The scent that flowed threw her nose was intoxicating. Never in her life had she smelled something so wonderful. She breathed in the air that filled the space between her and the redhead. Not wanting this moment to end she sucked in another deep breath. The smell of strawberries and lilac spread threw her nostrils once again. "Absolutely beautiful," she thought as she closed her eyes. "If I could just touch her just once uhhh I can't even explain to you how happy I'd be, but I can't. She has her little group of friends I wish I could just go over there and--"
"Tara, how about you? What do you think about this?" a voice interupted as everyone in the class turned around and looked at her. "Why do teachers always have to do that?" she asked herself.
"Uhm, I-I don't know," shaking her head she looked down with a deep flush of red covering her cheeks. Looking back over at the redhead she noticed her green eyes looking back at Tara with a smile plastered to her face. "She's smiling at me!!" her mind screamed and smiled back.
Willow turned her attention back towards the front of the room. Tara was still looking at the redhead, day dreaming. The redhead felt some kind of presence and turned around to find Tara looking at her. She smiled at her, but the shy blonde ducked her head her blonde hair covered her face. Once again Willow turned her attention back to the front of the room.
Finally, what seemed like forever in hell the bell rang. Tara quickly rushed the the crowded classroom and headed to the lunchroom. After grabbing a plate of noodles and salad she approached an empty table and sat down deep in thought. "I wonder what her name is. She has such beautiful green eyes and red hair. I wish I could--"
"Hey may I sit here?" a voice interupted.
"Oh my god it's her!!" Tara's mind screamed. "What do I say? Say something you idiot." she thought. "Uhm y-yeah sure," she smiled. "Treterous stutter!! Why can't I ever say anything without looking like an idiot?"
"Thanks it's just there's no other available tables and I saw you in phycology today. Are you new?" she asked. "It's just I don't think I've ever seen you before. I'm Willow by the way Willow Rosenberg," she explained as she stuck out her hand.
Taking the redheads hand into her own she immediatly saw a connection, "T-tara Maclay," she smiled letting go of her hand and takintg a bite to eat.
"Pretty name," Willow complimented and let go of Tara's hand.
"T-thanks," Tara smiled. After finishing their lunch and getiing to know each other a little better the bell rang. "Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" Tara asked hopeful.
"Why tomorrow why not after school?" Willow smiled. "I'm sure I could show you around if you'd like."
"R-really? I mean I, I don't know. I don't think I can."
"Why not it'll be fun," she pleaded taking her arm in her own.
"I uhm o-ok s-sure," Tara replied a little nervous.
"I'll meet you after class then," Willow smiled and let go of her arm. Immediatly after Tara missed the contact between them.
"O-ok, i-it was nice to meet you," she smiled.
"Yeah, you too," Willow replied smiling back and then headed off to her next class leaving Tara in thought.
"She's gunna meet me after school! I am the luckiest person on earth," she thougth then headed off to class.

After school Tara waited for Willow outside of the front of the building near a small ever green tree. She sat in the grass her back snuggled up against the trunk of the tree. Finally, Willow approached.
"Hey," Willow smiled. "You ready?"
Tara nodded and stood up. "Yeah, I'm ready."
"Good. I think we'll start over at the bronze. It's this dance club you'll love it and I'm suppossed to meet my friends there so you'll get a chance to meet them too."
"Ok," Tara replied wanting so badly for Willow to snake her arm into her own but it never happened.
"Well, here we are," Willow explained, "this is the bronze. I know it looks crappy from the outside, but wait 'till you get inside," Willow smiled taking Tara by the arm and dragging her threw the glass doors.
Inside the music was blaring everyone was having a good time. They were all dancing and jumping up and down. They were really into it, but Tara had a different idea.
"I-I don't think I should be here."
"Why not it's so much fun just wait 'till you meet the gang," Willow replied pulling Tara deeper into the crowd of people.
Unsure but wanting to be with Willow Tara followed. "Ok, but just for a little bit."
"Hey there they are," Willow smiled and lead her towards a group of people sitting at a high wooden table near the bar. "Hey guys I'd like you to meet Tara she's new here. Tara this is Buffy," she explained pointing to the blonde on the right, then to the black haired guy on the left, "and this is Xander."
"H-hey," Tara smiled.
"Hey," Buffy and Xander replied.
"So where's Anya and Riley?" Willow asked.
"Riley couldn't come on some type of mission," Buffy explained not wanting to inform Tara about the badies in town.
"And Anya's in the bathroom, I think she had to much to drink." Xander replied.
"W-well guys this has been a pleasure, but I have to be going now m-my parents don't know where I am and they'll probably freak."
"Yeah parents psh always worrying about where we are were fricken 18 as in adults I don't understand why they can't give us a little freedom," buffy said.
"No, Tara you can't go you just got here plus we didn't get a chance to dance."
"T-thanks for the offer, but I really have to go," she said noticing a figure in the back of the bronze watching her.
"We'll at least let me walk you home?" Willow asked.
"O-ok, that would be nice."
"Guys I'll be right back."
"You want me to come with too?" Buffy asked a little concerned about it sunnydale and even in the daylight there could be demons about.
"Sure," Willow smiled and walked away leaving Xander behind.
"Fine! Just leave I'm sure I'll find something to keep me busy," he said scanning a tall blonde haired woman walking his way, "aye caramba," he announced his heart skipping a beat. "Nope probably a demon not even gunna fall for that one, where's Anya when you need her."
-------------------------------------
"We'll I'm glad you at least let me show you the bronze and walk you home," Willow smiled, "Maybe we can get together again sometime?"
"Y-yeah sure t-thatd be great. Well, I'll see you tomorrow?" she asked and Willow nodded. "Night," Tara smiled and waved good-bye "Im in so much trouble," she thought not wanting to find out what will happen as she walked in the door.

"Tara Elizabeth Maclay, where in gods name have you been?!" her father shouted running towards her. "Don't you ever do that again!" He exclaimed slapping her accross the face with his metal belt.
He hit her so hard she lost her balance and fell to the floor. "D-daddy I'm sorry I made some friends they where showing me around."
"Well from now on you are strictly to come home after school and I'll make sure to that do you understand?"
"Yes Daddy," she said lowering her head.
"Good now why don't you go freshen up dinners in the oven."
Tara nodded and rushed up to her room.
