Hey there sweetie. I am so glad that you decided to post your poem. It conveys so much emotion. I believe you have done well to capture the thoughts and feeling of Willow. Good job. Please keep posting more poems.

oh yay! another poet! you know, we don't have nearly enough of them on the Pens. it's rather sad actually. :(

hmmm, this was a lovely bit of writing. you captured some very powerful emotions in a wonderful way.

Quote:
I just don't understand

how a single moment of a single day

could take away what we had

this struck me for two reasons. 1)*sniffle* it's so sad! and 2)gotta love the word placement.

so, you gonna post more poems or do i have to whimper? (it's really pitiful, please dont make me do it)

*woof*

That was fantastic - you are going to post more right? If not, I will be forced to start up a petition to make you ;) I really liked the rhyming couplets that you used, I often find it harder to write in rhyme as you are then so restricted in your choice of words, so well done. Keep writing!

That poem is really absolutely wonderful! You think 'wow can this get even more depressing' and then 'yes it can' and at the end there is the hope that Im so craving for! :)

Hope is always necessary!

That was so well written! Need to see more, too:)

Thank you! :)

New Poem

Postby Tara22 » Fri Sep 20, 2002 4:42 am

Oh my gosh!! Thank you all so much for the reviews!! :grin

I love writing poetry, but I always get all nervous showing people cause everyone's poetry style is so individual and unique.... I'm always like... 'oh gosh no! their's was amazing, and look at mine' *shudder* means alot getting the feedback stuff! and since you all asked so nicely I wrote another one today, that I figured I'd share (oh who am I kidding!? I wrote it to share...) Anyway, It is set after the end of Entropy and before the end of Seeing Red, as far as I'm concerened the end of Seeing Red doesn't even happen...

My poem is a letter in poem form, I wrote it as something that Willow might have written for Tara after they got back together in Entropy. I hope you like it!

Your smile was like this tiny spark

That kindled in my heart

And as I got to know you

You made a fire start

You helped me to see

Beyond the solid and the real

You opened my soul, enriched me

Taught me how to feel

To appreciate all things in life

No matter how small they appear

And to see the good things when they are there

And always hold them dear

You touched me in a way

Nobody else could do

And that is why it kills me

Every time I think of what I did to you

Believe me baby, when I say

I never wanted to change you

I wouldn’t want you any other way.

I guess I was just stupid

Not to see the effect it had on me

But you showed me baby

I was not who I wanted to be

The time I spent away from you

Plagues constant on my mind

Please let me make it up to you

Cause all we have is time.

I may not be so smart

Or so mature

But there are things I do know about this life

Things of which I’m sure

That life’s what we make of it

As cliché as that may sound

And in my search for true meaning

You are what I found

I just want to apologise for the pain I put you through

I just want to promise

That I’ll always be right here, waiting, watching

I’ll be here for you

And no matter where we are in the future

This flame will stay burning still.

You are amazing

I love you Tara

Yours always,

Will

Poetry In Motion

Postby KISMIC » Fri Sep 20, 2002 11:47 pm

My God you write brilliant poetry too!?! If I find out you can write fanfic I will then become extremely jealous of your talent.

Great poems, my fave parts were:

"it's hard to think that I have to live/my life without you here/a life that means nothing/a life that has no point/cause you were my purpose"

and

"So this simple task of living/has now become a chore/

just waking up each morning/hurts me more and more."

Just beautfull wording and quite possibly not the best thing for anyone to read before watching any s6 episode past "TR"!

But I know what you mean, I've written some poem, too, but when I look at all the good stuff here, I just think: gosh, what am I writing here, that is crap! Well, literally. So I think im never going to show it to anyone...

Anyway, thank you, cant wait for the next one!

New Poem

Postby Tara22 » Sat Sep 21, 2002 10:41 pm

Ok...

first of all thank you ALL so much!!!

you are all so nice!! :D

Drakkenfyre: oooh, thank you!! I'm so glad you liked it! It's nice to have a place to post my poetry! I have been writing poems for years (all of which aren't really Willow & Taraish, so they wouldn't fit in this thread) and have never really had a place to show people, of course I'd read em to my mom and my sister, but you know how that is... 'oh, that was wonderful!' when they are really thinking, 'ok... ech... go away you're wasting my time!'

bulldog tidnab: Thank you so much!! You like my rhyming style? I am flattered! I feel silly sometimes, you know... because poems don't have to rhyme and if the truth be told most of the best ones don't, so I kinda feel like mine are silly, sometimes... Really glad you liked em!!

thehighpriestess: Oh no! What have I gotten myself into? :shock :grin but seriously! I am glad you liked em!! Thanks for reviewing em!!

ninjitsugrrl: Thanks so much!! I'm really glad you liked them!!

Kristy: Thanks!! That was so nice!! I'm glad you liked em! about the fanfic, as Vix said I have written one (two actually)

Only in my dreams, and a song fic

Crazy for this girl

pub106.ezboard.com/fthekittenthewitchesandthebadwardrobe36671frm4.showMessage?topicID=583.topic

You can read em and decide if you like em, for yourself

Vix: Aaaaaw :blush Thank you so much!!! :D

TheWhiz: Thanks!! :bounce I am so excited!! you know, sharing my poems and stuff, always excitement and anxiety in it!! Really glad you liked the letter format!

pacou: Thank you so much!! I am glad you liked my poems!! and the letter format! (aaaw, special... :grin ) you write poetry? you should share it some time... not that I am saying on the net, to tons of people, but to a friend or a family member, you know, get a feel for what other people think of it... who knows maybe you write brilliant poems, you just don't know it...

Allrighty then... here is my new poem,

It is Tara's emotional struggle at the end of Tabula Rasa, knowing she has to leave, but at the same time, wanting desperatly to stay, I hope you like it....

It doesn’t make sense to me

How I can love you so much

Want you so badly

But walk out and leave

It’s like one huge contradiction

That weighs heavy on my mind

That I can’t have you

But when I look in the mirror

You’re all I find

I was nothing before we met

But a sad, shy, little girl

You brought me out, Willow

You gave me the world.

It is just so cruel

To have that ripped away

To know it’s all changed

And know I can’t stay

I just keep telling myself

It’s the best thing for me to do

But my heart screams

How can anything good come from hurting you!?

I see the pain you're in

And, hell!

I feel it too!

All I want to do right now

Is turn around, stay here, and comfort you

But, I know the consequences

would far outweigh the means

That the magic you keep using

It'll rip you at the seams

I know that you are hurting

But what could happen would hurt you more

This is not the way it’s supposed to work

This is not what magic is for

Willow, darling

I love you more than you’ll ever know

That’s why I am going to walk out this door now

Goodbye,

I have to go

Again another beautiful poem, it's always nice to see what Tara was thinking at the end of 'Tabula Rasa'!

Time to be jealous? Uhh that about sums it up! I went off and read 'Only In My Dreams' and *sigh* it's set with both our girls in high school....I absolutely love fics that go back like that! I actually saw a thread with a drawing of Amber and for a second thought that you had started the thread and was about ready to pout from jealousy, but then I saw that you had posted there last :) C'mon there's only so much talent a girl can take!!

You are kidding right...RIGHT? I have to say that it just is not fair for some people to have so much talent and others...well others to have absolutely none! BTW I just read the new installment of 'Only In My Dreams' and yep I knew that it was a bad idea to begin another pen fic, now it's just another one that I have to add to my favourites list and keep checking for updates incessantly!!

I can draw but I haven't done any Willow or Tara ones... (so I'll just shut up about that)

I am so glad you like 'Only in my dreams' but you have my deepest apologies for lengthening your favourites list, I just limit myself to how many new fics I can start in a week, because I KNOW that they are all gonna be so brilliant. So much talent on this posting board!!!

Have you tried to write any fics? you should! It's the funnest thing! oh and poetry too! (hence the reason I do them) It's a great feeling when you have the finished product.

oh... by the way... congratulations and welcome to the 'Extra Flamey's' (not that I have been Extra Flamey very long myself)

You can draw, too? Gosh, you are so talented!

You know, that I have to get very jealous now, dont you? ;)

Cause I dont have that many talents *pouts* ;)

But Im happy that you are blessed with so many talents and I wouldnt mind if you drawed some stuff of Willow and Tara! Like you always say, try it! :)

Well, actually I showed the poetry Im writing a very close friend of mine, she loved it, but still, I think there a plenty of poems that are much much better than mine...I guess, I just have to practise :)

And your new poem...what can I say except...I love it!

Thank you, its a pity I havent had time to read your fic "Only in my dreams" yet, but Im definitely working on it! :)

I concur with the others that its nice to have another Poet on the Pens.

I love how you've formed the poetry into letters, there's something really intimate about that. The cadence of your poems is really effective, if you wrote music I imagine they'd make really good songs.

Well, well, well...sweetie!! I must just say: Go You!!! I am so glad you are continuing to post your poems. This last one was wonderful. The rhythm, and to quote one of my favorite poets on the board, mollyig, the "cadence" was perfect. You have the ability to show wonderful emotions with your words. You set the scene nicely and tell the story very well. Good on you! Again, please keep posting. I will be watching. It is wonderful to have another poet amonst us.

Wow, your new poem, so simple but effective and says so much:

'Nothing is nothing

It’s all the same

It’s all her'

I loved these lines. Its how I imagine Willow would be thinking.

Keep up the great poems :grin

As for my poetry, I do share! I have a thread 'Poetry by TheWhiz' (original name :D ). I think its on page 5 or 6. I've not posted anything for a while- bad me!!

Ok, then! new poem

Whiz: Thanks so much!!! I love your poems!! :D

Viv: aaaw, and so you read my fic? :D hope you liked it... I should update it today, been slack... naughty me...

Alrighty then...

it's a reflection, Willow about Tara....

Sometimes I look at you

And I see myself

This tiny flicker in your eyes

That says

I want you

I need you

I love you

Sometimes I touch you

And I feel like we are one

Not sure where you end and I begin

Not wanting to know

Sometimes I listen to you talk

And I feel it in my heart

Every word you say

I am just so grateful to hear

So happy you are there

Sometimes I watch you sleep

Watch your breath slowly enter and leave your body

Not understanding how it could bear to be away from you for even a moment

Thanking god for every second

That I was blessed with someone so amazing

And sometimes I just hold you close

The silent words passed from heart to heart

Not needing to be said

But saying more than I ever could

I want you…

I need you…

I love you…

Well I think, "It's A Reflection" is my favourite so far. Just love it, it's beautifully depressing...Then again it could be that I watched parts of the new BTVS episode and because there's no Willow&Tara am now extremely depressed.
