Fic: " Missing Pieces "

Postby WiccansIllusion » Thu Mar 28, 2002 3:42 pm

Disclaimer:

Obviously Willow, Tara and the rest of the Scooby gang belong to Joss. I simply borrowed them and hope to return them in better shape then they where left.

Summary: It needed to be written, it begged. This is the missing ‘scene’ from Hells Bells, in which Tara and Willow disappeared for about 20 min.

Rating: PG 13 so far.

Sidenote: Did anyone catch the grope when Willow brushed Tara’s hair? It’s there! I swear to God!

Soilers: Everything up to ‘Hells Bells’

Missing Pieces.

The wedding had turned into utter chaos, and Willow had come to the conclusion that this was indeed much worse then her Bat Mitzvah. At least then the drinks had been limited to 2 for customer, and Xander’s Dad hadn’t wanted to shell out the extra cash for more scotch. Finally admits the fray, she spotted Tara. Even despite the hideous green dress, the blonde still looked beautiful.

“A-Are you ok?” The redhead stammered as she pulled her from the ‘bar fight.’ Tara nodded, too overwhelmed to try and speak. It was Willow who reached out and brushed the blonde’s hair behind her ear, comfortingly, and accidentally let her hand brush against the swell of Tara’s breast. Tara reached out for Willow’s hand then and led her to a spare room off to the side. Even amongst the chaos, she only saw and heard her ex. “W-we should talk. A-about us, I think.” Tara had to be the bold one here, the strong one. She could see the pain mingled with the desire in Willow’s emerald orbs. It’d been a mistake to look into her eyes to begin with, since she always lost herself in them.

“Yeah, talking is good. I mean, I like talking a lot and I usually talk a ton about nothing you know, when I get nervous, which obviously I am. Not that being around you makes me nervous, but just, well, the lacking of an us makes me nervous.” Willow bit her lip as the stream of nothings turned into what she was really afraid off. Tara opened her mouth to respond, but Willow gently pressed a fingertip against her ex’s lips. “Please, let me finish. I mean, I-It’s not that I want you to shut up, because I don’t. I wasn’t really me when I said those things.” She winced, remembering the hate filled argument in which she really had asked Tara to shut up about her problem. “I just, I really miss there being an us.” Tara smiled at the words. She missed it too. It was as if a piece of her had just disappeared, leaving her in utter darkness.

“ I-I miss an us too. I just, needed to make you see Will.” It was said with such apathy that it brought tears to the emerald orbs. “ I see now. I see.” It she repeated just above a whisper as Willow reached out to caress her ex’s cheek with a shaking hand. She said it with such sincerity that it made Tara’s heart melt all over again. “D-Do you think we could..” Tara’s words where cut off by a kiss. It was tentative. So gentle and unsure, much like their first one, before all the magick embedded itself so deeply into their relationship that she wasn’t sure that Willow was in love with her, or the magick. But now, she knew that Willow was really, truly in love with her, and not the magick, and the one, small kiss washed away any doubt she might have had in herself to not forgive Willow, and to ask the redhead to take her back.
