wearing a greasy apron and serving redneck people. She was walking by a customer when one pinched her butt. She was about to protest, but thinking that it’s okay, she just smiles weakly at him. The big fat greasy cooker in the kitchen yelled at Tara to come pick up the next order. When Tara was walking towards the table with the food, she ran into another waitress, causing the food to spill everywhere.

“Oh! I’m so sorry Tara.” The waitress said, helping her clean it up.

“I-It’s okay Marlene.” Tara said, wiping the floor.

Willow looked away from the door and decided to wait for Tara once she was done with her shift.

It was one A.M. and Tara was beat. She walked out of the restaurant and zipped up her jacket. She walked past Willow but didn’t notice her.

“Hey.” Willow said.

Tara turned around, surprised by the noise.

“Willow?” Tara said then hugged her. “Hey.”

“Hey.” Willow responded.

“Do you want a smoke?” Tara asked.

“No, not since we were kids.” Willow denied.

“I’ve quit like a hundred times.” Tara said.

“So, are you walking home?” Willow asked.

“Uh huh.” Tara smiled.

“Can I walk you?” Willow asked playfully.

“Sure.” Tara said. “What are you doing out so late? Don’t you have class tomorrow?”

“Well, I came here to talk to you actually.” Willow said.

“To me? Why?” Tara asked.

“Well, remember when we were kids and I used to have those blackouts?” Willow asked.

“Yeah, of course.” Tara answered.

“Well, some of those memories have been coming back to me.” Willow said. “And I was hoping that I could talk to you about one in particular.”

“Well, I’ll try to remember.” Tara said, putting out her cigarette.

“When we were kids, your dad was making a movie about Robin Hood or something and-

“What do you want to know Willow?” Tara cut her off and turned to look at her sternly.

“Well, did he… what happened in the basement?” Willow asked nervously.

“Look, it was a long time ago.” Tara said, getting upset that Willow’s bringing this up.

“I know.” Willow said, looking down.

“Is that why you came here tonight?” Tara asked, getting more upset. “To ask some stupid questions about Robin Hood?”

“No.” Willow said. “I just- I just think that something bad might have really happened.”

“Is there a point to this?” Tara asked, starting to walk again.

“Look, whatever happened, it wasn’t our fault.” Willow said, trying to comfort her. “We were kids, I mean there was nothing that we could do to stop or deserve-

“Just shut up Willow!” Tara yelled. “You’re wasting your breath.” She said walking away from Willow.

“You can’t hate yourself because your dad’s a twisted freak!” Willow said loudly.

Tara ran back to her and looked her in the face “Who are you trying to convince Willow? You come down here to stir up my shit just because you have a bad memory? What, you want me to cry on your shoulder and tell you that everything’s going to be alright? Well fuck you Willow!” she said, hitting her shoulder. “Nothing’s going to get better! Nothing ever gets better!” she yelled, tears streaming down her face.

Willow watched as she ran away from her.

Tara stopped and looked back at Willow “You know if I was so wonderful Willow, why didn’t you call me? Why did you just leave me in that piece of shit town to rot?” Tara yelled and ran away crying.

Willow just watched as Tara ran off into the dark.

The next day…

Willow was in class, writing on her paper. She would keep stopping because she always ended up thinking about the night before. She looked to her arm and saw the two scratches still there. ‘I have to go apologize to Tara.’ Willow thought. She got up from her seat and grabbed her bag.

“Do you have a question Miss Rosenberg?” her math teacher asked.

Willow just looked at her and walked out of class.

She walked towards the art room and knocked on the door.

“Come in.” a lady’s voice said.

Willow walked in and saw the teacher talking to the class.

“May I help you?” the lady asked.

“Yes, can you tell me if there’s a Tara Maclay in your class.” Willow asked, looking at the class, hoping to spot Tara.

The teacher walked over to Willow and said “I’m sorry but she’s not in this class anymore.” And walked back to teach the class.

“Wait, what do you mean she’s not in your class anymore?” Willow asked, grabbing her arm.

“I mean, she dropped out. She seemed pretty upset about something.” The lady said. “Now if you excuse me, I do have a class to teach and unlike your friend, they want to learn.”

Willow frowned and walked out.

Willow walked into her dorm and set her books on the desk.

“Some guy called for you Will.” Buffy said.

Willow pushed the button on her answering machine and her Psych professor came on.

“Willow, it’s me. I was just wondering why you weren’t in class to hand in your essay today. I was a bit concerned. Call me for a make-up.” BEEP.

“Shit!” Willow exclaimed. “I completely forgot!” she said, while looking for it. “I might still be able to turn it in.” she said walking towards the door.

Just then the phone rang and Willow picked it up.

“Hello?” Willow asked.

“What did you say to my sister you bitch!” Donny yelled.

“Donny?” Willow asked nervously.

“She had a good life going for her until you showed up! Last night she cried for over an hour to me on the phone!” Donny told her. “She fucking killed herself tonight. She’s dead, and so are you!’ he hung up.

Willow just dropped the phone from her hands.

“Will, are you okay?” Buffy asked.

“Tara’s dead.” Willow whispered.

At the funeral…

Willow looked out from behind bushes and saw only Donny, his father and the priest sitting in front of Tara’s coffin.

Willow was in a nice black dress with white flowers.

She came back after Donny and his father left to avoid the confrontation.

Willow stood over Tara’s coffin and dropped the flowers onto it. She then took out a piece of paper from her pocket, opened it up, and dropped it on the coffin.

It said I WILL COME BACK FOR YOU.

“I love you Tara Maclay.” Willow said, tears falling. With that said, she went off to go find a way to save her beloved.

The movie made my skin crawl. In a good way if there is such thing.
So of course I love your idea... can you say yet if you will change the ending?! I hope so... you have to.

Another great update :) & it was nice and long too,. I love long updates.

I hate, hate, hate those two words (& at this point I'm assuming you know which 2 words) but, I know that it can be fixed & so everything's okay & I can deal with the ending of that update.

The reunion in the hall at college was sweet :) especially this bit...

Quote:
“Yeah, I’m late too. I forgot to set my alarm.” Tara sighed.

“Been there.” Willow agreed. “Actually, I was just there this morning.”

Tara laughed at Willow’s quirkiness.
:x

Oh, this bit...
Quote:
“You know if I was so wonderful Willow, why didn’t you call me? Why did you just leave me in that piece of shit town to rot?” Tara yelled and ran away crying.
She did have a point, & when I saw the movie I just thought, that's a pretty good question, I mean, it wouldn't have been that difficult to stay in contact. But, that's a problem I had with the movie, not with your fic, 'cos I know that you're just following what happened in the movie, so it's all good. :)

I look forward to more :)

Hugs
Jeanne

Oh, & I hope you don't mind but I just want to say, WillowRulez I love your avatar :)

Hey guys, I know this is a short one. I apologize. But I worked hard on this one, so I hope you enjoy it. I’ll make the next one a little longer. Plus, if you have the song that I mentioned in the beginning of this chapter, it really helps with the mood. Listen to it while you read.

Willow was writing in her journal in her room, thinking about Tara and the events that has happened in the past few days. In the background, Willow was listening to Garbage’s Bleed Like Me.

‘If the scratches on my arm just didn’t come out of nowhere, maybe my father wasn’t as crazy as everyone thought. If I have the power to make scars, do I have the power to heal them?’ Willow wrote. ‘What about Tara’s scars?”

Willow stopped thinking and listened very carefully to the certain part the song was on.

You should see my scars (4x’s)

Willow stopped writing and threw her pencil on her desk. She looked at the page next to the one she was writing on and she started reading it.

“I didn’t want to be in the movie anyway.” Willow read aloud. “It was cold and I wanted to wear my shirt. But Mr. Maclay made me take my shirt off.”

She looked in her room and saw the room start to stretch.

All of a sudden, she was standing in Tara’s old backyard. Tara and Donny were wearing costumes and Mr. Maclay had a video camera in one hand and his drink in the other.

“I’ve got an idea kids.” He said. “Why don’t we go down to the basement? It’ll look more like a dungeon down there.”

Willow nodded her head, anxious to see what actually happened down there.

Just then, Willow and Tara were standing next to each other in the basement while Mr. Maclay set up the camera.

Tara was wearing the same costume she was wearing outside but Willow was wearing Donny’s costume.

“Okay, let me set up the light here.” Mr. Maclay said, turning on the light.

It flashed into Willow’s eyes, almost blinding her.

Willow turned her head towards the stairs and sees Donny tiptoeing down.

Mr. Maclay went over to him and said “Hey, what did I tell you about keeping that damn door shut?”

“But I want to see!” Donny whined.

“Yeah, you’re going to see the back of my hand in about two seconds if you don’t do what I tell you!” he said, hitting Donny in the back of the head.

Donny quickly ran up the steps and closed the door.

“Now, we’re going to make a movie about Robin Hood.” Mr. Maclay said, turning his attention back to Willow and Tara. “But this is a very different version of Robin Hood that you will never hear in school.”

“How come daddy?” Tara asked, excited about the film.

“Because it was outlawed and they think that it’s not appropriate for little children to hear. I however, beg to differ.” Mr. Maclay smiled evilly. “Now in this version, Robin Hood was going to marry Maiden Marion which is going to be you Tara. But she had a change of heart. Someone else caught her eye which will be Willow. Maiden Marion left Robin Hood at the altar and ran away with Willow’s character.”

“What’s Willow’s name?” Tara asked sweetly.

“Uh, I don’t know.” He said, getting frustrated. “We’ll just call her Lady Ashley. Now Maiden Marion decided to marry Lady Ashley. So this takes place after their wedding. Now it’s the honeymoon, and they have to kiss and stuff. Like the grownups do. So, take off your clothes Tara.” He said, going behind his camera and setting his drink down beside him.

Tara’s face fell at what she heard. She felt uncomfortable doing so with Willow in the room.

Mr. Maclay came out from behind his camera when he noticed Tara not moving.

“Come on, it’s just like when you take a bath.” Mr. Maclay said. “Don’t make a big deal out of it. You too Willow.”

Neither of them moved and Mr. Maclay was starting to get frustrated.

“Come on, let’s go. We’re making a movie here.” Mr. Maclay said, rubbing his palms together.

Willow turned and whispered in Tara’s ear “Put your hands over your ears.”

Trusting Willow, she did so while Willow turned her attention back to Tara’s father.

“What time is it?” Willow asked, getting angry.

“Uh, it’s time for you to do what I tell you to do.” Mr. Maclay said.

“Wrong answer fucker!” Willow said loudly. “This is the moment of your reckoning. In the next few seconds, you will open one of two doors. The first will forever traumatize your own flesh and blood.”

“What’s going on? Wait, how are you doing this?” Mr. Maclay asked, growing confused at why a seven year old girl would use this kind of language.

“It’ll change your daughter from a beautiful child into an empty shell!” Willow yelled. Her only concept of trust was betrayed by her own sick, twisted father. Ultimately, it’ll lead to her suicide. Nice work daddy.”

“Who are you?” Mr. Maclay asked, getting scared.

“Let’s just say you’re being closely watched Donald!” Willow said. “Now I want you to treat Tara like, say how a loving father treats his daughter. Sound okay to you papa?”

“Yes.” Mr. Maclay nodded, letting Willow’s words sink in.

“Then listen up close fucker! You screw this up again; I swear you will never see daylight ever again!” Willow yelled. “What you need to do is discipline your son Donny because the kid is once a foul-mouthed punk. Oh, one last thing.”

Willow walked over to Tara and grabbed her hands from her ears and whispered in her ear. Tara looked at her father and said “Don’t ever touch me again!” with Willow right by her side, looking angry at Mr. Maclay.

“I-I won’t.” Mr. Maclay said nervously.

*FLASH*

All of a sudden, Willow was lying in a bed. She opens her eyes and looks around the room and sees girly things everywhere. She sees stuffed animals and pictures of celebrities on the wall.

‘Where the hell am I?’ Willow thought.

Then, she starts to close her eyes in pain as her brain was coming up with new memories since she changed the past.

Vision 1- Her and Tara were getting close.

“I have to tell you, I love you.” Willow said.

“Oh Willow, I love you too.” Tara said then they kiss.

Vision 2- the junkyard

“Amber!” Willow yelled as she ran towards her dog but Donny hit her in the face.

Vision 3- Willow moved to Sunnydale but Tara came a few days later on the bus.

“Tara, I can’t believe you came!” Willow yelled, running towards Tara, picking her up and swinging her around.

Vision 4- Willow and Tara walked happily hand in hand, feeding each other food.

Vision 5- They are going to prom together and they kiss in the limo.

Willow grabs her head in pain and then it stopped. She starts to breathe regularly and nose starts to bleed.

“Honey, what’s wrong?” she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Startled by the touch, Willow falls on the floor and grabs a nearby towel to cover herself with, since she noticed she was naked.

“Oh my god Willow, you’re bleeding!” Tara said.

“Tara, it’s you!” Willow said excitedly. She looks around the room and says “Incredible!”

“Thanks.” Tara said, confused by Willow’s behavior. “Why don’t you go get cleaned up so you can come back to bed.”

Willow wiped her nose and saw that she was bleeding heavily. “Oh, where are my clothes?” she asked, looking around.

“Those are your clothes silly.” Tara said, pointing to the bright colored ones Willow was sitting on.

Willow picked them up and looked at Tara. Tara nodded her head at the fact that they are her clothes.

“The bathroom is down the hall?” Willow asked.

“Just like it’s always been.” Tara said, furrowing her brow.

“Right, I know that.” Willow said. “Just keeping you on your toes.” Then headed out the door.

“Hurry, I want my morning Willow snuggles.” Tara yelled.

Willow’s eyes grew wide at that. ‘So, I’m with Tara now?’ she thought.

She walked through the hall and just saw girls’ drying themselves off from their shower and getting dressed. Few girls eyed Willow, considering she was only in a towel.

Willow finally made it to the bathroom, turned on the faucet and started cleaning up. When she looked in the mirror, she saw that her hair was a bright, bright red.

“What?” Willow said, touching her hair. “Unfuckingbelievable.”

“I wish I could get that excited about a nosebleed.” A girl said, walking out of the shower.

Startled, Willow turns around and sees a woman getting out of the shower. Willow quickly turns back to the mirror and avoids looking at her.

“Sorry, I didn’t know anyone else was in here.” Willow said, while the girl wrapped a towel around herself and wringed the water out her hair.

Willow looked in the mirror and sees the girl’s face.

“You’re the girl who was with those other bitches throwing the popcorn at Buffy.” Willow said, remembering the girl.

“What?” the girl asked.

“And your name is Gwen. I know you.” Willow said.

“Seriously Willow, lay off the pot.” She said then slapped Willow’s butt.

Willow jumped when her hand made contact.

Outside, Willow and Tara were walking to their classes. Willow shifted in her new, uncomfortable clothes and looked around the campus.

‘So, we’re at UC Sunnydale again but we’re in a fraternity?’ she thought. ‘This is going to take some getting used to.’

“Hey, don’t freak out when I ask you this but do you remember that video camera that your dad had?” Willow asked.

“Uh, yeah. I think he had it for one day and he, like, gave it away or something.” Tara said. “Why would that freak me out?”

“No reason, just being silly I guess.” Willow said.

“You are such a goofball!” Tara said, trying to tickle her.

“Hey!” Willow said, laughing and trying to avoid Tara’s tickling fingers.

Tara grabbed Willow’s face and kissed her passionately.

“So, I’ll see you tonight?” Tara asked.

“Yeah, definitely.” Willow smiled then Tara left and blew her a kiss as she walked away.

Willow watched her leave and her smile grew wide from that kiss.

Willow was trying to call her mom but the answering machine came on. Three different voices came on, saying their own names.

Machine- Hi, you’ve reached Sheila, and Willow, and Chuck. We’re not home right now, you know what to do!

“Uh, hey mom, and hey Chuck, um, I just called to say hi so give me a call back, bye.” Willow said then hung up.

She looked at her watch but realized she didn’t have one.

Just then Buffy walked by and Willow asked her “Hey Buff, do you know what time it is?”

Buffy stopped and eyed her.

“What’s the matter, you lost your Rolex? Fuck you frat girl!” Buffy yelled then walked away.

Willow stood dumbfounded at what just happened.

Willow walked into her Psych class and went up to her professor.

“Hi Professor Martin, with that essay I missed last week, we’re still good with the extension, right?” Willow asked.

“And your name is?” he asked.

“Willow… Rosenberg.” Willow said, confused on why her teacher friend didn’t know who she was.

“The answer is no Miss Rosenberg.” He said. “Now please take your seat. The exam is about to begin.” He said, handing her an exam sheet.

Still confused, Willow took it and sat in her regular seat.

Just then, a girl came behind Willow and grabbed her from behind.

“Get off me bitch!” Willow said, noticing it was one of the girl’s throwing the popcorn at Buffy. “You guys started that shit!”

“Willow, you’re hysterical!” she said then took a seat next to her. “Did you study for this?”

Remembering that she too was in the fraternity, Willow said “Oh, um, well, we’ll find out.”

“Yeah, me neither.” The girl said, secretly handing her a piece of paper.

Willow took it and opened it.

“Holy shit, are these the answers?” Willow asked.

“Damn Will, keep your voice down! I can’t get caught again.” She said.

Willow just crumpled the piece of paper in her hand and whispered to the girl “Hey, I wanted to do something special for Tara tomorrow night. So if I said I needed a little help from you and the sisters…”

“I’d say eat me.” The girl said.

Willow’s smile faded.

“Come on Will, get the pledges to do it.” The girl said.

“Right, pledges.” She said.

“The test will begin now!” the professor said.

Willow never liked to cheat so she threw the answers underneath her desk.

Ohhh! I found this fic a few days ago and was totally excited because I loved this movie and it's even better to see it from a Willow/ Tara view (duhh :-D )! I can't wait to see how the end will be changed, for the better good of course. You've done a nice job with this!

Hey, I know this one’s short but I’m trying to lengthen this story out. I’ll try to keep updating but school might kick my ass so just be patient.

Later that night…

Willow and Tara spent many hours just talking and making love on Tara’s bed. Earlier that day, they found out that Willow passed her exam in Psych class and Tara wanted to celebrate.

They kissed passionately until Willow pulled away and laid her head on Tara’s shoulder.

“I could get used to this.” Willow smirked.

Tara looked at her in confusion. “You’re not used to it already?” she said, mocking that she was hurt.

“No I’m not because I could never get tired of you.” Willow said, capturing her lips once again.

Tara sighed and said “God, I want to stay in this moment forever.” She looked to Willow and said “I don’t know how you do it. You somehow can make everything wrong in my life disappear. You make me special Will. I love you.”

Willow smiled and said “I love you too.”

Willow kissed her and wanted to hold it for as long as she could until-

RING! RING!

Willow pulled away and sighed in frustration while Tara giggled at her pouty face.

Willow picked up the receiver and said “Hello?”

A man said “Excuse me but is there a David there?”

Willow furrowed her brow and said “Never heard of him. Consult your directory.” Then hung up.

Tara just giggled at what she said.

“Wrong number?” Tara asked.

“Yeah but I took care of it.” Willow smiled then kissed her again.

Just as she did so, the phone rang again.

“God damn it! People just want to ruin our evening, don’t they?” Willow said, as she picked up the receiver again.

“Hello?” Willow said, frustratingly.

A couple of seconds later, all she could hear was the dial tone.

Willow just shrugged and hung up.

“Maybe I should disconnect my phone.” Tara smiled.

Willow just giggled and laid her head back down to enjoy the tender moment.

“What do you think it is about us that makes us so perfect?” Willow asked, looking into Tara’s blue eyes.

Tara furrowed her brow and uttered “Um…

“I mean, why did you sneak out to visit me after I moved away?” Willow asked, while Tara stroked her hair.

“Because I missed you.” Tara put simply.

Willow rolled her eyes and buried her face in the crook of Tara’s neck to hide her embarrassment. Tara just laughed at how silly Willow was acting.

Tara lifted Willow’s head and said “What do you think, my dad could have stopped me from seeing you? What’s he gonna do?” she said playfully.

Willow just laughed at this. She was glad that because of her, Tara now felt more confident about herself and that she felt like her father couldn’t do anything at all to her.

Tara closed her eyes and said “Oh my god, my toes are numb.” She smiled.

Willow looked up and asked “Do you think that we’ll be together forever?”

Tara stared at her and asked “That is the plan isn’t it? The fraternity voted us ‘Couple Most Likely To Last Forever’.”

Willow thought for a second and said “Yeah, of course. That’s the plan alright.” She smiled then kissed her.

The next day…

Outside, the pledges were lined up next to each other while Willow told them of her surprise for Tara. By the looks of their shirts, you could tell they had to go through initiation earlier that day. Willow looked at them all and couldn’t believe what she was doing. Earlier, she threw food at them and dumped water all over them. Now she made them wear metal food bowls on their heads and she was hitting them on the head with a wooden spoon. The good thing about this was that she could treat them like dirt and they would do anything she said. She had power and she liked the taste of it.

“Alright, all you guys know what you have to for me tonight.” Willow said, swinging the spoon in her hand.

“Pledges. We’re, uh, pledges Miss.” One of the pledges said. “Uh, Miss Rosenberg, Miss.”

Willow looked at the boy then turned her head at her fellow frat buddies. One of them was laughing at the pledges while the other looked at Willow, expecting her to do something to the pledge for talking when he wasn’t told that he could.

Willow walked up to the boy and looked at him angrily.

“What? What did you say to me? Give me the Greek alphabet!” Willow said.

The boy started stammering and Willow mocked him. She then later shouted the Greek alphabet in his face and he started looking scared.

“How do you expect to get in this fraternity without knowing the Greek alphabet?” Willow yelled. “Don’t fucking look at me, look down!”

The boy quickly did as he was told while Willow’s face softened. She couldn’t believe she did that.

‘What the hell? How did I know that? This is so not me!’ she thought.

“Um, okay, um well, you guys know what you need to do for me. Why don’t you pledges take a shower and if anybody gives you a hard time, you tell them I said that it was okay.” Willow said, avoiding their eyes.

She walked past the frat guy and threw the spoon in their laps.

“What?” one of the guys said.

As a pledge walked by, he threw his cup of beer in his face. “Shower that bitch!” then he laughed as did the other guys.

That night…

Willow took Tara out on the patio in another section of the frat house. She was standing in back of Tara with her hands over her eyes as she led her outside.

“I don’t understand. Where are you taking me?” Tara asked.

“I’m not telling.” Willow said playfully.

Once they were outside, Willow took her hands from her eyes. Tara’s eyes widened in amazement as she saw a table with dinner on it, flowers in the middle with candlelight, and a boy throwing flower petals on them to give it even more of a romantic vibe.

“Oh my god.” Tara sighed. “Wow, it’s beautiful.”

They walked over to the table and one of the pledges, dressed in a white waiter suit, pulled out her chair foe her.

“Go ahead, have a seat.” Willow said, as she walked over to her side.

“Thank you.” Tara said politely to the waiter boy. He just smiled sweetly at her.

Willow just stared at Tara and smiled as she got lost in those blue eyes.

“Why are you doing this for me?” Tara asked in confusion but still in a sweet tone.

“When I woke up this morning, I saw your smile.” Willow said. “That smile.” She pointed.

Tara giggled and gave her the famous half-smile she does.

“And I knew at that moment, that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.” Willow said.

Tara smiled at her and held out her hand across the table. Willow took it and entwined their fingers. She then leaned over the table and gave her a sweet kiss.

Just then, one of the frat boys came and interrupted.

“Willow, there you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!” he said. “Somebody trashed your car!”

Willow furrowed her brow and looked at Tara then they both ran outside.

Willow ran to her car and saw that it was totally smashed.

“Who did this? Who did it?” she yelled.

“I bet it was one of those damn pledges!” the frat boy said.

“Oh my god.” Tara sighed as she saw the car.

“Fuck, how does somebody get away with something like this right in front of the frat house?” Willow yelled.

She stopped right in front of her car window and looked inside. Tara came by her side and their eyes widened at what they saw hanging from the rear view mirror.

“Dude, what is that? A dog collar?” a frat boy asked.

‘Amber’s collar?’ Willow thought.

“Donny.” Tara whispered.

Hey, I promise this one’s a little better than the last one. Please enjoy and leave plenty of feedback because I live on it.

Willow rushed through her dorm room with Tara following close behind. Willow started looking through her drawers and desk frantically.

“It’s my fault. I should have told you that he was released a few days ago.” Tara said, trying to calm Willow down.

“Yeah, that probably would have helped.” Willow said, going through another drawer.

She moved things around and found a pepper spray container.

Willow sighed and said “Like this is going to do any good. I’m going to go see if any of the frat guys have a gun.”

Tara grabbed Willow’s arm before she could get out the door. “Willow, calm down, okay? He is not going to hurt you! He’s just trying to scare you away from me!”

“He killed my dog! Do you not remember that?” Willow said, getting angrier.

Tara’s face softened and said “Willow, it’s not his fault. You know how bad he had it when we were kids.”

Willow shook her head angrily and said “No, no, don’t give me this bad upbringing shit! You turned out just fine!”

“My father never laid a hand on me!” Tara yelled. “It’s like that jerk saved it all up for Donny!”

Willow’s face softened as she realized what she meant. She remembered her telling Tara’s father to discipline Donny and never touch Tara again.

Willow sat down on her bed and said “Okay, um, alright, we’ll let campus security deal with it.”

Willow decided to walk Tara back to her dorm that night. She didn’t want anything to happen to her. Not again.

“You know what, I think I should sleep alone tonight.” Tara said, taking Willow’s hand off her shoulder.

“No, no, you’re not staying alone tonight. I’m staying with you.” Willow said, while scanning around the campus.

“Willow, I just don’t want Donny to see us together right now.” Tara said, trying to convince her.

“No, I lost you once and I’m not losing you again.” Willow said.

“What do you mean you lost me?” Tara asked, confused. “Willow, you never lost me, what are you talking about? God, you’ve been acting so strange lately.”

“Look, my car just got wrecked so I’m kinda freaked out right now.” Willow said.

Tara sighed and said “I know that but… your accent’s changed and you don’t even walk the same.”

“What, I walk differently?” Willow asked.

Tara stopped walking and turned towards Willow.

“I mean, that dinner tonight was great, really, it was gorgeous. But it just wasn’t... you.” Tara tried to explain.

“What, I can’t do something nice for you?” Willow asked.

Tara sighed and looked towards a nearby tree. Her brow furrowed.

“Wait, isn’t that your jacket?” Tara asked.

Willow followed her gaze and saw her bright pink jacket lying on the floor.

They walked towards it and Donny came out from behind the tree.

“Donny!” Tara said, surprised.

Willow stood in front of Tara and backed away from him.

“You stay away from us you sick fuck!” Willow said.

Donny just smirked and twirled his bat in the air.

“Oh, get this ‘us’ shit.” Donny smiled. “Like I’d ever lay a hand on my own sister.”

By the slur in his voice and his dirty clothes, they could tell he was drinking earlier.

“You’re doing real nice for yourself Willow.” Donny said. “You got a nice life. Nice friends. Not to mention, you’re fucking my sister. Not a bad piece of ass if you ask me.” He said, eyeing Tara.

“Shut up Donny!” Tara yelled from behind Willow.

“Oh come on, that’s a compliment.” Donny smiled evilly.

“Alright, what are you doing man?” Willow asked, trying to calm Donny down. “What the fuck-

“It’s not good enough that the whole fucking world loves you.” Donny said, walking closer to them.

Willow and Tara just kept backing away, never taking their eyes off of his bat.

“But you got to take the one thing that doesn’t think that I’m a piece of shit?” Donny yelled.

“Donny, you know I love you.” Tara said, hoping that will calm him down.

“Alright look, nobody thinks you’re a piece of shit.” Willow said.

“Oh yeah, what did you say earlier? Oh, sick fuck!” Donny yelled then ran towards Willow.

He swung the bat but Willow blocked it by using her shoulder blades.

“No Donny!” Tara yelled.

Donny ignored her and hit Willow in the gut, causing her to fall on the floor and gasping for air. While she was huddled on the ground, Donny kept hitting her in the back with the bat.

“Somebody help us!” Tara yelled.

Donny went to hit her again but Willow sprayed him in the eyes with the pepper spray. His hands flew up to his eyes and he groaned in pain. Although he couldn’t see, he kept swinging in the air but missing Willow every time. Meanwhile, Willow kept spraying him. She grabbed the bat from his hands and hit him in the sides, causing him to fall on the ground.

Tara just screamed again and ran towards the campus alarm. She pushed the button and a loud blue alarm came screeching on. She only hoped that security would get there in time.

Meanwhile, Willow set the bat next to her and she hovered over Donny. She kept hitting him in the jaw.

“You motherfucker! You killed Amber!” she yelled, hitting him in between sentences. “You killed those people at the gas station! And now you’re trying to kill me!”

Tara ran back and saw Willow grab the bat and hit Donny in the head with it, causing blood to spray everywhere.

“No!” Tara screamed.

Willow’s eyes widened at what she just did. She never hurt anybody before.

“Oh my god!” Tara cried, putting her hand over her mouth.

Willow looked at Tara with wide eyes but all she saw was Tara hugging her knees and crying.

Security finally showed up and took Willow away.

The bus took a long time on the road and Willow almost fell asleep in her seat. She couldn’t get Tara’s face out of her mind. The way she screamed of terror and the way she looked at her when she did what she did.

All of a sudden, the bus stopped and everyone got off of the bus. Willow walked off the steps and looked up at the sign.

Sunnydale Penitentiary

Willow walked through the hall to her new cell. She was carrying her new jail clothes with anklets on. Once she got in the cell, the guard took her anklets off and walked away.
She looked out the door and nearby girls were yelling crude things at her and flipping her off. Willow looked so helpless, according to the other girls.

She put her clothes on the top bunk and looked at her new cell mate who was sitting on the bottom bunk, reading the Bible.

The girl looked pretty tough with her bulky arms and tattoos. Not to mention she was wearing a small tank top and had a chain hanging on her pants.

“First time?” the girl asked.

“Yeah.” Willow said, depressingly.

“Better not bitch up then.” She said, looking at Willow. “You’ll wind up somebody’s luggage that way.”

Willow looked around nervously and asked “Can you protect me?”

The girl sighed and held the Bible up in front of her face.

“Jesus alone couldn’t make me stand up to these tough sisters.” She said.

The girl got up and set her Bible down on her stand. She walked over to Willow and looked at the other girls nervously.

“Look, a little advice. When they hit you and do other things, think of something happy. Go someplace else in your head.” She said.

Willow watched her as she walked out of the cell. Willow looked around nervously, afraid of what’s to come.

Thanks for leaving feedback I love Danish, this one’s for you. I’m sorry I haven’t been posting lately for this one. I thought no one was reading this anymore but I haven’t given up on this story. I have plenty of updates to post on here so keep a lookout.

The next morning…

Everyone was in line to get their breakfast. It was a really long line but Willow was next to get her food. When she reached for it, the person behind her just pushed her into the wall and took the food. Willow just ignored the tough girl and went to reach for her food again. But, another person pushed her and took the food. This lasted until she was the last one in line.

Many minutes later, Willow finally had her breakfast. She went to go sit with her cellmate at nearby table. Once she set her tray down, a girl came and took her pancakes. Willow watched as the girl stuffed them in her face and gave her an evil laugh.

Willow grabbed her plastic knife and fork but another girl came and grabbed her chocolate muffin.

Her cellmate watched Willow as she sighed and looked so depressed. Feeling bad for her new friend, she gave Willow her chocolate muffin. Willow just smiled her thanks and held the muffin close to her as she ate it.

Later that day, Willow was talking with her mom on the phone. She wasn’t used to talking on the phone when the person she was talking to was right in front of her but on the other side of the glass.

“I spoke to your lawyer… and, uh, he said he’s sure he can get you off on self defense.” Sheila told her daughter. “So just be patient sweetie.”

“Mom, how long do I have to stay in here?” Willow asked, getting scared.

“I’m not sure.” Sheila said, on the verge of tears. “These things take time.”

“Well, what about the journals? Did you bring me the ones I asked you to bring?” Willow asked.

“I found these two.” Sheila said, holding them up. “The others are still in storage.”

“Mom!” Willow yelled, hitting the phone on the edge of the table. She quickly calmed down and said “I need them all. All of them!”

“And I’m gonna get them to you.” Sheila said. “But right now, you need to concentrate on the case.”

Willow was going to object but Sheila said “Please?”

Willow looked at her mother’s sorrowful face and just nodded in agreement.

“What about Tara? Is she alright?” Willow asked.

Sheila shook her head.

“Please try to tell her that I’m sorry.” Willow said then Sheila nodded her head.

Just then the guard came and yelled “Time’s up!”

Willow looked at the guard then frantically looked at her mom.

“I’m going to get you out of here kiddo. Just try to hang on.” Sheila said as the guard took Willow away.

Willow now had only two journals with her so she was going to go through them tonight. She walked through the hall to her cell. But on her way, the two toughest girls there were giving her evil eyes. Willow avoided their eyes and tried to walk by but one of the girls grabbed her hair. Willow groaned in pain and the other girl knocked her journals from her hands.

The girl let go of her hair and she bent down to pick them up. But the other girl beat her to them and grabbed them.

“No, they’re mine!” Willow clenched her teeth, trying to grab them but the girl pulled them away. All Willow had left was just two crumpled pages from her journals.

Willow looked at the girl with anger and swung her fist at her. The girl ducked just in time and hit Willow in the jaw. The girl jumped in and both of them were kicking Willow on the ground.

The guard came running quickly and pushed the girls away from her.

“Get back!” the guard yelled as the girls put their hands in the air and backed away.

They made sure Willow was okay then left. The girl walked by Willow and grabbed her hair again. She groaned in pain and squinted her eyes.

“We’ll see you tonight little sister.” The girl said then pushed her face into the hard concrete.

After she put herself back together, Willow quickly walked back into her cell and read the only pages that she had. She checked her tooth which was no bleeding heavily and sighed. Noticing that there wasn’t anything she could use in the pages, Willow slammed the papers on her top bunk and kept hitting the bed in anger.

The night came by rather quickly and everyone was sleeping in their cells. A guard passed by the tough girls’ cell and they handed him money in order to let them out for a little while.

Using it to their advantage, they snuck in Willow’s cell and pulled her off the bed.

“What?” Willow asked, confused and still half asleep. Before she knew it, they were kicking her and punching her.

Later that day, Willow had cleaning duty so they made her mop up the floor. Meanwhile, the tough girls were on the top balcony, reading her journals.

“At last, we kissed.” The girl read. “Tara’s lips were so soft and yet salty from the tears that were running down her cheeks moments earlier. There was a fire burning between us and I didn’t want to let her go.” She said, in a sweet mocking tone.

Willow stopped mopping and her face grew angrier. She wanted to hurt this girl who was reading her inner most thoughts out loud to everyone and making everyone laugh at her.

It was sunny that day and all of the girls were playing basketball except Willow and her cellmate. They were just sitting on a bench watching and enjoying the sun. Willow turned and saw her cellmate’s tattoo. It was a picture of Jesus on the cross. Willow decided to use this to her advantage.

“You’re religious Maria.” Willow said. “Do you believe in that whole God works in mysterious ways thing?”

“Of course.” Maria said, taking another puff of her cigarette.

“Because I think Jesus sent me to your cell for a reason.” Willow said. “For you to help me.”

Maria turned to Willow and looked at her in confusion.

Maria smiled and said “Shit. I knew you were crazy.”

“I’m not bullshitting you. Jesus speaks to me in my dreams.” Willow said.

“Oh yeah? That’s cool. Good.” She said then turned her attention back to the game.

“A pack of smokes says I can prove it to you.” Willow said.

Maria took her cigarette out of her mouth and squashed it on the ground.

In their cell, Willow grabbed the only journal pages that she had.

“Now, I need you to watch my hands and face closely.” Willow said.

“You need to see the prison shrink girl.” Maria said.

“Just tell me if you see anything weird.” Willow said.

“Weirder than this?” Maria asked.

“It could be marks, it could be scars, it could be anything, I don’t know.” Willow said.

Maria folded her arms and watched as Willow read the paper.

‘On Wednesday I got in trouble for a drawing I didn’t do.’ Willow read in her thoughts. ‘Mommy won’t let me see it.’

Just then, the letters started shifting. She looked up at Maria and the whole room started to stretch and a big white flash emerged.

All of a sudden, Willow was in her old classroom. Everyone was drawing so Willow decided to get up.

“Hey, no monkey business Willow. Sit down and finish your drawing.” The teacher said.

So Willow sat down and grabbed her crayons.

“That’s great everyone. Just imagine what you want to be. There are no limits.” The teacher told the class.

Minutes later, Willow finished her drawing. She drew herself with a bloody knife standing on the tough girls’ dead bodies. After she was done, she sneaked over to a nearby desk which had two large needles sticking up in the air.

“Oh Mrs. Boswell?” Willow sang to get the teacher’s attention.

Once the teacher looked up, she saw Willow slam her palms straight down on the needles. The last thing Willow heard was her scream.

Suddenly, she was back in her cell, lying in Maria’s arms.

“Oh my god! I can’t believe it!” Maria said, looking at Willow’s palms which had closed holes in them. “It’s a miracle! It’s like the fucking stigmata man!”

“What did you see? What did it look like?” Willow asked.

“Signs of the lord just came out of nowhere man!” Maria said. “I thought- I thought you were fucking crazy!”

Willow smiled and said “So now you believe me?”

Maria grabbed a pack of smokes and handed it to willow. “Oh yeah, I believe you alright.” She told her.

Willow nervously walked down the hall while the other girls were laughing at her since they heard from her journal.

She finally arrived at the cell she wanted.

She looked in and saw the tough girls just laying back and relaxing. One of them was lying on the bed with Willow’s journal while the other was sitting in a chair.

“I want to make a deal.” Willow said quietly.

The girls looked up at her.

“Alright look, I’m new here but I think I get how things work.” Willow said, while the girls stood up and folded their arms. “You either join a gang or your dead. And I want to join yours because I believe that you run this place and I want some of that.”

One of the girls said “You think your blood is pure enough to be in our gang?”

“Look, I can be very useful. I’m not as sissy as you think I am. I’m actually very dangerous.” Willow said.

“Oh really?” the other girl asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yeah, let me prove it to you!” Willow yelled.

She took out her knife that she was hiding in her jacket sleeve and stuck it in one of the girl’s gut. The girl went to run into her but Maria came in and knocked her out.

“The door Maria!” Willow yelled.

Other girls came running to stop Willow and Maria but Maria closed the cell door, holding them off.

Willow grabbed her journal and started reading very quickly “We took the woods behind the houses so we wouldn’t run into Donny. We didn’t see the smoke yet.”

Willow looked up and saw Maria struggling with the door.

“Hold up! Hold up!” Willow yelled to her.

She read it again and the words started shaking then the room.

The girls forced the door open, knocking Maria into the wall.

One of the girls ran towards Willow to choke her but then there was a big flash.

“Alright, you fucking animals!” Willow muttered.

She looked around and noticed that she was a teenager again.

‘It worked!’ she thought.

Tara looked at her confused to why she just cursed for no reason.

“Come on Tara, we gotta go!” Willow yelled, grabbing Tara’s hand.

They finally ran to the junkyard when Tara stopped running.

“Willow, what’s wrong?” Tara asked.

“You’ll see.” Willow said then ran into the junkyard.

“Donny, what are you doing to Amber?” Tara yelled, running towards him.

Willow ran to him also which caused Donny to pick up a large piece of wood and swing it.

Tara was ahead of Willow so he hit her instead, causing Tara’s cheek to open and bleed heavily.

“Look what you made me do!” Donny yelled then hit Willow in the gut and back, causing her to fall on the ground.

Willow groaned and said “Oh, I’m getting tired of getting my ass kicked. I should have taken self-defense.”

She looked back up at Donny and saw him pick up the stick that was in the fire, putting it closer to Amber in the bag.

“Donny wait! I’ll do whatever you want!” Willow said. “You don’t want me to see Tara anymore fine. But just let Amber go. Besides, if you do this, they’ll stick you in Jail for sure and I know you wouldn’t leave your sister alone with your father!”

Donny’s face softened and opened the sac.

Willow sighed and smiled at the fact that everything was going good.

Just then, Amber ran out of the sac and jumped on Donny out of anger. Amber’s force pushed him into a nearby car which had a piece of metal hanging out. Donny’s back went right through it and he gasped in pain.

“Amber no!” Willow yelled.

Donny just slumped down and stopped moving.

Tara woke up and touched her cheek. As she did so, she winced. She opened her eyes and saw her dead brother lying there with Amber chewing on him. She just screamed as Willow put her head in her hands out of frustration.

All of a sudden, Willow was back in her and Buffy’s dorm. She was dressed back in her normal clothes that she would have chosen to wear. She looked around the room and noticed that the only thing different was that they have opposite sides of the room than they did before.

“It’s all backwards.” Willow commented to herself.

Suddenly, Willow closed her eyes as she felt the pain growing in her cerebrum again and her nose started bleeding.

“Ow!” Willow yelled as she put her hand up to her head.

Now, all of her memories from her fraternity life were disappearing.

“Willow, oh my god Willow!” Tara yelled when she saw Willow with her nosebleed in the morning.

“Who did it?” Willow yelling at people to find out who smashed her car.

“Let me prove it to you!” Willow yelled as she stuck the knife in the girls gut.

Suddenly, Willow was lying back on the bed in her dorm, still shaking violently from the memories. Her eyes start to roll in the back of her head.

Now, new memories were coming in.

“Amber no!” Willow yelled.

Tara screaming after seeing her dead brother.

Picture of Donny’s grave.

“Willow, Amber’s going to have to go away.” Sheila telling Willow as they put Amber to sleep.

Tara hitching a ride on the street.

“Hey, you want a ride?” the trucker asked Tara.

Willow was still shaking violently but now gushes of blood was running down from her nose.

Buffy walked through the door and her eyes widened when she saw Willow.

“Somebody call 911!” she yelled down the hall.

She ran towards Willow and said “Willow! Willow! Fuck, Willow?”

Hey guys, here’s another update from me. I added some of my own lines too so leave me lots of feedback to let me know if you like it or no.

Willow was lying on a machine so it could take pictures on the inside of her brain.

Inside the doctor’s office, the doctor and Sheila were talking.

Willow comes in, sitting in a wheelchair.

“Hey Doc, what’s the damage?” Willow asked, playfully.

“Cute Willow.” Sheila said sarcastically, upset that Willow was so happy at a moment like this.

“It’s a little complicated because I’ve never seen results like this before.” The doctor said.

“Not even with my dad?” Willow asked.

“Actually, they didn’t have these kinds of tests back then.” The doctor said.

“So what did you find?” Sheila asked.

“Well, we did find some hemorrhaging on the outside layer of the cerebrum cortex here.” The doctor said, showing them on the picture.

“That’s where the memories are stored mom.” Willow said, playing with her wheelchair.

“Thank you Willow.” Sheila said sarcastically.

“No problem.” Willow smiled.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before. We compared these photos to the ones that we took last year and we’ve recently discovered severe hemorrhaging and massive Nero reconstruction.” The doctor said.

“And what does that mean?” Sheila asked.

“He’s saying that I’ve jammed over forty years of memories into my head over the last year, completely overloading my brain and the memories have totally reconstructed it. Is that about the jist of it Doc?” Willow said.

The doctor looked at her in awe and said “Yeah.”

Willow stopped playing with her chair and got up. “Alright well, thanks for letting me hang here but I kind of want to leave now. The light in here’s kind of bugging my eyes.”

“Where are you going Will?” Sheila asked, concerned for her daughter.

“Back to the dorm mom. I got people to see, things to read, so.” Willow said, opening the door. “It was great seeing you again Doc. It really was.”

Willow was sitting next to a tree on the school campus, reading her journal.

“Today I get to meet my father. His name is Ira and he’s crazy.” Willow read aloud. “I hope he lets me call him dad.”

She looked up and the campus started stretching.

Before she knew it, she was seven years old again and sitting right in front of her father in the mental institution.

“Yes, it worked.” Willow muttered.

“Are you okay?” Ira asked her. “Because it looked like you spaced out a little bit.”

“Ira, I’m going to need some fast answers from you if I’m ever going to fix what I’ve done.” Willow told him.

His face fell. He knew at that moment, the little redhead girl was gone and was replaced by a much older Willow.

“I was really hoping that this curse ended with me.” He sighed.

“Yeah but it didn’t.” Willow said. “And now I need some info on how to make things right again!”

“There is no right!” he said sternly. “You can’t change how people are without destroying who they were.”

“Who says you can’t make things better?” Willow argued with her little kid’s voice.

“You can’t play god sweetie!” he said. “Who knows, just by being here, you’re probably hurting your mother!”

“No, that’s bullshit! You know what, I’ll send you a postcard when I make everything right again!” Willow yelled.

Ira knew it was now or never. He had to destroy Willow before she hurt anyone. He jumped over the table and pushed Willow backwards, making her land hard on the floor. He started choking her when the doctors came in.

Just then, Willow opened her eyes again and she was back at the campus. Her body looked like it was just in a struggle so she tried to calm down.

“I bet the people passing by are wondering what the hell’s wrong with me.” Willow smirked.

Later that afternoon, Willow was in Phil’s Grill, eating a chili burger. She felt like she hadn’t eaten in days so that burger never had a chance. She was still stuffing her face when the waitress came. The waitress stood next to Willow and put the bill on the table.
Immediately remembering from jail, Willow’s eyes widened and she hugged the burger closer to her chest.

‘If the waitress wants this burger then she has to pry it from my cold dead fingers!’ Willow thought.

The waitress noticed her reaction and asked “Just got out did you?”

Willow furrowed her brow and looked up at her. “What?” she asked.

“Oh no, I just meant that I had a brother who spent some time in lock up and he used to eat his food like that.” She said nervously.

“I come from a big family.” Willow lied then took a long sip of her pepsi.

“Well, I meant no offense.” The waitress said, feeling bad about what she said.

“None taken.” Willow said, avoiding her eyes. She just watched as she cleared the dirty plates in front of her.

After she wiped the table, the waitress turned to leave but Willow spoke up.

“Excuse me but, could you tell me when Tara Maclay starts working?” the redhead asked her.

“Hmm, sorry but I’ve never heard of her.” The waitress said, looking confused.

She turned to leave, leaving a confused Willow behind her.

A few days later, Willow finally arrived to Boston, Massachusetts. She couldn’t believe she beat up that girl just for her ticket. Oh well, if the cops come looking for her, she could just reverse time.

She drove down to Mr. Maclay’s house and knocked on the door roughly.

“God damn it, can’t a guy get a little peace and quiet in his own fucking home?” a voice yelled from the house.

A darkened figure came and opened the screen door. It took him a moment to realize who the redhead was.

“Oh, it’s you.” He said. “What are you doing here, selling Girl Scout cookies or some shit like that?”

“Guess again fucker!” Willow said then pinned him to the wall. “Now I’ve got one question for you. Where can I find your daughter?”

Using the directions that Tara’s dad gave her, Willow ended up walking to a run down apartment building.

‘Oh shit, what a dump!’ Willow thought. ‘This can’t be right.’

She walked up to the buttons that went to each room and saw the words TARA MACLAY next to one of them. She pushed the button and the door automatically opened.

‘She didn’t even ask who I was.’ Willow curiously thought as she walked up the steps. She arrived to the door and knocked softly. The door opened, revealing the owner.

Willow’s eyes widened in terror at what she saw. This girl wasn’t her Tara. It couldn’t be. This woman in front of her looked so torn and helpless. Tara’s once beautiful blonde hair was now dirty and stringy. Not to mention that Tara’s face and arms were dirty too. The clothes on her were so ragged and looked like they’d never seen the inside of a washer before.

“Oh, it’s you.” Tara said bluntly as she realized who it was.

“Hey.” Willow said nervously, shifting from one foot to another. She smiled big at the thought of seeing Tara again, even if this Tara was so different from the one she used to know.

Tara ignored her and walked out in the hall to see if anybody else was there. Willow’s smile faded when Tara turned her head from her. She was sad that Tara would act like she disliked her but the other thing that caught her attention, was the huge scar on her cheek. She remembered when Donny hit her with the large stick of wood in the junkyard.

“I was expecting someone else.” Tara said disappointedly.

“Do you mind if I come in?” Willow asked, pointing inside the room.

“I guess.” Tara said, rolling her eyes.

Tara walked into the room first, heading to her broken, dirty stove. Willow walked in and her mouth dropped. What she saw terrified her. There was a mattress on the floor with one crumpled blanket, dirty dishes everywhere and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Not to mention the room smelled musky.

Tara put a newspaper over a used food plate and said “Excuse the mess. I didn’t know you were coming.” She put a cigarette in her mouth and lit it.

“You look good.” Willow said, forcing a smile.

“You don’t have to lie to me.” Tara rolled her eyes. “What are you doing here Willow?”

“I just needed to talk to you.” Willow said.

“Yeah well, I don’t have a lot of time. I’m expecting a client.” Tara said.

“I’m sure he could wait, if not then he could just fuck something in the hall.” Willow rudely said.

“Oh I’m sorry, is my little moneymaking business making you feel uncomfortable?” Tara asked evilly.

Willow ignored the question and suddenly found the wall interesting.

“Time is money Willow.” Tara said, opening the door.

Willow threw her wallet on the table and said “I have plenty of money.”

“Fine, I guess I could spare a couple of minutes for an old friend right?” Tara said. “Wait, what are you doing in this town? I thought you were up in California, enjoying the sun.” she said spitefully.

“I had to talk to you.” Willow said simply.

“Then talk.” Tara said.

“Let’s go. I’ll buy you a decent meal.” Willow smiled.

“Ooh, my hero.” Tara said sarcastically as she followed Willow out the door.

Willow and Tara were sitting in a booth, eating a slice of pie.

“So that’s what’s been happening.” Willow finished telling her little tale.

“Oh really? You think you could reverse time and get me another slice of pie? Make it pumpkin this time.” Tara teased.

“You don’t believe me.” Willow said. It was more of a statement than a question. “I didn’t think you would.”

“You’re damn right I don’t believe you.” Tara said. “I wasn’t born yesterday.”

“That’s fine, I don’t care anymore. Frankly, I’m too tired to prove it to you.” Willow said.

“Oh, so there’s proof now?” Tara said.

“You’re the only one who knows.” Willow said.

“I’m the only one you’ve told?” Tara asked. Her face fell and she said “That’s a good line. Does that make other girls horny for you?”

Willow just rolled her eyes.

“I’m honored that you wanted to try that story on me but it didn’t work.” Tara said “I mean me in a fucking sorority? You’ve got to be kidding me.”

She grabbed Willow’s wallet and asked “How much money do you got?”

“Take it all.” Willow sighed. “I won’t need it where I’m going.”

“Oh that’s right, you’re going off to change everyone’s lives again, is that it?” Tara asked. “To make things great for everyone?”

“Nothing has been going the way I want it to!” Willow said, getting frustrated from Tara’s attitude.

“Well don’t give up now you genius. Hell, you’ve already done so much for me!” Tara yelled.

Willow could hear every ounce pain in her voice.

“Why don’t you go back in time and save those people from the gas station?” Tara yelled. “Then maybe my dad wouldn’t become such a cynical asshole and beat me up every fucking night!”

Willow winced as she heard this. She remembered seeing the bruises when they were younger.

“No, how about you go to the time when you came over that one night and watched TV at our house. You know, the moment when my dad lead me into his bedroom and fucked me while you were just sitting on the couch, oblivious to what was going on!” Tara yelled.

Willow furrowed her brow. She never knew that happened. She just remembered Tara coming back into the living room with tearful eyes. She asked her about it but Tara just said she stubbed her toe.

Tara got up from the booth and leant in front of Willow’s face.

“Or how about you go back to the time when we were seven and fuck me in front of my daddy’s video camera.” Tara said. “Straighten me out a bit. Well, I guess not really straighten.” She giggled evilly.

Thinking of this brought tears to Willow’s eyes. Tara just harshly threw Willow’s wallet into her lap and walked away. Before she walked out, she yelled “You ruined my life Willow Rosenberg!”

Oooh, an update! :bounce

I'm really enjoying this story - I love the way Willow's mindset keeps changing as she realizes she's not helping anything. She's falling in love with the power of being able to change history, as she demonstrates with the way she talks to the doctor and her almost casual thought about changing history if the cops come after her.

Also, I love how you're handling Tara and the incredibly difficult past she's had, and the way it's getting worse as Willow tries to fix it. Keep up the good work, and please update soon!

Hey, here’s another update. Hope you guys like it because most of it came from my brain and not the movie.

Willow stormed through her dorm halls and harshly opened the door. Buffy was sitting on Willow’s bed, reading the book Willow lent her.

“Hey, you’re back.” Buffy said.

“You’re on my bed! Get out!” Willow yelled, while she grabbed her composition books from under her bed.

“What’s wrong with you?” Buffy asked. “Did something go wrong with your trip?”

Willow looked at her evilly and grabbed a nearby chair. She slammed it into the wall, breaking it into pieces. Buffy’s eyes widened at the strength she never knew Willow had.

“I’m not going to say it again.” Willow said through clenched teeth.

Buffy didn’t want to deal with Willow at the moment so she left the room in a hurry. Willow sat on the bed nearby and read “I ran after Donny while holding on to Tara’s hand. The last thing I remember before the blackout was Donny yelling at me.”

Suddenly, she was back at the gas station in front of Donny.

“You want to know what my problem is?” Donny yelled.

Willow’s eyes widened at was going to happen next. It was like it was all in slow motion. Donny’s hand was flying towards the gas station. He was about to flick the cigarette from his hand when Willow lunged at him.

“No!” she yelled as she pushed his arm towards the building instead of the gas pumps. The cigarette flew in the window of the building.

“What the hell are you doing?” Donny yelled, pushing Willow away from him.

Willow stumbled back but caught her balance. “I just saved our fucking asses, that’s what I did!” she yelled as she pushed him back.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, a small fire was starting up in the building. It only took a couple of seconds before it was taller than the window.

“You guys, stop!” Tara yelled as she pulled Willow away from Donny.

“Tara, stay the fuck out of this!” Donny yelled.

“Don’t you yell at her!” Willow yelled in Donny’s face.

A piercing scream grabbed their attention. They turned to look at the building and noticed the fire growing inside of it.

“Oh my god!” Tara said in horror.

“Holy shit!” Donny yelled, afraid and shocked.

Willow’s eyes were wide with terror.

“Mommy!” a little girl’s voice yelled from inside the building.

“Fuck.” Willow muttered then ran towards the building.

“Willow, where the fuck are you going?” Donny yelled.

Willow just ignored him and kept running.

“Willow, don’t!” Tara yelled then ran after her.

“Tara!” Donny yelled while running after her.

Willow finally arrived at the door of the building and ran in. When she got in there, there were flames everywhere. She looked around and noticed the clerk on the floor, unconscious.

She dragged him towards the door and yelled to Donny “Take him!”

Donny grabbed him and dragged him to the driveway where he had Tara stay.

“Here, take care of him!” Donny told Tara.

While Tara was comforting him, Donny ran back and grabbed the woman from Willow’s arms. Once the woman and the clerk were safe, he ran back to Willow.

“Alright, everyone’s out! Are you done being the hero yet?” Donny yelled.

Willow stopped at the doorway and thought.

“What are you waiting for?” Donny yelled.

“There was a little girl, remember?” Willow yelled then ran back in.

“Willow, come on! The cops are coming!” Donny yelled.

Meanwhile, cars and people were crowding around, too scared to do anything.

Willow hurried to the back of the store, while covering her eyes from the flame.

“Ow!” she yelled as a flame hit her shoulder.

Finally, when she got to the frozen food section, she saw the little girl huddled in the corner, hugging her knees. Willow’s face softened and she knelt down to the little girl.

“I want my mommy.” The little girl cried.

“It’s okay. You’re going to be okay.” Willow comforted. “Come on.” She told her as she scooped her up in her arms.

Willow held the girl’s head towards her chest so her face wouldn’t get burned. Willow ran towards the door but a huge flame was in front of it. Surprised by its intensity, Willow jumped back.

“Shit!” she cursed, making the little girl cry even harder. “Donny, go to the window!”

She ran towards the window when a flame hit her on her arm. “Ow!” she yelled in pain. The tears were in her eyes from the pain she was feeling.

When she finally got there, Donny was waiting.

“Willow, this window is too small!” he yelled.

“She can fit!” Willow argued as she opened the window. She put the little girl through it and Donny grabbed her.

“What about you?” Donny asked.

“I’ll go to the door. There’s a huge flame by it but I could probably get past it!” Willow yelled over the noise of burning wood.

Donny nodded and ran towards Tara, handing her the little girl. The little girl ran out of Tara’s arms and into her mom’s.

Tara looked around and asked “Where’s Willow?”

“She’s still over there!” Donny told her.

“What?” Tara asked, getting scared.

They both ran to the door. Willow ran towards the door when a flame out of nowhere touched her side.

Aaah!” she screamed in pain.

With all of the flames inside, Donny could barely see her.

“Willow, just ran towards the door!” he told her.

She ran towards it but stopped when a large piece of wood from the ceiling fell in front of her. It landed sideways, blocking her only exit.

“No!!” Donny yelled in frustration and terror.

“Oh my god!!” Tara yelled, holding her hand over her mouth. Tears were running down her cheeks.

“Shit!” Willow muttered. She started to feel really terrified now. Her only exit was now blocked and the flames were growing rapidly. The flames got closer to her and she started screaming in pain.

“Help!” she yelled as loud as she could.

Donny and Tara could see her through the small cracks near the wood blocking the door and they didn’t know what to do. Another large piece of wood fell from the ceiling and onto Willow’s back.

“Ow!” she yelled loudly.

She fell on the floor with the large wood pinning her down. It was too heavy to lift by herself and was the only thing stopping her from getting up. She looked up and saw flames coming towards her face.

“Tara!!!” she yelled in terror.

“No!! Willow!!!!” Tara yelled back.

Tara’s voice started to echo and everything became black.

Willow opened her eyes quickly and jolted up from the bed. It took her a couple of seconds to calm down. Once she did, she looked around the white room. This definitely wasn’t a room she’d seen before. It was a hospital room and on the desk, there were flowers.

She looked at the edge of her bed and saw a robe lying there and a white mask next to it.

“Okay.” Willow said confused. “I think it’s time to get out of here.”

She sat up in the bed and reached for the robe. She stopped and her eyes widened when she saw her arm.

“What the hell?” she said, terrified.

Her arm was covered with burns. Her arm looked so ugly, she couldn’t look at it for very long.

“No, no, no!” she yelled. She got up and ran to the bathroom. She stood in front of the mirror, ready to turn on the light. She didn’t want to flick it on, afraid of what she was going to see. But she had to know.

She flicked it and her eyes widened. “Holy shit!!” she yelled.

Her face was all burned. She couldn’t even tell if it was her or not. All of her hair was gone, burned away. You couldn’t even see her ears. Her nose was almost all gone.

“Oh my god!” she whimpered, tears running down.

Her hands went to her face but she was afraid to touch it.

“What the fuck?” Willow muttered. “What the fuck is this shit?” she said loudly. She just sighed in frustration.

All of a sudden, she felt the familiar sensation start in her brain. Willow cringed from the amount of pain. The flashes started coming into her brain.

1. Willow was lying in her hospital bed with a white mask on her face.
2. Willow’s mom crying and smoking on her porch. 3 packs sitting next to her.
3. “Hey Willow.” Donny says happily, walking to her bed. Donny and Tara coming everyday to hang out with Willow.
4. Willow getting treatment from the doctor. A needle going into her back where the most severe burns were. Willow screaming into the night from the pain from the needle.
5. “I’ve met someone.” Tara says happily. Tara and a girl standing next to Willow’s bed, both holding on to each other.

Finally, the flashes stopped. Willow fell on the floor and started convulsing. Blood was running down from her nose and all over her chest. Just then, Donny walked into the room and saw Willow on the floor.

“Willow!” he yelled. He ran to her and tried to stop the blood flow but the blood just kept spurting out.

“Shit!!” he exclaimed when a lot squirted onto his clothes. He ran out to the hall and yelled “Help!! We need a doctor!”

Willow just saw the nurses and doctor run in. The world went black when they ran towards her.

Another fantastic update - I love your descriptions of Willow as her mental state slips further and further as she gets more and more desperate to change the past. Such a sad update, but so well written! I can't wait to see where you're going to take this story - you've totally got me hooked.

Hey everyone, I know its been a long time since I’ve updated. I was bored so I thought I might continue this one. Hope you like it :)

Later that day, Willow was lying on her bed with her mask on. The nurses put her robe on her and slipped her pink latex gloves on. They covered her whole arm, covering up the burns. Donny was sitting next to her playing checkers.

“So, how are you doing?” Donny asked.

Willow sighed and said “Fine, I guess.” She looked at his pocket and noticed a Christian pamphlet. She studied him for a second. He looked totally different. His hair was nicely cut and done, making him look like a good boy. Hell, for once it looked like he took a shower. His clothes were preppy looking and nice. She couldn’t believe he could even look like that.

Donny could tell she was upset so he decided not to talk. After a few moments of silence, a knock came at the door. Willow looked up and saw Tara standing there. All of her worries left for that moment.

“Hey.” Tara smiled.

“Hey.” Willow said excitedly.

When Tara stepped into the room, a brunette followed her in. Willow’s smile faded when she saw the girl’s arm around Tara’s waist.

“Hey Will.” The girl greeted nicely.

“Hey.” Willow said flatly.

Noticing that Willow was down, Tara said “Well, why don’t we go take a stroll outside?”

“Hey yeah, that sounds like a great idea.” Donny smiled.

“Yeah, I guess.” Willow said then allowed them to help her in her wheelchair.

They started strolling by the hospital, occasionally stopping to look at the nearby lake and birds. There were patients feeding the birds and sitting by the fountain. Tara was pushing Willow while Donny and Jennifer were walking next to her.

“So Will, how’s your Psych homework going?” Jennifer asked.

“Psych.” Willow said, realizing she forgot about the class. “Aw shit, I forgot about class!”

“Don’t worry we gave you your homework last night.” Jennifer said.

“You did?” Willow asked.

“Yeah, just like every night.” Jennifer furrowed her brow.

“Oh well, what’s the point of Psych class now?” Willow sighed, looking at herself in disgust.

Noticing the tension that was about to build, Donny decided to change the subject.

“So hey, we finally raised enough money for the church by using your suggestion Willow.” Donny said. “Now we’re going to have a dance tonight to celebrate. Won’t that be fun Will?”

“Fun, yeah.” Willow rolled her eyes. “Maybe I’ll take my dancing shoes and get some lights for my wheelchair. Then I could totally break dance in the middle of the floor!” she said sarcastically then her fake smile faded.

Donny looked at Tara, silently asking for her help.

“Why don’t WE just go for a stroll?” Tara told Willow. “We’ll see you guys later.”

“Alright, bye.” Jennifer said then gave Tara a chaste kiss on the lips. She took Donny over to the lake, while Tara rolled Willow over to a bench.

“Okay, what’s wrong with you?” Tara asked.

“Nothing, I’m just peachy.” Willow said harshly.

Tara just looked down and they sat there in silence.

Willow’s features softened and she spoke up. “Tara?” she said weakly.

Tara looked up at her.

“Do you ever think about us?” she asked her.

Tara looked at her in confusion.

“I mean, have you ever thought about the past. That maybe it could have worked out between us if I hadn’t of ran into that gas station?” Willow clarified.

“Well…sure Willow.” Tara said sympathetically. “I used to think about that all the time when we were kids. I always planned out our whole future together.”

Willow just smiled at the fact that Tara would do that.

“See first, Boom! We fall in love. Then we get married and have a bunch kids that we can’t control. And I’ve pictured me making pancakes and you trying to get a feel while my hand is slapping your hands away. Then we get old and sit on a porch together. Even our tombstones were right next to each other.” Tara smiled at her little fantasy.

Willow smiled too, listening to every word. “So, you think that… it could have worked out between us?” she asked the blonde.

“Well yeah, of course it would have.” Tara said. Her face fell and she said “But… that’s not how things turned out.”

Willow sadly looked up at her.

“I’m with Jennifer.” Tara put simply.

Willow could feel a lump forming in her throat.

“And Jennifer’s your friend now and that’s where it ends.” She finished.

They stared at each other for a few seconds, taking in what was just said. All the hope of being with each other was gone once Tara said those words. It really was over between them.

“If only I didn’t run into that damn gas station.” Willow muttered, not looking at Tara.

“Will, don’t say that.” Tara said. “You should be proud. You saved people. You sacrificed yourself for them.”

“Yeah, look at me now.” Willow said depressed.

“I think you’re the most beautiful person in this world.” Tara smiled.

Willow looked up and they locked eyes. The blue eyes she would always get lost in. But Tara’s eyes went to the side of her and her smile faded.

Tara looked to the side to see someone motioning for her to come over.

“Oh excuse me, Jennifer’s calling me.” Tara said then got up.

Willow turned and saw Tara run into Jennifer’s arms and kiss her on the lips. Tara actually looked happy. Happier than she had seen her in a long time. And it wasn’t with her. Tears formed in Willow’s eyes, cascading down her mask.

Willow sat in the bathroom, holding an empty needle to her arm. This was the only thing she could think of to do. She had to make the pain stop somehow and quickly.

Donny walked in and saw Willow sitting on the floor with the needle up to her arm. He ran to her and grabbed the needle before she could do anything.

“What the hell are you doing?” he asked, scared of the truth.

“I can’t take this.” She cried softly.

“Look, I know how hard it is but you can’t give up.” Donny said, holding on to Willow.

“I can’t even fucking kill myself.” Willow cried on his shoulder.

“Shh, don’t talk like that.” Donny said, patting her clothed back.

They sat there silently for a few minutes until Donny said “We have to get you dressed in your regular clothes. Visiting hours are almost up.”

Donny was pushing Willow down the halls of the hospital. Willow looked in the other rooms and noticed there were only patients who were on the verge of dying.

“Did my mom get transferred again?” Willow asked him. When she first woke up yesterday, she realized this was the hospital her mom worked in. If she had to be a patient in any hospital, she’s glad that she can at least be in her mother’s care.

“What are you talking about? She’s been here the whole time.” Donny frowned.

He slowly wheeled Willow in a room. Willow’s eyes widened at who she saw lying in the bed in front of her. Her mom looked so sick and helpless lying there, holding a breathing mask above her mouth.

“Mom?” Willow said.

“Hey… Sweetie.” She breathed slowly.

Willow looked at the chart on the edge of her mom’s bed. It was a bunch of the doctor’s scribbles but two words caught Willow’s eyes.

“Lung cancer?” Willow muttered. She paused for a moment and said “You started chain smoking when I burned myself up.”

“I’m sorry Ms. Rosenberg, she’s been kind of acting weird today.” Donny told her.

Willow wheeled herself closer to her mom’s bed while Donny left the room, giving them privacy.

“Mom, you’re going to be okay.” Willow smiled. “I can fix it.”

“You’re…sounding…just…like your father.” Her mom breathed slowly.

Willow let go of her mom’s hand and said “You’re not going to hurt anymore. I promise mom.”

Willow started wheeling out when Sheila breathed “No, Willow.”

Willow was searching throughout her hospital room, throwing stuff all over the place. When she reached a box that had AGE 7 written on it, she opened it. Inside were all of her composition books. She flipped through them to decide which memory to alter.

Willow sighed and read “I didn’t want to be in the movie anyway. It was cold and I wanted to wear my shirt. But Mr. Maclay took my shirt off.”

Suddenly, Willow was back in the basement.

“Alright, here we go again.” She sighed.

“Now in this part of the story-

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” The little Willow said.

Mr. Maclay frowned at her. “Excuse me?” he asked.

“Oh, cover your ears.” Willow told Tara, who did it right away.

Once her ears were covered, Willow said “Alright asshole! This is what’s going to happen. We’re going to pretend that nothing happened in this basement. You’re going to step aside while we play outside until my mom picks me up.”

“Wait, what’s going on?” Mr. Maclay asked.

“I’m trying to stop you from making the biggest mistake of your life.” Willow said.

“What are you?” Mr. Maclay asked, getting frightened.

Willow thought for a second and decided to have a little fun with this one.

“I’m…God, Donald.” Willow smirked.

“What?” he asked, confused.

“You heard me. I’m the big cheese and I’m just using this little girl’s body so I could speak to you.” Willow said. Inside, her laughter was building and it was ready to burst. “Now, I know the path you’re about to lead and wanted to stop you. Listen to me very carefully. I want you to treat Tara like the wonderful girl she is and I want you to support and always care for her, you hear me?”

“Y-yes.” He said, still stunned.

“Do everything you can to let her have a great life. And, I want you to do the same to Donny before he becomes a little punk, understand?”

“Yes sir, I won’t let you down.” Donald said.

“Good, don’t screw this up or I’ll have to send you to hell.” Willow smirked again.

All of a sudden, there was a flash and Willow opened her eyes. She sat up, which caused the bed sheet to slide off her naked form. Once she realized she was nude, she hastily pulled the sheet back up and looked around her. She was a warm, cozy little room that was nicely decorated. There were red drapes over the windows blocking the sun and there were melted scented candles everywhere.

“Where the hell am I?” she whispered.

Suddenly, she closed her eyes as she felt the pain creep back into her head. She grabbed her forehead and groaned in agony.

Willow breathes heavily while she lets her head go and slowly opens her eyes. “God, it hurts more everytime.” She said.

She looked to the alarm clock and saw that it was 7:30. Her eyes moved next to it and there was a picture of her and Tara. It looked like they were at the park and Tara was hanging on Willow’s back while they were laughing. A smile appeared on Willow’s face as she stared at this.

“Mmm morning.” A sleepy voice said behind her.

Willow turned and saw Tara stretching. Her hair was messy and her lipstick was smeared.

“Morning.” Willow smiled. ‘God she’s so beautiful’ she thought.

Tara’s eyes opened briefly, only to open again in shock.

“Willow, you’re bleeding!” Tara yelled.

Willow’s hand went to her nose and she said “Oh yeah, sorry, it usually happens.”

“You’ve never had a nosebleed before, are you okay?” Tara asked.

“Yeah I’m fine. Sorry bout the sheets.” Willow said, looking at the blood spots on their bed sheets.

“Here.” Tara said, grabbing a Kleenex. She dabbed and wiped Willow’s nose.

“Thanks.” Willow smiled.

“I guess last night really put a strain on you.” Tara smirked.

“Yeah and your turn to feel it.” Willow teased back then rolled onto Tara, quickly turning laughter into moans.

After a blissful morning, Willow was downstairs waiting patiently for Tara to finish making them pancakes. Willow smiled to herself and walked into the kitchen.

“They’ll be ready in a minute Will.” Tara said when she saw Willow walking towards her.

Remembering Tara’s fantasy of their home life together, she stepped behind her and started tickling her.

“Will!” Tara giggled. “Stop, you’re gonna make me burn the pancakes.”

“I just want to be close to you.” Willow smirked, encircling Tara’s waist.

Tara playfully swatted her hands away and turned off the pan. She scooped the pancakes onto a plate and handed them to Willow.

“Here, you can be close to that.” She told her.

Willow pouted and took a seat at the table, where she hungrily scarfed the food.

“Hungry much?” Tara asked, taking a sip of her coffee.

“Oh you know it.” Willow said, eyeing Tara up and down.

Tara rolled her eyes when a knock came at the door.

“Come in.” Tara said, putting the dishes away.

“Hey guys, morning.” Buffy said.

“Buffy!” Willow ran towards her and gave her a huge hug.

Buffy groaned and said “Hey Will, good to see you too.”

“I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever!” Willow pulled back.

“Yeah its only been twenty-four hours.” Buffy said, confused by her behavior. “Anyway, are you guys ready for school?”

“School yes! Definitely!! Lets go!” Willow yelled. She opened the door and the sun was shining down on them. “Ah what a perfect day! What a perfect life, come on guys!”

“Is she doing drugs we don’t know about?” Buffy asked Tara, who was equally confused.

After a bunch of kisses, Willow finally left Tara and went to her Psych class. She walked in through the door, seeing that the class already started.

“Miss Rosenberg?” the professor said.

“Please don’t get up, I’ll find a seat.” She said. She walked to an empty desk and said “Sorry I’m late, had a long night last night. But I’m here to learn, so lets get the education flowing! Hey, can I borrow a pencil?” she asked a girl next to her.

“Miss Rosenberg, can I see you outside for a minute?” he asked.

She furrowed her brow but followed him out.

Once they were outside, he asked “What are you doing back today?”

“Um, isn’t that my class?” Willow asked. “Cuz it says on this schedule-

“No, I meant back here in this college. Do you remember our conversation yesterday?” he asked.

“I guess not.” Willow said.

“You were failing this class so I had to kick you out. You were failing all of your classes actually. You were kicked out of this college.” He said.

“What?” Willow looked horrified. “But-but I couldn’t have failed. This is my major, how could I flunk out?”

“I’m sorry Miss Rosenberg. It was a pleasure to have you in my class though.” He said, walking back to the door. “Its okay, college isn’t for everyone.”

As he walked back in, Willow was about to lose it. She could hear him teach to his students and she wished that she was one of them. She had the perfect life…or so she thought. ‘Now what am I going to do?’ she thought.

TO BE CONTINUED..

UPDATE! WHOO-HOO! :party

It's so great to see this story updated. It's a great tale thus far, and only getting better!

This was a great update, too - one can really feel all of Willow's emotions as she goes through the range from depressed and angry to suicidal to blissfully happy to confused. You've really got a nice touch when it comes to describing her feelings - and of course, we're seeing the effects of what she's doing coming to the fore as she starts to have more nosebleeds, which are only going to get worse.

Favourite scenes from this update are Mrs. Rosenberg's reaction as Willow leaves her hospital room - she obviously has at least some idea what's going on - Tara's description of how she pictured their life together, and the pancake cooking scene that was exactly how she'd described it.

Great job so far, and I can't wait to read more!

Heather

Wow! I just found this fic and it kept me up waaaay past my bedtime. Highly suspenseful, and I never saw the movie cause I heard it had a stupid ending----so I'm really happy the ending is being changed. Even though this is loosely based on a movie, you do a great job of keeping the suspense, actions and emotions high so that a reader just can't stop reading it! Updates please.
