Summary: What happened after they blew the candle out.
So, here it is:
“Starting right now.”
“Right now?”
“Mmm hmm.”
Tara blew the candle out with a gentle blow, leaving the two girls cradled in darkness. Quickly, their eyes adjusted to the dark, and they gazed upon the steady stream of smoke rising from the extinguished flame. Then, both women were surprised to witness not one, but two columns of smoke emerging from the candle.
“What the-,” Willow started, taking a step forward.
But Tara chided her with a gentle “Shhh,” as she watched the smoke.
They both observed the curious strands of smoke ascend towards the ceiling, not sure of what to expect. Then, smoothly, the strands started to intertwine together. They continued to weave, becoming tighter and closer together as they progressed. Finally, they seemed to form only one single thread of mist before forming a heart and quickly dissolving.
Now the girls looked from each other, to the candle, and back to each other- Willow’s mouth agape, and Tara’s brow crinkled. Both knew that something magickal was involved, and they momentarily realized that it was a sign from a higher Power. It seemed as though something had acknowledged their growing connection, and both girl’s anxieties were swiftly washed away.
Now, Willow and Tara found each other’s eyes, and as blue met green, all apprehension was washed away with the foreboding smoke. They both realized that they had found their one true love, their soul mate, and that from now on everything would be all right.
With a silent, mutual understanding, the young women stepped forward into the other’s arms. Their lips connected, and happiness was found.
So, what do you think? Should I lamely try to continue?
