OMG! Amazing...... :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow

:hmm you know.... I'd so pay fifty billiondy Dollors for the original....Wanna sell? ( I know that's not really an amount)

I love your style. I know you say you're not really a painter, but may I make a suggestion? ........ My suggestion is that maybe you take up painting on a regular basis... and don't forget the posting. I would love to see more of your work. Awesome Job! Thanks for sharing.

PS.....you've won my heart through acrylics :love

EasierSaid- Thanks for your kind comments. I'm glad that you like my painting. I'm still working on the Tara one. Will let you know when I finish it. Who knows? I might go back and read you wonderful story and be inspired again. *runs off to your thread*

MissKittys Ball O Yarn- Fifty billiondy dollars? Wow. Now I feel all special. I will keep going with the painting. I will see what else I can come up with for posting. I have a lot of stuff, it's just not W/T oriented. I have an Angelina Jolie drawwing.. Bunch of different drawings. I've yet to try my hand at W/T drawings. But it's coming... lol. Won your heart through acrylic? I'm honored. *bows deeply* Thanks for the nice comments.

behindhereyes- Thank you for your lovely comments.

hehe another masterpiece. I love it, and Im certainly glad that you have continued to post. I love the profile effect, you've done it so well, and being an artist myself, I can attest to the fact that profiles are not as easy to pull off as they appear to be. Yours is certainly splendid. Keep up the good work. :bow

EasierSaid- Hi. Thanks again for your comments. Maybe if you update your story, I'll be inspired to do more... nudge, nudge, wink wink ;)

JK, take your time. However, your story did inspire me already.

Kittys Ball O Yarn- Thanks you for your kind comments. I'm working on the color distinction for the skin tones. I am trying to work my way up to a frontal view of a face. I've done them before, but I was never satisfied with the outcome.

Kajun- I've been pondering one of the girls together. I've been freezing the DVDs for the pictures that I've done. I just have to find good clear pictures to use. It's definitely been on my mind to do one of Willow and Tara together. :D

I added a Willow and Tara drawing as per Kajun's request. I know it's not a painting, but this is the medium that is my favorite to work with.

Enjoy! :)

PoorEve- Thanks for the compliments.

Kajun- Yeah, I loved that moment. It was definitely one of the more intimate moments of early fifth season. Plus, I found a photo to work from, which is better than trying to draw it off the tv. Maybe I'll do another Willow/Tara one. Who am I kidding? I' going to end up with a sketchbook full of them... lol.

EasierSaid- Hi there. :bigwave Hope you're feeling better. Thanks again for your comments.

behindhereyes- Hello again. I really liked that scene from "Real Me." I got into Buffy over the summer after seeing a link to this board, so I wasn't watching the story progress from Hush onwards. (I actually watched it really out of order.) I had read some of the scripts online, but I hadn't read that one, so I was pleasantly surprised by the moment. It had "AWWWW" written all over it. I was hoping to capture the moment and was pleased with the outcome. Glad you like. :)

I will have some free time coming up. Hmm, maybe time for another drawing... what to do, what to do... :D

Hi again. First I'd just like I really liked the sketch and the new painting. The sketch, though a little rough around the edges has a wonderfully rich quality to it. I really liked the colors you chose for the painting though the overall piece came off feeling a little flat and two dimensional. I really hope that you haven't stopped posting your creative endeavors, cause I really do like to see them.

Miss Kittys Ball o Yarn~

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Thank you for the comliments. I've been drawing for years, so I'm much more well-versed in it. I'm just starting to learn how to paint. I've only done about seven paintings, so I'm a beginner with it. I am enrolled in a painting class now, so hopefully I'll learn how to improve.

I stopped posting for a while on this thread as no one was offering any comments, positive of negative. I've continued to do some Willow and Tara artwork however. Your encouragement has prompted me to post a new piece. So, thanks. :)

It's a drawing from the Season 6 opening episode Bargaining when they are at the airport to wish Giles a safe journey. Enjoy.

Hi. I'm so glad to see you posting again. Now, I don't consider myself to be an expert on the fine art of pencil drawing but I have been doing it for a very long time and I do know a little bit it...so, if you don't mind, I'd like to offer a few bits of advice. :|

The first thing I'd say is that I really think you did a very good job of using all five values. I could definitely point to one place and say "ahh yes, that's the cast Shadow" and point to another and say "You definitely know where to place full light on the subjects. " so you obviously have an idea about light placement. Which is awesome, by the way. There was one thing however, that sort of took away from the realness of the piece. When I was looking at the drawing I could see definite pencil lines which gave the drawing a choppy and rough look. Pencil lines are okay if you're not going for that "real" look. or maybe it's just your style which is okay too. But if you wanted a more realistic look I would suggest that you (if you haven't already) go down to your local art supply store and pick up a couple Blending stumps or Tortillions (paper spiraled tightly together to form a tube with a pointed end.) You can achieve a smooth and even tone by placing your pencil lines very close together and then using your blending stump or tortillion to ease those lines together.

I would also suggest you add a few more values to their hair to sort of keep away from that flat toneless look. (of course, that is just my opinion and you can take it or leave it however you see fit)

I really liked the placement of their facial features. (which can be very hard to do sometimes. )

Overall, I thought it was a really well done piece and the only big thing I would say is to do a little more blending (unless of course you don't want to. It's really up to you.) Thank you so much for sharing and it's wonderful to see such a talented artist on the board. :x

Miss Kittys Ball of Yarn-

Thank you for the constructive comments. I will consider shading it a bit differently next time I do something. My style tends to vary depending on my mood. Sometimes, I go for the rough look here while other times I do a more smooth shading job. I like to go as realistic as possible most of the time, so I am taking you suggestion into consideration.

I am also trying to get to a point where I am satisfied where I have the lovely Ms. Benson's likeness correct, which I'm not quite satisfied with yet. I'm rather please now with the way that I can capture Willow. I just have to do some more work on capturing Amber's likeness. Once again, thank you for the very thought out comments. I appreciate the comments as they help me improve my craft. I will continue to post when I have a chance. As I mentioned, I am in college now and the work they are giving me is bordering on the ridiculous level in amount of time necessary to finish the projects. Hopefully, I will have some time soon to work on my own artwork.

Okay, Kittens. It's been a while since I posted a new piece of artwork. I just finished this the other day, and thought I'd share. A special thanks to Miss Kittys Ball O Yarn, who suggested that I try using a blending tool.

Enjoy.
