Part 7:
The alarm went off vibrating all the way through the night stand. Continuously humming, until Willow couldn't take it anymore. She stopped walking and grabbing the clock she threw it against the bed's back board until it dimmed down, until a slow whining could be heard. Tara shot Willow a shocked look.
"What? you didn't like that alarm clock from the first day i bought it!"
Willow continued to pace the room.
"Are you ok honey? you seem really distant, don't you want to come to London?"
Seeing the sudden pained look on Tara's face, she took her hand.
"Tare, of course i want to go, it's just, i've been there before, and i didn't really intend on going back."
Tara's face went back to pained with a slight tinge of confusion.
"W-what do you mean? you didn't like it?"
"Oh, London is a nice place, at first, then you realise people there are just back stabbers, meanies, big ones!"
Tara stood up suddenly, and started panicking.
"I-I thought they were warm and Gentle, like other Giles'! So they're mean?? I-I don't think i want to go now-."
Somewhat bewildered, Willow started to flap her arms around in a bid to calm her lover.
"No! the British are nice people! goddess i'm sorry, i just had a bit of bad luck. The people are great i promise."
Feeling dazed and confused, Tara sat on the bed where Willow once was.
"So who's the back stabber? It isn't Giles is it? oh no, i thought he was a good guy..."
Willow was visibly shocked from the way she hung onto the bed, trying not to slip over the edge.
"I've never seen you this pannicked before, you babble like me!"
Tara obviously didn't hear as she continued to ramble to herself.
"Tara? baby? TARA!!"
"Yeah?"
She stood up again, as Tara sat down.
"Ok first if all, Giles is a good guy, secondly, the British are great, and thirdly i'll tell you, its just, please don't freak out ok?"
Willow sat down, this time Tara stayed.
"O-ok."
"Right. Because when i stayed over there for those two months, do you remember? you had to feed my fish." Tara nodded politely.
"Well while i was over there i met someone, a girl. Her name was Georgia. We were the same age, and i stayed a few doors away with my Auntie. I don't want to go back because, even though it was only two months, we had built something, and she cheated, with another girl. I know your mom knows my auntie well, and we will probably be staying with her."
Tara didn't know where to hide her tears, she fumbled with her fingers and continued to stare at the bedspread.
"Tara, baby please, don't cry, i don't want to see her again, simply because i know she'll try to split us up. She's manipulative, and evil, and i don't want her to hurt you, not like she had hurt me, that much pain isn't worth it."
Tara started to cry harder, but this time staring into Willow's eyes.
"D-did you l-love her?"
Willow held Tara's face softly, stroking under her chin with her thumb.
"Baby, regardless of what i felt for her, i-i love you, Tara, i really do."
Taras tears stopped for a second.
"Really? thats good cos I love you too sweetie."
Willow took the opportunity to hold Tara soflty, wrapping her arms round her, letting them gather her.
"I'm never gonna let you go, beautiful. I love you so damn much it hurts to see you cry. I don't ever want to hurt you, you mean everything, from the first day i met you 5 years ago, to this moment, i have only ever loved you more each day, each night, every time you look at me with your glowing eyes, and your smile, and when i see you i always have the urge to shout out your name, let everyone know you're coming this way. You'll never know what you mean to me, no-one can break this love, it's too strong."
Letting out a small smile, Tara softly whispered, "That's the first time we ever said we loved each other."
Willow managed a small smile. "I know. I mean it so much, i love you, you are my everything Tare."
Wiping her tears, the blonde got up off of the bed and moved over to the bathroom where she splashed her face with cold water.
"C'mon Will, Buffy wanted to see us like an hour ago or something, we should go."
"Ok, but promise me you won't let this affect you, it's not worth it, we will have a great time, ok?"
Tara nodded with slight hesitation, unseen by Willow.
"Ok sweetie, lets go......."
Reaching the Summer's house, Tara pulled out her door keys and slowly turned them through the lock. She didn't know why she was being so careful, yet she continued with caution.
Opening the door, before her stood Faith and Buffy, both looking strangely suspicious, yet very worked up.
"Hey. You ok guys? you look like you've just trained Faith, and well Buffy, i don't know what you are."
Willow sat down also carefully observing their body language.
"Yeah, yeah we're fine, just had a little spar, nothing big, s'ok."
Tara nodded humourously. Buffy carried on.
"So, you guys ok about the whole London thing? We will be leaving around 6:00am on Thursday-"
"Thursday??" Willow jumped out of her seat. "Thats in 3 days time!"
"I know, which is why i asked if it was ok with you guys."
Tara pulled Willow back into her chair. "I-it's ok Buffy, we just didn't know, you didn't tell us."
Mentally slapping herself, Buffy blushed. "Oh yea! shit, sorry! Faith why didn't you remind me?"
The slayer looked up. "Hey, don't put this on me B, it's not my fault, we were fu-talking, and i completely forgot."
Tara caught onto Faith's slip, her eyes popped out on their stalks.
"Buffy, can i talk to you for a minute?"
"Erm, sure Tare, be right back guys."
Tara casually pulled Buffy into the kitchen, closing the door abruptly and standing over Buffy slightly.
"You fucked Faith?"
Buffy tried to avoid eye contact as she searched for a chair to sit on.
"In my bed?"
"No! never, i-in Willow's. Don't tell her please, she'll kill me."
Tara couldn't believe her ears, she also searched for a chair.
"You mean while me and Will were together, you we're getting it on with my best friend?"
Buffy stood up, obviously angry.
"You mean like you did mine? You think it's different, between you and Willow?"
Tara sunk low in her chair, bowing her head.
"Exactly, i like her Tare, i really do, it was both our decisions, you can't stop it."
"I know Buff, it's just, you never told me anything, i told you how i felt about Willow, why didn't you?"
Still trying to avoid this mess, Buffy headed for the fridge, and pulled out a carton of milk, poured a glass and drunk it.
"Tare, I didn't know how i felt, i didn't know i even liked girls, please don't have a go at me, you don't know how i felt, i didn't even know."
From beyond the door, Willow and Faith decided to enter the kitchen, just hearing every word that was said.
"Your mom's coming down from her room, try and get along for now, we can all talk about this later, ok?"
Willow reasoned, Buffy and Tara excepted.
Joyce entered the room to be greeted by four big smiles.
"Ok, what's happened? and why are Willow and Tara over here so early in the morning?"
Tara stepped forward to answer the question. "We are here because Buffy rung us to tell us about your prize trip to London, only she didn't tell us it was this Thursday?"
Looking rather confused, Joyce asked, "Is that a problem?"
WIllow this time stepped forward. "Well kinda, cos we have no 'holiday' clothes, and Tara has new classes at her new college, and do you know where we are staying?"
Joyce smiled. "You have enough clothes, all four of you, oh and Faith's coming by the way, Tara. And i spoke to your new professers and they said they could catch you up afterwards. And Willow honey, we are staying at your Aunties, that ok?"
Willow didn't know what to say, she looked at Tara who looked as if she was going to burst into tears, Buffy also shot Willow a worried look."
"Will, can i see you outside for a moment?" Buffy asked hurriedly.
"Sure."
"Did you tell Tara about Georgia? What are you going to do?"
Willow paced up and down the driveway.
"Yeah i told her, and there's nothing i can do, but see what happens. But there is no way i'm letting her get to Tara, i won't let her. I love her Buffy."
"Well Will, i trust you, i know you won't hurt Tara. It's just, what if she tells Tara about what happened after you two broke up?"..........
