I like this thought of this complicated sex, where they are overwhelmed with feelings and desires that confuse Tara and confuse Willow. Tara doesn't know what's going on with Willow and Willow just can't quite come to terms with it all.

I have kind of been reformed. I am a hopless romantic, so I originally thought they first made love at the end of NMR, but himself has refuted that. As a matter of fact, I wish it was at the end of NMR because, then, there is nothing else holding them back. Now, I say between "WAY" and WTWTA. This is not a choice, so I picked during "WAY."



The "TIIT" is a little too soon.

The Rose, who cares what Whedon says outside the shown W/T moments. You know, writers can say anything they want in interviews (that aren't read by everyone who sees the episodes on TV), as long as it isn't shown clearly on the show itself, it is open to interpretation.

To be honest I have no idea although I don't think it was during TIIT.



I think something big happened between them during the episode but I don't think they had sex for the first time. Maybe they both revealed that they had feeling for one another or maybe Willow really, truly accepted that she was in love with Tara (or at least had non platonic feelings towards her).

Okay, I watched NMR for the first time in a long time(it hurts too much to watch this ep now), and I have changed my mind again. The look on Tara's face after Willow tells Tara "she is going to make it up to her" is one of anxiety and excitement which sort of tells me they have not been there before. Too bad I can't change my vote.

I took that look as Tara knowing that they were an official couple now. No more questions about Oz and Willow came out to Buffy. So they were out as a couple now, free to be themselves, and this of course would make anyone very excited, hence Tara's expression.



I know it's very romantic to think that the end of NMR was their first time, but to me, there's just no way they would have waited so long. They were way too hot for each other right from the start, and after what we saw in TIIT and WAY, there's just no way.

I doubt we ever will agree, I have changed my mind more times than I can count. I watched the Flaming O again last night and now I am leaning back to WAY again.

The last mosquito that bit me had to check into the Betty Ford Clinic.

Not to sound like I am jumping on the "after NMR" bandwagon, but it's pretty clear. I mean, look at there body language and facial expressions. Something BIG is going to happen. And, I doubt they are going to sit and talk about classes in the dark, =)

I don't know if you have read the fanfic : season 4, behind the scenes made by spikeme4now but I'm quite ok with this version

I think they had sex for the first ttime between where the wild things are and new moon rising

but I doesn't meen that they haven't touch themselves a little before that

but like this fanfic say maybe it's maybe just at the end of NMR that willow is able to say "I love you" to Tara and to make love to her

but that's just a supposition

Although Willow doesn't admit her love for Tara until NMR, I still go with The I in Team. Joss Whedon himself said that that was essentially just using magic as a metaphor for sex. Like that scene in OMWF *shuts mouth to stop the drool*...



SpikeMe4Now2004 really did show a good example of their relationship progressing, though. It's been too long since I've read it for me to say if I agree with it exactly or not, though.

I'd say it was at the end of NMR. Willow's relationship with Tara was one of mutual friendship (and attraction) until then. I may be that she didn't realize how she felt about Tara until Oz's return made her question where her heart lay. Plus that look both of them have at the end of the episode....

I dunno ... I couldn't say exactly when it DID happen, but I always felt they were - you know - before NMR. I think that's what was so complicated about Oz's return. There's also that line where Oz says to Tara she's got Willow's scent all over her. If they weren't already - you know - then they must've been pretty close to it by then.

Maybe it's just me, but I also felt Willow was a little more confident than I'd expect her to be for her first (lesbian) time. I always imagined it being something completely spontaneous, or something that Tara kind of took charge of.

But that's just me. If Joss announced tomorrow that Willow & Tara's first time was right after blowing out the extra-flamey candle in NMR, I wouldn't argue (even though he's a lying bastard - THIS time, he might actually be right).

Joss has been quoted in plenty of places that the Flaming O spell was W/Ts first sex scene, and that was in Who are You. I'm gonna have to go with the man who wrote the show. As much as I don't like it.

But at the top of the thread, they ask when did W/T do the Flaming O "for real?" One could perhaps ask "what is real?" ... but I am not philosophical enough, nor stoned enough, to debate that.
