A new poem! I like poetry, I like poetry! Dang, and I've been composing music all this time! So much time to make up! They're not really very good, I'll admit. But I like 'em! I'm gonna post this really quickly, since I've gotta practice for my basketball game. But this'll get up soon, I hope.
Warning: Has a hint of violence. But not huge. Maybe just PG-13 violence.
Poem #2: The Thirst. By: _Salix_
In a sunny desert I walk along a small path I've been in the desert for days Not another living soul for miles I thirst for water
I come across a lion He jumps at me, attacks me I pull out my knife; he runs into it Blood splatters onto my shirt I thirst for more blood
My knife in hand, I walk further And find a small kitten I put away my knife The kitten thirsts for love, I thirst for love.
The kitten walks beside me When I come across a young child All alone and hungry She looks at me with fear in her eyes She thirsts for comfort
We walk until we find a village It has everything we need It has a lake and a farm Hundreds of people are there Animals of every kind
The girl's face brightens up "Momma!" she cries I see her run up to a woman They shared tears of love and happiness Three small boys join the hug, crying and laughing
I see a well I ask if I can have some water They say yes I drink and drink Until I feel satisfied
A small lion is sitting in the corner I immediately feel compassion for it It has no mother, no father I can't imagine killing anything that innocent I promise never to kill anything again
One of the older children runs up to me He wraps his arms around me "Momma!" he says I hug him back, I recognize him He's my son, I lost him two years ago He loves me, and I love him
I see the young girl She is with her mother, Who is stroking her hair Whispering sweet words in her ear The girl is in the comfort of her mom's embrace
I should be happy My thirst for water is gone My thirst for blood is gone My thirst for love is gone Her thirst for comfort is gone
But now, I realize I miss my thirst for water And my thirst for blood And my thirst for love Because where's the fun in life When you have everything
END
I love it! You may not like it, but I love it! I think it's awesome! I...uh...this is embarrassing...I kinda feel like writing a...a love poem. *blush* cheesy, I know. But I haven't written one yet. What do you guys think? How did you like my fabulous poems?
Edit: Wow. I'm a 'Flaming O' now. Time sure does fly, doesn't it?

I have a fish named Drusilla. He doesn't know, he thinks his name is Drew. Shhhh...
Spike: Are we feeling better, then? Drusilla: I'm naming all the stars. Spike: You can't see the stars, love. That's the ceiling. Also it's day. Drusilla: I can see them. But I've named them all the same name, and there's terrible confusion.
