I first heard of this film a few months ago when I was on the Power Up website. I was psyched when I heard Clea Duvall was going to be in it and that Jamie Babbit was directing it.
There was a chance on the site to be able to be apart of the film and my cousin was going to apply for the apprenticeship but cancelled cause she thought she'd be too busy... I bet she's kicking herself now.
Anyways I sort of forgot this film existed till i went on Imdb today and saw Amber was in it!!! Also woah never have I seen so many people in a cast who I really recognize. Not hugely surprised at Jimmi Simpson, Melanie Lynskey or Tammy Lyn Michaels as they have all at one point been in films funded by power up but the fact that we also have people from the L word and Popular... WOAH!!! This has totally made my day! Can't wait to see it!

Um, I,m not so sure that Amber is actually in this movie. Over on Essence, someone with a friend in the film posted to note that she was unaware of Amber being in the film, and when you look at the website, the pics it shows features all the actors, and a bunch of pics from the filming, and Amber is not in any of them. And Shiai's recent interview with Amber had no mention of this film, and that was just a week or so ago.

I didn't check out the pics but I scanned the names mentioned on pg 1, in the body and on the right margin, and didn't see an Amber mnetion.

Yeah even if Amber's not in it, it still looks funny. However Ambers name has only just been added and the date on the site is just over a month old so maybe she has only just been written in or maybe she has a small part so hasnt gone to shoot her part yet... Who knows anything can happen in film...

Yep, wqill look out for the film. As a straight male I was happy to see that But I'm A Cheerleader Crossed over and made it's points to a mainstream audience rather than merely preaching to the converted (so to speak, LOL).

Jamie Babbit is a good filmmaker and it will be interesting to see where this film will take itself in terms of story.

Pity that Amber is not in it, but who knows: Maybe she will be in the next one!
