So, like two years ago I started to write fic, then i stopped. Now I have been sucked back into reading them, and now I have decided to re-write that fic i started. My name here used to be When You Were Mine, and the fic title is the same as it is now.. this time it's going to be slightly different.

Summary: Just an AU fic, the gang just finished high school. Willow and Tara get together.

Part 1
Willow: “I can’t believe high school is finally over!”
Tara: “I know, this year went by so fast. I’m glad that we are all staying in Sunnydale next year. I would go crazy if one of us went away for school.”
Willow: “I couldn’t agree more. ooh hey buffy!”
Buffy and Xander make their way over to join their two best friends.
Buffy: “Hey guys, what's up?”
Tara: “Just talking about high school being over, and college in the fall.”
Xander: “Will you ever stop talking about school? It’s over for the summer. How about that party next weekend that Liam is having, we all still goin?”
Buffy: “count me in, it’s going to be huge... and I already have a date lined up for it.”
Willow: “Who’s the lucky guy this time?”
Buffy: “Matt Jenson.”
Tara: “I have no idea who that is.”
Buffy: “Whatever, at least I have date.”

Later, as Buffy and Willow are walking home.
Buffy: “Sooo are you sure there is no one you have in mind to take to Liam’s?”
Willow: “I’m positive.”
Buffy: “C’mon there’s gotta be someone!”
Willow: “No one that I cant think off the top of my head.”
Buffy: “What about that cute brunette girl that was on the soccer team, I’ve seen you eyeing her”
Willow: “No way. Besides, I don’t think I am ready to ask a girl out, or coming out to nearly everyone i know. I JUST told you.. I haven’t even told Tara and Xander.”
Buffy: “Well you like her don’t you?”
Willow: “I don’t even know her, I mean she’s cute and everything.. I haven’t even spoken to her, and she probably has a boyfriend and wouldn’t be interested in me.. or girls for that matter.”
Buffy: “Fine. Well, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Willow: “Bye Buff.”
Willow continues walking while Buffy runs up to her house. Both girls oblivious to the fact that Tara had run to catch up to them once Xander left her, and had heard half of their conversation.

Later that evening Tara calls Buffy.
Tara: “Um Buffy?”
Buffy: “Yeah?”
Tara: “I uh.. I heard you and Willow talking earlier, when you were, when you were walking home. Xander left a bit after you two so I tried to catch up..”
Buffy: “Okay, what were we talking about?”
Tara: “Um, you know, just Willow.. she likes a girl?”
Buffy: “Oh that. It’s not my place to say anything, you might wanna talk to Will.”
Tara: “Yeah okay, so I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Buffy: “Yes, I think we are going to meet at 1:00 at Willow’s and then head to the beach.”
Tara: “Okay, bye.”

The next day at the beach, Xander and Buffy are off playing frisbee.
Tara: “There’s something I need to talk to you about.”
Willow: “Alright, what is it?”
Tara: “Yesterday, when you were walking home with Buffy, I uh, I accidentally over heard part of your conversation.”
Willow: “What part?”
Tara: “Well, the part where you talked about how you like a girl.”
Willow: “You heard that?”
Tara: “I didn’t mean to! Xander left so I tried to catch up with you guys, and I just heard it. Then I tried talking to Buffy..”
Willow: “Wait Buffy talked to you about it?”
Tara: “No, no, she just said to talk to you, so now I am.”
Willow: “Oh, okay. So, yes, I, I like.. girls.”
Tara: “How come you didn’t tell me?”
Willow: “I just did, kinda. No, I just didn’t know how you would react, You could have easily freaked out and decided you hate me. Oh, you don’t hate me do you?”
Tara: ”Will, I could never hate you, you’re my best friend.”
Willow: “Good, but I don’t like that girl.”
Tara: ”You don’t? But you said that she’s cute.”
Willow: “ Well, yeah, but there are tons of cuties out there, I’m not in love with all of them.”
Tara: “okay okay okay. You don’t like her, but do you like anyone?”
Willow: “Nope. What about you? Any love interests?”
Tara: “Same, no.”
Buffy and Xander return from their frisbee fun.
Xander: “I am not the worst frisbee player ever!”
Buffy: “yes you are, you caught like 2 of my throws out of all of them and we were playing for like half an hour! face it, you suck.”
Xander: “Well maybe if you didn’t throw it so damn hard.”
Buffy: “Sorry for being better at it then you”
Xander: “Whatever. So what's up now? How about we go grab some food.”
Willow: “Sure I am getting pretty hungry.”
