Hey Kittens,

I think my muse is slowly coming back and I had some late night inspiration in the early hours of this morning. I'm not sure how things are going with W/T right now (because I'm half a season behind most Kittens), so this is something about bad times and the road ahead. As with my poetry thread at the old board (now archived), all feed back is always welcomed and appreciated. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the tide rolls in, the winds blow south,
And the waters of streams flow down,
That journey called life keeps moving on
And you walk down the path you’ve found.
As the sun rises and sets each day
And time just passes by,
As the years come and go, you think
Just how life seems to fly.
Through the ups and downs you know
That tomorrow will certainly come.
Things might not be how you want,
But there is always work to be done.
When the road seems long, times are tough
And all appears to be wrong,
Hold your head up high, look straight ahead
And know you must go on.
Thanks for your comments, Kitties. I'm glad you like my work. :D
Enig - I think it may be best to leave the old poems where they are in the Pens Archives. If you want to read them again, go here or you can read them at my site, though the later ones haven't been posted there yet.
Thanks again. Let's hope that I don't lose my muse again (lol. that kinda rhymed).
Beautiful poem, I loved it. I know all about the ever elusive muse, mine decided to take a 5 yr. vacation and just returned. Don't ever let yours get away. You have so much talent.
Great goddesses, this stuff is addictive It struck me as a poem about "life" with the path you must travel and the obstacles on your way, that destiny each of us has, but doesn't know beforehand where it will lead us to, how we will get there. Intriguing...
Thanks for your sweet comments, Kittens. They mean a lot to me. Really, they do.
Lucy, you're so sweet! I missed you too! lol :)
OK, here's another poem I wrote last week. I wrote it on Monday, I think. It started off as a lonley-night type of poem, then turned into one about Willow and Tara in 'The Gift' before they and the rest of the Scoobies had reached the tower. Let me know what you think... I always appreciate your comments. Here we go...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the moon rises
and the stars appear,
The air grows even colder
as the end draws near.
I follow as you wander
to the tower of despair
And I feel my heart sadden,
As your mind’s no longer there.
I yearn to have you near me.
Back where you belong.
I know that I’ll restore you
and nothing will go wrong.
I’ll bring you back to my world
Of joy and pure love.
Just hold on and wait for me baby.
I know you’re strong enough.
Love the poems, Pixie Muso, especially some of stanza structures and rhyming. And the words, too. ;)
Thanks for your comments, Kittens. Sadly, I have no poetry to share with you today, as my writing muse has left me (yet again). I guess my mind's been on a series of canvases I've been painting for the past few weeks (and shall continue to paint for the next 4 months). Hopefully something poetic will pop into my head soon. :)
Thanks for your support.
As Xander would say- Merciful Zeus! You're a painter AND a poet? Are your paintings as good as your poetry? Ok, that was an unfair question- sorry. I loved them both, and would you mind horribly if I set the first to music? I had an idea when I was reading it. Not like I'd ever get a chance to share it with anyone anyway, but I won't if you don't want me to.
Aww... you're really sweet, RealLiveTara. Yes. I paint. I've posted some drawings on the board before. They'll be archived somewhere from the old board.
As for your request, do you mind if I get back to on that one? It's just that I've already started putting music to that poem. Y'see, I'm also a musician. That's where the "Muso" part of my name comes from. So... I'll get back to you on it. :) OK?
Again, I think you're really sweet. Thanks so much for your feedback. :)
 Post subject: NEW POEM!
PostPosted: Sat Apr 27, 2002 10:15 pm
Hey Kittens. I think I actually started this poem about a week ago. We Aussies finally saw 'Tabula Rasa' on Monday, so I'd say that it was the inspiration for this piece. So I'd place after Tara's left the house and Michelle Branch has just finished singing 'Goodbye To You' (Jeez that song is amazing) Let me know what you think...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What have I done?
What can I do? What can I say?
I’ve felt so empty since you went away.
I lost my love and I miss you baby.
Where can I find you? Where can you be?
Will you come back? Will you stay?
Will you be the light that brightens my day?
I was your’s and you were mine.
I thought our hearts would always intertwine.
But now you’ve fled. Now you’re gone.
How could everything go so wrong?
From what I knew, you’d always stay.
Though now you’ve left to make your own way.
Please come back into my arms
And let me succumb to all your charms.
I need to have you here with me.
Just let me be your Willow tree.
No magic, nor spells. I will conform
To be with you baby. You’ll keep me warm.
P.S. - Drakkenfyre, I'm trying hard to keep the poetry part of the board alive and kicking... it's just that my damned blasted muse keeps leaving me. Hey! Maybe that's what my poem's really about! lol
Hi Pixie, I really like your new poem, you have captured Willow's thoughts and feelings extremely well, you can really feel the emotion in your words. I watched the end of 'Tabula Rasa' last night so I can definately see where your inspiration came from!
I totally agree about 'Goodbye To You' it is an amazing song! :) I recently bought Michelle Branch's album solely on the basis on this song and believe me the rest of the album is as fantastic!
Hope your muse will now return to you! :grin , as I look forward to seeing more of your work.
