I finally had a chance to catch up. I am glad I did. I love the way you write Willow and Tara, it is so much like them. I was having a less than great day, but the last two updates were so sweet and happy and they seeped into my head and changed my whole perspective. Steph, you are a great writer, this is phenomonal stuff here. Please keep it up. I really hope Tara and Willow have that "talk" soon. REAL SOON. *hint, hint* I love your work.

gmackie: wow. i am glad i made your day a little better, i'm flattered, i think you're lying, but am flattered none the less. they do talk soon. promise and i don't have any other stories online, i have no webspace and the only stories i have written are ones that have been forced upon me in english. and they mostly revolve around murder mysteries, or death, or zombies and rocket launcher showdowns in graveyards which involve old ladies who have big hair... oh, and old, hairy, stinky, mouldy, lumpy, wrinkly, crumbly, brown armchirs, but let's not go into that... i am, however, currently co-writing a fic with trish, which should be up on the board, soon. and i have plans for another, but that one's all dark and gloomy, if i ever get around to it. and WOW, i really rambled on for a very very long time about all sorts of crap already, heh heh, this will probably make my update look small!

Buffy knocked loudly on Giles’ door. She had class in an hour so they had scheduled the Scooby meeting to fit in with everyone’s plans. Unfortunately, this meant she was standing here, knocking on Giles’ door at eight thirty in the morning, and none of them had had anywhere near enough sleep last night. They had only gotten home five hours ago. Why the hell did I ever agree to this? Am I crazy? No – just sleep deprived. she grunted disapprovingly.



After a minute or two, the drowsy Watcher opened the door, but only enough to let the people standing on his doorstep in, he didn’t want to let the fresh, cool morning air into his apartment. He was tired, and therefore, cold. Why ever did I suggest meeting here at this hour? he grunted disapprovingly.



Buffy stepped past the disgruntled Watcher into the apartment and made a bee-line for the couch. Willow followed her in, gesturing for Tara to enter, also. The hacker still wasn’t 100% by any stretch of the imagination, but after an aspirin, and a night in Tara’s arms, she was feeling a little better. I’d probably be feeling a lot better if I had had more than four and a half hours sleep last night! she was just about to grunt disapprovingly, when she received an expectant, hopeful look from Tara, who had just taken a seat next to her. Willow smiled; whereas she and Buffy had sprawled themselves lazily across the couch, Tara had perched politely on the edge of her seat, looking nervous.



Willow took note.



As soon as Giles had shut the door and walked over to sit in a chair opposite from the girls, Willow decided that an introduction was in order.



“Giles? I’ve never really had the chance to introduce you to before now and you know what they say: ‘better late than never.’ This is Tara,” she gestured toward the shy blond, then turned to face her, “and this is Giles,” she gestured towards the Watcher.



“N-nice to meet you, again, Mr. Giles,” Tara managed.



“Call him Giles,” Willow instructed.



“I dare say she can call me Mr. Giles if she wants to, it is my name, after all, and she is a darn site politer than the rest of you,” Giles said, though not unkindly, to Willow.



Willow sniffed, indignantly, “Shouldn’t you be offering us tea?” she asked.



“I thought you young people today preferred coffee?” Giles asked, clearly having no intention to get up and actually make any tea.



“We do,” Willow stated, looking over to Buffy, who was currently half asleep on the couch next to her. Mmm, sleep. But then, waking up this morning wasn’t so bad, either… She fondly remembered Tara gently nudging her awake, so that they could extract themselves from each other before Buffy awoke and saw them snuggling.



“When are the others coming, so we can start this and go home to our comfy beds?” Willow asked, wanting nothing more than to go home to bed and snuggle up with Tara. They could talk later, after sleep was had.



“Xander should be arriving shortly. I just hope he doesn’t bring that devil-woman with him,” Giles answered, referring to Anya. No sooner was the sentence out of his mouth then the door burst open and a whining voice was heard chastising Xander.



“…because it certainly sounded fake. And I’ve faked enough to know when someone isn’t giving it their all! Damn it, Xander, you had better try harder, in fact, we should go home right now and make up for it…”



“Anya, please, do shut up,” Giles commented exasperated, in an attempt to silence the woman.



Xander closed the door behind him and dragged himself over to the group, slumping into an armchair.



Willow winced. Not something you want to be hearing first thing in the morning, she looked at Tara as if to say You see what I have to put up with?! And you ask why I don’t like her… The blond smirked back at her, finding the woman – Anya – to be rather amusing.



Anya marched over to the group, but didn’t sit down, choosing rather to stand against the wall with her arms folded and a dejected look on her face.



“Let’s get this done, so we can go home,” Buffy asked impatiently.



“Very well,” Giles replied, “So, Tara has explained to me that a demon attacked her and Willow last night and that it somehow altered Willow’s magic, causing her to ‘zap’,” he used the term he was given, “a tree, which then proceeded to hit her with a falling branch,”



Willow frowned at Tara, she had not been told this. This was quite alarming information.



Tara shrugged apologetically to her. I’ll make it up to her, someday…

I most certainly, am not lying. Some of my friends think I am a huge bs'er (slang for full-of-it, where I'm from), but I sincerely mean what I say about your story. I am also sure all the dreaded stories you've written for English are equally great. One thing I don't BS about is writing. Writing is religion to me, I love to write and I love to read, especially about Willow and Tara. You see, I am a bonafide writer, , shhh don't tell anyone, thats my little secret.
