*Blinks* There is no daily thread! AAAH! Well, my Social Pych class not canceled today, so I am sitting here reading spoilage in the computer lab instead. Anyhoo, as for the Willow/Tara question: I can't think of one right now, because my brain is not here... I leave that to someone else.

Have a great day all!

Harô kittens *waves*

It has been a while since I've posted anything. And I've catch up to the spoilers...Gahh, today I'm stuck at home feeling a bit sick, rain and windy outside and lots of things to do. Hmm, a typical week. ^^
On a good note, I'm going to London!*yay* I've never been there, so I'm quite excited. Ah, since I'm at it... I was wondering if any of you fellow kittens knows of a good place where I can obtain buffy merchandise in London? *smiles*

Have a nice day!
*hugs*

Well it is the start of that Long Dark Tea Time of The Soul kitties.

We get a new "Buffy" tonight, but it is blackout for what, 4 or 5 weeks?

So here is a daily question.
What do Willow and Tara do when their favorite show goes into repeats?

Given the improving weather, I'd say they take any chance to get outside.

Other than that they could spend time reading some new fem-slash fics that Willow downloaded and then prineted out so they could read in bed. Maybe something to do with Torres and Seven-of-Nine from Voyager!

Actually looking nice today in Chicagoland. Got all my Guiness ready for the weekend.

Warlock.

Good morning!

Just stopping by for a little while before I go off on my mission into the desert. Let's hope I'm able to see something besides Joshua trees this time. If so, I'll have some interesting news to report later on.

Have a great day, everybody!

I don't know about Willow and Tara, but I spend the ep-dark taping the eps I messed up on earlier in the season and devouring fan fic like no tomorrow. And let's not forget the darlings of my life, my W/T sims. I made them a new house today, which they moved into with their son.

Today I'm off to the laundromat to apply for a job there. Everyone wish me luck so that I get it.

hey kittyko. I don't know of anywhere that is devoted to btvs (if anyone does I'd like to know too!) but a good place for TV/cult/scifi stuff is Forbidden Planet. its in New Oxford Street (nearest tube station is Tottenham Court Road, about a minutes walk away). don't forget to check the basement (the stairs are easy to miss, I'd been there loads of times before i realised they even had a downstairs!)

you can probably find buffy t shitrs in Oxford street and camden market.

happy shopping!

Good luck Bob! KittyKo, I would say forbidden planet is your best bet. And hey the British Museum is close(ish) to the shop so you could get some culture in your system while you're there.

Just completed some fun tutorials today, "Do families need fathers?", had quite a lot of feminists in the class today and they had some really well thought out responses. Can't wait to see the approach of my mostly male Thursday group.

And on to todays question. Repeats suck. Well not Buffy repeats, but ya know, in general. I think Tara and Willow would go paintballing. I don't know why I think this, it's just the first thing that popped into my head.

Have a good day kitties!

Morning kitties,

I’m in the morning afterglow of watching a very well done episode of Once and Again. And tonight is Buffy, yeah! I refuse to get gloomy about repeats just yet (more repeats prolong the season and mean less repeats this summer, or at least that’s my insane troll logic way of putting a positive spin on it all).

Anyway. I was surfing about and found this picture of Aly, Emma and “Clem.” Don’t know if it’s been posted before. But worth a look. Feast your eyes here.

Very cute.

(Well, sorry, this is indeed a repeat... But hey, it's worth another look).

Well, now that came out a lot more lesbian than it sounded in my head.

Happy Tuesday, Kitties!

Yes, its another new episode tonight but my evening will be uncomplete without my FX episodes. I hate movies on cable we've seen a hundred times. I'd much rather see an episode of Buffy I've already seen a hundred times. Well I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Hi everyone!
Thought i'd join in to the daily thread for once for a bit of light hearted fun due to the angst thats going on on the rest of the board!!!
Hmm i think that Will & Tara would probably spend their time looking for Miss Kitty Fantastico (who knows where she is maybe hatching an evil plan to takeover the world??!)
Maybe they would take little time out & go & have fun down at the bronze let off a bit of steam!!
Maybe then rush back home & have a bit of a cuddle & then maybe a few smoochies after that who knows !!

My feet are killing me. See, I've taken to walking a lot. So even when I was tempted to bugger it all and just go home, I still plodded the lonely streets.

Well, actually, they weren't lonely. They were pretty bloody busy. Cities. The same the world over.

Anyway, I'm slightly happy because I got one job done. Not so because another is on hold. And I still have some work to do. Bleh.

But I'm returning to the smut tomorrow, I think. Smut, with a touch of romance. Remember, if I don't include plot, that's more smut!

Heh.

Hmmm...I think Willow and Tara would take advantage of the nice weather, go to the park and lay back and look at the clouds or something. Tara would bring a book of love poems and they could read them out loud to each other before returning home to have wild, passionate...okay, been reading too much smut

Sorry you guys aren't feeling well, KittyKo and Anakin. *sends lots of healthy vibes*

Good luck on the job, kissystar!

It's not a new Buffy day for me, sadly to say. Lincoln doesn't get UPN, so my Buffy time is Sunday nights at 11pm, with bunny ears and a generally vey green tinted Willow and Tara. Oh, well at least there's the wildfeed to get me through

Have a great day everyone!

I found this on yahoo:

Lesbian Barbie film blocked by Mattel
Mon Mar 11, 8:04 PM ET
365Gay.com

SUMMARY: A film showing Barbie as a lesbian has been banned in Mexico.

MEXICO CITY -- A film showing Barbie as a lesbian has been banned in Mexico.

"Barbie Gets Sad Too" was due to be shown at Mexico City's Urban-Fest festival. But Mattel Inc., which makes Barbie, obtained a court order banning the film from being shown.

The company says the film is pornographic and will spoil the doll's wholesome image.

The film, which was made in Argentina, shows Barbie having a sexual relationship with her Latina servant, according to Mexico's Reforma newspaper.

Mattel's Mexico City lawyer, Pablo Vasquez Rohde, said: "This is a pornographic video, and the company does not find it acceptable. We don't know what has happened in other countries, but they won't be allowed to show it here."

But Jose Antonio Escalante, director of the Urban-Fest, says he is surprised at the company's reaction.

"This film has been shown as a work of art in Argentina and in Brazil, where it was even shown on TV without any scandal," he said. "I don't know why they are so bothered about it in Mexico."

Has anyone heard about the movie, Kissing Jessica Stein With Jennifer Westfeldt and Heather Juergensen? I just stumbled onto it today and it looks interesting. Curious if anyone else has heard anything about it.

quote:

KISSING JESSICA STEIN is a fresh take on the subject of sex and the single girl. When we first meet Jessica – a sensitive but neurotic New York journalist – she is at the end of her emotional rope. Her brother’s engaged, her best friend’s pregnant, she hasn’t dated in a year, and she can’t sleep.

After an optimistic but nightmarish dating spree, she happens upon an intriguing personal ad, whose only drawback is that it’s in the ‘women seeking women’ section. On a daring whim, she decides to answer it. She meets funky downtown hipster Helen Cooper for drinks and, to her surprise, they click instantly. Their evening of banter, connection and heated debate culminates in a kiss that confounds and intrigues even the reluctant Jessica.

With conventional gender roles absent, the two women proceed to muddle through an earnest, but hilarious courtship, making up the rules as they go along. KISSING JESSICA STEIN is a modern romantic comedy that breaks all the rules -- it blurs the lines between friendship and romantic love, and finds the funny, surprising and ultimately poignant overlap between the two.

Guinness. Two "n"s. You wanna get them both in there, why have less Guinness than you possibly could?

Guinness is lovely, but have you had Beamish? My favorite stout. Hard to find in the US.

I had a dream last night that I was in Ireland, and I was all excited because I could go into a pub and find some Irish other than Jameson. Not that I dislike Jameson, just there are better brands of Irish, you know?

Oh, no. Oh, dear Lord No. Oh, dear, dear, dear ... Nope. Guinness. Now that's a bad memory. Bad, bad, evil, skanky hangover. Had a whole orgy of scabby hobbits playing merry hell with my head for two whole days. The whiskey didn't help, either. So, no: No more Guinness for me. Anyway, 6X is so much nicer (that's bitter, for all you non-hoppy-brew-types)

Had a funny old day. Lots of people having a bad time of it, all around me, and me not really able to do anything to make it better. And I so want to make it better, you know? So, I'm gonna work on some big positive vibes to send to everyone - I'll save some for everyone here, too. Plenty for everyone!

And repeats? Repeats are there to get distracted to, aren't they? Repeats will give Willow an opportunity to get naked, and clamber on the bed in the way of Tara's view of the TV, fix her with those green eyes of hers, and demand:

"Me. They're only repeats. So, me-time, now."

Have a good day, kitties.

Luke.

Happy Tuesday everyone (though for me, somehow wednesday has already made its appearance)!

Anyway Thanatopsis, I've seen the trailer for Kissing Jessica Stein and it looks really cute. I read that the two main actresses actually wrote and made the movie themselves. I'd really like to see it, maybe it'll make it's way over to Korea soon.

5 minutes till my next class. I love my new first year students! They're so excited about learning English. My second years are already jaded. One of my first year girls just came up to my desk and introduced herself, told me her name and everything. That never happens. Now I have to remember her name though (I have about 750 students, sometimes names are a little tricky).

What to do while there are repeats? It's Spring! Go outside! Find a tree to sit under! I think Willow and Tara would pack a wonderful picnic basket and go have a picnic in the woods. Just the two of them and any early ants.

I’m very curious about this film. From what I’ve read, it seems smart and funny. Not just the “lesbian kiss of the week” (think Ally McBeal, think Party of Five) sort of thing. The woman who plays Jessica Stein was on the TV show “Two Girls A Guy and Pizza Place.” But don’t hold that against her. The actresses wrote and acted it together first as an off-off Broadway piece.

Anyway, two reviews to share:

One from the LA Times.
One from PlanetOut.

Enjoy.

I was flipping channels and finally landed on the WB. I saw a commercial for some new show called 'My Guide To Becoming A Rock Star'. And you know, I think one of the dudes in this new series is the guy who played Tara's brother, Donnie. I couldn't tell at first until I saw the "full and manly beard".

And that's my exciting news for the day.
