Great update, loved the adorable cuteness (hmmm, is that a double positive?) and Willow's whole "two plus two" line of thought.

Jessie? Can I have some more story, please?

I feel the need for some warm-fuzzies right now. Of course, they'll probably make me cry because of my distinct lack of warm-fuzzies. But...*sigh* Please....give me some story to make me feel better. Or I'll be forced to write bad, depressing poetry.

*sigh* again.

I need a shower. Maybe I can wash off some of these bad vibes from last night.

Oh, loving the story. You know that.

More soon?

JD! You are a genius at romantic fic.

I just read your updates. Pure genius. The theme of planes is still much visible. I'm loving every bit of it. Check your email soon. A little preview in store for ya! Not that impressive but...

My favourite part of part 6 is the part where Tara is alone on the floor quietly crying. Some how I'm imagining something like how Willow found Tara in the S5 finale. Sweeet! Oh...the little angst you promised... heh heh..really small and patched up easily with a plaster! :grin

Of part 7a and b.... I love it all! .. Especially Tara doing little unexpected stuff like singing along the song with explicit lyrics.

And Willow babble?! that got me off my chair...Tara stopping the babble seem so right too. And their first kiss...sigh..

On the whole? Well done! I'm really really looking forward to the next parts. Oooo..... romantic fics....

what a wonderful fic to stumble upon while checking the boards during study hall. However, I think I might have to only check this board at home from now on. The librarian probably doesn't appreciate the drool.

Paper Airplanes feedback

Postby Rosenberg » Fri May 24, 2002 9:02 am

I just found this fic yesterday as I was browsing, and I couldn’t stop reading it. I REALLY like it. I need all the warm fuzzies I can get right now, and this is providing it. It’s beautifully romantic and it flows smoothly making it very easy to read.

“Maybe it was a Tara-shaped void that Oz was filling” was a line I especially liked. “I need … well, you. I need that look in your eyes when I pull you out of sleep with a surprise visit in the morning. I need the special giggle you reserve for me when I babble. I need your sly half-smile. I need the stories you tell me in your hushed tone when I'm upset. I just need you.” *Sigh*

Tara’s special present to Willow was perfect and was exactly something I could see Tara doing.

Tara finding the love letters in Willow’s jacket brought tears to my eyes. Was that intentional on Willow’s part, or was it accidental? I thought Anya’s observations on the nature of the W/T relationship were cute, not to mention accurate. “Yeah, spells…right.” Heh.

I liked the way you handled the rather awkward, tentative first kiss between them. That was sweet and very well done.

Tara and Willow alone in a cabin with just one bed. I can’t wait for the next update to see how that works out. I really want to see more of this story. Please keep writing!

Oh, by the way, I was glad Willow and her parents changed their itinerary, but I did feel bad for the people who were on the plane that crashed.

Not an update .. yet

Postby jdcioffi » Fri May 24, 2002 10:01 am

Here's the poop, kittens ... with the three day weekend coming up, today is my last day to post anything until Tuesday. So, I will post Part 8 before I leave work today (and after I get some revisions done) and then work diligently on Part 9 over the holiday weekend. Tuesday will bring Part 9 ... and who knows, maybe more.

Now, to the task at hand. Thank you!:

AmberBensonRockzMyWorld: I adore your name.

kendahl897, ExtraFlameyWT, Unrealistic Expectations, Karzia, TheRose24, LeatherQueen, DallieZeb, pikescoob, kukalaka: Thank you all for feeding my ego ... and giving me the confidence to keep working on this leetle fic. Your compliments mean so much ...

Scout: Yes, Willow's parents actually did something right ... in a Forest Gump kinda way. I might bring them back into the story, but I don't know. Do you think they even noticed the plane crashed? Prolly not, well, not all the way in Amerstrdam. :rolleyes

Sassette: Uhm, heh heh. Thanks :blush ... Sometimes I think you and Ruth like to give me feedback just so I blush ... heh heh.

lipkandy: I'll keep posting updates just to keep you posting! Glad another kitten has joined the ranks and has stepped up to be counted. :grin

Mix: And yes, Willow's note was just that ... a way to admit to herself how she feels about Tara. It just so happens that she forgot they were in her pccket ... and no, it wasn't intentional. I don't know that Willow was at a point, at least in this here story, to be able to tell Tara how she feels first. Reciprocating the sentiment, sure! But being the first? I dunno about that.

Mollygig: I'm glad you like Anya, because she will figure prominently in one of the final chapters.

Thanatopsis: I'm glad you liked the "2+2" stuff ... I wasn't sure it would go over well, or fit the fic. I had my heart on keeping it in tho ... so, in it stayed!

Divine Princess Fuchsia: I think my favorite part of the fic (that's already written) is Tara's scene with her mom. I've always wondered about their relationship ... and how Tara was when she was a kid. I loved writing it ... and even like goingback and reading it. D -->>D

xita: Oh great list moderator ... don't fear, Tara will tell all ... later. :sh It's a secret.

kpmuse: There's only one thing better than a fireplace ... a fireplace and snuggles. :)

fidds: I liked "shim" too .. unfortunately, it doesn't come up often enough in conversations. :lol

Baby June: Okay, I was reading a fic the other day and was told that drool is not, in fact, good for keyboards. I didn't know that. So, be kind to your keyboard ... but keep reading ;) (And it was drool-worthy? Wow!)

mtnlaurel: If I could stop reading your fic long enough to write, we would be in good shape. Dude! Your fic rocks ... and the whole cabin kissage? Well ... what can I say ... great minds, do in fact, think alike. So .. more Contenment kissage soon? *hint hint*

Rosenberg: I had to give you feedback on your feedback. That was so awesome how you pulled stuff out and ... it was cool, like it made an impression. You, my fearless kitten, rock.

thehighpriestess: I earned a jaw drop? Lil ole me? :jaw

Shinnen: I bow before your illustrative glory ... dude, just one pic of Tara in cargos was all it took ... I'm typing away! More for you, and my fellow kittens soon. Promise.

Kerry: My dear, you certainly are da bomb if ever there was one. Neither I nor my g/f will beat anyone up for you, but I sure will try to write as fast as I can ... for you, my dear beta (and friend). I should edit Part 1 so the headings have a better 'thank you' because you certainly deserve it.

All kittens: Yes, Kerrison is my beta/editor gal. If you are enjoying this fic .. you have her to thank. I must have quit nearly 23 times per chapter ... and it was Ker that told me to keep going. She brought it back from the dead so many times, you'd think it was a slayer. So, while I love the feedback, Ker really deserves much of these compliments.

Dude, you kittens rule. Update this afternoon!

Part 8

Postby jdcioffi » Fri May 24, 2002 3:25 pm

My kittens, let me apologize in advance. This is a very short part, I know. This stoopid holiday weekend has created a mess of work that needs to be done now. This will be the shortest update I will post. I tend to run a bit lengthy, as you might have noticed. :lol

This is my no-dialogue post ... hope it is up to par.

So, I give to you, part 8. It's tiny, but I hope you like it.

**Part 8**

The sun shone brightly through the trees, throwing strands of light onto the hiking trail. Leaves danced overhead, as the wind rushed over knotted branches. A few impetuous wildflowers nodded from their spots on the trail to their friends, freshly sprouting under the brush. The only sound was the crunch of leaves as two pairs of hiking boots ground them into the earth.

A small smile spread across Tara’s face as Willow swung their interwoven hands back and forth. She half expected Willow to be grumpy this morning. Although Willow seemed happy with their talk the evening before, she also knew that being awakened at 7:00 in the morning on a vacation day was something the redhead did not appreciate. She stifled a giggle as she thought back to just an hour earlier when she awoke on the picnic blanket next to Willow, who was sleeping and mumbling something about espressos and saddle sores.

From the corner of her eye, Tara allowed herself to watch her companion. Willow had been relatively silent since the two had left the cabin. She spoke only to mutter something about a species of flower or make an interested “hm” sound when looking at something.

She’s worried about something, Tara thought. Silence and Willow don’t make sense. Silence scares her, she analyzed. Unless she doesn’t want to talk because something is scaring her more than silence does. The blonde sighed, sure that she was causing Willow anxiety.

Maybe she isn’t ready for this. Tara stole a glance at Willow, who had occupied herself with a game of kick the rock. She’s never had a girlfriend before.

Is that what I am? We never talked about that.
Tara’s brows furrowed as her brain mulled over the situation.

Willow noticed Tara’s pace change and quickly matched the blonde’s slowing strides. With a quick smile and a squeeze of Tara’s hand, Willow’s eyes returned to the sights around her.

We never talked about a lot of things, Tara realized. What will she tell her friends? Maybe she won’t tell them anything. Maybe she just wants to play house up here, and then when we go back, we go back to being Willow and Tara, Wicca friends.

While Tara tried to figure out her place in Willow’s life, the redhead engaged herself in small tasks such as touching the soft petals of a flower and trying to kick the same rock all the way up the trail.

Oh, this one feels like Taralips, Willow thought as she ran her finger over a small petal. She allowed her elfish smile to appear as she glanced over at the blonde. Green eyes traced Tara’s features, settling on her mouth. Definitely, Taralips.

The redhead inwardly sighed as her thoughts returned to the prior night’s events. Details blurred into each other as her mind rushed to their first kiss – her first kiss with a girl. Willow’s scientific mind began investigating the data bouncing around haphazardly in her brain.

Taralips are soft, not at all like Ozlips. They are full and fleshy, which is totally different than Xanderlips, she analyzed. And to think I didn’t even know lips were supposed to be soft, Willow thought, breathing a quiet chuckle and earning a glance from the blonde.

And falling asleep with her next to me … wow. Not as wow as her waking me up, but still … wow. She really is amazing, the redhead reflected with a sigh.

She’s amazing and she’s mine. Mine, as in my girlfriend. Not just a friendly girl, although she is very friendly, but a girl-friend. A love-type kissing partner girl-friend. A falling-asleep-next-to-in-the-same-bed girlfriend. A lover girfriend, even! Auburn brows furrowed over dark green eyes as the implications of her last thought echoed throughout her entire being.

Lover as in making love-type lover, as in fumbling-Willow-doesn’t-know-what-to-do-fiasco.

Tara felt the redhead stiffen and sighed. I wish I knew what was going on in that head of hers.

I loved Willow's thoughts.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Willow: Hi, um Tara. I was wondering maybe you want to go out some time for coffee? food? Kisses and gay love?
