Deirdred1122- It happens because our kids do the same shit to us that we did to our parents, lol. It's engrained, maybe even genetic! We have no control and before we know it, things like, "Beacuse I said so and close the door, you're air conditioning the neighborhood," come flying out. And in our minds we're cringing because we can hear our mother's voice and realize she was right all along..."Someday I hope you have a kid just like you!!"

Shelby, my mother always threatened "Anything you put me through, your own kids will give you back 10 times over!" Round about the time I was 16 or so, she increased it to 20 times over--and that was before I came out to my folks! Yikes! Considering the two younger kids were adopted from the foster system, having been born FAS and drug-addicted, I have gotten that back in spades. Those mom curses never, EVER fail! Lol!
