Chapter One

It was a cool summer night and the full moon shone down on Sunnydale. Lamp lights gently flickered to life along the streets, basking the dark asphalt and sidewalks in pale light. All the stores were dark and quiet except for one, The Magic Box.

Buffy, Tara, Willow, Xander and Anya sat at the round table across from the store counter. Their mood was somber and Tara rubbed her hand up and down Willow’s back soothingly. Willow slept fitfully the night before and Tara had woken several times to wake her from the nightmares. Towards morning though, Willow finally drifted off to sleep but Tara stayed awake. She cradled Willow’s head in her lap and stroked the long copper colored hair in an attempt to soothe her lover’s frayed nerves. She could only imagine what Willow must be going through.

Two days ago they had embarked on a trip to the beach and had a wonderful time. The Hellmouth was forgotten as they relaxed in the sun and surf. On the way home, however things took a drastic turn. They were deluded into believing that they had run out of gas and were conveniently stalled near an elegant estate. What they didn’t realize until later that night was that the house was built upon a foundation of evil. To describe the house as being ‘haunted’ would have been an understatement. It was possessed and controlled by an evil demon from another dimension. This demon also thrived on magical souls and then sacrificed them. The sacrificed souls were used to further the portals reach into other dimensions.

The demon wanted Willow and Tara’s magical essence and their souls. This was something that the Slayer couldn’t defeat. The demon was magical, a changeling and only magic could bring it down. When it became obvious that the demon was about to take both Willow and Tara’s power, the red head embraced her dark magicks. The end result was that she defeated the demon and saved them all, but for a price. While under the thrall of the demon and her own magicks, she killed an innocent.

Eventually, Tara broke through the darkness, and brought Willow back. She brought her lover back whole, but with a shattered soul. Willow was free of the dark magicks, but its power remained. How Willow chose to use that power was up to her. She could use it for good, but in her present state Willow could easily slip back into the darkness with just a simple thought. Giles, having experienced this himself, made a call to his old mentor in England.

“I’ve just spoken with a colleague in Bristol. The coven will help Willow.” He said and set the phone back into its cradle. He glanced over at the group that was looking at him expectantly. He cleared his throat, pulled a handkerchief from his rear pocket and proceeded to clean his glasses before continuing. “Willow, we must leave as soon as possible. I’ll book us a flight in the morning.”

“In the morning? Like tomorrow? What about Tara?” her voice held a note of panic and she looked over at her partner.

“Yes, tomorrow.” He replied and Willow shifted her gaze back to his face.

Tara reached for Willow’s hand and grasped it tightly. Anya, Buffy, Dawn, and Xander shifted their gazes from Willow and Tara to Giles and then back again, not sure what to say or do. Giles walked out from behind the counter. “Willow, the magicks inside you are very powerful.” He stopped before the table and spoke directly to her. “You need help in controlling them.” Giles sighed and his gaze softened. “Tara can’t come with you. You can’t have any distractions.” He shifted his gaze to Tara. “I’m sorry.”

“I understand.” She turned to Willow. “He’s right, sweetie.” Tara’s heart dropped when Willow looked at her with sad green eyes. “This is something you need to do on your own.” Her mouth shifted into a lopsided grin. “And I would be a distraction.”

Willow returned it with a knowing but sad smile.

“I agree with Tara. No more witchy Sabrinas.” Xander added and Willow shot him a beseeching look.

“Will… you were really scary looking. Scarier than the boogie monster that used to hide under my bed.” Xander said, trying to mollify his friend.

Buffy and Dawn looked at him with puzzled frowns.

“Well… he didn’t really exist, but to me he did… when I was a kid.” Xander explained.

“Oh, they exist.” Anya said blandly and everyone paused to stare at her.

“I know.” Willow said softly, bringing everyone’s focus back to the matter at hand. “I have to do this.” She sighed and squared her shoulders. “I’m dangerous with all this power, I get that.” She looked down at Tara’s hand, clasped in hers.

“How long will she be gone?” Buffy asked.

“I don’t know.” Giles replied and slowly put his glasses back on.

Willow met Buffy’s gaze when the slayer’s blue eyes shifted to her face. She swallowed when she saw a glimmer of tears in Buffy’s eyes and Tara squeezed her hand.

Chapter Two

Willow inhaled deeply, breathing in the forest air, damp with morning dew and pine. She pushed a lock of stray hair from her face, tucking it sternly into the woolen cowl that covered her head and then straightened the folds of her cloak. She brushed specks of dirt from her suede pants with gloved hands.

Willow stood at the top of one of the many hills surrounding her. Her eyes roamed casually over the stunning landscape, the old scenery reminding her of stories straight out of medieval times. She heard Giles’s boots crunching in the underbrush behind her and she sighed. Her thoughts went back six months earlier, just before she arrived at Giles’s home in England.

After receiving the news that she would be departing the next morning for England, she and Tara spent most of the night making love and talking.

“Baby, I don’t want to leave you.” Tears stung in Willow’s eyes as she looked into Tara’s face.

“Oh, sweetie, you won’t be.” Tara whispered and cradled Willow’s face in her hands.

“I’ll be back. I promise.” Willow swallowed and pulled Tara into her arms. The feel of the blonde’s warm naked skin against her own, felt blessedly comforting.

“I know. I’ll be here, waiting.” Tara whispered into her ear.

She could still feel the wetness of Tara’s tears on her fingers. Her heart swelled at the image of Tara’s face, the soulful eyes, the full lips, and the smile that always lifted her spirits. She brought her fingers to her lips, remembering how soft Tara’s were upon her own and how her tongue teased, and licked before capturing them. She would be returning home tomorrow and a small smile appeared on her face, but disappeared when Giles’s voice penetrated her thoughts and brought her back to the present.

“I know it’s not fair. Life isn’t fair, Willow.” He stopped beside her, slightly winded from the climb. “God knows we’ve suffered more than most because of what we do.” He moved over to a large boulder and sat down. “But we go on. Life goes on, with or without us.”

Willow knelt down and brushed her hand across the ground, sifting through the mulched mixture of decomposed leaves, pine needles and bark. She tilted her head and pressed her fingers into the damp earth. When she pulled them away she uttered a spell and a small sprout broke through the dark earth, reaching for the warmth of the sun. It grew and the stem thickened, bearing leaves and small buds. The buds blossomed, then burst into a colorful array of flowers. She looked over at Giles who watched as they bloomed, his expression peaceful.

“I still hurt, Giles.” She whispered, her brows furrowing into a painful frown.

“I know. You’ve experienced something quite traumatic.” He paused. “You’ve killed a human being. You’ve tasted blood and the power that comes with it. You held a person’s life in your hands, and then you made a decision, conscious or not, and snuffed it out.”

Willow’s eyes brimmed with tears, she stood up and looked away.

“That’s your conscious speaking, it shows that you value life and that you have the capacity to love.” Giles stood up, moved to her side and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

“I don’t want that to ever happen again. I don’t want to hurt anyone, especially Tara.”

“You’ve done very well, Willow. The coven has been of great assistance to us. You’ve mastered control over the magicks, but you’ll have to continue to work at it.” He paused and looked at her thoughtfully. ”Um… speaking of Tara, I meant to ask before… how was she able to control the dark forces within you?”

Willow frowned, not sure how much to reveal without compromising what Tara told her in confidence.

“She’s experienced it before, Giles.” Willow answered slowly.

“How so?” he queried.

Willow hesitated and exhaled heavily.

“I don’t mean to pry, but I’m awfully curious. She knew exactly what to do.” He paused. “I remember one time she was in the shop reading one of the dark magic books and I made a comment to her about it.” He paused briefly. “She didn’t answer, but when she looked at me, her eyes… they conveyed so much without her even saying a word.” He chewed on his lower lip.

“Her eyes are like deep pools of liquid. You either drown in them or you look right into her soul.” Willow said as a trace of a smile formed on her face and her eyes shone with longing.

“Yes… yes… well, um, I didn’t quite see that, but um… what I do know is that when her family came to visit on her birthday, it was revealed that her mother was a witch, and a very powerful one.” He took off his glasses and rubbed his eye with a finger. “I’m curious why Tara isn’t drawn to the dark magicks. I suspect something happened fairly early in life to make her wary of it.”

“When the spell she cast went wrong, Tara was careful in how she used her magic after that. She respected its power. I didn’t. I let it control me and I paid the price.” She paused in painful reflection. “We both did.” Willow sighed. “The other thing is that her mother was heavily into the dark magicks and the power consumed her until there was nothing left.”

“I see.” He looked out over the landscape. “Now I understand.”

“Understand what, Giles?” Willow asked and he turned back to her.

“What I saw in her eyes was fear, Willow.”

Willow swallowed and looked away, hiding the tears that had formed in her eyes. The pain made heart ache and her stomach twisted in knots from the guilt.

Chapter Three

Willow walked down the corridor between the airplane and the airport. She smiled when she sighted her friends, but her gaze traveled over them quickly and locked on to the one person she longed for, Tara.

The blonde stood riveted, her mouth slightly open in surprise when Willow emerged from the airport tunnel. She knew it was Willow, but Willow looked different and felt different. Tara could sense the power that radiated from her lover. It was brighter, calmer, controlled, and more subdued than when she left. Willow’s copper tresses had grown and curled slightly at the ends. Tara’s eyes traveled over her partner’s body and she swallowed. Willow was still thin but she had gained back some of the weight she had lost and walked tall with new confidence. Her black boots made no sound as she moved towards them. A simple white shirt was tucked into black leather pants which rippled with each step and a long light grey leather coat swirled down around her ankles.

“Holy moley!” She heard Xander exclaim under his breath and glanced over at him.

Tara shifted her eyes back to her lover and met the deep green ones that were locked on hers. She blinked at the liquid softness that pooled there. Willow’s eyes were full of emotion; anxiety, happiness, sadness, and regret.

When Willow approached she greeted Buffy, Dawn and Xander who hugged her enthusiastically while Anya looked on. Slowly they pulled back and Willow turned to Tara.

Tara smiled and tears sprung into her eyes. All it took was one step and Willow gathered her up. They hugged tightly and Willow squeezed her eyes shut against a flood of tears.

“Tara,” She whispered and breathed in the sweetness of the blonde’s hair.

“I’ve missed you, Will.” Tara said softly and caressed a soft lock of red hair before trailing her fingers across Willow’s shoulder. She inhaled the rich scent of leather and her fingers cooled as they slid over the smooth material.

“God, I’ve missed you so much.” Willow whispered back.

Reluctantly, they pulled apart and gazed at one another momentarily.

“You look good, Will.” Buffy said over Tara’s shoulder.

“Thanks.” Willow replied, her gaze remaining on Tara’s face.

“Well, Will… I have to say, likin’ the new look.” Xander piped in.

Chapter Four

Buffy and Xander carried Willow’s luggage upstairs to her bedroom while Willow and Tara followed with smaller bags.

“I could’ve sworn, Will, you had fewer luggage when you left.” Xander complained.

“I did.” She smiled up at him. “I got more as I collected more stuff.”

“More stuff? Like what?” Dawn asked.

“I brought back a little something for everyone.” She smiled mischievously.

“That was thoughtful, Will.” Buffy said.

They stopped inside Willow and Tara’s room and set some of the luggage down. Tara moved behind Willow and set a suitcase down by the bed.

Willow breathed in Tara’s scent and closed her eyes. Slowly she turned and took Tara’s hands in her own. They looked at each other and the world around them faded away.

Sensing a change in the room, Buffy turned to Anya, Dawn and Xander. “I think I’ll check my messages, see if anyone loves me. Anyone want drinks?” She nodded towards the door, a subtle message that only Anya and Dawn understood.

“Um, we’ll be down in a minute.” Willow replied, her thumbs circling the skin on Tara’s hands.

Buffy pulled a clueless Xander by the sleeve and followed Anya and Dawn out the door.

They trotted downstairs and into the kitchen. Buffy picked up the phone and listened to her messages while Xander slid his jacket off and slung it over a chair. He moved to the refrigerator and helped himself to a beer.

Willow and Tara stood for a moment staring at one another, hearts pounding. Tara’s mouth quirked in one corner in a lopsided smile that Willow always found very sexy. Willow’s breathing quickened and she was sure Tara could see the rapid rise and fall of her chest. Tara reached out and took Willow’s hand and pulled the smaller woman towards her. Their bodies collided and their lips met in a passionate kiss. Tara’s tongue glided over Willow’s lips, seeking entrance and Willow’s mouth parted. Her tongue slid inside and Willow captured it, sucking gently and then releasing. She took Tara’s full upper lip into her mouth and teased it with her tongue, before darting inside. Her arm reached out, blindly searching for the bedroom door and shoved it closed.

Willow turned them around and walked Tara backwards towards the bed. With her foot she pushed the suitcase out of the way and it tipped over with a loud thud.

When the bedroom door slammed shut and the suitcase thudded to the floor in Willow and Tara’s room, Xander’s eyes shot upwards and his brows creased into a frown. Buffy ignored the sounds coming from upstairs by pouring herself a drink but Dawn grinned like an imp. Anya raised her brows, confused by everyone’s reaction.

“Well, looks like they’re getting reacquainted with each other. You know, getting ready to have sex.” She said in her direct, matter of fact tone. Buffy raised her brows and Dawn snorted in an attempt to stifle a laugh. Xander glanced at Anya before speaking.

“Thank you, An. You just took us to a very visual place.” he said.

“Which I’m sure you enjoyed.” She snuck the barb in sideways.

“Okay… I think this is where I make a hasty exit.” He responded quickly. Buffy looked at him and shook her head. She decided that Willow and Tara deserved some privacy.

“You know what?” Buffy said, startling everyone. “I’m suddenly in the mood for ice cream.”

“Me too.” Dawn chimed in, reading Buffy’s thoughts.

“Xander, get your jacket. We’re going out.” Buffy stated.

“Oh. Right.” He hastily grabbed his jacket and shrugged into it as they all filed out the kitchen door.

Chapter Five

Tara’s hands encircled Willow’s neck, raking into the red hair and pulling Willow further into her mouth. She stopped moving when the back of her legs hit the bed. She slid her hands down over Willow’s arms, pushing the long coat to the floor. She trailed her fingers over the silky material of Willow’s shirt. She could feel her heart beating wildly and the passion that laid dormant during Willow’s absence awakened and roared back to life. Her fingers squeezed and kneaded, eliciting sounds of pleasure from Willow. She parted her legs and gasped when Willow slid a knee between them. She pressed downward, grinding her hips, and her fingers dug into Willow’s back. Tara embraced the new power that she felt in Willow, a strong but gentle magick that shone brighter than ever before. She caressed Willow’s tongue and forgot about the world around them.

Willow was lost in the sweetness of Tara’s lips and probing tongue. She moaned and grasped Tara’s hips, pulling her closer, crushing their bodies together. Her heart beat frantically and heat rushed into her face. She brought her hands up and hastily pulled Tara’s shirt up over her head, trailing a hot line of kisses down her neck to the valley between her breasts. She brushed her tongue lightly against the fine hairs and over the swelling creamy white skin on either side before tossing the garment to the floor. She felt Tara’s moan rumble through her chest and she brought her mouth back up, capturing full lips once more.

All that mattered was that deep primal need to be together as one. There was nothing else and no one else as the world rapidly slipped away. Their lips sought out one another, hungry and full of need.

Willow slipped her hands behind Tara’s back and unclasped the bra. This too, she slid down Tara’s arms to join the shirt and coat lying in a heap on the floor. She held Tara’s breasts in her hands and her fingertips trailed over the silky skin. She looked up and met Tara’s gaze. The blue in her eyes had deepened and were slightly lidded with lust. Willow’s mouth suddenly went dry and she licked her lips. She moved her hands down and freed the top button of Tara’s jeans. She watched Tara’s face as she slowly pulled the zipper downward. She pushed the pants down over full hips and Tara slipped out of her shoes and then stepped out of her jeans. All that was left was a pair of panties.

Tara could feel her want and knew that Willow could see it in her eyes. She could feel the painful throbbing between her legs and she tried in vain to ignore it. She brought her hands down to caress the soft leather pant leg that rubbed between her own. She ran her hands up Willow’s thigh, across the slim hips to the firm roundness of her rear. She squeezed the soft mounds and Willow pressed her knee more firmly against her.

Then without warning, Willow spun Tara around and pressed up against the blonde’s back. Her lips and tongue tasted the skin along Tara’s shoulder. She let her hands roam freely over the front of Tara’s body, gliding over hills and valleys.

“I want you.” Willow whispered and settled a hand over Tara’s lower abdomen and breathed into the soft blond hair. She pulled at the desire that was burning at her core and sent it to the hand that rested on Tara’s belly. A soft glow emanated from her fingers and Tara gasped from the stimulation that only served to intensify her arousal.

“Oh… oh.” Tara moaned and her head fell back to rest on Willow’s shoulder. She shuddered when Willow breathed into her ear.

“I love you, Tara.” Willow whispered.

Tara covered the hand resting over her stomach with her own and energy surged forth, joining them.

The glow of the magicks surrounded them, pulsing and throbbing. It consumed Willow and Tara with desire so hot that it flamed pure white. Their erratic breathing gave way to panting and their skin hummed with the emotional and physical intensity of it all.

Tara snaked her other hand up behind her, along the back of Willow’s neck and into the red hair. Willow traced a path with her fingers down over Tara’s hip, slipping inside the silk panties and into the heat between her legs. Tara panted heavily as the erotic heat ebbed and flowed through her. She could feel it coming and like waves in the sea, crashed over her. She cried out softly and Willow cradled her, pulling her close so that their bodies spooned together. Tara felt the smooth leather brush up against the back of her legs, cooling her heated skin. Willow’s small breasts pushed into her back and a light sheen of sweat covered their skin. Tara turned in the circle of her lover’s arms and leaned in to capture Willow’s lips in a deep passionate kiss. Hastily she unbuttoned the silky white shirt, slipped it down Willow’s arms and flung it aside. Her hands reached behind Willow’s back and released the bra and threw it to the floor. She trailed her fingers downward to a lush backside, digging into the two mounds of flesh through the leather, and pushed Willow against her. She felt Willow’s breasts press against her own and she relaxed, taking comfort from the warmth and feel of Willow’s body against hers.

Willow leaned forward, pushing Tara down onto the bed. She climbed up and settled herself between the blonde’s legs. Curling her arms under Tara’s shoulders she rocked her hips and Tara instinctively wrapped her legs around Willow’s. They kissed deeply, passionately, and their bodies moved against one another. Gasping, Tara broke away and with a slanted smile, rolled them over so that Willow was beneath her.

“My turn.” She whispered huskily.

She scooted down and pulled Willow’s boots from her feet. She climbed back up onto the bed and knelt between Willow’s legs. She slipped her fingers underneath the waistband of the leather pants and slipped the first button free. With deliberate slowness she moved to the next one and then to the next. She trailed her fingers along Willow’s thighs, enjoying the feel of the smooth material under her skin. With a few short tugs, the pants were removed and she tossed them on the growing pile of clothes. Next, she hooked her fingers under the panties and pulled them down and tossed them aside. Slowly, she pulled her own down and stepped out of them. She smiled coyly at Willow before dropping the silk undergarment. Climbing back onto the bed again she covered Willow’s now naked body with her own. She gazed down at her lover and smiled cheekily. Her heart jumped when Willow’s pink tongue darted out to lick dry lips. Leaning down, she teased Willow’s mouth open, her long hair falling forward and brushing over Willow’s shoulders.

Her skin prickled when she felt Willow’s hands brush up her back and rake into her hair. She shifted her hips and Willow pushed back into her. Leaving Willow’s mouth she trailed kisses down her neck and stopped to tease her breasts. Her arousal returned when she heard Willow moan. She moved further down, across the taut stomach and into fiery curls. Willow whimpered, pushed against her and Tara obliged. She wrapped an arm around Willow’s leg and held on. Her tongue dove and licked through the sweet moistness and her fingers provided the fullness Willow desired. Summoning her magic, Tara allowed her passion to seep into Willow. Willow gasped at the powerful sensation as Tara’s essence flowed into her. The muscles in Willow’s legs tightened and Tara watched as Willow’s mouth opened, crying out silently. Willow’s body moved with the rumbling orgasm and her eyes fluttered open to gaze at Tara. They were slightly unfocused, but heavy with emotion. When Willow’s body calmed, Tara crawled up beside her and placed a gentle kiss on her lover’s lips. When she pulled back, tears rolled freely down Willow’s face.

Chapter Six

Below ground in a dark and dank cavern, a tall robed figure was hunched over a wide brimmed bowl. A long taloned finger dipped into the dark liquid and stirred it before bringing it to his mouth and licking it clean. He lifted his head when one of his minions entered the room.

“She’s returned, Dark One.” The minion droned.

“Yes. I can feel her.” The tall figure turned and looked at his servant. “Come, it is time.” He instructed.

The minion relaxed his facial muscles and the ridges over his forehead and his pointed canines, all characteristics of a vampire, faded. He climbed the steps, walked across the platform and knelt. He raised his bowed head and looked up into the face hidden beneath the cowl. What he saw made his cold body turn even colder. The red face was mottled with black specks and when it smiled there was no warmth. Several long teeth protruded from its mouth, reaching almost to his chin. Several small horns protruded from his forehead and his ears were long and pointed. The eyes were black and deeply set, giving his entire face a skeletal look. He dipped a silver chalice into the bowl and offered it to his servant.

“Drink and receive the spirit of The Dark One, ‘O loyal servant.”

The vampire cradled the cup in his hands, raised it to his lips and drank. His body stiffened and the cup clattered to the ground. Jerking and twisting violently, his limbs cracked and elongated, morphing into a duplicate of the being that stood by silently.

When the transformation was complete he stood up and waited for further instructions. His ears pricked at the sounds all around him, sounds he could not hear before. Water dripped somewhere nearby and he turned his head at the sound of scratching. A large black water bug crawled across the dirt floor and disappeared into a crack in the wall. His nose twitched as various smells assailed his nose. The earth beneath his feet smelled damp and musty, and the thick red liquid in the bowl had an acidic, metallic smell to it, and he licked his lips unconsciously.

“The time is close at hand.” The Dark One paused and strode to the opposite side of the room and opened a large, ancient tome. “The power of the witch and the strength of the slayer shall complete the cycle.” He turned and continued speaking, holding the book in his hands. “With the witch’s power, we will invoke the dark spirits from below and with the slayer’s strength, we shall set them free.”

“Yes, ‘O, Dark One.” The servant chanted.

“You know what to do. Bring the witch and the slayer to me.” The Dark One said and the servant turned and left the cavern.

To be continued...

A nice long start to your next story. I love how you've got Willow coming back from England looking so amazing and confident, even though she feels regret and sorrow. That's a heady mixture there for some angst, I'm sure. One thing that struck me though; Willow and Tara are using magick during their lovemaking? God help me, but that worries the crap out of me. Heh.

Thanks for this. :)

Allyson, I feel like it's my birthday. That image of Willow in the long coat and leather pants, sexy and confident and bright with magick, and then the image of her in nothing but her books and leather pants...well, holy cow.

But really, it is wonderful to see a new version of Willow's journey to and return from England. I am curious to learn more about what she did there specificaly, but even though she is still hurting and full of regret, I love (especially today) seeing her return from that time away to a reunion with Tara. Which was beautiful, by the way; it was gentle and loving and very visual.

I'm really eager to see what happens with Willow's new control of the magicks and with this idea that Tara fears the dark magicks. You've set up so many great conflicts here, some left over from the first story but some new. Looking forward to more!

Allyson, pleased to see another story from you.

Tara's unwavering support of Willow was just lovely to see. Encouraging her to go without her, but her playful statement that she'd be just a distraction, showing her devotion.

Wonderful how Willow returned with a new confidence due to her mastering of magic. The scene where our girls are together again is just beautiful. Reconnecting, physically and spiritually.

Interested to learn more about this new Big Bad.

Willow: We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know... insane.

Allyson, just read this part as my homework. Liking it very much so far. The magic is a concern to me too and I wonder a little about it... but then I can find out more right now*S*

Off to go and do what I was asked to and we will see.

tommo - Willow needs to heal and move on with her life. She needs to adjust to the new power that she's connected to and learn responsibility. This has obviously changed her. Experiencing traumatic things usually do.

Willow and Tara's magic is of the gentle kind and is something very intimate (remember the ritual in 'Who Are You', their first steamy sex scene). I simply elaborated a bit now that she's infused with pure magic. :)

Tulipp - Hang on, there's more leather coming up. I hope to wrap up most of the loose ends in this story and talk about what Willow did while in England.

I loved the tender scenes between Willow and Tara that aired and I always wished there had been more. Fiction is one way to get it done.

peggy of sunnydale - Don't worry about the magic. I'll try to clear this up and put everyone at ease. It's a gentle, loving magic. Pure magic.

mollyig - I've always loved the way Willow and Tara interacted with one another. The big bad has something nasty planned...

snuggle79 - You got it!

Taras Shadow - Thanks! I hope I can keep you interested.

MissQuirky - Glad to see you again! Lots of Willow/Tara love coming up. The Dark One is reeaally trouble.

Katharyn - Thank you so much!

Now... on to Chapter Seven

Thanks to Katharyn for beta reading this for me. Her suggestions helped this story flow right along.

Chapter Seven

Tara brushed her finger across Willow’s cheek, wiping the tears away. Willow shifted her body so that her head rested in Tara’s lap. Tara sighed and brushed several red locks back from Willow’s face.

“Talk to me, Will.” she said.

“Everything’s different.” Willow answered and stroked her lover’s leg through the cover of the sheet.

“I know. You’re different, yet the same.” Tara cocked her head and her brows furrowed in thought. “The magic was softer and gentler.”

Willow looked up at her, slightly confused.

“I mean, not that you weren’t before.” She hastily added. “It’s just that this was different. It was nice.” She smiled.

Willow nodded, pleased that Tara noticed the change in her powers. “ It was. I wanted to you feel it, feel how it feels in me. I can do magic now without going to a dark place.” Her eyes drifted away, when the guilt of her past deed surfaced and slammed a lid over the pleased feeling.

“God, I wanted so much to come back, but I was afraid, you know. I feel really bad and I can barely look at anyone.” She turned her head on Tara’s thigh so that she was facing away from Tara. “It’s like the guilt and the pain are eating me up from the inside out. Which is icky, I know, but that’s how it feels.”

“It’ll pass.” Tara whispered and stroked the red hair that splayed over her leg.

“Will it?” Willow turned her head back and Tara’s heart ached when she saw the pain in Willow’s eyes. “I’m ashamed of myself, and this guilt… I can’t escape it. It won’t go away, no matter how much I try to make it.”

“You did what you had to do. You saved us.” Tara cupped her lover’s face in the palm of her hand and Willow shook her head sadly.

“I’ll never forget how empty I felt getting on that plane with Giles. I kept looking around for you and you weren’t there. It took a while for me to realize that I was leaving and going to another country without you by my side.” Willow turned back, looked up into the soft blue eyes of her lover and placed a hand over Tara’s heart. She could feel the heart beating underneath the skin, pulsing and warm. She was here, with Tara. This was real, and she was home. “I was so lonely without you.”

“I know. It was hard for me too. This house was so empty without you and everywhere I went, I felt so alone. But, you know what? I carried you in my heart.” Tara placed her hand over Willow’s and her eyes shone with unshed tears.

“Tara, I love you so much and I’m sorry for everything I’ve put you through.” Willow said.

“Shh…” Tara whispered soothingly. She pulled Willow up and their lips met in a soft, tender kiss.

Willow sank into the comforting softness of Tara’s body and trailed her fingers through the silkiness that was Tara’s hair. They pulled apart to gaze at one another. Willow was amazed at the love and understanding that shone in Tara’s eyes. She swallowed, suddenly feeling undeserving of such a wonderful woman.

Tara wrapped her arms around Willow’s shoulders and frowned when she saw the uncertainty in the green eyes that stared back at her.

“Will…” She started to say.

“You’re amazing, you know that?” Willow interrupted. “You respect magic and you use it wisely. Look at what I’ve done with my magic…” Willow paused. “I’ve destroyed things, ruined them.” She paused again and swallowed. “I don’t deserve you.” She started to push herself away, but Tara grabbed her and pulled her back.

“Will, please, don’t do this to yourself. You’ll only make things worse.”

“Worse? I didn’t think it could be worse.”

“I hurt too, Will, but not because of you. I hurt not just from seeing the pain in your eyes, but from feeling it.” She placed a hand over Willow’s heart and trailed a finger along the smaller jaw, lifting Willow’s bowed head. “It’s time to let go, Will.”

“I tried, Tara, but my own words haunt me.” She looked up at blue eyes that gazed deep into her soul. “Remember the story I told you about my ‘vampire’ self?” She continued when Tara nodded. “I remember telling Buffy that ‘vampire Willow’ and I didn’t have anything in common.” Willow gave a bitter laugh. “Well, looks like we do. She corrupted everything she touched.”

Willow realized what she had said. She realized what she was touching now and looked down at her hand over Tara’s heart. She knew that Tara, much less her heart, couldn’t be corrupted like that. Not Tara. She shifted her gaze back to Tara’s face. “Except for you,” she whispered. “But me for sure. Me… the things that I do. The things in my life. But not you.”

Tara straightened suddenly, understanding where Willow was going with this. She grasped Willow’s chin and forced her lover to gaze directly at her.

“Will, you are not evil.” She narrowed her eyes. “And I know evil.”

Chapter Eight

Anya, Buffy, Dawn, and Xander were walking up the street to their usual junction before they would split up and head home. Dawn glanced at Xander who absently kicked a pebble and watched it tumble across the concrete ahead of them. They chatted amiably at the ice cream parlor, but then their conversation became more melancholy. They talked mostly about Willow, Tara, and magic.

“Xander, we have to let her figure it out.” Buffy said.

“Buffy, I agree with Xander, Willow’s magic is dangerous.” Anya moved forward so that she was abreast of Xander. “We don’t know her full potential, and neither does she.”

“I…” Buffy started to say.

“All this talk about magic is bringing back some things I really don’t want to visualize.” Xander interrupted.

“Hey! Willow’s only been home, what, a few hours, and here we are, talking about her like she’s some evil witch!” Dawn cut in.

“Guys! Willow is in a world that we can’t possibly understand. I trust Tara to guide her through it.” Buffy cut in.

“Oh, like she did the last time?” Xander snapped.

“That’s not fair!” Dawn snapped back.

“Enough!” Buffy bellowed, placed her hands on her hips, and turned to face them. “We’re supposed to be her friends, her family. We’re supposed to be there for each other, no matter what. Yes, Willow screwed up, but you know what? She saved our sorry little asses!” She paused and they began walking again. “And you know what else? We screwed up too!” She bent her head, guiltily thinking about her sexual tryst with Spike and how she wasn’t there for her friends, especially Dawn. She slowed until she was beside her sister and wrapped an arm around the taller girl’s waist. Dawn looked over at her and smiled.

Xander shut his mouth and looked away only to meet Anya’s gaze. He swallowed, remembering how much pain he caused by leaving her at the altar, the day they were to be wed.

Anya, in turn, narrowed her eyes at Xander when he looked away. She shook her head and sighed before closing her eyes against the visions of her and Spike having sex at the Magic Box and then of the fight with Xander when he found out about their liaison.

Dawn looked at each of them in turn as they each disappeared into their own worlds of guilt. She looked down at the sidewalk and admitted that she was guilty too. She was immature and selfish, thinking only of herself and how unfair she thought everyone was being with her. Not that she was ever going to admit it to them. That was the teenager prerogative. She never even noticed how things had gotten so messed up until all hell broke loose. She was confused too, she didn’t understand how things could get so complicated. How were things supposed to get better? Suddenly she wasn’t so sure she wanted to be a grown up after all. She hoped that Willow and Tara were having a much better time than they.

Chapter Nine

Willow and Tara were still lounging in bed and Tara leaned in to kiss Willow, silencing any more talk of magic from her love. She took Willow’s lip between her teeth and teased with her tongue. Then she let go and gazed into Willow’s face.

“You are not evil, Will. Now kiss me.” Tara said firmly.

“No magic this time.” Willow whispered and leaned forward. Tara’s mouth curved into a sensual smile.

“It’ll take longer,” she teased.

“We have all the time in the world.” Willow responded before lowering herself and capturing Tara’s lips with her own.

“Um, sweetie…” Tara carefully pulled away and Willow looked at her questioningly. “I have class tonight. I need to get ready…” She looked over at the clock on the bedside table and gasped. “Like, now.” She jumped out of bed.

“If you hurry, you’ll make it… or not.” Willow raised a brow.

“Sorry, sweetie… test. No can do.” She said, hopping into her jeans. She looked over at the bed and smiled at the familiar pout on Willow’s face.

“We’ll talk more when I get home.” She tugged the shirt down over her head. “I want to hear about England.”

Willow paused in her effort to tuck the bed sheet around her and looked up at Tara.

“Okay… if you want.” Willow said.

“I want.” Tara answered with an encouraging smile.

Tara dug her feet into her already laced boots, grabbed her book, and with a quick kiss to Willow, slipped out the door. Willow watched her retreating figure and sighed forlornly but she was happy and couldn’t wait for Tara to come home. She knew there was much they needed to talk about and it would be intense.

She slipped from the bed and padded over to her knapsack. She opened it and pulled out her laptop and schoolbooks. She had been taking her courses online while in England. She glanced at her clothes on the floor and decided against getting dressed. She carried everything back to the bed and climbed back in. She was just settling down to read when searing pain lanced through her head. The pain only lasted for a few seconds and she blinked in confusion. When her head cleared she felt the last remnants of dark magick in the air and a jolt of fear ran through her. It wasn’t her magick, it came from somewhere else. She couldn’t tell where, but whatever it was, it wanted its presence known.

I was pleased to see Buffy stand up for Willow, and state her trust in Tara. As Willow's best friend it's what she should be doing.

Willow still seems plagued with the self hatred, the poor love.

Interested to read more about this new evil, and how it is Willow detected the magic.

Very intriguing; this is definitely a version of Willow being connected to magic that I can live with. I agree with Molly that it's good to see Buffy standing up for Willow and supporting her; she's right that they don't really know what Willow is going through. No one does, not even Tara, really.

It was probably good for Willow to have that time alone, to figure things out, but I imagine that the confidence they all noticed when she got off the plane is at least partly an indication of her magical confidence but also partly a cover for some realy fragility that is obviously still there, especially with regard to Tara.

But I'm very interested in this pain and what it means...

Thanks, Allyson.

Yes Allyson, I have quickly comes to realise, knows the appropriate use of a Cliff Hanger. It will be intersting in coming parts to see where those happen to fall*S* There will be times that you will really, really not want to see a part stop with the end of that chapter*S*

Beta readers perogative - TEASING!

This is working great Allyson and it is always interesting to see what other people pick up on as opposed to an overly focused beta reader*S* Just goes to show huh?

mollyig - Hi! Buffy loves Willow and I miss the fierce devotion Buffy used to have for her in the early seasons. Willow doesn't really hate herself per se, she's just trying to come to terms with what she has done. It's an awful feeling.

Tulipp - Hello! Yes, Willow is connected to a magic that no one can understand, not even Tara. Willow herself is trying to accept this new power. Ah, so you caught that there is an underlying fear within Willow! That part will come to light in a few chapters.

snuggle79 - Thanks! Yes, Buffy and Willow are best friends and I missed that unique bond that they shared.

Katharyn - To hang or not to hang... that is the question. Yeah, I know what you mean! Thanks for all your help, you're the best!

MissQuirky - Hey there. Tara is an incredibly strong person. Who helped her become that person? Willow. Now it's time for Tara to bring Willow out of her self-loathing and doubt. I know classes can be a pain. I kind of pulled this one out of an old memory ;) . More clues on the Dark One will be coming up in a few chapters.

sistakind - Hi there. Thanks!

I know I've been promising leather action. Don't worry, comming soon, but hey, I've got to build up to it don't I? ;)

Chapter Ten

Buffy walked upstairs to Willow and Tara’s room and was surprised to see only Willow lying sprawled across the bed, a sheet covering her naked body, and her nose buried in a book while her fingers tapped away on her laptop. She cleared her throat lightly and Willow looked up.

“Hey, Buffy.”

“Where’s Tara?”

“Oh, she has a statistics class tonight.”

“That’s math right?” Buffy asked and Willow chuckled at her friends typical reaction to all things mathy.

“Yeah, the statistical kind.” Willow joked.

“Whatcha doin’?” Buffy asked curiously, glancing at the intricately drawn networking diagram on the laptop which to her looked like a sewer map of Sunnydale.

“Oh, just catching up on my networking analysis class. I have to create a virtual network for this company we made up and then show how its possible to split subnets…” She pointed to various objects on the diagram and then paused briefly at Buffy’s perplexed expression. “…and it’s not really important.” She added. “So, what’s up with you tonight? Patrolling?” She finished.

“Yep.” Buffy answered.

“Would you like company, in the form of me?” The red head asked.

“Um… only if you get dressed first.” The slayer teased, glancing at Willow’s only partially covered but obviously nude body and then at the discarded clothes on the floor.

Willow chuckled awkwardly and tried not to blush. “Hey, just give me a couple of minutes and I’ll be ready.”

Buffy nodded and smiled at the double meaning of Willow’s response. “Okay.” She turned and went back downstairs.

Willow dressed quickly, remade the bed and followed Buffy down the stairs. She was surprised to see Dawn stuffing a stake into an inside pocket of her jacket. She looked at Buffy quizzically.

“Dawn’s been going on patrols with me. She’s not bad, chip off the old block.” Buffy said with a smile at Dawn. “Okay, we ready?”

They walked out the door and headed in the direction of the cemetery. The night was clear, crisp and a bit nippy. Willow burrowed her hands deeper into her jacket, thankful for the soft fur lining. Buffy pulled her knitted hat down around her ears and Dawn put on a pair of gloves. Their breath puffed out as white mist in the cold dry air.

“God, it’s cold!” Dawn complained.

“Yes. It’s called winter. Suck it up.” Buffy replied.

“Was it this cold in England, Willow?” Dawn asked.

“Not really, just wet. Wet and more wet.” Willow looked down at her feet.

“How are you, Will?” Buffy asked, glancing over at her friend.

“Honestly?” She met Buffy’s gaze and then continued when Buffy nodded. “I’m doing better than I was.” She paused and glanced up at the stars.

“I sense a ‘but’…” Buffy added.

Willow sighed and looked at her best friend. “You know me so well, Buffy. Too well when I’m trying to keep all this inside. I’m okay, really. A twinge of guilt here and there. You know, twinge.”

“And the magicks?” Buffy inquired.

“Under control.” Willow confirmed with a deep sigh.

“And that’s good, right?”

Willow gave her a small smile. “Yes.”

“But…” Dawn interjected.

“I know. People are afraid of me. The coven, Xander, and even both of you. I can sense it.” Willow lowered her head. “And I don’t need magic for that.”

Buffy and Dawn looked at each other quickly before pulling a surprised Willow into a hug.

“So that’s why you look so sad… and quiet? Will, we’re not afraid of you. We’re just…” Buffy began.

“…not comfortable with the magic part.” Dawn finished.

“I get that. I really do. Believe me when I tell you that it’s super-under control. But I’d be lying if I said completely super-under control, because it’s not. Not yet. But it will be. I promise. I just need time to get my strength back.”

“Will, no matter what, we’re your friends and I promise that we’ll stand by you.” Buffy said and Willow smiled gratefully before her expression turned serious.

“Buffy, there’s something very dark and evil brewing.” Willow said.

“Will, that’s pretty much the norm here.” Buffy replied. “Not surprising anyone with that one, though I was hoping for a happier response to our steadfastness.”

“I mean something very bad. I felt it.” Willow touched Buffy’s arm and the slayer’s expression changed from nonchalance to one of interest.

Willow was about to continue when an arm snaked through the turf at their feet and a vampire emerged. She turned when she sensed a presence behind her and came face to face with a demon. Thinking quickly she lowered her eyes to the ground and thick roots burst from it, entangling the demon’s legs. At a noise, she turned her head and saw at least a dozen demons approaching from behind Dawn. Realizing that they were in immediate danger, she cast her eyes to the ground, tilting her head fondly at the earth beneath her feet. Slowly, roots snaked themselves among the group of vampires. The demons struggled to free themselves, but the strong roots held them fast.

When another arm broke through the ground, Buffy and Dawn looked at one another. In unison, they pulled out stakes and promptly dusted the vampires before they were completely out of their graves. Surprised, Willow stared at them a moment before, speaking.

“Wow, a double dusting.” She looked back at the frozen demons. “Buffy, something weird here.”

“Yeah, tell me about it.” She dusted off the sleeves of her jacket and Dawn did the same.

“Ready?” She asked and at Dawn’s nod, she said to Willow, “Okay, let ‘em rip.”

“All of them?” Willow asked incredulously.

“Yeah. Why not? I’m in a mood.” Buffy quipped.

“Okay, but you’re letting me help, right?” Willow asked.

“Definitely.” Buffy assured her.

Willow glanced at the ground and the roots retreated, releasing the demons who charged. Skillfully, Buffy and Dawn waded through the advancing demons and dispatched them with practiced ease. There were a couple of close calls when Willow thought one of them might be in trouble and she would prepare a spell. After the fifth or sixth time she gave up and stood back, watching the slayer and her sister cover each other’s backs and cut deeper into the demon pack. Finally, there were none left to fight and Dawn leaned into Buffy, breathing hard.

“Good workout, huh, Dawn?” Buffy asked.

“Very.”

“Oh, wait. There’s still one left.” The slayer pointed to the prone demon kneeling on the ground.

“Oh. Oops.” Willow said.

She knelt and gently stroked the blades of damp grass. The roots that held the vampire fast, shrank from sight and disappeared back into the ground. He looked around and his face took on a terrified look when he saw ashes and dead demons on the ground.

“Aw, man. Buffy, they’re not going ‘poof’.” Dawn complained. “Does this mean we’ll have to shovel?”

The demon backed up a step and then pointed at Buffy. The slayer strode up to him before he could backup further and grasped him by the front of his shirt. She hefted him from the ground and chuckled when she glanced down at his feet, which were still in motion, back pedaling.

“You can stop now.” She told him.

“Put me down!” The demon demanded.

“You’re not like the others.” Buffy said after careful examination.

“Please. Put me down.” He pleaded.

“Okay.” She released her grip and he landed in a tangle of feet.

“You’re the slayer! You’re being hunted, did you know that? You and your friend.” He shifted his gaze to Willow before spinning around and running away. Buffy and Willow looked at one another.

“That was cryptic.” Buffy commented sarcastically.

“You’re being hunted.” Willow repeated and shrugged.

“So, what else is new?” The slayer grunted.

“Buffy, I think it was a warning. A warning in a big way.”

“The badness you felt?” Buffy asked.

“Yeah.” Willow answered.

“You’re being hunted too, why?” Buffy asked.

“Not a clue.” Willow replied and shook her head.

Chapter Eleven

In an old and damp cavern the Dark One sat on what resembled a throne. The structure was made from black granite and intricately carved with runes and of evil, violent beings too twisted and ugly to describe. His feet were soaking in a pool of warm blood as he rested quietly on his throne.

A minion, similar to the Dark One, shuffled into the room and stood before the pool.

“Master…” he began.

The Dark One lifted his hand, signaling for him to be silent and the minion lowered his head in supplication. The Dark One lowered his arm and lifted his head slowly. He opened his eyes, bright yellow orbs with a slash of black for irises, and gazed down at his servant.

“You failed, young Omius.” He said simply.

“No, ‘O Dark One.” The minion answered and the Dark Master leaned forward. “The demons failed, Master.” He paused and risked lifting his head to gaze at the Dark One. “We will try again, but this time we will go after those she cares about, her sister and her friends.”

“Hmm…” The Master smiled coldly, baring more of his long canines. “Very well.” He nodded and leaned his head back on the chair and closed his eyes, silently dismissing the minion.

Allyson, hunted? Scary and intriguing.

I like the way that Buffy recognizes that Willow's unusual quietness is a sign of her discomfort. This is a Buffy I long to see...one who is attuned to her friend's mood and expression. That seems very important to me. It's also the Buffy who can see Willow in a sheet, and neither is particularly embarrassed....

In a best friend kind of way, I find that very reassuring.

Thanks.

Chapter Twelve

Tara had returned from class and was undressing for her shower. She pulled the barrette free and her hair tumbled down around her shoulders. Her fingers nimbly unclasped her necklace and set it aside. Grasping the edges of her sweater she pulled it over her head.

"So, tell me about England." She said to Willow who lay casually across the bed, watching her. Willow always loved to watch her, but something else seemed to be on her mind right now.

"I can tell you about some new spells." Willow replied, reluctant to dive right into what troubled her most.

"Later. First, I want to hear what you wouldn't tell me in your emails." Tara, now shirtless, turned and faced Willow. Willow's eyes roamed over the creamy skin to rest on full breasts nestled inside a soft cotton bra. Her gaze was interrupted when Tara crossed her arms over them. She didn't intend to keep things from Tara and now was the time to talk about things that were foremost in her mind, face to face, and not through the impersonal keyboard of her laptop. Willow sighed heavily, swung her legs across the bed and sat up, suddenly tired of carrying the burden of her guilt. Tara moved to the bed and sat down next to Willow when she saw tears spring into the red head's eyes.

"Sweetie, what is it?" She asked and cupped Willow's cheek in her hand. Willow leaned in and wrapped Tara in her arms, snuggling up to her as tightly as she could and they leaned back into the pillows. Willow squeezed her eyes shut and took a deep breath before speaking.

"I'm just tired." She whispered and then paused when Tara's fingers stroked her hair. "And I saw darkness." Willow said into Tara's shoulder.

"What?" Tara prompted and ignored the small tendril of fear that began to creep into her mind.

"It's dark here, the earth, underneath." She answered somewhat cryptically.

"There'll always be darkness here, sweetie." Tara pulled back a little to look into Willow's face. "You mean something else though, don't you?"

"I felt it again, tonight." Willow shifted her shoulders and grimaced. "It made me feel…" She paused, wincing slightly. "…dirty."

Tara reached for Willow's hand that was on her shoulder, took it in hers and waited patiently for Willow to continue. Willow squeezed Tara's hand and covered it with her own.

"Sometimes my powers overwhelm me, you know. Sometimes I feel like…" She frowned, trying to find the words. "…an explosion waiting to happen." She circled the skin on Tara's hand with an index finger. "I can feel everything around me, as if they're all connected." She paused and looked up at Tara.

"Wow." Tara replied in awe.

"Wow for you, but not 'wow' for me. Sometimes it's just too much Tara, it gets too bright, too heavy."

"Bright? Heavy?" Tara queried not really sure what Willow meant as the magic didn't work that way for her.

Willow's brow furrowed in thought. "This power that I have, it's - you know - a powerful kind of power. I can… feel everything. Even you." She tried to explain when Tara tilted her head inquisitively. "If I look at you long enough I can… feel you. Feel what you're feeling. This power's really… yeah, well, so powerful that it can be overwhelming, you know." She chuckled ruefully. I have to work at it… try to stay in control." She paused.

"How?" Tara asked curiously.

"Well… I meditate mostly. It helps."

"Does it?" Tara wanted to know.

"Most of the time."

"But… sweetie… if you have a weakness then maybe it is anger, and that's like, well, one of the more dangerous of all the emotions when you are using magic," the blonde woman told her. "And… well you get angry when people you love are hurt. So angry it… It can be frightening, baby."

"Yeah, I know." Willow said quietly.

"Willow, I can feel your power and I know that you know that already - but whilst I can feel that I don't feel any darkness in you." She paused and her face cleared, finally understanding. "You just have to be careful not to let the anger get to you. Otherwise I suppose that the dark magick will be there for you, waiting to be used again because you can't stop other people getting hurt - you can only stop yourself."

Willow nodded and Tara swallowed, slowly processing this new revelation and her face took on a worried expression.

"Tara, I know that this frightens you, but I'm just being honest with you - I'm always honest with you, baby." She paused and took both of Tara's hands in her own. "The only reason I've gotten this far is because of the power you gave me and the power that the coven imbued me with. It's a part of me now and it will remind me of what I've done."

"The coven? What did they do, sweetie?" Tara asked apprehensively. She couldn't help worrying about what those women might have done to her Willow.

"Oh, no, Tara, it's not what you think. They didn't hurt me or anything." Willow assured her. "When they removed the bind you put on the dark power, they realized that they couldn't extract it. They were afraid that doing that would kill me." She bit her lower lip. "So, they imbued me with pure magic instead." Willow looked away.

"What happened, Will?" Tara asked anxiously, her heart picking up its pace, wondering about this new power.

Willow turned back to her and swallowed. "It's something I won't forget." She whispered. "I can't really explain it. It was… it was a shock. Suddenly everything cried out to me and I couldn't shut it out. I saw what I'd done and I was terrified."

"I know, sweetie." Tara said and smiled sadly. She placed her palm against Willow's cheek and Willow looked at her with soulful eyes.

"They helped me understand this power I have now. I learned about energy, molecules, root systems, Gaia and the Earth. It's not dark magic, Tara. It's pure magic. It's a part of me now and I'm responsible for it." Willow explained, looking away for an instant and then turning back.

"But, I don't want this, Tara. I miss who I used to be. I just want to be Willow."

Tara was overwhelmed with sorrow and her heart felt heavy. "Oh, sweetie. You are Willow, and you will always be Willow."

Willow shook her head. "The magic has changed me, Tara. I know that and it frightens me." Willow clasped Tara's hand tighter.

Tara lowered her head and kissed willow's forehead. Her brow furrowed in thought and came to realize that what she held in her arms was Willow. The source of her magic may have changed, but she was still Willow and Tara's was still in love with her. That much she knew remained unchanged.

"Tara, there are so many what 'if's'. What if I make a mistake, go all hell bent and homicidal again, what if…"

"Shhh." Tara placed a finger over Willow's mouth. "It'll be okay." Tara told her reassuringly. "I love you , Willow." She whispered.

Willow closed her eyes, a lump formed in her throat and she swallowed. She didn't realize how much she needed to hear those words. Opening her eyes, bright with unshed tears, she searched Tara's face and saw the love in her eyes.

"I love you too, Tara." She replied and brought Tara's hand to her lips, brushing a kiss over Tara's knuckles before laying her head back down.

They lay there quietly for several moments and Willow listened to the mellow sound of Tara's heart beating. The sound was both comforting and reassuring. Willow sighed deeply and decided to move to a lighter subject.

"Say, don't you have a shower to take?" She said, smiling half-heartedly and looking quickly up at Tara.

"Come on, take it with me." Tara invited, pulling Willow to her feet and leading her into the bathroom. "Let's see if we can wash that dirty away."

Tara turned on the faucet and then flipped the knob to turn on the shower. She peeled off the rest of her clothes and stepped into the streaming water. She lifted her head and let the water jet down over her face and into her hair. She felt Willow step in behind her and smiled. She wiped the water from he face and turned around. Willow had already lathered her hands with soap and proceeded to wash Tara, starting at the shoulders and then knelt so she could work her way down to Tara's legs.

Tara sighed contentedly and raked her fingers through Willow's wet hair. Her skin tingled where Willow's hands brushed over her and left behind a trail of soapy lather. She smiled lovingly down at Willow when a pair of arms wrapped themselves around her hips and Willow's warm cheek came into contact with her skin. Slowly, Willow released her and stood up.

After shampooing and rinsing her hair, Tara moved to the side so they could trade places. While Willow washed her hair, Tara reciprocated with a well-deserved massage, using the soap to deliver long and slow strokes across Willow's shoulders and back.

Willow was in heaven in spite of all her worries. This was what she needed. Who she needed. Tara made everything better. She leaned forward and rested her palms against the cool tiled wall. The hot water sent up clouds of steam and she inhaled deeply. Tara's hands stroked over her shoulders, arms and back, relaxing her. She smiled when Tara leaned into her back and wrapped her arms around her waist. Reluctantly she opened the shower door and retrieved their towels. Their gazes met when she handed Tara her towel.

"I feel a little better," she said.

"I know." Tara nodded, reached out and laid a gentle hand on Willow's arm.

Chapter Thirteen

The slayer lay in her bed and her sleep was fraught with disturbing dreams. She tossed and turned, the sheets wrapping around her slight form and then fitfully, she tossed the coverlet aside. Her head moved from side to side and she mumbled incoherently.

She was breathing hard, pumping her arms as fast as she could, and her feet pounded across the wet grass. She dodged and vaulted over headstones trying to put distance between herself and whatever it was that was chasing her. She glanced back and saw something, but she couldn't make out its form. Its shape was fluid and it rippled across the ground, advancing rapidly.

She ducked behind a crypt and pressed up against the cold stone. Her breath exhaled in fast puffs of mist while she took a short rest and crept around to the other side, out of sight. She looked up and several vampires were approaching. She sighed dejectedly, but her breath caught when her body suddenly went cold. She peered around the corner and the shimmering, shifting shape that she had been running from slid by. She watched it, rooted to the spot, fascinated and afraid. When she finally looked up she was surprised to see the vampires backing away and moving off to blend in with the darkness.

She shivered and rubbed her hands over her arms, but when she looked at her hands, she froze in horror. Her skin was chalky white and her long nails where painted black. She held them out in front of her and they shook. She swallowed her fear and slowly put her hands over her forehead. Her fingers trailed over the rough ridges and her tongue traced over two long canines.

Her knees buckled and she fell to the ground. She looked up into the heavens and cried out.

She jerked awake violently and her hands flew to her face. She exhaled in relief when she felt the smooth skin of her forehead. Her body was covered with a layer of sweat and she gulped in air as the last fragments of the dream floated across her mind. She untangled the damp sheet from around her legs and climbed wearily out of bed. She hated the Slayer dreams.

Buffy walked over to the window and looked outside. Streaks of red and gold colored the horizon signaling the arrival of dawn and the end of night. She sighed, picked up her robe from the back of a chair and shrugged into it. She padded softly down the hall, stopping to peek in on Dawn. She opened the bedroom door a crack and peered in. Her sister was sleeping peacefully so she closed the door quietly and continued on.

She passed by Willow and Tara's room and her sharp ears picked up muffled threads of conversation. She went down the stairs, through the dining room, kitchen, and out the door to the back yard. She stopped short when she saw Xander sitting on the steps, seemingly deep in thought.

"Xander!" She said in surprise.

"Yah!" He exclaimed, nearly jumping out of his skin. "Jeez, Buff, you always sneak up on people like that?"

"On occasion." She teased, amused by his reaction. "So, what brings you to my stoop?" Then she remembered what time it was, "And before dawn too."

"Willow." He said simply and turned the collar of his coat up around his neck.

"Ah, Willow." Buffy sighed. "Xander, come inside, you're looking like a big popsicle."

"Nah, that's okay. I couldn't sleep so went walking, and ended up here. I was thinking about stopping in for breakfast and talking to Willow, but seeing how she and Tara are all into each other, not that I mean that they are… you know… into each other. But - Are they into each other?" He paused and shook his head. "Anyway, how is she?"

"She's good, Xander." Buffy smiled at his rambling.

"No badness?" He queried.

"Nope." Buffy answered and he nodded. "Badness is not at home in the Summers house. Well not tonight anyway."

"Good." He started to turn away and head home.

"Xander…" Buffy stopped him and he turned back. "She's okay, really."

"How do you know? Buffy, you saw what happened, what she became."

"She's not like that now. And that's good."

"When I look at Willow I still see you know, Willow when she was plain and shy." Xander looked down and drug his shoe across the grass. "I remember our first day of kindergarden. She broke her yellow crayon and was afraid to tell anyone." When he looked up, his eyes were wet with unshed tears. "She's changed so much. She's been my best friend my whole life, but I don't think I know her anymore."

"We've all changed, Xander. Things change. People change. Nothing ever stays the same. That's life." She stepped down a step and tugged her robe tighter about herself. "Talk to her. She's still Willow and she still loves you."

He nodded before continuing. "You think Tara can handle this?"

"Yes. She's the closest thing to the magicks we have. She'll understand better what Willow is going through. What Willow needs is for us to believe in her." She paused to look at Xander before stepping back up. "Now, are you coming in or not?"

"No. I think I'll head home" He smiled, somewhat mollified by what Buffy said to him. "So, we still going to the Halloween Ball?"

"Yep, that's all Dawn talked about today. Yesterday. Urrrgh whenever today and yesterday were. She was talking."

"Well, at least it'll be quiet, it being Halloween and all." He nodded to Buffy. "See you later." He said before turning and heading home.

Buffy stood on the landing, her hand on the doorknob, watching him walk away. She sighed and looked out over the fence and tall shrubs that lined it to the rising yellow orb that was the sun, its warming rays softening the remaining cold edges of night. Quietly, she turned the knob and stepped back inside.

Chapter Fourteen

"I don't care what you think, Xander," Anya admonished him, "bunnies scare me. Bunnies are mean, scary creatures so I'm wearing this costume!"

Dawn snickered and Buffy rolled her eyes.

"An, if that's what you want, fine. I'm not arguing with you." Xander defended himself.

"Well, I think it's much more interesting than Count Dracula. I'd think you'd pick something a little less common." Anya jabbed, glancing at the costume he held in his hands. "Besides that doesn't look anything like his shirt - and you should know after being his minion and fawning over him."

"Dracula. Great." Buffy mumbled under her breath. "Just what I want to look at all night."

"He probably won't be the only one. Wouldn't it be interesting if the real Dracula showed up?" Dawn jibed and Buffy shot her a look.

"Let's not be mentioning me and the dark prince…" They stopped and looked at him. "Okay fine, make fun of my costume and see if I care. You want to dress up as the energizer bunny, fine. I was just saying that to us humans, vengeance demons are much scarier and you wouldn't even need a costume." Xander shot back.

"Will those two ever stop?" Dawn asked and Buffy merely shook her head.

It was the day before Halloween and Dawn pestered Buffy to take her to the costume shop. The pace in the store was frantic and many of the good costumes were already sold out. Buffy wished she had done this earlier. She brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. She looked up at Dawn, who was on the other side of the rack, looking for a costume for herself. Over her shoulder Willow and Tara were in the back part of the store. Tara was pulling out items and handing them to a very flustered Willow. She wondered what was going on, but was interrupted by Dawn's voice.

"Buffy, is that it?" Dawn asked.

"What?" Buffy replied, looking up at her sister.

"Your costume?" Dawn motioned to the costume draped loosely over her arm.

"I guess so. Kind of lame, huh?"" Buffy said and continued her search along the rack and looked up when Tara appeared.

"Dawnie, how's this?" Tara asked and held up a costume. Buffy tried to peer over the rack, but couldn't make out what it was that Tara was holding.

"Oh! I love it!" Dawn snatched the costume from Tara's hands before Buffy could walk around the rack and see what it was.

Tara giggled and watched as Dawn made her way to one of the dressing rooms to try on the costume. The blonde turned when she heard her name. Willow's head was poking out from between one of the dressing room curtains. She smiled and headed towards her lover and Willow stepped back into the dressing cubicle. Tara slipped between the curtains and stopped to take in the sight before her.

Finally, Tara blinked and her heart began beating faster. Her eyes went from square-toed black boots to matching leather chaps. Willow wore a pair of form fitting gray leather pants underneath and Willow's rear, although small, was enhanced by the low cut of the chaps underneath. A wide leather belt with round studs held the chaps in place. Willow tugged on the black leather vest so that it fit snuggly over her small breasts and turned the matching leather bands on her wrists.

Willow looked at her reflection in the mirror and stared at herself. She touched the tiny lines that were etched around her eyes and on her forehead. Outwardly, she gave no indication of her emotional state, but when she looked into her own eyes, she saw shadows of guilt and sadness. Her thoughts were interrupted by Tara's voice and she turned her head to look at her lover.

"Very nice." Tara said huskily.

Willow looked back at her reflection and her eyebrows rose despite Tara's obvious approval. "Tell me again why I'm doing this?"

"Halloween, Will. That time when everyone can dress up and act out their wildest fantasy."

"Really?" Willow said inquisitively and Tara smiled mischievously, her mouth quirking upwards on one side.

"Who's fantasy is this?" Willow asked and Tara's eyes twinkled. "Okay, I'd like to see you all decked out in sexy leather." Willow challenged.

Tara saw the troubled look on Willow's face reflecting back at her from the mirror and Willow thought she hadn't seen it. Her heart went out to her lover, knowing that Willow will always be tormented by her guilt. She wanted Willow to feel better and she knew that in time all this would fade into a distant, but not forgotten memory. Right now Willow needed her love and Tara was determined to give her that, but she also wanted Willow to have some fun too. She bit her lip and thought for a moment.

"Tara, baby…" Willow started, but Tara signaled for Willow to stay put and darted out of the fitting room. "Oh, boy." Willow muttered and peeked through the slit in the curtain. She had to admit that there was a certain seductiveness to this little game they were obviously playing and smiled. She shifted her gaze back to the mirror and ran a hand down her pant leg, relishing the feel of the cool leather. A memory, like a film clip, flashed across her mind. She was wearing leather and a pale, thin hand slid over her stomach, infusing her with lust. Then the images changed. The Sorceress encircled her from behind and together they raised a knife with a curved blade into the air. She swallowed and ground her teeth against the bile that threatened to rise from her stomach. Willow shook her head and forced the memory of how she was almost seduced by an evil sorceress to the back of her mind. She turned her attention back to the store and searched for Tara. She opened the slit a bit wider and found her lover back among the leather racks. Just looking at Tara made her smile and she felt better, knowing that she was safe with her. There was nothing bad about Tara, she was forgiving, loving, selfless, and most importantly, understanding.

"She's really going through with this." Willow whispered. Secretly she was excited and it startled her how easily some things that had seemed so big would disappear in the face of that.

"It's just leather." She said to herself. "But, Tara in leather… hmm, that's good." Suddenly, some very sexy images of Tara chased themselves around in her head and she felt heat growing in pleasant places. Willow exhaled, puffing out her cheeks. When Tara approached, she stepped back. Tara entered and dropped her leather items on a small bench. She smiled at Willow before turning her back and pulling off her top and bra. Willow craned her head and her jaw dropped when Tara picked up a tight fitting corset. She pulled it down over her head and fitted it snuggly around her more ample bosom. She glanced over her shoulder at Willow.

"Will, would you tighten the lacing please?" She asked and Willow obliged wordlessly, pretty certain that actual words were beyond her.

Tara tugged on matching leather pants that sat low on her hips. The legs were split on the outside but held together with a series of round silver conchos. She sat down on the other bench and slipped on a pair of boots with four-inch heels. Tara looked up at Willow and gave her a sultry smile before standing up and slipping on a pair of black leather gloves and a matching short coat. She lifted her long hair and let it fall across her shoulders.

"So, you like?" Tara asked. She held out her arms and turned slowly in a circle.

"Oh, yes." Willow answered with a steamy look in her eyes.

Tara picked up a small leather whip and handed it to Willow. Willow took it and turned it around in her hands, not exactly sure what to do with it. A dark image began to form unbidden in her mind, but before it could take shape, she shook her head and thought about Tara, in leather. Her imagination took over, began seeing images of the soft leather strands of cattail caressing Tara's smooth and creamy skin. She shook herself out of the fantasy when Tara spoke.

"Oh, one last thing." Tara picked up a wide leather collar and snapped a leash into the metal loop. Willow's eyes widened when her lover buckled it around her neck.

"I need to be leashed?" Willow asked awkwardly. This was a little more than she had planned on.

"Oh, no. I think you know exactly where you belong." Tara said. "But then again, it might be interesting. Me leading you around. Now, what would people think?" Tara continued and Willow gulped, caught completely off guard and at a loss for words.

Tara smiled and then giggled. She took hold of the leash and tugged, pulling Willow to her. Willow stumbled forward and Tara kissed her gently on the lips. Willow put aside her guilt and thoughts of regret when Tara's soft lips touched hers. Her inner voice was silenced and her conscious was soothed when Tara's love flowed through her. Willow's troubled mind stilled and the world dropped away.

Willow moaned when she felt Tara's tongue teasing her mouth open. She moaned louder when the painful throbbing between her legs began. A small fire grew in her belly and it suffused her body with its heat. The cattail whip fell from Willow's grasp to the floor and she pulled Tara tighter against her.

Tara released her hold on the collar and backed Willow up against the wall. She pulled Willow's arms from around her waist. Clasping Willow's hands in her own, she raised them over Willow's head, held them there against the wall and pressed herself into Willow. Tara's tongue dove deep into Willow's mouth and the red head surrendered, relaxing her arms, and emptying her mind of everything except Tara. Tara inserted her knee between Willow's legs and pushed it upwards, against her lover's core.

Willow responded instinctively to Tara's ministrations, grinding herself down on Tara's leather clad leg and breathing hotly into her mouth while their tongues danced and teased. She felt the cool leather of Tara's gloves against the warm skin of her hands and arms. The smell of leather was suddenly intoxicating. Willow's mind was racing and her body was consumed with hot flashes of desire. Desire to be ravaged by this beautiful woman. She didn't care how, she just wanted Tara to take her, and take her now. She dove into Tara's mouth, hungrily seeking more.

Consumed by passion, Tara probed deeper with her tongue, pushing Willow more firmly into the wall. She could feel the heat from Willow on her leg and pushed upwards again. Willow elicited a muffled gasp from their linked mouths. Finally they pulled apart, panting for air. They stared into each other's eyes, and slowly Tara lowered their arms.

"Let's go home." Willow suggested breathlessly, excited by Tara's sudden assertiveness. Her face was flushed and a thin sheen of perspiration shone on her forehead.

"Oh, yes." Tara answered huskily, her face flushed as well. "I want you to tell me your fantasy." Tara whispered and Willow grinned, shrugging into her long leather coat while Tara picked up their clothes and cattail whip.

"By the way, this is for me." She said with a sly grin and tucked the small whip into one of her coat pockets.

She took a stunned Willow by the hand and quickly led them from the fitting room. They stopped short, almost colliding with Anya, Buffy, Dawn and Xander in their haste.

The group quickly took in Willow and Tara's costumes. Xander's jaw dropped and Dawn's mouth opened to form a small 'o'. Buffy raised her brows in amusement and Anya nodded in approval.

"Wow, leather. A leather thing. Both of you… uh, I like the look." Buffy broke the startled silence and then sensed the sexual energy in the air. She looked at the costume draped over her arm and shook her head. "I so need a life." She groused.

Willow and Tara gazed lustfully at one another and Willow leaned over, whispering into Tara's ear a clue to her fantasy.

"The chocolate!" Tara exclaimed.

"What, now?" Xander asked, perplexed by Tara's sudden outburst.

"Oh, we, uh, forgot the candy." Willow explained.

"Yeah." Tara added hastily.

"Um, we'd better get going and get the candy." Willow said and they quickly paid for their purchases and exited the store. As they walked out the door Xander shook his head.

"I just noticed something." He said. Anya, Dawn and Buffy looked at him expectantly.

"They're not getting candy." He shifted his gaze from Dawn to Buffy. "I know what they're up to."

"Xander…" Buffy began.

"They're doing stuff that I...." He stopped himself and shook his head. " I gotta get a life." He mumbled and Buffy shot him a look.

"I should try leather, whips and chains." Anya said, startling everyone into a dead silence, except for Xander who gulped audibly. "I could torture for days!" She exclaimed, but then sobered. "Then again some men might actually like it." She looked pointedly at Xander. "Where would the vengeance be in that?" She sighed dejectedly.

Wonderful that Willow is telling Tara of her concerns and fears, together they can get through anything.

Buffy's dream has me concerned.

And yeah I think the Scoobs should definitely get a life!

This is great Allyson. I love the scenes that you set up for the characters. They get their part and that deals with exactly what you want to say. It works well.

I know... I cheated I got to see it earlier so you already know what I think. The changes that you made help it flow from one chapter to another and what chapters. Now I guess I can go look at everything up to part 20 and see what is going to happen. Here is a freebie though...

There is more coming with the leather *TEASE*

Oh yes there is.

A follow-up to "The House that Jane Build".. good. I thought that it's ending could use some follow-up indeed :D Esp. where ungratefull Xander is concerned, heh. (rest assured, it's very rare I actually *like* Xander in any fic)

I feel sorry for Willow, she saved her friends alright but now she's kinda stuck with feeling all guilty :( As long as she doesn't get angry she's alright, hmm... well if that Dark person goes after Tara, Willow is bound to angry I dare say. Then again, whats soooo bad about Dark Magic ? It's more what you DO with it I think.... avoiding soapbox here :)

stopping now...

mollyig - yes, Willow and Tara can get through anything, and I'm a firm believer. Buffy's dream is a slayer dream and it's a warning. The scoobs eventually get a life, I hope.

Katharyn: Thanks! You've been a great helping me keep my focus. Hey! Stop giving out spoilers! Nah, don't mind, really, there is much more leather coming up...cold showers may be in order...

Grimlock72 - Xander is hard to write, he's a boy in a man's body and can be oh, so clueless sometimes. The evil in this story starts to make more appearances later on. No, Dark magic may not be a bad thing, but can Willow control it?

barnabasvamp - hmm, I'm just getting warmed up. More hot leather and smut coming up...

Now on to Chapter 15. Disclaimer warning. Rating: NC-17, for nudity, sexual situations, and violence. This is my first attempt at writing some smut…with some action and suspense… There's light S/M, sexual situations, and of course... leather and lots of choclolate...

Chapter Fifteen

Willow and Tara burst through the front door and into the foyer between the living room and dining room.

“Did you see those guys staring at you?” Willow said to a breathless Tara.

“No. I was too busy thinking about getting here without tripping over my heels.” Tara breathed. When she caught her breath, she giggled. “You got quite a few stares yourself.”

“I did, huh?” Willow smiled and pulled Tara into her arms.

“Oh, yes.” Tara answered. She cupped Willow’s face in her hands, leaned in and kissed soft lips.

Without breaking the kiss, Willow shrugged out of her coat and tossed it in the general direction of the sofa. She might have missed, but she didn’t care. She reached out with her arm and shut the front door. She reached under Tara’s coat and wrapped her arms around the blonde’s waist, her fingers trailing along the stitching in the leather bodice. She heard Tara drop their shopping bags on the floor. Her tongue dove into Tara’s mouth and she purred when gloved fingers raked into her hair. With wet kisses she made her way down Tara’s neck to the deep cleavage, her tongue tasting the slight saltiness of her lover’s skin. She rested her hands on Tara’s hips and circled the exposed skin between the leather pants and bodice with her fingertips and captured Tara’s lips again, caressing the velvety soft tongue inside.

Willow walked Tara backwards to the stairs and they made it up a few steps before stumbling. Tara broke the kiss, grabbed Willow’s hand and rushed them up the stairs and into the bedroom. She pulled Willow inside, shut the door and brought Willow back and up against it. Before Willow could register anything, Tara captured Willow’s lips in a searing kiss that left both of them even more breathless. She leaned in again and pressed her body fully against Willow. Their lips met and she caressed Willow’s lips with her tongue. Every breath threatened to free her from the corset that held her full breasts.

Willow slid the leather coat down Tara’s arms and tossed it aside. She set her hands on Tara’s hips and guided them to the bed where Tara turned them around, surprising Willow once again by refusing just to follow. Willow opened her mouth, but Tara kissed her, and she forgot what she was about to say.

They broke the kiss and Tara pushed against Willow’s chest with her gloved hand. “Back.” She said and Willow laid back on the bed. Tara followed her down, straddling her hips.

“So you thought you could come home and have your way with me?” Tara said looking down at Willow. Tendrils of long wavy hair slid forward, partially hiding her face.

“Uh huh.” Willow answered and slid her hands along Tara’s leather clad thighs.

Tara tilted her head and looked at Willow with lidded eyes. “You did, huh?”

“Hmm hmm, and I did, remember?” Willow murmured and her mouth turned upwards into a slow grin.

“You’re a vixen, you know that?” Tara laughed and slowly opened the top button on Willow’s vest. She tilted her head and stopped just as her fingers touched the next button down. She smiled mischievously and Willow’s eyes went wide in a silent question.

“Uh, Tara, baby, what are you thinking?” Willow started to sit up but Tara stopped her and pushed her back down.

“Oh, I think you’ll like this.” She climbed off the bed and Willow’s face took on a worried expression. “Oh, sweetie, it’s okay. I’ll be right back.” Tara’s eyes twinkled. “Stay.” She said before turning to the door.

“I trust you.” Willow whispered and Tara stopped. She turned back and her face softened.

Willow’s eyes roamed from the heeled boots on Tara’s feet to the slit in the pant leg that exposed her to the hip, held together only by a series of round silver discs. Her eyes moved upwards past the waistband of the pants to the soft skin on her stomach. The short corset pushed her ample bosom upwards, making them look fuller and rounder. Willow unconsciously licked her lips as her eyes traveled across the smooth shoulders, over full red lips, and stopping at the twin orbs of blue, deepening now from the passion that was burning behind them. Willow doubted that Tara was aware of how she dominated the room.

“I know.” She replied, looking lovingly at Willow before turning around and walking out of the bedroom.

Willow watched her go, strained her ears and heard Tara’s footfalls on the steps, across the floor downstairs and into the kitchen.

Tara opened the refrigerator door and peered inside. Shifting some items aside, she pulled out a squeeze bottle of chocolate syrup and smiled.

Things were about to get sticky.

Chapter Sixteen

Willow heard the refrigerator door close and then a few seconds later the microwave beep. She frowned, wondering what her lover was up to. With Tara gone, tendrils of sadness began to edge their way into her consciousness. Willow sighed resignedly, but when she heard Tara’s boots clicking back across the floor and up the stairs the feeling faded, replaced by growing anticipation and excitement. She swallowed and tried to remain calm, but her chest continued to rise and fall rapidly and she could feel her heart beating loudly against her ribs.

Finally, Tara appeared but her arms were behind her back, hiding the bottle of syrup. When she approached the bed she pulled out the item and Willow’s eyes went wide.

“Oh.” Was all she could muster and her mouth went dry.

Tara set the warm bottle of chocolate syrup on the nightstand by the bed and slowly peeled off her gloves, one finger at a time, first from the right hand and then the left. Setting the gloves on the other side of the nightstand she leaned down and grasped the leash on Willow’s collar. Gently, she pulled Willow upright to a sitting position and moved between the red head’s legs, pushing them apart. She picked up the bottle from the nightstand and squeezed a drop of the dark syrup on her finger. She raised the finger to her mouth, watching Willow’s eyes follow her every move. She slipped the digit inside and sucked it clean before pulling it back out. She squeezed another drop of chocolate onto her finger and obediently, Willow’s mouth opened when her digit approached. She slid her finger into Willow’s ready mouth and stifled a moan when Willow’s hot tongue wrapped itself around it. Slowly, she withdrew it and Willow licked her lips.

“Open your mouth and let me see your tongue.” She said.

Willow snaked her fingers up along the inside of Tara’s leather corset and opened her mouth. She looked up into deep pools of blue and stuck out her tongue.

Tipping the bottle, Tara dribbled a few drops of chocolate onto Willow’s pink tongue, then leaned down and kissed her. Her tongue swirled around Willow’s, mixing the sweet syrup. She swallowed as did Willow and the warm liquid slid smoothly down their throats. Tara set the bottle down and moved her hands to the front of Willow’s vest. Slowly she pushed the buttons through the buttonholes and peeled back the vest, exposing Willow’s breasts. With her hand she pushed Willow back down onto the bed and picked up the chocolate bottle once again. She leaned down, supporting herself on an elbow and squeezed a few drops onto Willow’s breast, the dark liquid moved down over a rising nipple and Tara fastened her mouth over it.

“Tara!” Willow cried out when Tara’s mouth suddenly sucked on her breast. Willow thought her heart would beat itself out of her chest. Arousal surged through her and she ran her hands gently through Tara’s silky hair, craving more. With each flick or stroke of Tara’s tongue, Willow whimpered and pushed herself harder against Tara’s mouth. She moaned again when an ache slowly formed between her legs and wetness escaped from within.

“Oh!” Willow gasped when she felt more warm liquid dribble on her skin in the valley between her breasts and then the feel Tara’s tongue. “Goddess!” She murmured as Tara’s tongue began licking up the chocolate, leaving a trail of wetness behind. The blonde repeated the process on the other side, eliciting more moans from her lover. She ran the tip of her tongue over the erect nipple, gathering the chocolate, before taking it into her mouth. With her teeth she nipped gently and smiled when Willow’s back arched and a deep moan escaped from the red head’s throat.

Tara squeezed another trail of chocolate across Willow’s taut stomach to the small dimple that was her belly button. Her tongue followed the trail and Willow’s sensitive skin twitched. She stopped at the edge of the waistband of Willow’s pants.

“Please…” Willow whispered.

“What do you want, sweetie?” Tara teased. She stood up and placed the bottle back on the night stand.

“You.’ Willow replied, huskily.

“You already have me.” Tara answered. She ran her fingers along the waistband of her pants and saw Willow’s eyes follow her every move. She pushed the button through the hole slowly and pulled down the zipper, folding the edges back to expose skin and curly blonde hair. She smiled again when Willow licked her lips. Putting her arms behind her she loosened the lacing to the corset and slowly pulled it up over her head. Shaking out her hair, she let the item fall to the floor. She ran her fingers through her long tresses and then down over her breasts, to the open flaps of her pants.

Definitely spoiling us Alyson. Leather. Chocolate syrup.

I'm a natural pessimist though, and I'm convinced something's gonna spoil the fun!
