Tara sighed as she walked through the front door. It had been a long day; too long. All she wanted to do was to take a long hot bath and snuggle up to Willow. She turned into the living room and saw that it was lit with candles all around the room. She wondered what the special occasion was, until she remembered the date. It was three years since her and Willow had cast their first proper spell together; when they floated the rose. She was about to go and find her lover when she noticed and envelope with her name written on it lying on the coffee table. She picked it up and began to read.
Tara,
You might think it’s corny, me writing you a letter. But there are things I need to tell you that I can only express in words.
First of all; you are my everything. Never forget or doubt that fact. You are the person who completes my heart. I was put on this Earth to love you and make you happy, I know that.
You make believe that I am special, and I want to make you feel the same way; forever. Whenever I feel sad, or angry, one look from you and the world is a better place again.
The way you make me feel is indescribable. You are the only person that has ever made my heart truly beat, and my lips really smile. You make the world an easier and happier place for me to live in and I love you.
There will never be enough time in this life for you to know how much you mean to me. I need to know you feel the same
I know you love me, and I know you’re happy with me, even after all that has happened. But I need to know that you’re feelings are the same as mine; that’s why I had to write this letter.
If you only had two minutes left on this planet, would you spend them with me?
If you were dying, would you’re last word be my name?
Would your dying wish be to hold me in your arms again one last time?
If you were asking me these questions, every answer would be yes. I love you, and I will always love you no matter what happens in this lifetime. You will always be my everything.
Every day that we are together, I fall more in love with you. I learn something new almost every day about you that makes me want to scream to the whole world that I love Tara Maclay and I always will.
That’s why I need to know you love me as much as I love you. I need to know that you truly want to spend the rest of your life with me, loving me and being loved by me. Sharing everything with me; forever.
If you want the same things as I do, then your answer to this question will be yes.
Tara, will you marry me?
Will.
Tara let her tears fall freely. What had she done to deserve Willow?
She ran upstairs into their room and saw her lover sitting waiting on the bed. She walked over and kissed Willow soundly on the mouth.
She pulled back slightly.
“Yes.” She said, before their lips met again.
The End
