A one-eyed vigilante with a dark past has vowed to change his ways, trading his machine gun for a yoga mat. But when he encounters a beautiful young mother (Benson) in deep trouble with a cannibalistic drug lord and his evil goons, he realizes that justice must be served. Teamed up with his smooth-talking Native American hipster sidekick, our hero rides into the badass brawl of the century.

Well, since Julie's sort of aging out of the "gorgeous single mom" type (plus she might have real-life children to keep her busy soon, the same two factors which took Mary Page Keller out of that niche-type 2 years ago) maybe Amber will move into the niche.

And the film is out on dvd in November, that's one xmas pressie sorted and she does a commentary on it YAY. Love the pic dr. lloyd, Amber looks a serious bad ass in it. Maybe now she'll get some better roles. :)

I for one certainly hope that a good Amber performance and a good critical reaction to Amber and the film in general will perhaps open some doors up to her again as it still amazes me that this incredibly talented actress can't get the parts her talent and decency as a human being justify. I guess she's just not willing to play the Hollywood game of getting ehr tits out and behaving like a biatch, which personally I think raises her so far above her contemparies for choosing not to be a behave like a reprobate.

Watched the teaser trailer and I'm kinda mixed about it. Whilst it certainly does live up to the shockingly violent (perhaps too shocking) tagline its mustered I saw nothing really in the teaser that lent itself to the tagline of comedy. Either I missed the point or the trailer doesnt sell it well enough. Still want to see it but my enthusiasm is a little muted.

The dance shown around the guy playing the tom-tom looked pretty silly but that seemed to be it. Though it could be they are trying to sell it more on the violence idea alone, they have said it's a grindhouse style film.

The trailer reminds me of the feel of Army of Darkness.

I get the same feel as you Deputy~

It makes me feel like I'm about to watch a classic in the making. I didn't notice a lot of dialogue and since I'm a big dialogue buff I really can't give a true opinion until I see it~

Still gonna see it. Amber's in it, of course I'm gonna see it.

I got to see this last night at Comikaze.

It's violent, fucked-up, and very, very funny. Seriously, the whole audience was laughing regularly. Particularly during the final battle at the end.

Right after the screening and Q&A, I went straight to Ward Roberts and told him (truthfully) that I couldn't decide if Dust Up or Cabin in the Woods was my favorite film from this year.

For what it's worth, I don't think I've ever met a celebrity so good at putting people at ease.

My son and I met the delightful Amber Benson tonight at the Boston premiere of "Dust up". Very very fun..
Sadly.in spite of my great technical knowledge..I managed to screw up the photo of him and her from sheer nervousness.
Micheal asked a good question about "the lizard man" and I got to show off my amazing nerd knowledge of "Buffy"..
