Beamer2131@yahoo.comPairing: W/T of course, possibly some Buffy/Spike possibly my orig. charc. Briannus could find an SIT he likes to early to tell
Distribution: Email me if you think you’d like to post it somewhere
Rating: PG-13 to R dont write sex scenes to well so dont count on many
Feedback: By all means, I’ll read it, but if I don’t reply it’s because im such a lazy bastard don’t take it personally.
Summary: Ok, this idea has been brewing in my mind since that sad day season 7 started. It starts just the same, then I introduce my original character, Briannus, from there much suspense in sues, but I promises there will be Willow Tara goodness and much other goodness.
Notes: Briannus is a demon from heaven, as old as the earth, he is one of the strongest beings in existence, with one draw back, an altercation with the first eons ago left him infected with evil, and if he gets mad he goes insane, short and simple, if hes pissed anyone on a 250 mile radius is screwed. There will be the SIT’s in this story, No JFK, but my creativity won’t let me stay true to season 7 now.
**Thoughts in single quote**
Last Time....
“So what was he doing by Tara’s grave?’ Xander said as he shifted his focus from Anya to Buffy and back again.
“Hold on, he was by Tara’s grave?” Anya said. “Oh shit, that can’t be good.”
“What do you mean?” Buffy said as she got up.
“Buffy, if he was by Tara’s grave then there is no doubt in my mind what he plans to do,” Anya said as she moved closer to the window that overlooked the cemetery. “He’s gonna try to bring her back.”
Chapter 5: Mystical Catalyst
“Okay were all set,” Dawn said as she and Willow sat down on the sofa to watch a move. Dawn hadn’t wanted to watch a sappy romantic movie, for fear it would remind Willow of Tara, nor did she want to watch a action movie for the same reason, so she chose one of the oh so many comedies out there, she had borrowed American Pie from a friend earlier that week, so she decided to watch it.
“Dawnie, are you sure Buffy would appreciate you watching this movie, I mean look at all this bad language and adult content,” Willow said as the movie progressed.
“Oh please, if Buffy only new of some of the things I watched, besides I’m almost 16, I’m gonna be able to drive soon, why won’t you guys treat me like an adult?” she said looking at Willow.
“Hey, I think that you are very mature and should be treated as an adult, now back to the movie, I can’t help but feel connected with this band geek, she’s so much like me during high school,” Willow said as Dawn giggled at her comment.
Outside the Summers residence, Briannus stood there, just staring at the door as if willing it to open, but not wanting it too, he was planning, he needed to get those two out of the house, near his target, but how.
“Maybe it will just happen,” he said as he turned to head to his surrogate house, next to the slayers house. “Yeah, I bet I can get this done by the end of the night,” he said optimistically as he went into the house and closed the door.
Once inside, he came face to face with a familiar blonde woman.
“Why isn’t my daughter back yet?” Grace said as she stared Brian down
“I only have to get those two next door to the site, then I can do it,” he said as he moved to sit down on the couch.
“I’m putting my trust in you Brian, the powers that be might like this idea,” she said as she moved to sit down beside him, “but, I have seen the future without Tara, and it is not a pretty one.”
“I know, I know,” he said as he stood up, a little agitated by all of the pressure being put on him. “I’m risking my demon hood by doing this, if you wrong and she wasn’t supposed to die, then I’m pretty much screwed.”
“Don’t worry it will all be fine,” Grace said as she went to exit, “I know in my heart she wasn’t supposed to die, now you need to right that wrong Brian, tonight.”
As she disappeared Briannus got up and looked at the window as he noticed to figures starting to move around in the slayers house, his eyes turned completely white as he peered into there mystic abilities, “Tonight.”
“I have to say that I could have done without that whole pie scene,” Willow said as she got up off of the couch and walked into the kitchen, she peered out the window as her thoughts shifted from the movie to a very familiar thought, a beautiful blonde.
“Do you want to go see her?” Dawn said as she walked into the kitchen.
“Yeah, that would be great,” willow said, she was ready to accept this, she just needed to see her one more time.
“Okay, let me get my coat,” Dawn said as she ran upstairs, she was happy that she could help Willow with this, plus she would have an excuse to go to see Tara’s grave..again.
They made their way out of the house, and down the street towards a very sad spot in both of their hearts. Neither noticed the being walking behind then cautiously.
“It’s right up here,” Dawn said pausing, “I come here a lot, you know, I like to think that if I talk to it, she will hear me.”
“Yeah I know what you mean,” Willow said as she braced her self for the wave of emotion she knew was going to hit her. Nothing could have prepared her though, when she saw the name in gold on the stone she immediately fell to her knees in front of it. “hey baby,” she said choking back her sobs. Slowly she traced the letters of the name over and over again.
Neither noticed the vampire that had just raised in the grave only a few plots back, he thought he had himself an easy first meal.
As he approached though something grabbed him from out of a bush, “not tonight pal,” Briannus said, “those two are mine,” he said as she produced a steel stake from out of thin air, and hit the vamp right in the chest, then with a wave of his hand the stake vanished.

“Wait, wait,” Xander said as he got his composure back, “Why would he want to bring her back?”
“I don’t know but he has been taking orders from the powers that be for the past 500 years and almost all of them have been for resurrections,” Anya said, remembering witnessing one of the such times she was with him. “He is one of the only being strong enough to master the magic's for a pure resurrection.”
“Then how di you manage to do it to me?” Buffy asked confused by the statement.
“Your death was mystical, and you died defending this dimension, so the powers that be gave you a second chance,” Anya said as she turned to face Buffy. “But, for people who have died because of human means and couldn’t be brought back by regular magic's, Briannus can do it.”
“Well, there still is the question of ‘why?’” Xander said as he scratched his head in confusion.
“Maybe we should get to her grave,” Anya said as she moved to the door, “If you spoke with him last night, then he is gonna do it soon, he likes to work quickly.”
The three of them rushed out the door and towards the cemetery that was right by Anya’s apartment complex.
Briannus moved quickly but quietly behind the two women, he had to catch them by surprise he if he wanted to get the ingredients he needed.
“I miss you so much,” he heard Willow say as she continued to trace the letters of her dead lovers name.
“Your pain may be eased by the end of the night,” he said as the two by the grave turned around in surprise to find themselves staring ito two burning green eyes, blue streak of lightning flashed across the sky as they got closer to each other.
“Come on you guys,” Buffy said sprinting towards the spot she had stopped by many times after patrol.
“Hey, your a slayer,” Xander said panting. “Your made for this type of thing.”
“Woah,” Anya said as they all stopped as the sky started to release blue lightning bolts. “were close, that Briannus’s magic, he’s harnessing it.”
“His magic is in lightning,” Xander sid as they started to run again.
“Well, it’s a long story,” Anya said as they ran through some trees, “I’ll tell you if we live through this.”
“What makes you think that he will hurt us,” Buffy said as they rounded the bend before the clearing Tara’s grave was in.
“Yeah, I thought he was all nice and heavenly,” Xander said
“Heavenly, yes, nice, well he is when people aren’t screwing up his job,” Anya said as they entered the clearing
“Oh god,” was all Buffy got out before they all stopped dead in their tracks. There they saw the demon they were after standing there with his hands in the air, but that wasn’t what scared them, it was the to women standing no the grave, and the two gigantic balls of blue energy now formed above them in the clouds.

“What to do you want!” Willow yelled at him as he raised his hands in the air.
“I only wish to help,” Briannus said as he started to chant the incantation, “All will be explained later.”
“We’ll see about that,” Willow said as she started to build up some of her magical energy for a defensive spell, but just as she did, she felt her energy bottled, binded in her.
“Don’t try that with me Willow,” he said as he stared down the red headed witch
‘How does he know my name’ Willow said not wanting to ask the question, for fear of the answer.
“I have to do this,” he said as he put his hands down from the air and pointed them at the two women, then shouted a few choice words in latin. The two balls of energy above them shot lightning bolts that struck each of the women.
As the bolts went through them, cuts broke open on there on their hands, and blood began to pour out onto the earth of Tara’s grave. After enough had fallen, he stopped the flow, and threw the two women away from the grave and by their friends who had cautiosly began to move up.
“See,” he said looking back at the two shaken women who were now getting to their feet. “That didn;t hurt at all.”
Buffy was ready to go into action, she got ready to charge at the demon, but Anya grabbed her, “hey, you might be a slayer, but he will still kill you without a second thought, he doesn’t care how many times you’ve saved the world, he’s done it more.”
Buffy saw no good thing in dying, so she calmed down for the time being.
Briannus was now summoning the portal to O’sirus, he had to get the soul released.
“O’sirus, release the soul for which I desire,” he yelled as O’sirus appeared in the sky.
“Briannus, the soul which you desire cannot be released, the powers that be have not given me permission.” he said as he began to close the portal, but as he did, Briannus summond some deep powers within him, and kept the portal open.
“You’ve never seen my true powers,” he said, “I can hurt you bad enough to release that soul, now I don;t want to have to, but I will.”
“I’m sorry,” he said trying to close the portal,”but, it can’t be done.”
As he said that Briannus shot a bolt of lightning, into the portal that hit O’sirus right in the face.
He screamed, but could still not close the portal, “If I release the soul, you have to promise that you will not implicate me to the powers,” he said still feeling immense pain for the bolt that hit him.
“Fine, just release the soul,” he said as a ball of light slowly decended from the sky.
Willow immediately felt something inside her brighten as the ball of light went deep into the ground.
Briannus went on with the chanting and concentrated on reuniting the body and soul, it was very hard though, he was getting interferance from something. This something didn’t want him to succeed, but he battled through it, the blood of the key really helped him to make it through what seemed to be a barrier of pure evil in the ground.
He felt it, he was sure that willow had too, the soul was intact, and in Tara’s body, he was on the brink of passing out, the pain was excrusiating, but he had one last thing to do, slowly he managed to get the rest of his energy together, the earth started to move, raise.
Willow got up and ran to where the earth was moving, she was about to make it to the demon when she ran into a barrier of magic protecting himself from anyone coming in. “Oh god, what’s he doing?” she yelled
The coffin landed on the gound with a loud thud, as did Briannus soon after, Willow felt the magical barrier fall and ran to the coffin, the rest of the scoobies did the same except for Buffy who ran over to the demon who had started to get back up.
Briannus knew it was coming, it happened after every resurrections he did, he sat up and started to heave, then he threw up a white milky liquid, pure power, lethal to any human, it burned the ground as it evaporated towards the heavens.
Willow ran over to the coffin and tore open the lid, she wasn;t thinking about what she would see, only what had happened to Tara’s body. She lost it when she saw her dead lover, the tears fell, she laid her head on her lovers chest and just cried.
Just as she had something happened, Tara’s heart started again faintly, then got stronger, and a pair or blue eyes shot open, in wonder and disbelief.
        “W-willow?”
