I also love take-charge, protective Tara (hell, who doesn't???), but I'd like to see Willow doing something, taking charge for once. I mean, it's surely very hard for her to see her soulmate go fight for both of them all the time. Or, at least, most of the time. I think it's not very healthy to Willow to be so passive... you know, with all the "plain-Willow vs. bad-ass-witch-Willow" problems she had...



Besides the fact that, goddess, poor Tara! She can never get some rest! It's one thing after the other...



Don't mind me, I'm more talking to myself here.



As it's been from the very beginning, I'm loving every single word of this, and you know I ran out of adjectives around ch. 15 or 16, I guess. And I don't think you'd like if I started using a few in Portuguese anyway.

I agree with Sheila WT......I think Willow's being bottled up everytime someone comes to fight is going to be counter productive to her mind state. I realize she may have "grown up", but insecurities always stay with you. She needs to face them, the Scoobies need to let her face her challenges. Don't get me wrong, I love Tara taking charge and being all protective. But she can't fight Willow's battles for her, just like Willow can't fight Tara's. I love this story so please don't think I am trying to be a downer and saying it is bad. I just would like to see Willow be a little more dominant (not in a dominatrix way......well not much anyway) but in her ability to face her challenges also. I hope that makes sense.

Sometimes I think of them doing spells and I have a spell by myself.

Oooo... after the long awaited moment... the WHOLE chapter 38! It's really good. Got me holding my breath with Tara.



But my absolute favourite part is this:



"Of course," Brent said with a snicker. "We don’t live in the dark ages. Our practices are founded in the ancient techniques. All of our rituals have remained unchanged for tens of thousands of years, but you don’t expect us to keep cooking over an open flame or wash our clothes at the river by beating them on rocks do you?"



I don't want to be shallow. But everyone has their favourite parts of each chapter and this particular part made me sneaker... and it's so difficult not to burst out laughing when my grandparents are giving me dirty looks for being on the computer day in day out. Suddenly laughing to myself will only confirm their suspicion of me being nuts. Oh... I loved the 'smirking' dialogue.

And with the whole - died twice already Buffy could still be alive and kicking - so - you know - no harm, no foul, no dead scoobies!

I love the idea as Brianna as the Imbolc Mage. I know, the whole "destiny" thing sucks, but the possibilities of Willow and Tara dealing with the guard, not to mention their precocious. The mind revels in such senerios, well at least mine does.

WOW! Brianna as the Imbolc Mage is just TOTALLY BRILLIANT! What a twist. I totally didn't expect that although a couple of mittens got it before you even posted this update. But then I understand Willow and Tara's concern over Brianna's destiny and what it could possibly mean to her.



Also, I have to agree with the observation of the others, Kick-Ass Tara is cool but it's high time that Willow gets to kick some asses too, particularly Amy's. Willow's insecurity issues must be addressed too.

Well Lisa, now I'm wondering did you have in mind where the whole story was heading to when you started writing the first chapters? Or did the developement came up during writing the chapters?

Quite simply, you are one of the BEST W/T fanfic writers I have ever seen.

I've seen a lot, I've even tried to be one. But you really take the cake. Not only do you write W/T so well, but you write the whole cast with just as much skill.

I can't wait for the next part of the story. It's just incredible.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that the next update is going to be at least a few more days. I am really busy with school and a bit under the weather. I've been trying to get more rest, and well, I usually steal time for writing from my sleep hours. I will try to hurry.

Thanks again for all the kind words.



Oh, and for those who have asked... Tara will address Buffy's feelings. I left it in the air on purpose. I too think secrets are bad. Also, the story was completely plotted before I started. I had the "Brianna is the Imbolc mage scenes" planned since day one. Same with the challenge stuff. I try to plot all my stuff before I begin writing it, otherwise, it makes foreshadowing impossible without Miss Cleo's intervention! ;-)
