I know Amber isn't a total regular but would this mean her to? Alyson seems to love the relationship with Amber. It would mean alot if I heard Amber was under contract for two more years.
Personally by the way Joss talks, Willow and Tara may have problems next season but they will always be together. True Love!

Alyson: Well, luckily my career is not based on my body. B-O-D-Y (not bawdy). I play the very quirky sidekicks, the off-beat characters. I'm not the "boobs" in the movie.
How great of Alyson to be accepting of herself and eager to play to her own strengths rather than going out and getting "chicken breasts with nipples" that she couldn't take out and throw against the wall. I'm not sure how many young actresses there are in Hollywood who would make the same choice.
quote:I totally agree with you Bob, I love how Aly didn't go the way of "silicone" as much as I respect her, the fact that she didn’t do that makes me respect her even more.

anyway, i was waiting for the ER reruns (ehhhh) to begin when this special on AP2 came on on national tv. it was definitely Aly-centralized, they didn't mention she is in BtVS - basically because it airs on another channel, methinks -, but they were very nice (for a change) and said something along the lines of "how cliche is the idea of an 'American Pie' sequel? but look out for the hilarious Alyson Hannigan playing Michelle- she's definitely worth the theater ticket"
we're slowly getting there...

As far as I can tell, they don't even bother to take their clothes off -- it's just two women sitting around Utopia, being gay.
Michele, your comment about sleeping positions is why I made that comment in the AP II thread.

Aly On the cover of US Weekly (sorta)
Once again, sorry if this has been posted before, but the August 27 issue of US Weekly has a pic of Aly on the cover up at the top with the headline: The Hottest piece of American Pie 2- Meet the Geek Goddess Alyson Hannigan.
Inside there's a two-page story all about her and her status as a "sex symbol". It also has a large, cute photo of her getting out of a limo.
Interestingly, the article talks about her appearance on Howard Stern, and how she'd like to go back on for a one-on-one shot. She says that she feels that she was too passive on the show, and that she'd like to see if she could handle him by herself. Way to go her!
Oh, and I know someone asked this question a few weeks ago... and the answer is yes, she is an only child.
Its a great article, pick it up if you can.
There's also a quote from her on page 20 regarding the AP2 premiere.
There was no pic but I checked around and I was able to find this small one...
So needless to say, as soon as anyone can get this, transcribe the article and scan tha pics, it would be much appreciated [This message has been edited by Warduke (edited August 16, 2001).]

Talking about losing her virginity! Alyson Hannigan will, if you like
By Thelma Adams
In the midst of her greatest career triumph - American Pie 2, a movie she steals, took in $45 million in its opening weekend - Alyson Hannigan, 27, is talking about her toughest stretch as a young woman. A little something she calls high school. She was already a working actor, having played Dan Akroyd's daughter in 1988's forgettable My Stepmother Is an Alien when she was 14 and then starred in the ill fated supernatural series Free Spirit the following year. Yet partly because of other people's jealousy and partly because of her funky tastes, Hannigan was, she says "a drama outcast" at North Hollywood High. " I had two friends and that was it."
She spent her senior year lunching in the drama room and listening to grunge rock. "Nirvana was definately what I needed in High school," she says. She also experimented with sex. "I lost my virginity at 17," she says. "It was nice as it could possibly be - akward but nice. He was just a guy, a boyfriend, and we did it at his place in the Valley."
Right now, Hannigan is finding it hard to avoid the subject of sex. The actor plays a gay witch named Willow on UPN's Buffy. Her American Pie character, Michelle, the flute playing band geek, is, she says, willing and eager to try everything - and probably has. And eventhough Hannigan is neither wildly voluptuous nor a typical Hollywood glamourpuss, Britain's FHM mag recently placed her tenth on a list of the world's 100 sexitest women.
Howard Stern was especially curious about Hanngian when she and Tara Ried and Natasha Lyonne appeared on his show on Aug 9 to promote their movie. Shockingly, the radio host homed in on Hannigan's girl-kissing exploits on Buffy: Was she in fact a lesbian? "I don't think of that as a lesbian experience," Hanngian told Stern. She credits Buffy's producers with handling the character's Homosexuality with "class and grace" and describes Willow's on-screen relationship with Amber Benson's Tara as "all about two women really in love. It's a relationship, not girl-on-girl action."
In case you're wondering, that's a "no" to the lesbian question. Although Hanngian's wild deeds in American Pie 2 include inserting a trumpet in co-star Jason Bigg's backside, she sees herself as a fairly mainstrem in the matters of sex. "I have a sense of that spirit inside me but not as extreme as Michelle," she says. "I'm a relationship gal. I have no problem exploring everything but it has to be with someone I love."
The man in Hannigan's life is Alexis Denisof, 35, her tall dark-haired former Buffy co-star, who has since joined David Boreanaz on the WB's vampire spinoff, Angel. Hannigan says she prefers to date older men. "I don't know if that's because of the whole Daddy syndrome - I tend to think it's because they're much more mature and have their s*** together."
One reason she takes relationships so seriously, Hannigan says, is because her parents never seemed right. She was born a block from the White House on March 24, 1947, to Emile Posner, a real-estate agent, and Albert Hannigan, a truck driver, a couple, she says, who had little in common outside of a love for photography. "I couldn't picture my parent together." she says. "They are completely opposite people." Indeed, they were divorced before she was 2, and Hannigan an only child, was soon living in Atlanta with her mother and visting her father in D.C. on weekends. Often, she says, she felt lonely "I had an imaginary sister named Jenny. She was a brat."
As a baby, Hannigan modeled for her parents and at age 4 got her first commerical, for Duncan Hines cookie mix. Acting was primarily a hobby: "I would have that and soccer practice, and I loved them both," she says. Then, when she was 11, her father moved to Santa Barbara, California, and Hannigan audition for a handfull of agents while visiting him. "My mom was bored with Atlanta, so we moved out to LA.," she says.
Hanngan appeared. in episodes of Picket Fences, Rosanne and Touched by a Angel, as well as a string of TV movies, until catching a break in 1997, when she was cast as Willow on Buffy, to which she is commited for the next two years. In the meantime, spirited girl that she is, Hannigan would like another chance with Stern - this time one-on-one. She feels she was too passive on the show compared to Lyonne and Reid. "I'd like to see if I could handle myself."she says.

I fail to see any logical connection between those two sentences. Oh wait, that's right--gay people are defined solely by the fact that they engage in sexual activity with others of the same gender, and in fact that is all they ever do. They have no lives outside of the bedroom. They don't have careers, they don't have families, they don't go grocery shopping or take aerobics classes or tell stupid jokes, and they certainly don't fall in love. Nope, being gay has nothing to do with love whatsoever, it's just all about the sex. Can you imagine if those lines read, "Right now, Hannigan is finding it hard to avoid the subject of sex. The actor plays a straight witch named Willow on UPN's Buffy." You'd be like, WTF?
And indeed I am. It's the subtle forms of bigotry that are the most pernicious.

Geek Goddess
