Author Notes: Just wanted to say a quick hello, and in this story, it's mostly Willow's thoughts and emotions on the break up. Which should never have happened, so, on with the show.

~

The redhead hadn't slept. That much was obvious from the tossled hair and rumpled pajamas. Tara had left a little over twenty four hours ago. Dawn still was giving her the "I'm fifteen and I'm pissed" silent treatment, and well, Buffy was just being Buffy. Emerald hued orbs shifted to look at the clock next to her- 4:15 am. Why wasn't she asleep? Somehow, she knew it was because of Tara and everything that had happened with Rack. It was then that she made a decison to leave. The house brought back awful memories.

It was an hour later that she had showered and packed a backpack full of clothing and some personal belongings. It would be enough for right now. She was dressed a few minutes later and a brief note was left to Dawn and Buffy, and a longer one to Tara. She then left the Summers house and Sunnydale for what she hoped would be a long period of time. At least long enough so that she could find Willow again.

It wasn't long that time had found Willow on a bus, headed for Los Angelus. Why was she going there? Of all places. The redhead shook her head as she stared out the window and watched the sunrise, if not somewhat speedily. The last letter she had gotten from Oz had an address in West L.A, near some club that he had been playing at. The letter was tucked into her front pocket. Oz had always understood, about inner demons. Maybe he could help her control her own.

It'd been an even longer bus ride, once she decided that seeing her ex again had been a horrible, awful idea. Willow hadn't even gotten to the terminal in L.A when she got on the other bus and turned around back home. It took forever it felt, a week at most the distance from here to the city by bus. Not to mention how exhausted she was, when she finally reached Tara's dorm room at UC Sunnydale.

----

Tara had been reading, or at least trying to read when she heard the knock. In truth, she had been missing Willow, completely, as much as one person could miss another. After having read Willow's letter, and realizing that her ex had really gone, Tara had fallen apart. It had felt so final..so-

----

"H..hi.." It was all the redhead could say when the door opened, and a rather puffy eyed Tara just stared at her. " Y...you leave, and ..and all you can say is hi?!" Tara was furious, hurt, angry, betrayed. But the only thing she could think of to do was wrap her arms around the redhead and never let go. And that was exactlly what she did.

---

"Never ever do that to me again!" The words where harsh. Willow wasn't expecting this, as she closed the door behind her with a contended sigh. She hadn't expected the warmth of a hug, or even so much as the flash of Tara's anger. She wasn't sure what she expected, but this definetly hadn't been it.
