Willow walked hurriedly to her destination. She knew that no-one was watching her, but she felt like she was being followed. She always felt like that when she was on her way to Rack’s.
She had told Buffy and Dawn that she was going over to the University Library to do some studying. Every time she lied to them, she felt bad, but she couldn’t deny that it also made things more exciting.
Apart from Giles, she was the sensible one of the group. She was the mature one; the one who had problems of her own but also had to deal with her friends’ many problems. Now, she was addicted to magic; dark magic. And it felt good…really good.
She turned a corner and felt that she was near. She knew that even if Rack’s waiting room was full she would be seen as soon as she walked in. He liked her, and that scared her slightly.
She walked through the invisible barrier, and to her surprise the waiting room was empty. She walked forward and opened the door that led to Rack’s room.
She got a surprise when she saw that Rack was not alone. He was with a blonde girl; a beautiful blonde girl.
“Oh, sorry, I’ll come back.” She said quickly.
“No, Strawberry, wait. Come here for a minute.” She heard Rack say.
She walked over nervously and looked at the girl. She was…gorgeous. There was an angelic look about her, but Willow could feel the darkness that surrounded the girl.
“This is Tara. Tara, this is Strawberry, she’s my other favourite.” Rack said.
Willow smiled at Tara, and Tara smiled back. And the connection was made.

Willow smiled as she walked back onto the street. She felt great, but she knew the feeling wouldn’t last. As soon as she got home she would probably be throwing up. But it was worth it if it made her feel special.
She turned the corner and saw Tara leaning against the wall. She walked over to her.
“Hey.” Willow said quietly.
“Hey” Tara replied, “I was waiting for you. I thought maybe we could talk.”
Willow smiled, “sure, what do you want to talk about?” She asked.
“Is your name really Strawberry?” Tara asked nervously.
Willow laughed slightly, “No, it’s Willow. It’s only Rack who calls me Strawberry.” She replied.
“Same here, he calls me Blondie. It’s so annoying.” Tara replied.
“So how long have you been going to him?” Willow asked.
“Four years, ever since my mom died. How about you?” Tara asked.
“Oh, I’ve only been coming for a few weeks.” Willow replied.
“So, what major trauma made you turn to dark magic?” Tara asked.
Willow frowned, “Nothing really, I just felt…empty. I know that sounds lame-”
“No, it doesn’t sound lame at all. Everyone has their own pain.” Tara said seriously.
“Thanks, I’m sorry about your mom.” Willow said.
“Don’t be. It was a long time ago.” Tara replied.
They walked in silence for a few more minutes. Both of them felt completely at peace in the company of the other. The only thing they both thought would be better than walking with each other was kissing each other.
Willow looked up and realised they had reached Buffy’s house. She turned and faced Tara.
“This is my stop.” She said sadly.
“Oh,” Tara replied, suddenly feeling sad that Willow had to go.
“Maybe we could hang out another time?” Willow asked hopefully.
Tara nodded, “I could meet you here tomorrow, or you could come over to my dorm, whatever you want.” She replied.
“I’ll come over to yours.” Willow said quickly. For some reason, she didn’t think she should introduce her friends to the dark magic addict she was having feelings for yet.
Tara pulled out a piece of paper and pen from her bag and quickly wrote out her address and gave the paper to Willow.
“Thanks.” Willow replied.
Tara smiled at her, and they stared into each other’s eyes for a good five minutes.
Tara suddenly plucked up the courage to do the thing she had wanted to do ever since she first laid her eyes on Willow.
She leaned forward and pushed her lips against Willow’s lightly. Their kiss was short, but it was enough proof for both of them that they were deeply attracted to the other.
Tara gave Willow one more quick kiss, before walking off, leaving Willow staring after her dreamily.
