Postby Loco2 » Fri Jul 26, 2002 12:14 pm

k, now that that's sorted:

rating: 15 (i don't know that americanised, but you get the idea)

um, trish is doing thanks: do i have any of those? i guess i thank trish...:D

notes: this is a CO-WRITTEN FIC so any post from either of us goes!

feedback: yes bloody please! anything, i'll even beg if need be!

that said, here goes:

STRAIGHT TO HELL AND BACK CHAPT 1

Postby SquishyTrishy » Fri Jul 26, 2002 12:50 pm

Straight to Hell and Back, Chapt 1

By SquishyTrishy and Loco2

Thank you: LOco2 ofcourse for co-writting this with me, to Funkyasain for being the sexiest beta reader around, to all my readers from soul shatter, to my very good friends who always encourage me, you know who you are. Lov

Willow sat hunched over, peering intently at her computer screen. Her eyes were blood shot from lack of sleep and staring at her screen for so long. But that was all she could do after Tara left. Work. Her computer seemed fill up all the empty time; Willow had had to fill for far too long. She looked at her watch to see what time it would be in Japan. It is only ten there, Chan should still be awake and then I can finish this deal.

A loud thud on her office door forced her sore eyes to look away from the computer screen. The booming voice of her employer, who, in her opinion should have been a girl’s gym teacher, made her flinch. “ Willow, my girl. Shouldn’t you be, like I dunno, sleeping by any chance? After all it is, like, one in the morning.” She didn’t even wait for an answer. “Of course, I admire your dedication. A workaholic is something to admire, I think. You have impressed me, Willow. I know some people here think that I press people too much to work,” the bossy woman admitted. “But I only push them to excellence. But more to the point, I have a business meeting that I was suppose to go to tomorrow, on the Jakebro case. As you know, he is a very important client, and I don’t trust anyone else to deal with him besides my very best. So will you do it? And before you say anything, I want you to know that if you get Jakebro, I am going to see to it that you head up New York. So do we have a deal, my girl?”

Willow’s brain was only half working. Part from not sleeping much in the past year, and part from it protesting being drowned in so much caffeine. But still, this sounded great to the over-worked redhead. I’ll get a job New York. She paused, pondering, That could be a good thing, I think I need break from Sunnydale and it is time to stop fooling my self that Tara will come back. At the thought of the gorgeous blond she loved so much and pushed away, her thoughts immediately changed their direction. Oh, God I miss her. I hope she is ok were ever she is...Goddess, please let her be ok. Willow for the past year had been sticking around close to Sunnydale in case by some chance Tara would show up again. She had first started working at this computer company for a couple of reason. It made her busy so she didn’t have the time to think about her Tara, gone because of what she did. She didn’t have time to think about using magic, and because computer work was the only thing that seemed to be left for her to do, the only thing she was still good at. So the raise and whatever else there was in New York was just the icing on the top. “I’ll do it, and I won’t let you down.”

The woman seemed highly impressed and gave Willow a grin.“ Wonderful, darling, I knew you wouldn’t let me down. Alright, you will meet at the Radisson tomorrow at one, so I suggest you get some sleep. I left the case file for you with Ann." The woman thought for a second, before bluntly adding, "Oh, and it would be good if you brought a date but it would be understandable if you couldn’t get one on such short notice. It is casual lunch but you should still dress up a little for show. Call me afterwards. Ciao!” she called out breezily as she began to walk away from the redhead.

Stick around..there should be more with in the next 30 mins.

Oh baby, want me to rub your tummy? She likes it when I ... stop explaining things.

Hi, um Tara..how are you? well...I was wondering maybe you want to go out some time...for coffee? food? Kisses and gay love?

Postby Loco2 » Fri Jul 26, 2002 1:11 pm

leatherqueen: well, you'll see a little more where we are headed if u just scroll down a little ;)

snuggle79: if this was longer than 10 mins it's because i'm a whore, not 'cos trish is a liar. here you are:

Tara laid on her bed, talking on the phone with her newest friend, Jake. Who as it happens was making her laugh so hard she could barely breath. " Jake, remember we talked about this, me gay, you straight. We can't date." She burst into another fit of giggles. God, It feels so good to laugh again. I haven’t done that in forever, but this is just too cute and funny.

"Aw, Tara, come on, try me and you might just change your mind," he pleaded.

Tara merely giggled harder.

"Sure you can, because I'm not really gay, I was just playing hard to get," she grinned

He didn't get the joke.

"Really? So you'll go with me, then?" He asked hopefully.

"Come on. please.” Jake whined and begged with the cuteness of a little puppy. “ I just need a date for the business lunch today. If I don’t have one, I’ll look really stupid and then evil computer shark geeks will eat me up. Come on Tara, Please, I really need this."

Tara could almost hear him batting his light blue eyes, something he did when he wanted his way. And it seemed to work, that is on all the straight girls. Even Tara had to admit he was handsome.

"I don't have a date, either. But I don’t want a date.” Teasingly she added. “Those poor sharks who wants to sink their teeth into you.”

Tara suddenly felt sorry for the guy. I mean it is not like a real date anyways. I mean I wouldn’t be cheating on Willow. STOP THAT! You’re not even going out with Willow anymore you doofus. It isn’t a real date; he is just a good friend. So why can’t I go out with a friend? It's free food, right? Just then Tara tummy started to growl in agreement.

"You don’t have to be my girlfriend, just my date, no touchy feely stuff...just, please?" Jake begged. He absolutely needed this date; he needed anything that would help him with the computer company to help fixed his trashed computer program. Millions of people were counting on him.

She relented, but there was NO way she was going to be doing any funny business. "Ok, Jake. But no touchy feelly, you promise? And I am gay, do not like you in that way and as long as you understand that, I would be happy to accompany you for a lunch date. A friendly type date." she underlined her points, arching her eyebrows at him, despite the fact that he couldn't see her through the phone.

"Thanks so much Tar, you know you’re my angel. You really saved my cute ass."

Tara giggled again, the seriousness of the moment lost. "Ok, sure, whatever you say,"

"Tara, could you please wear the creamy thingy, with the green necklace, I saw it when I was rutting through your closet...you would look stunning in that.” Jake poured on his best charm.

"You were rutting through my closet?" she asked, slightly horrified.

"No.I saw you wearing it once, "he grinned to himself, "you looked really sexxxxy."

Tara took the compliment, it was sweet of him, if not slightly disturbing..."Alright. I'll wear it. And you are picking me up then at what time? And it can’t be too late, I don’t wanna leave Chester alone for too long." Tara smiled as she looked at her tiny puppy lying at the end of her bed.

He looked up at her expectantly and made a tiny pathetic whining noise. Tara smiled at him and reached over to scratch him behind the ears. He wriggled appreciatively.

"Thanks Tara. I’ll see you at noon?" Jake asked, through the phone.

"Sure. And just to remind you, this is a friendly type date!" she hung up the phone.

I can't believe that little bugger talked me in to going on a date. I haven’t gone, on a date since… since me and Willow, Tara frowned, and collapsed back on her bed with a sad thud. Chester raised his head and moved to lick Tara's fingers, as if he knew what she was thinking.

She shifted so she was lying on her stomach and rubbed the little dog's belly. "Oh, Chester. What am I going to do?"

After a minute or two, he stopped writhing and curled up to go to sleep.

"Well, thank you for your help," she sighed.

“I haven’t been out of a date in ages; even if this isn’t really a date. It just seems weird without Willow.” She smiled sadly, thinking of happier times with the beautiful redhead, “I mean the word date always means Willow...I just... This really sucks.” She peered down at the sleeping puppy, wondering what it must be like to have no worries in the world, “Oh, Chester, you don’t have any problems you spoiled little puppy. I wish I could be you for a little while."

All the dog did to answer her question was begin to snore, slightly.

Tara looked down at the dog in a playful disgust and started getting ready for her date. After all she might as well look good. As she was getting ready she absently minded put on the green pendent Jake asked her to wear. She looked in the mirror and traced along the silver chain with her fingers lightly. Remembering the day Willow and her had bought these for each other on their vacation. She had insisted it was too expensive for them to buy but as it turns out both went back later that night and bought it for each other. Tara toyed with the pendent for a few more minutes wearing a sad smile.

STRAIGHT TO HELL AND BACK CHAPT 3

STRAIGHT TO HELL AND BACK CHAPT 3

By LOco2 And SquishyTrishy

LeatherQueen and Snuggle: More still comming..lol arnt you spoilt. That is all for a while guys..injoy.

Willow had decided to wear her best business suit, which consisted of black sexy pants, a white comfortable cotton shirt with a black jacket over top that hugged her hips. She wore a green pendent that was on a silver chain. It completed the out fit to make a gorgeous-looking red head. The pendent had been a gift from Tara. For the longest time Willow had avoided wearing the pendent because it tended to make her cry but after a while it made some appearances in her wardrobe. She had worn on her job interview and now to this big meeting. Wearing seemed to give the red head a small bit of confidence, and a much needed peace. Willow brushed her shoulder length hair back behind her ears. Simple but it works. She brushed her hair a few more times to make sure it was looking just perfect. She looked across her apartment to check the time. Only a couple minutes left. I think I have everything. Willow went through a list in her mind about everything that she would need to make the deal. I read through the case file twice, so my information about the situation should be alright. I even made another background check on the company. So, that’s should be alright and if the conversation gets lacking I could just mention, what was it? Oh, Yes, I think I read some one from a newspaper article that the man was finally in love. Any man would be eager to talk about his love. Willow relax slightly as she thought of more ways to keep the conversation going if needed. She then sprang up in surprise. I need a date! How could I forget about the date! Where in the world am I gonna find a date in the next ten minutes. They will think I am such a loser if I don’t show up with a date. Willow mind ran through another short list of who she could ask to be her date. She came up with the same conclusion every time she though about dating. Absolutely, utterly, useless. How can I date someone else if I already know who I want? But I suppose it wouldn’t be like a real date, just a business thing. But I still don’t even have anyone to ask. How pathetic am I. Just then Willow quirky bird clock struck noon and went into a frenzy of bird’s squawking there song. Come on pathetic. Time to go, I hope I won’t be late. It should only take me forty-five minutes to get there, which leaves fifteen for me to panic. Willow frowned. I need more then fifteen minutes. Willow thought as she called a cab.

…………………………..

The hotel was brightly white with a cherry atmosphere and sophistication that reeked of money. Willow was the first to arrive and was seated on an elegant chair which was strangely matched with a funky oak table which has silk napkins, silverware and crystal glasses decorating it. Willow sat down and looked at the crystal wine glasses as if it held some answer to the world’s mess. She prayed what must have been the hundredth time that everything would go smoothly and she could leave for New York. These words rolled around in her mind. New York, New York. It sounds so small just for those two little words. But there has to be more then five million people in New York. Plenty of room for someone to get lost. I hope I don’t get lost. Or would that be such a bad thing. With five million people over running the city I could hide with no more prying Buffy. Although Buffy is just trying to help, so are Xander and Dawn and well everyone else. But it could be fun, to be alone. Oh, who are you kidding? Alone sucks. Even if Buffy and gang sometimes get on my nerves but they are just trying to help, like any good friends. We were always there for each other, their so amazing to not have given up on me after everything I put them through. Their like the little sticks that hold up the young little trees from bending in the wind. But that’s just dumb I mean, everyone knows the trees would go back up straight anyway ‘cause hello the tree towards the sunlight. And since the sun is up the tree must grow up, unless it is a mutant tree. Oh, those are just gross. The one that attacked Xander was all slimy with the sap and the ick, if we didn’t come help him I still think he would be stuck to that tree. Willow could just picture in her mind, Xander still stuck to the tree telling awful jokes and waiting for it to fall asleep.

“ Hello, Miss. Rosenberg? Terribly sorry that we’re late, we were caught in traffic,” a charming young man spoke with a beautiful blond at his side.

Willow looked up and lost all amusement from her pervious thoughts as she fully registered who Jake’s date was.

“ Miss. Rosenberg, may I present my date and love of my life, Tara Maclay.”

hm...Tara out with a guy..not what I was looking foreward too..maybe I'll stick around for the ride..

Tara nodded in agreement "She has magic fingers." Then, as though the words had just echoed back to her and sounded not at all right, she perked up and glanced around at the others. "On the keyboard."
