We took a family bike ride to the Target today. It's about 5 miles each way. Unfortunately, my back tire went flat on the way there. And I had both kids in the trailer. About 1/2 way Chiara got out of the trailer and got onto Rachel's bike. That was slightly easier. At Target we bought a pump but still didn't get my tire that full. Rachel took the kids in the trailer for the first 1.5 miles or so and then I took it back because she was like dying.

Very hard. I don't remember the exact stats. I think av 159 and 155 hrs and 400+ calories each way.

I rode again yesterday but really just to do errands. I got both tires aired up enough but wouldn't take Asher (even though he wanted to go). It was 97 or 98 degrees out and if I had taken him, I just wouldn't have gone. So I rode to the post office, then the bookstore, then home. I don't know. It was probably 45 minutes and maybe 7 miles. I didn't track stats cause you can't on and off my watch.

Went all the way to soccer practice last night, only to have just three others turn up. So no training. Was a bit annoyed. Went home and did a cardio work out instead.

Biked the 15kms to work this morning, am going to a yoga class at lunch today and have got an arms, shoulders and abs workout tonight. It's going to be a busy day!

Took the day off MOnday. Tuesday - ellipticaled only 46 minutes because I manged to forget to take my work clothes to the gym so I worked out and then came back home. Went 3.8 miles and don't remember the steps. Today did 60 minutes on the elliptical for 7600 steps and 5.12 miles. Last night I did week 1, day 2 of push-ups which were sets of 10, 12, 8, 8 and a max which I did 16.

Went to Body Pump this morning. Also walked to and from lunch (92 out). Also did my push-ups for 100 push ups last night. Tonight need to do my crunches if I can stay awake.

So tired...

After a few days off, I hit the gym again today. I did the wave machine for 35 minutes which was 11.90 miles. Then elliptical for 30 minutes which was 2.41 miles. I'm not sure my workout schedule the rest of the week as I'm off work to play with the kids and such but not sure our plans. My son is sick and lying on the couch so it depends on how he feels and what we get up to. I'll probably still try to hit my 5:00 am workouts so they don't interfere with the day.

Well I did an unintentional work out tonight. I walked home from work as I missed my last bus and didn't want to fork out for a taxi as I would have cost me £15!

So I ended up walking about 8 miles... I got home at 1:18am, so it took me about 2 hours. Flipping shattered now!
Be safe. Be happy. XxXxXx

Yours - Wow. I'm not sure I would consider 8 miles worth... Oh wait. 8 pounds. I wonder what that is in dollars. I guess that depends. Still, good walk.

Nue - excellent. Please post here periodically.

I ellipticaled today. My week has not been as much working out because my son is sick. Not much sleep. He's feeling better though. Anyway, 60 minutes 7400 steps. 5.07 miles.

Well, I worked out today with no water bottle because my bottle is in my car which is in the shop. That definitely hampered the workout.

So I did 2 X 20 minutes sessions on the stair machine total was 198 flights,4.10 miles.

Then 20 on the elliptical for 2500 steps (distance was broken)>

Yesterday: 15 minutes on the wave machine and then 45 on the elliptical. I think 3.71 miles and 3.76 miles respectively.

Today 60 on the elliptical. 7100 steps. 4.96 miles.

Well, uhm... I'm not allowed to do that much yet, but thought I'd post anyway :D

I've been on the bicycle ergometer every day for 3 1/2 weeks now for about 20 minutes each session. Can't go really fast, because the mobility of my knee is still limited, but I do my best.
I've also done the elliptical almost every day since then, going 500 steps in 10 minutes on 40W...

Kessari - That all sounds great and you're so very committed that it will really help your recovery. Thanks for posting.

Yesterday I ellipticaled for an hour with my friend in the morning. 7500 steps? 4.86 miles? I got my HRM back in the mail yesterday. I skipped working out today because of a terrible headache and mild sore throat. Hopefully I can go tomorrow.

This weekend we did some hiking while camping but nothing to write home (or here) about. This morning I woke up with a sore throat again. So I've done no workout today but I have done the following:

Annual exam with urine test, blood draw, ekg, pap smear, and bone density. Made an appointment for a mamogram. Left a message to schedule a colonoscopy and gone to the dentist for a teeth cleaning.

Wednesday I went to bodyPump class again. I'm not as sore as last time but I need to go more consistently to see some results and stop being as sore.
Thursday I did wave machine for 16 minutes - 3.86 miles or something like that then elliptical for 44 minutes 5300 steps, 3.5 miles.
I got back my HRM in the mail and need to program it again.

Saturday we went for a hike as a family. It wasn't fast but it was fun.
Sunday we tried to take a family bike ride but had problems with the trailer so Ash & I went for a walk/run. I wish he would run faster rather than talk. It was 3 miles.
Yesterday - wave machine 15 minutes 3.73 miles elliptical 45 minutes 5400 steps 3.72 miles? Low calories.

Alcy - that's a crazy day. Wow.

I actually went shorter today. My cousin sent me an HIIT workout so I did it on the stair machine. Went 25 minutes (5 was warm-down) which was 2.88 miles. 130 or something flights. Then I did stretching and abs. I plan to go tomorrow but am not sure what I'm going to do.

Hmmm, crazy day yes, but it's actually a pretty normal day!

Today was the same minus the cycling, so an hour a half of yoga and an hour long kenpo (martial arts) work out.

A fairly light weekend in terms of exercise, I did two hours of kenpo on Saturday. Sunday was supposed to be my rest day but I don't believe in resting! Did an hour of plyometrics and walked the dogs for 45 mins - I would have gone longer but Mr Puggles did a big runny poop and left half of it on his bum...just felt like sharing that!

Didn't bike in to work today as it's pissing down but will be a fairly busy day anyway. An hour and 15mins of yoga, indoor soccer and an hour long weights work out tonight...I can't remember what's on the schedule, I think it's back and biceps. Topping it all off is my 15 min ab work out.

Alcy - Wow. You make me feel like such a slacker. You go!

Me - Friday more of that HIIT thing with the stair machine. Don't remember distance, etc. but it was incredibly hard and intense. Then I stretched and did abs.

Then we went camping so ... unloading, setting up, hiked a short while, and walked me or the kids or dogs to go to the bathroom about 3000 times. Saturday we took a pretty good hike (or as good as you can with a 5 and 1 year old although my wife carried the baby a good part of the way). Then swimming (again, lots of floating and treading water) then another 3000 trips to the various bathrooms, bushes, and trees. Sunday - breaking down camp and a short hike and home and 5 loads of laundry. It's not exactly P90X but it seemed active.

I met up with a friend at the gym with no stair machine. But she agreed to try the HIIT workout and we used the wave machine. I couldn't get my HR as high but it was good. 22 minutes. 6.39 miles. 155 av hr (182 high) and 190 cal. Then we did stretches and abs.

Again did HIIT on the Wave machine. It's still hard to get it to a high enough HR but I did 10K in 22 minutes at av hr. 145. My friend stood me up or I would have gone to the gym with the stair machine. That's my plan tomorrow.

I have finished the first round of P90X, all 12 weeks of it and am just entering my last recovery week. I should have really taken before and after photos or something but I can tell it's done wonders. The only casulty out of this are my favourite pair of shorts...which no longer fit.

So a recovery week this week, which mostly consists of light cardio and yoga. Next week I'll start my second round. I'm going to do the full version this time, which means three days of weights a week instead of two.

Bring it on!

Alcy - that sounds awesome.

I'm still really lagging these days. I've just been unusually tired. Friday and today I did my HIIT on the stairs so both days were 22 minutes, around 2.5+ miles and 120+ flights. Then stretching and abs. But I missed Saturday and then Sunday planned a family hike and it rained. Boo hiss. I'm planning a regular long elliptical session tomorrow, HIIT Thursday and then we're going to the in-laws for the weekend.
